Restaurant
Ascotts Bromsgrove is a trendy establishment that specializes in serving authentic street food and craft beverages. The menu features a diverse range of plant-based dishes like jackfruit and mushroom tacos, moving mountains burger, and the not-dog. This bar and kitchen offers an exciting and unique eating experience in Bromsgrove that is sure to leave customers delighted. The venue also caters to events at Lincomb Equestrian with great success.
Wow, amazing food and service. Stop going to big chain restaurants and get down here, honestly can't rate the food highly enough, great location also, easy parking.

Great food, service and dog friendly. We booked a table in the bar area late afternoon on Saturday 25th January. Good time to go for us and with our dog as not too many people in the bar area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered three sides, a burger and loaded fries. Food was delicious and there was plenty enough for two. Left feeling very full! Our dog had lots of fuss from the customers too which he loved.

Love Ascotts and especially since the opening of the upstairs sports bar, having Hawkstone on draught and the kebabs 😂 Staff and the kebab man are always very friendly. Owners are always really nice.

Had a lovely meal this evening at Ascotts. Food was delicious, service was bang on, atmosphere was great. My six year old son really enjoyed it and his meal was the perfect size. He polished off the lot! Highly recommended. Thanks Ben, Vicky and team.

Gluten Free Order Review My partner is celiac and she had the tacos with the Gluten Free chips. This is the best meal she has had in years. Normal Allergen Order I had the chicken burger with chips and I have to say it was excellent. I will definitely be going back.

This is a great small and local place to eat and have a drink with superb service, great choice of drinks and tasty food. However, the prices are absolutely extortionate. The burgers we had were £16.00 each … that was just for a burger! We then had to pay an extra £8.50 for some chips with jalapeños, cheese, guacamole and sour cream on and a further £8.50 for just three chicken tenders!!! We could have had a lot more food for the same price as one burger at a chain restaurant which makes you wonder why people decide to stick to known named places which is a shame!

Visited here this evening. I struggled.to park as there is only on street parking locally. Food is excellent but it's mainly burgers. If you don't like burgers I wouldn't recommend this place. The staff were friendly and we wasn't waiting too long to be served. The only thing that spoils it is that it's not a massive place and the tables are a bit too close together. It's also very noisy. We were in a party of 4 and we struggled to communicate because of the noise of everyone else talking. Overall I had a good time and I would return.

Such a shame... visited valentines evening, had to beg multiple staff for food order to be taken after 40 minutes of being seated, other tables were angered about service making an awful atmosphere; had to go and get drinks ourselves and clear our own table. Dirty cutlery. Disappointed for the money we paid and so were many others that we spoke to when there. Almost like upstairs was neglected and they cared more about takeouts than seated customers. Food was ok but we won’t be back unfortunately.

Pub
Restaurant
Nestled in a serene location by one of Worcestershire's picturesque canals, The Queens Head is a delightful pub and restaurant that beautifully marries contemporary decor with charming original features. Recently renovated, it boasts an inviting atmosphere highlighted by Victorian floor tiles and natural materials like wood and stone. Guests can savor delicious wood-fired pizzas and barbecues while enjoying the landscaped beer garden or dining alfresco in a cozy teepee, perfect for gatherings with friends.
Outstanding restaurant, great for any sort of occasion I’ve attended this restaurant once for a birthday party and another time for a little catch up with my mother as you can see in the photos and videos. I can’t fault this restaurant, the settings are beautiful! Top notch decor and great customer service and of course the food and drinks are up to standard😍 I need to remember to take more footage of the location, food and drinks that order at restaurants so everyone can see more of what to expect😅🤦🏽‍♀️

We found ourselves here following a visit to the Jinney Ring Centre. To be honest we would have ate there however they have now adopted a No Dogs Allowed policy. A Google search, a quick call and we were here in 10 minutes. It was a good 'shout', all the better as we had no idea of what we were about to find. The car park and bridge approach to the place is unusual, there is a small car park adjacent to the entrance but you would be lucky to get on it. Mid afternoon on a Sunday and it was rammed which is always a good sign. It's a very nicely presented place, trendy with a good atmosphere but for me the staff were exceptional. They bent over backwards to find us a seat with the dog, and we're genuinely friendly and attentive throughout. We really enjoyed our meals, the wife having a Sunday lunch and me unusually opting for a burger. She was more than happy, and I enjoyed mine but I would have liked a few more 'frills' e.g., an onion ring or the option of sweet potato chips. Too full for a dessert. Service charge is added to the bill which I was more than happy to pay.

