Fishing pond
Love it here. What's not to like? A beautiful lake high in the mountains. Good fishing for Rainbow Trout, Catfish and some Bass. Stocked regularly. No motorboats allowed, but Electric is good. Lots of kayaks. Swimming in the summer.
Bud B — Google review
The shimmering surface of the lake reflects the vast expanse of the sky. Gentle breezes ripple the water, creating dancing patterns of light. Birdsong fills the air, adding a melodious soundtrack to the serene scene. The scent of pine trees drifts from the nearby forest, mingling with the fresh, clean air. It's a perfect place to escape the everyday and reconnect with nature's tranquility.

Lake is always clean and kept up with, trails are really nice and views are awesome!

Absolutely loved the experience! Fishing for small mouth is fun! The kids got to use the blow up jumping obstacles. The water was a little cold, but the kids dealt with it. Highly recommend this lake.

Beautiful lake. Didn't realize the parking gets full fast. We went around 9:30am and the parking lot was full. So we had to park up a ways and walk down hill. Price is only $10 to park

This is one of the places I like to visit every time I come to this city. Even if you don't swim or do any water sports things, the view and hiking trail next to it is nice.

Place Wased Out On The Flood That Happen 2024..My Husband Helped With The Clean Up There..He Did An Awsome Job..
Spencer T — Google review
First time visiting this place and I was impressed. The General Admission parking and the Casino parking are free. I visited to see a free concert. Little Joe y la Familia was SO good. The concert was held in a big white tent that is closer to the casino parking lot. All the employees were helpful and kind. There are port-a-potties outside the tent. They offer food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages there. They had chairs and tables (first come first serve) and a dance floor. The parking is very hectic, but there are sufficient amount of spaces, you just have to walk a bit. There are bathrooms inside the casino, too, that is directly across the tent. I definitely recommend the concert events.

So this trackjackets! abvertising and on their website that they offered Simulcasting and had a Derby Day watch party as well as a Derby Day 50$ free play on the slots to the adjoining casino if you pick the Derby winner, yet they DO NOT ALLOW SIMULCASTING BETTING ON THE KENTUCKY DERBY!!! The "security guard" informed me of this when I asked where to buy a program (they didn't sell). He said in a very condescending tone that New Mexico and Kentucky are in a "track war" whatever that means. Anyway, when I said it should be stipulated on the advertisement and website because most reasonable people would assume that Simulcasting would be available on the biggest race day of the year he responded with, "well most people who live here know it's been that way for years". Well, not for visitors jackass! Hopefully when live racing starts there it will be a little better experience.

It was my first time at a horse race! It was so much fun! We sat, we stood by the rails, we bet. We did it all. Everyone was nice and one of the horses came up to us and we were able to pet it. They are definitely people oriented. They want you to have a great time. The bar area is clean and the atmosphere amazing! Will he going back!

I visited Ruidoso Downs and ordered the jalapeño bacon burger 🍔 😋 and wings, I really enjoyed it. There's not too many places to eat there, but I will recommend others to visit there. I also enjoyed playing in the casino 🎰 ☺️ also.

My family has been going to Ruidoso Downs for years. We are New Mexico horse breeders and racers. Ruidoso Downs is a favorite track of ours. The facilities are aging but it is still a thrill to head to the races. The horse facilities are very nice, the barns are well maintained and the barn staff is good. At the track the management and staff are top notch. The valets go above and beyond to get you parked and take very good care of your vehicle. In the stands there are many seating options to enjoy the days races. Be sure to get a program to be informed about the races and the horses. Up in the turf club and the Jockey's club meal options are wide and good. There is no shortage of food here. The wait staff again are top notch and go above and beyond to take care of you. I really love Ruidoso Downs and highly recommend a visit. The open Memorial Day and the meet ends Labor Day with the $3million All American Futurity. See you in the winners circle!
Dustin S — Google review
Three Stars because it was a nice family event. We enjoyed watching the races from the table in the smokehouse area. We paid $120 for a table not covered. If we were to do it again I would definitely get covered, as it was very hot. Service in this area was non existent. We had to walk to the bar to order everything we wanted. I asked about food and she said she would send someone over to take our order. About the 15 minutes later someone arrived to take our food order. The only time I saw the server was to take order, drop food, and bring the check (which I had to go find her to ask for) I was overcharged for two double mixed drinks. I showed her on the menu where it had the prices listed for a double. She called the manager. I waited probably another 15 plus minutes and no manager showed. She ended up giving me the difference in cash and said the manager would reimburse her. I did assure that she was for certain going to get reimbursed, as I didn’t want her to personally give me money out of her pocket. She said she would. Overall we enjoyed the day and experience.

