Fridas is a cool spot honoring Frida Kahlo through authentic Mexican cuisine.
You can taste and see the creativity, the blue shell corn tortillas for the cheese enchiladas were good- essentially the meals here are art within themselves. Evidenced through its taste and design.
We ordered a ton of food: the ceviche a healthy portion of chopped shrimp and the fixings was OK.
A chicken quesadilla, which was simple loaded with cheese and chicken, tasty.
The 2 combo plate with a chili rellano cheese enchilada and rice and beans. The chili rellano - I've never tasted one like this before, it wasn't bad just definitely different.
The cheese enchiladas was in a blue corn tortilla and delicious. Rice and beans were average. It also included a small side salad.
The service was OK overall. Our waitress went MIA towards the end of our meal (we didn't see her again so hope all is ok) so for a while we were waiting, eventually another server came over and took care of our final needs.
The drinks we had were pretty good.
I would say give them a go. When we come back we will try a different Mexican restaurant as they were good, but not sufficient to be my go to when there are many other options to try.
The bathrooms are so exceptionally decorated even my bf mentioned how nice they are!
I do recommend!