First time here afters years of walking up and down the Tardebigge locks (well worth a visit). This place has an enviable location with a great view of our Midlands canals. Pricey but great food, I had the veggie roast dinner, which was delicious, as was the roast dinner ordered too by my partner. I'd like to come back and try the rest of the menu to be honest. 👍🌟

Ate here recently and it was wonderful, as always. Had the carvery a few times (also 10/10 recommend!) but this time I had the Bourginon Pie which was great but then I had a Ferrero Rocher cheesecake which was To. Die. For. Photo attached - excuse the poor photography, I promise it's amazing! It was honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had at a restaurant. Very well priced, considering the quality of the food you get. I could easily pay more than this in other places for similar quality. Service was warm, friendly and efficient too. All around a gem of a place that people should know about, hence the review.

Fantastic Sunday roast, great food, reasonably price, great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be returning again.

Had a lovely night in here the atmosphere was lovely food and drink was on point be warned if you park down on the overflow car park there are a few steps to navigate after a few

This was a great place to eat. Not quite sure if it is more a restaurant than a pub but very nice. Food was lovely and the styling has a hint of ski chalet about it. It is next to a canal so ask for a canal side table. Looks like it has a good sized function room. Easy access. We'll worth a visit. Staff were super friendly too.

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
Nestled next to Ascott's on New Road, Fuso Restaurant is a delightful Italian eatery that truly stands out. This charming spot, known for its artisanal wood-fired pizzas, is the brainchild of the creators behind Casa Med Tapas. With an extensive menu that caters to all tastes and a well-curated selection of wines and drinks, Fuso offers something for everyone. The intimate setting means it's wise to book ahead, but walk-ins are often accommodated with warmth and hospitality.
Fabulous restaurant! A great selection on the menu, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend going!
Lily H — Google review
The pizza looked like a child's drawing of a pizza, nothing like the pictures on Google or the pizza we got previously half a year ago. It wasn't hot, it wasn't real mozzarella and various described ingredients were missing. It was very disappointing. It was like an awful supermarket pizza. Also trying to use the 10% discount for registering my email address on their page only to be told it's only for dining-in, when all it says on the page is "on your next visit". What made this 2 stars for the food instead of 1 is that the Zucchini fries were decent.
Mitch B — Google review
The food was really good, cannot fault the chefs at all. Would definitely recommend and go back. Fair prices.

Love, love, love this restaurant. The food is always amazing, every time I come. Their cheese fondue is my go to and would suggest it to everyone. When we came without booking, staff would always try their best to accommodate us as soon as they can. Staff is also very polite, hardworking and welcoming. So helpful. Only praise here. The kitchen staff seems great as well. Love it. Keep it up guys.

Lovely food, good value. Apple pie ice tea Mocktail was horrible but that is the only minor. Pizzas, carbonara, CASARECCEPOLLO PICCANTE, CASARECCE ARRABBIATA all amazing. Service could have been slicker, we had to wait 15 mins for a booked table and there is nowhere really to chill and wait, and only one toilet, but I would definitely go back again.
Scott J — Google review
What a little gem of an Italian. We managed to book on the day, although I’d recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is very small. The menu is extensive; something for everyone, including a good selection of wines/drinks. I genuinely couldn’t decide what to have, all of the dishes coming out from the kitchen looked delicious. Just gives me an excuse to go back and try something else. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. They made a big effort to make everyone feel welcome. We had starters and mains, deciding against dessert, as we were super full and there wasn’t that option (for us) that convinced us to do so. I have several favourite Italian restaurants in Birmingham and surrounding areas, but I do think Fuso has taken the top spot! Will definitely return’

We attended a surprise 50th over the weekend where our party had the top floor. The service we had was flawless and the food just amazing. We had the salmon and swordfish. Well done to the kitchen!! I would really recommend this restaurant.

Food was tasty. Main course portion quite small. Price for starters too high, ditto the (very small) bellini. Staff friendly.