Theme Parks
Pillow's Funtrackers in Ruidoso, New Mexico is a lively amusement park located at the heart of the city. It's a popular spot for thrill-seekers and families, offering go-kart racing, mini-golf, bumper boats, an arcade, and a Mountain Maze with hidden checkpoints to find. During summer, kids can enjoy gem panning.
A great place to have fun, while you rest from all the outdoor activities. The 20 tickets per 100 its a good deal if your spending some time or have kids. Some activities arent available on winter. Karts, bumping cars, mini golf, virtual reality games, great options for all the family.
J A — Google review
Everything is really fun! Great place to bring kids. Cool outdoor atmosphere in the mountains. Only giving it 4 stars because 1) the mini-golf course is too hard. So many of the holes' surfaces are uneven, to the extent that if you miss your shot, the ball will roll ALL the way back to the start, or down some other slope. My son and I are generally decent mini-golf putters, but many of the surfaces here are too slanted, and our balls would just not stop rolling. And 2), I think it's a bit expensive compared to similar entertainment centers I've been to. It would be nice if they had an "unlimited play" package (like 2 or 3 hours) instead of requiring tickets for each attraction.

We had a lot of fun!, we bought the 20 tikets special for $100 (tikets are $7 each)
Abigail H — Google review
This is a great spot to take the family or go on a date. We went and had a blast. There were a few families and couples there but there was virtually no wait. We did two out of the three Go-Kart tracks (fun and pro), the mountain maze, and mini golf. It had a great vibe, the staff was very welcoming and would answer any questions that we had. (Older gentleman who worked the mountain maze area around 1pm was super fun to talk to, sorry I did not ask your name.) The only reason this isn't a five star review is because we felt that the adult options were kind of limited. Without a family or kid(s) it did not appear like there was much of a high replay value. We were excited to see that there was a VR area but we didn't end up going over there. Overall a wonderful and fun place to explore and visit.
Tariq O — Google review
The go kart track was great, but it wasn’t smooth it actually was pretty bumpy. If you have a kid that’s smaller, and that can’t ride on the bigger one don’t worry they have a track just for little ones. The bumper cars were great if you like the feeling of getting bumped you probably shouldn’t ride it because it doesn’t even feel like you got hit (required height is at least 40 inches). The put put was great really fun, and some great mechanics. They also have some snacks there not many I wouldn’t eat a meal there. On the go kart the breaks don’t work that well also the top speed is at a ok speed I didn’t ride on the pro one though. They have a Vr system with air hockey, and a gold digging crane you might want to bring quarters because the air hockey, and the gold digging crane need quarters. Hope this was helpful 😁

Winter park featuring snow-tubing runs & zip lines, plus heated igloo tents for rent.
My family and I enjoyed our day at Ruidoso Winter Park. Prefect spot for winter time activities like tubing and zip lining. We had a fantastic time sliding down the different speed chutes. They even have a toddler chute which my grandson adored! We wrapped up our day with a ride on their mountain coaster.
Bonbon S — Google review
I really liked the park it was fun. The slides were great there was organization but every slide took 35-55+ minutes. That I could guess, maybe 1K guests and with a hefty ticket of $80 dollars and $25 for the rollercoaster 1 adult 1 child (5y). I spent 3 hours on lines and 15 minutes sliding. For the price not sure if it's really worth it. But definitely worth the experience
Jose C — Google review
It was our first time and we loved it. It was warm at 55degrees and they have the snow enough to satisfy your winter experience. Pine trees around, and multiple lanes to slide down. There were 2 sections to slide and a spot for little kids. There were food trucks with lots of seating spots. Plenty of parking as well and was for free. The line to slide was pretty long but to het the tags to get in line was fast, at with least 10-15minute wait.
Florence — Google review
We had a BLAST at Ruidoso Winter Park! This was the first year that our family took a mini-getaway to Ruidoso to try snow tubing and we also wanted to check out the new roller coaster. I'm terrified of roller coasters and heights, but the roller coaster goes as fast or as slow as you need it to. It was so fun and enjoyable! The staff there was so friendly and I appreciate how nicely they treated us! There was no wait on any attractions. We didn't buy any food here, but there are food trucks and small store in case you need some clothing or accessories for the snow. The attractions and the service are worth it! 10/10!!
Fernanda D — Google review
Large herds of people seeking winter entertainment. Long lines. Very long lines. Luckily we already purchased our tickets online. When we got there the ticket counters didn't sell any more tickets because of excessive crowds. The ride down the mountain requires an additional ticket. 7 people, around $400 in tickets for 2 rides down the snow plus the roller coaster down the mountain. About 2 hours in line for a total of 5 minutes of fun. Is it worth it?
Andrea C — Google review
Fun place to take the kiddos. A novelty in a place that doesn’t often snow though so it was VERY busy and the lines were long to get into the tubing area (there is a max capacity limit and tubing tickets are good for 3 hours) and more lines to ride the lifts to get to the top of the hills. Definitely recommending buying tickets online even if you have to stand in line to pick them up, at least you have a reserved spot. We do enjoy the actual tubing and the lifts sure beat walking up the hills again and again like we had to do as kids.
Angel R — Google review
Igloo package was nice, attendants were very polite and helpful. Igloo flaps could be more secure at the bottom. We had #5 and it was windy, the bottom kept lifting up and blowing around. Maybe needed more securing. Great time and kids loved the quick lines.

