Castle
Sights & Landmarks
The Tower of London is a medieval castle with a rich and bloody history, housing the Crown Jewels and iconic Beefeaters. It offers dramatic views of the Thames River and is located near Brick Lane. The luxurious Cheval Three Quays at The Tower of London provides contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments with stunning vistas of landmarks such as the Tower Bridge, The Shard, and the remains of the Roman London Wall. Guests can enjoy spacious accommodations with full-service kitchens and oversized bathrooms.
It is a pleasure to see a lot of history being preserved and displayed for public. Make sure you book in advance and give atleast around 4-5 hours to cover most of the attractions and gift shops. The main attraction including the Crown Jewels can have a queue for about 40 mins or so on a good sunny weekend.

Fantastic educational and historical place to visit... Absolutely the crown jewel of the crown jewels! The tower itself is daunting, the pure history is absolutely chilling! I would love to go to this place at midnight and just wait for the ghosts to rise :-)
Chris E — Google review
Bigtime history visit with insight into the royal family and English culture. The exhibit featuring the crown jewels wasn't too crowded (no photos allowed), but you can get within arm's length through glass. The entire complex is a a lot of fun to explore and there's a good view of tower bridge.
Joe ( — Google review
A London must-see! I highly recommend getting a private tour first thing in the morning so you are able to see the opening of the gates & you are one of the first people inside to see the crown jewels which tends to get extremely busy as the day goes on, often having a long queue. We used the company Walks and it was just a three hour tour with a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. I would allow between 3 to 5 hours to view this historic spot.

The Tower of London is a truly fascinating place, rich in history and incredibly well presented. Everything is beautifully described, making it easy to follow the stories behind this iconic fortress, from its role as a royal palace to its darker past as a prison. For anyone even slightly interested in history, this is an absolute must-visit. The atmosphere of the ancient walls, the stories of past monarchs, and the legendary ravens all add to the unique experience. A true highlight of the visit is the Crown Jewels – simply breathtaking. The intricate craftsmanship and historical significance make them an unforgettable sight. Highly recommended for history lovers and anyone wanting to experience a key part of British heritage!

When we visited, unfortunately the palace area wasn't open nor was the chapel area. There were a lot of stairs involved - I have disabilities but while I was able to handle the stairs, others may not be able to. However, it was a nice look around and an interesting place with lots of history. Unfortunately we missed one bit that we wanted to go to as they started closing bits off earlier than the closing time. I do not think it is worth the price.

Interesting experience, the main building in the middle has lots of interactive activities for children. The changing of guards was fun to watch. It’s a shame you can’t take pictures inside where the Crown Jewels are.
Abigail S — Google review
Loved it! The crown jewels are definitely worth it to see. Unfortunately, I have no photos of them here because you’re not allowed—they’re pretty strict about it. If you go, make sure to do the free initial tour included. We were in a big group with this guy who was super awesome and entertaining. Definitely one of the highlights.

Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in London, offers visitors the chance to explore its lavish private and state rooms or witness the iconic changing of the guard ceremony. For history enthusiasts, nearby attractions like Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London are highly recommended. Additionally, a leisurely stroll by Buckingham Palace may provide an opportunity to catch a glimpse of royalty or admire the handsome guards.
A Stunning Royal Landmark! Buckingham Palace is a must-visit when in London! The grandeur of the palace, with its iconic facade and rich history, is truly impressive. Watching the Changing of the Guard ceremony is a highlight—it’s a fascinating display of tradition and precision. The surrounding gardens and Victoria Memorial add to the beauty of the area, making it a great spot for photos. While you can’t always go inside, the exterior alone is worth the visit, and during the summer months, the State Rooms offer a rare glimpse into royal life. A trip to London wouldn’t be complete without seeing Buckingham Palace!

Buckingham Palace was really just okay. I saw it from afar and that was enough. We were early enough to see the changing of the guards so we stayed. It was extremely crowded. I didn't get to see much from where I stood inside the railings. However, the five stars go to Police Officer Wilson. I admired they way he spoke to everyone there. When he saw little kids, he'd give them a high-five and a candy. He had a great big smile on his face the entire time even though he repeated himself 100 times a minute to oblivious tourists. I heard him mention to a fellow officer that Sunday would be his last changing of the guard because he's retiring Tuesday (3/18/2025). Officer Wilson, I pray that your retirement brings you more joy, health and wealth (and that cup of coffee with one sugar) than you can imagine! Without knowing you had the attention of quite a few adults who smiled at your witty comments, jokes and genuine approach to those that crossed your path. You sir are a Legend!
Martha — Google review
Prepare for it to be busy! Recommendations: look up ahead of time for schedules at the palace, and base your trip on what you would like to witness. We lucked out for the changing of the guard, however not knowing it would happen we were rushed off the street to be in the crowd looking over people’s heads (still worth it for the music and ambience). They had patrolling officers on horseback and bike to issue instructions and warnings to the crowd. Most definitely recommend keeping your bags in front of you for safety as the pick-pocketing scene is unfortunately pretty popular. Volunteers and officials were kind and able to answer a variety of questions about their careers and the area too.

