Hall & Woodhouse Bath is a fantastic place with great food, ambiance, and service. Reviewers highlighted the delicious Sunday roasts, unique menu choices like fish and chips with a twist, attentive staff, spacious seating areas with quirky decor, impressive rooftop terrace for drinks, dog-friendly atmosphere with water bowls and treats provided, cozy interior design, and reasonable prices. While some mentioned minor issues like slow service or average food quality in certain instances, overall recommendations were highly positive due to the welcoming ambiance and tasty offerings.
The Venue itself is very nicely devoured, the atmosphere is very chilled and ambient, we had 3 small plates as a shared starter for 2 and then the Bacon Chop and the Steak and Tanglefoot Pie from the Mains. Also a good range of drinks to choose from. Amazing... Our waitress for our visit was Ella, she was very friendly, helpful and efficient.
Sunday roast with friends. Nice roast. Good vibes-very chilled and lovely atmosphere and decor. The best Yorkshires, they were huge! Also really lovely well-cooked carrots. Thanks to our server/waitress Charlotte R who was very sweet, smiley and attentive to our needs!
Something of a hidden-gem this place as whilst it’s quite a large venue it’s a bit tucked away.
We were looking for somewhere to have a nice lunch to finish of a great “Christmassy” weekend away in Bath and so settled for this place.
My wife ordered Roast Beef, whilst I went for the Pork Loin dish which comes with mash on the menu, plus a few sides/extras.
The mushroom starter is a lovely dish to get going with, great to share we found.
The Halloumi Fries were okay, a bit overcooked unfortunately but the dip worked well.
The roast Beef was very nice, moist and full of flavour. The Yorkshire puddings were overcooked sadly.
In regards to my Pork Loin dish it served as a sort of hybrid as it didn’t come with mash as advertised but instead Roast potatoes.
Erin provided us with great service going above and beyond in my opinion, not often you find that these days.
Toilets were found to be clean and generally in good condition aside from a broken tap in the gents.
I would have happily given this place a 5-Star review if the food hadn’t been overcooked and served correctly, sadly I have to mark it down as I would have expected better.
I had high hopes for this place as it was recommended by a friend who lived in bath years ago but sadly I left feeling disappointed. Firstly, we ordered a starter to share but weren’t given any plates. Then for mains I went for a fish pie which largely consisted of large chunks of leeks and cheese with barely any fish. The potatoes were thrown on top (not a pie) and the side salad was old spinach, 2 tomatoes and a small amount of red onion. My partner’s burger was cold and overdone. Our waitress was nice but it seemed odd that the chefs were standing around chatting to waitresses in front of the open kitchen.
We had a beautiful private room for our daughter 21 st , our food choices some got changed but the manager was professional and gave us a complimentary bottle of cava and sorted the bill accordingly , the staff Erin and another girl waitressing who we didn't get her name was excellent, would fully recommend xxx