My family visited today and we had such a great time!! The slides were all amazing and all of the staff was super friendly and helpful! My kids are 17 and 11 and they both had so much fun! We did a lot of trecking through the snow, but there is a magic carpet that takes you up both sides of the mountain to the separate slides. We will be making this a yearly trip.

It also features photography, fiber arts, and mixed media exhibits that blend the past with the present. As an affiliate of the Smithsonian, it offers world-class art experiences. The museum guide dressed in 19th-century fashion adds to the immersive experience.
The Museum was Great! We got to get on wagons, horses, try on costumes, and go inside a small Casita! Even the gift shop was great! I bought some turquoise earrings and a coffee cup. Everything in there was amazing 😍!
Amelia D — Google review
I arrived after the place had closed for the day, so I just did the little trail outside and read about the different horses. I'd like to go back and look through the museum itself but with hours like that I dont see it happening. The grounds are clean and the states are very lifelike (at least to a guy who knows nothing about the breeds ha ha)

You must visit! It is an amazing museum full of history and information. Great place for kids and adults. They have areas for kids to touch and play, they can also to dress up. Museum is well kept and clean. It is wheelchair accessible so no one can miss the fun. They also have an area to buy souvenirs.

I love how realistic the displays were set up here. A true representation of the rich history of the Wild West. And you get to play dress up in styles of clothing from that time period. Fun for the entire family.

We spent hours here! The kid's dress up & imagination areas were wonderful! They can also complete a booklet and get a prize. No kids? There is a lot to see. Art, wagons, clothing, etc. Dont miss the horse sculptures outside! Handicap parking is available on the lower level.

A wonderful depiction of the American West. Lovely buggy's, wagons, chuck wagon and other items used to live in the wild west. Beautiful jewelry and household items from The Anne C. Stradling collection. A great place for children to explore. Along with a wonderful reading corner or a buggy to climb on. Take a couple of hours and go explore the history of the area. Note; handicap parking is on the lower back side.

Breakfast restaurant
The Cornerstone Bakery & Cafe is a cozy spot known for its breakfast plates, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and cookies. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay and savor everything they offer. Whether it's their freshly baked green chili bread, delectable cinnamon rolls, or satisfying Mexican lunch options, you're sure to leave feeling full and content after experiencing the down-to-earth charm of this cafe.
I had an amazing experience at The Cornerstone Bakery & Cafe! Steven, the owner, personally came out to make sure everyone felt welcomed and was enjoying their meals, which really added a special touch to the experience. The food is hands down the best in town for both breakfast and lunch, and I’d even say it’s the best in the entire state! The staff were incredibly friendly, with such positive and uplifting energy. Don’t leave without trying their homemade pastries—they’re absolutely delicious!

