Coming from Colorado we have been sampling different Austria locations. This unique sweet space was just a piece of love !! The food was delicious !! The service prompt and kind !!! We can’t recommend it more !!! Please support these wonderful people!
Everything here was very good.
I chose the blood sausage as a starter. The sauce on the plate gave the dish a stable tone, while the potatoes very gently absorbed the sauce, fresh and flavourful. The blood sausage was crispy on top and the fried onions enhanced the aroma and flavour. The ground spices had a refreshing zing and a botanical sweetness that could easily revive the palate.
The beef steak was soft and chewy, contrasting with the fried potatoes which were crispy on the outside and sticky on the inside. In addition to the fried onions, the sauce on the steak was braised, which made the flavours more solid when eaten. The pickles had just the right amount of pickling flavour, not too sour or too bland. The aroma is pleasantly pleasant in the nose
Even though I was completely stuffed I wanted to try the cheesy bread. The butter and cheese tasted great, both savoury and creamy, the flavours were very distinctive and paired with the bread for a different feel.
Red wine is also great as it gives a richer flavour to the meal.
Next time I'm in Vienna I think I'll bring my friends along to visit this place.
We had dinner here anticipating a very nice Austrian traditional cuisine. However, while the restaurant itself couldn’t be any more traditional, the meals were rather disappointing and the service didn’t ask us about how our meals were which left us to send our message to the kitchen only in the end. The meals: were rather your average Austrian cuisine and it seemed like the chef may have had an incident of pouring lots of salt into everything. I even let my friend taste mine to check just in case I may have been sensitive, not only was it confirmed but it got even worse as we continued ti eat a little more of the salad in the salad for example. For the schnitzel I tried to combat the saltiness with the Preiselbeeren jam. The schnitzel Panade (crumbed skin) was also falling off. The prices are rather expensive for an average Austrian cuisine. If you don’t like cigarette smoke, you might also want to consider going elsewhere, because every other table had a smoker and everyone was seated outside.