Cocktail bar
Slug & Lettuce - Bromsgrove is a trendy bar chain that offers a variety of cocktails and a global classics menu in a modern setting. It stands out from other hidden gems with its bold and vibrant atmosphere. The food is delicious, with the smothered chicken being particularly tasty. The venue's temperature is just right, creating a comfortable experience for customers. The staff are attentive and friendly, especially the manager Josh. Clean toilets with welcoming greetings complete the positive experience.
Visited today for the first time and it was fantastic! The decor is fun and inviting and they even have a photo booth! Food was delicious and the cocktails were tasty! Lily and Evie were friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Great bottomless brunch. Able to sit and have a chat. Liam was really polite and attentive - never had an empty glass! Food was good and served within a good time frame. It was very quiet (Monday afternoon) but that was quite nice as we could enjoy a nice chat without shouting over a table!

Staff member was amazing. He made our cocktails professionally, and served our food with impeccable manners. Food and drinks were amazing and atmosphere was calming. Just what we needed after work. Dan was the person who dealt with us, such a bubbly and polite member of staff, came to check on us throughout so a big shout out to Dan. Thankyou!

Step into a world where the charm of the 1920s meets modern sports enthusiasm at The Dry Spy, nestled in Knowle, Solihull. This unique bar aims to elevate your typical sports viewing experience by offering an elegant ambiance that appeals to those with refined tastes. While patrons rave about the delightful cocktails and delectable dishes like sea bass and beef pot pie, some have noted that the music selection can be a bit mismatched for certain occasions—think lively beats during a relaxed Sunday lunch!
Four of us have just had Sunday lunch. The food was outstanding and the portions were huge. The waitress's were very attentive. My brother received a birthday card signed by the staff containing a £10 gift voucher, off his next meal, plus a personalised birthday dessert. Our pet hates when dining out are: long delays between the main course's arrival and then the veg, then having to wait for sauces/condiment, by which time the food is cold. None of that at the Dry Spy, everything arrived together, plus, lashing's of tasty gravy. The desserts were just as outstanding. Will do definitely return again

The restaurant has a cool retro vibe, delicious food, and fantastic service. With distinct sections to explore, from the cozy ground floor to the charming rooftop terrace, this place offers something for everyone. The quirky decor adds to the ambiance, while the delicious dishes and amazing cocktails ensure a memorable dining experience. Staff always smiling, and very thoughtful.

My daughter had her 21st on the terrace. We had a great night. Staff were fab. Service was great. Emily couldn’t have been more helpful, she decorated the room for us, it looked beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Just had a lovely meal and drinks here, catching up with visiting friends from overseas. We were looked after so well, nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I ordered a selection of the sharing plates, friends ordered steak, burgers, and chicken. The food was delicious and really fresh. Our waitress was so attentive and funny, we left feeling happy and that we'll be visiting again when we're next in the area.

A really great spot for food/drink/cocktails. The atmosphere was good on a Saturday night even relatively early. We enjoyed the food we ordered as well as the excellent selection of cocktails. The 1920s theme is quite subtle (it stops well short of staff being dressed up 'in character') which makes the whole place just feel like a really nice, classy venue to spend time.

Indulgent afternoon tea with friends. Fabulous Pimms with great presentation. Sumptuous decor and great service.

Loved it. We had the pleasure of a 'bottomless brunch' here recently. We had not been previously and booked it on a last-minute impulse. We were not disappointed . Once the menu options had been explained we enjoyed a 'full English' plate which was a smaller version of the traditional breakfast made with top quality ingredients. The advantage of the smaller plate is that the menu also provides sweet breakfast options. We chose the blueberry pancakes and French toast with lemon curd, both with thick Greek yoghurt. Drinks were included and we enjoyed a variety of mocktails. Superb food, attentive friendly service.
Paul S — Google review
Really disappointed with my latest visit to the Dry Spy. We came here because it was recommended but I think we caught them on an 'off' night! The Sav blanc was warm and cheap - I even asked for a glass of ice just so we could drink it yet when the bill came it was £12 a glass! Pork belly and Calamari was OK. The risotto and the seabass were bland - I actually left 3/4 of mine because I wasn't enjoying it. I didn't even bother with a pudding! The staff were friendly and nice but I did have to go and ask for our drinks because they'd been forgotten and they were stood around talking. Don't sit by the speaker if you want to talk to your friends as the music comes on at 9pm and is very loud. All in all, a birthday meal that was very disappointing in all areas and I won't be returning unfortunately. Very overpriced for what it is!