I love bakeries, and it's not often you get a bakery and a great menu also. I'd never been there before,BDO it was a little confusing when you first enter. There are menus outside and you decide what meal you want, then when you enter you peruse the delightful selection of baked goods and place your order. You're given a dining room to go to and your waitress then gets your drinks and brings your food. The ham steak is $7.50, and it must be 5/8" thick and weigh 1lover 1/2 lb! I couldn't finish it(and I really wanted to)! The food is great and I took home a loaf of chile cheese bread! We went back the next day and had a lighter fare with croissant and lattes! Yummy! This is the kind of place you hope to find when you're out of town!
Gary B — Google review
Wonderful food! It’s obviously a local hotspot. There are tons of signs outside that direct people on where to go. Obviously this is the case because they get long lines. However, we didn’t experience that which was actually really nice. We sat outside and it was brisk, but they had heaters on, and it was nice. All the staff was really friendly and the owner came and checked on us. We ordered fresh squeezedorange juice, and decaf coffee (it was very weak…also, for a place with pretty fresh ingredients we were surprised they didn’t serve their coffee with real half-and-half. However, not a deal breaker). We got a cheese and berry danish thing that was excellent. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with a side of potatoes and their special house cheesy sauce, which was delicious. It was a huge amount of food and I could only eat half of it. My husband ordered savory ham crepes which he said was very good. He ate it all but didn’t eat again until dinner. The portions were hefty! It’s a fun vibe and I would highly recommend going here for breakfast, whether you want something on the lighter side, something sweet or something hearty. They had gluten-free options as well. They can accommodate large groups so I think it’s the perfect spot for families to meet up!

This is a great little bakery, shop, cafe, all in one right off the main drag in Ruidoso. Came highly recommend by 2 friends of ours in Texas. I see why. We came in ona. Sunday at 930am and had 0 wait time. Orders at the counter and got seated. Our plates came out in about 15 minutes. I got the green chili cheddar club sandwich (minus mayo) with a side of their house tomato basil soup. Both were absolutely delicious. I'd get this again for sure. My 10 year old son got the eggs and bacon with diced potatoes and a house baked biscuit. He ate almost all of it. My wife got the sausage and blueberry pancakes. She said they were good but not great, needed more blueberries inside them. Our server was very kind and tentative. The manager came over to check on us as did one of the cooks as well. Nice to see that endgag from staff with their guests. Prices are good for what you get as well. Will be back here again in the future when visiting town.
Josh H — Google review
The food is excellent, but the overall experience could be improved due to long wait times. It takes nearly two hours to receive your breakfast, with extended delays both to secure a spot and for the food to be served. By the time the meal arrives, your appetite may have already diminished.
Vijay S — Google review
What a holiday treat to come here. Great food, crazy amazing prices and a staff that Lights the World with their smiles. There is such a kindness , great food and grateful hearts just perfect for the holiday spirit. Do yourself a favor and try the hot chocolate! Such an amazing find! The food was amazing, great selection and a very wide variety of bakery goods, breakfast meals, and lunches. The atmosphere was beautiful, great view from the outside patio. The service was the only lacking part of this experience. No refills offered, and waited approximately 25 minutes for the waitress to return after the meals were done, just to ask if the checks were separate a 2nd time.

This is a nice cozy place with very friendly service. We arrived around 12:30pm during the lunch rush and was lucky to find a table. There is outdoor seating which I imagine is wonderful during the warmer months. I enjoyed the spinach mushroom quiche with a side Caesar salad while my lunch buddy had the green chile stew soup and side salad. The best part of the meal was the buttermilk pie. It was not too sweet, just right, and the custardy filling was satisfying. If you're in Ruidoso, be sure to check this place out!

If you visit Ruidoso, you must try this place out. My family had the chicken salad sandwich, crab salad sandwich, roast beef sandwich, tomato basil soup, cream of asparagus soup, the blueberry cobbler pie, and the buttermilk pie. EVERYTHING was exceptional. We already said that we will eat here every time we visit. Additionally, their service was absolutely stellar!!! Wow!!!

10/10 this place was 🔥🔥🔥!! First time here and I will definitely be coming back! The whole was so cute and homey. The tomato soup was hearty and so flavorful. First time having pimento cheese and they offered a tasting first. On a croissant that they make in store. I left with a slice of their famous buttermilk pie and it was also so so good! Also cookies!

I love everything about this restaurant. The service is 5 stars! The staff is always smiling, friendly, and attentive! The sandwiches are delicious and the servings are more than enough. I’ve tried various soups and enjoy all of them but my favorite is their French Onion Soup, absolutely delicious. My kids love the Mac and cheese. My husbands favorite meal here is their Crab Salad Sandwich. I’ve tried their pies and they are also satisfying and delicious, you need to give one a try. This is one of Ruidosos hidden gems that you need to try! They have inside sitting and patio sitting as well.