Buckingham Palace is a stunning symbol of British history and royalty! The grand architecture, iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony, and beautifully maintained surroundings make it a must-visit. Whether admiring from the outside or exploring the State Rooms, it’s a truly majestic experience.

Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch, stands as a symbol of the nation's rich history and grandeur. The Changing of the Guard ceremony is a must-see spectacle, showcasing the precision, discipline, and tradition of the British military. Crowds gather daily to witness the impeccably dressed guards move in perfect synchrony, accompanied by a marching band. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the experience captures the essence of British heritage. Arriving early is recommended to secure a good viewing spot. A visit to London is incomplete without witnessing this iconic royal tradition.
Ken W — Google review
Visiting Buckingham Palace was an incredible experience, even though we went during a particularly busy time. The palace itself is stunning — the architecture, the beautifully maintained grounds, and the sheer sense of history make it a must-see in London. The State Rooms were particularly impressive, with their intricate details and opulent decor giving a real sense of the monarchy’s long-standing tradition. That said, the crowds were quite intense, which made it hard at times to take in the atmosphere or get a good view of certain displays. The queue to get in was long, but the staff managed it well and kept things moving. It would have been nice if there were more crowd control inside to allow for a more relaxed viewing experience. Overall, despite the crowds, it was a memorable visit. If you’re planning to go, try to book an early time slot to avoid the busiest periods. It’s definitely worth seeing at least once!

Cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
St. Paul's Cathedral, a 17th-century church with a towering 365ft-high dome, is an iconic landmark in London. Despite being rebuilt five times, it remains a breathtaking structure and one of the city's most famous churches. Visitors can explore its peaceful interior adorned with stunning artwork and find tranquility in the churchyard and gardens outside. As a working cathedral, visitors should plan their visit around opening times or attend a service for a more immersive experience. St.
St Paul’s was lovely. There is a free audio tour with headphones and a digital screen with videos to watch as you go through the cathedral included with ticket price. This was very helpful!! There were Lots of places to sit down and enjoy looking around. It was a beautiful cathedral with amazing art in the dome and good bus links. You Can do the highlights tour on the audio guide in 30-40 minutes if in a rush, or a more detailed one if you would prefer. There was a cafe, toilets and shop on site. A nice trip.

Visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral in London was a truly spiritual and emotional experience for me. I am originally from Kerala and have been working in Saudi Arabia for almost a year now. Being away from home, one of the things I miss the most is attending church regularly. After such a long time, stepping into St. Paul’s Cathedral on a Monday brought me a deep sense of peace and connection that I’ve been longing for. I attended worship from 11:30 to 12 PM and received my Holy Communion during the service. The moment was incredibly special—quiet, meaningful, and filled with grace. It reminded me of the comfort and strength I used to feel in my home church. I truly felt God’s presence in that beautiful space. The cathedral itself is breathtaking. Its grand architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and the gentle light filtering through the stained glass created the perfect setting for prayer and reflection. The clergy and staff were welcoming and kind, which made me feel right at home despite being so far away from it. This visit wasn’t just another moment in my travel—it was a moment of spiritual renewal. I left with a full heart and a calm mind, thankful for the experience. For anyone missing their spiritual home or looking for a place to reconnect with their faith, I highly recommend visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral.

A masterpiece that impresses from every angle Although we couldn’t go inside because it was closed the day we passed by, just seeing St. Paul’s Cathedral from the outside was an unforgettable experience. Its architecture is simply majestic — a blend of elegance, history, and spiritual power that stands proudly in the heart of London. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1710, this cathedral is one of the most iconic in the world. Its massive white dome is a distinctive symbol of the London skyline and one of the largest in the world. From the outside, the stone details, columns, and statues convey a sense of grandeur and calm at the same time. The square surrounding it is also charming, perfect for sitting down, watching, and enjoying the atmosphere. We were definitely left wanting to see the interior — home to the famous Whispering Gallery and the crypt where historic figures like Nelson and Wellington are buried — but the view from outside was already powerful. Tip: If you’re in London, don’t miss it. Make sure to check the opening times beforehand, because going inside is definitely worth it!

A Masterpiece of Architecture and Faith St. Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s most iconic landmarks, renowned for its breathtaking dome, rich history, and spiritual significance. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London (1666), the cathedral stands as a testament to resilience and Baroque grandeur. What Makes It Impressive? The Dome – Dominating London’s skyline, the cathedral’s 365-foot-high dome is an engineering marvel. Visitors can climb to the Golden Gallery for panoramic views of the city. Whispering Gallery – Inside the dome, this unique acoustic phenomenon allows whispers to travel along the walls—an unforgettable experience. Stunning Interior – The cathedral’s nave, adorned with intricate mosaics and gilded details, leads to the awe-inspiring High Altar and the American Memorial Chapel, honoring WWII soldiers. Historical Tombs – The crypt houses the tombs of famous figures like Admiral Lord Nelson, the Duke of Wellington, and Sir Christopher Wren himself (whose epitaph reads, “If you seek his monument, look around you”). Royal Connections – St. Paul’s has hosted major events, including Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, Winston Churchill’s funeral, and the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. Visitor Experience Guided Tours offer deep insights into the cathedral’s history. Evening Services & Choral Performances – The celestial choir adds to the spiritual ambiance. The Café in the Crypt provides a unique dining experience among historic memorials. Final Thoughts St. Paul’s is more than just a church—it’s a living monument of British history, art, and faith. Whether you’re an architecture enthusiast, history buff, or spiritual seeker, this cathedral leaves a lasting impression.

