Dishoom Birmingham

I was so impressed by my experience at Dishoom in Birmingham today. I took my mum for a lunch (for her birthday) and we were given a really great table and surprised with a complimentary dessert - so kind and thoughtful. The atmosphere and decor is great. The food and cocktails were all superb and good value. The service was absolutely perfect: friendly and accomplished. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The food was very tasty and fresh. The menu had many good choices. The staff were kind and served fast. The place was clean and quiet. Prices were not too high. I enjoyed the meal and would come back again. Highly recommended this place.

Amazing experience. Timed it perfectly. Went at 11:30am - so was able to order a bacon-sausage naan off breakfast menu as an appetizer; then able to order off Main menu. Had lamb chops, okra fries, mutton pepper fry and chicken biryani with sides of paratha and naan... all were excellent. Bloody Mary cocktail was nice too. Over server (unfortunately forgot her name) was friendly and helpful. Loved the food. Not a single dish disappointed. RECOMMEND.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Dishoom! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed—attentive, warm, and incredibly professional throughout. The food was nothing short of outstanding: every dish bursting with authentic Mumbai flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The service was seamless—efficient yet never rushed. Dishoom has mastered the art of hospitality and culinary excellence. Can’t wait to return—highly recommend!!

I dont often leave reviews but I could not fault our meal with Dishoom last night. Gorgeous cocktails, and amazing food that was brilliantly spicy (even on the dishes that weren't marked as hot! So dont take your korma loving friend!) One ot the best meals either of us have had (and we've travelled a lot)! But the staff team deserve a shout. They were INCREDIBLE. Honestly, I wanted to stay just to watch the way they worked. Despite serving over 1300 people that night (I asked FoH out of interest), they were coordinate to perfection, working non-stop, all supporting each other with a genuine love for their team, while making sure every single guest felt like they were the most important person in the room. There must have been at least 50 staff on site, and they were seamless. It was sheer choreography. Their processes are magic, a table could be left, cleared, reset, and reseated within 30 seconds by around 5 different staff just "passing by" without anyone noticing. It's magic. Their accessibility is also the best I've seen. My friend is a wheelchair user and they were attentive and accommodating without patronising him or hovering, but were available for whatever he needed. Dishoom pays attention to every detail of their service. 5* Amazing!