Hall of Flame Burgers is a casual counter-serve grill in Ruidoso, known for its creative burger toppings, fries, and onion rings. It's popular among locals as the go-to place for the best burgers in the city. The restaurant takes great care in crafting their burgers, ensuring top-notch quality from the meat to the flavorful toppings. In addition to their delicious burgers, they also serve excellent Philly cheesesteaks.
Fabulous green chile cheeseburger! Get there early or risk waiting in a long line. Food is ordered at the counter and then delivered to your table. Drinks are self-serve. The only reason the atmosphere score is a bit low is that they are putting in an expansion, and it needs work to be back up to awesome.

Sorry I didn’t expect the “Green” chili cheese fries was gonna be a queso with fries I mean you took the southwest out of the whole thing than I’m not sure if I ate some of the paper as well too other that I hope next time it’s a green chili cheese fries or either that change the name to queso fries

Great place in Ruidoso to eat and have beers. The food was excellent, our party had everything from salmon, Rio Bravo burger, elk burger, tender basket and Manicotti. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. The waitstaff was excellent and friendly. Very accommodating and it had a great atmosphere.

The service was so fast and friendly, we had a wonderful server named Jaimie. The Outlaw stew was to die for bring an appetite. A Hearty Beef Stew and vegetables cooked in an Outlaw Lager sauce served over mashed potatoes. The picture does not do it justice. This is my first 5 star rating.

If I could give this place a zero star I would . We expected a nice Valentine’s Day meal considering the waiter raved about the chef. Our $32 8 oz center cut steak came out bloody after I asked for medium well . I sent it back and it took 15-20 minutes for the waiter to bring it back . The steak was flavorless , tough and dry. By far the worst steak I’ve ever had. My husband isn’t picky and he disliked the steak. The veal was ok , also lacked flavor. The Philly steak cheese was so spicy it was hard for my son to eat. The waiter never came back to check on us, he stood by talking to the table next to us, it seemed he was avoiding us . We had to ask our host to have him bring us our check . We told him the food was awful and didn’t care. . A $32 steak wasted.

We came in for an early dinner on a Saturday and were seated right away. We got a flight of hoppy beers and jalapeño poppers to start. We realized early on that service was slow and ordered our drinks and food before we wanted them. For our entrees, my daughter got the lasagna, I got the crispy chicken sandwich, and my husband got the elk burger. Food was pretty good, portions are massive!

Tina's Cafe, located at 2825 Sudderth Dr in Ruidoso, NM, is a cozy and welcoming eatery that offers hearty breakfast options to fuel your adventures. The cafe serves up classic comfort food such as fluffy pancakes and hearty omelets. Known for its traditional New Mexican cuisine, the menu features dishes with green chile, including the popular Breakfast Burrito and Eggs Benedict.
Great place for breakfast! We requested the patio because the temperature around 11 AM was around 78 or 79 F (August). Beautiful, chill, shaded patio with vegetation and vines swayed to and fro by a cool breeze. Perfect place for New Mexico green Chile chicken enchiladas. The chicken was tender and the Chile was spicy but not hot. We also ordered one of Tina’s breakfast bowls which consisted of red Chile, chorizo and two eggs over easy, and the huevos rancheros platter. The kids’ Mini New Mexico platter was the perfect size for our growing 8 year old. Beware the pancakes are big and fully! We had some beers and enjoyed the breeze with a full belly. Loved it here

Had the pleasure of coming here for breakfast with my hubby this weekend. I want to say that the outside seating is wonderful and so well kept! I ordered eggs Benedict and my hubby got the no name burrito and both were amazing! I’m originally from CA and I’ve never had red sauce as amazing as the kind that they serve! It tastes like my mom’s mole! I can’t wait to come back and thank you for the amazing food!

I came in for the candy pig cinnamon roll but was bowled over by the steak tacos and the super friendly service. The host, server and even the cook were very sweet and clearly wanted to ensure I enjoyed my meal and had everything I needed. Definitely worth a stop!

Went in on a Sunday morning and it was busy. Service started off great however it took us over an hour to get our food. (Party of 4) I think there must have been some sort of mix up in the kitchen. From where I was sitting i could see the the kitchen and our waitress, cook and manager was having a lot of discussion just after she said our food was up. They did give give us some free chips and salsa. Once we did get our food it was very good. I am more willing to give them another chance.