Gorgeous cathedral! We did the Triforium tour. This was informative but definitely not for young kids. It took you up to the first level of stairs (250 steps or so). Definitely do not go to the top of the dome (golden gallery) before the Triforium tour. It is better to go up once the tour has completed. The view at the top is remarkable. The stairs are very tight and not for those with claustrophobia.
Andrew J — Google review
So much history and stunning views! Alan was a fabulous tour guide! Loved the views from the top of the dome— our legs feel it today! 530+ steps to the top and back down! There are some points that are a little tight but once you get to the top the view is worth every scared feeling you have. After you get to a certain point there aren’t any seats to rest so keep that in mind if you are elderly or get fatigued easily!

The cherry blossoms at St Paul’s Cathedral in London are absolutely stunning during spring. The soft pink blooms perfectly frame the majestic dome, creating a dreamy and picture-perfect scene. It’s a peaceful spot to sit, soak in the beauty, and snap a few photos. Arrive early to avoid the crowds and enjoy the calm atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re in London during blossom season!
Niharika D — Google review
One of the most amazing experiences in London. Climbing the top of the dome to overlook the entire city with 360 degree views!!! The church was beautiful as well. All of the kids we saw absolutely loved the climb up to the top. There are three stops; inner balcony overlooking the church pews below, external ring of the outer dome overlooking the city and top of the dome overlooking the city. Get the tickets on the website ahead of time, save money, and bypass the lines at the front door and enter through the side.

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Tower Bridge provides visitors with a unique experience, offering panoramic views from its high-level walkways and access to the original lifting machinery. It stands out as the only place on the list that offers direct views over the Thames River. The moderately priced tickets provide a self-guided tour with fascinating city views, historical insights into the bridge's construction and London itself, interactive exhibitions, and demonstrations of how the bridge works. Additionally, it features a glass bridge section that creates an unusual sensation of walking on air.
✅ Architectural Marvel – A beautiful combination of Gothic Revival architecture and engineering brilliance. The twin towers and blue suspension cables make it one of the most photogenic spots in London. ✅ Glass Walkway & Exhibition – Visitors can walk on the high-level glass floor walkway for amazing views of the Thames and London skyline. The Tower Bridge Exhibition showcases its history and mechanics. ✅ Great Views – Offers incredible sights of The Shard, Tower of London, and Canary Wharf. ✅ Historic Significance – Opened in 1894, it remains a working bridge, lifting for large ships even today. ✅ Well-Connected – Easily accessible from Tower Hill Station (Circle/District Line) and London Bridge Station (Jubilee/Northern Line).

Our visit to Tower Bridge in London was truly one of the best experiences we had as a family during our trip. The iconic structure is not only a marvel to look at from the outside, but the inside tour adds so much depth and excitement to the visit. The high-level glass walkways gave us stunning views over the River Thames and the city, and walking across them was both thrilling and memorable—especially for the kids! One of the highlights for us was the family activity session inside the Tower Bridge Exhibition. It was a hands-on creative experience where my child and I got to make art using patterns we had seen around the bridge. We used threads and aluminum foil to recreate these patterns, and then brought them to life with color. It was such a fun and engaging way to tie in art with history, and it really kept the little ones interested and involved. We also planned our visit to coincide with the bridge opening, which added something extra special to the day. Thanks to the online schedule available on the official website, we were able to time our arrival perfectly and watch the bridge lift for a passing boat—a really unique and cool thing to witness in person! A quick tip: I highly recommend booking your tickets in advance. It helped us avoid the long queues and get straight to enjoying everything Tower Bridge has to offer. Between the amazing views, the interactive exhibits, and the well-organized family activities, it was a fantastic day out that we’ll all remember for a long time.

The combination of its historic architecture and stunning views of the Thames makes it truly special. You can walk across the high-level glass floors for a unique perspective of the city or explore the engine rooms to learn about the bridge’s fascinating Victorian engineering. The area around the bridge is lively and offers great photo opportunities, especially at sunset. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning, Tower Bridge never loses its charm.

This is a fantastic place to visit off the beaten track and something a bit different. The walk up to the top of the hill and then up the steps is harder than actually walking up the mound. It’s well worth it once you get to the top, the views are amazing! At the fort below, there is a museum which is very interesting about the history of the mound. If you have a spare couple of hours, then I’d strongly recommend this place, especially if the weather is nice. Theres a nice bar/ cafe on the exit to chill out and recharge your batteries!
David W — Google review
One of the most iconic bridges in the UK! It’s so majestic and beautiful that it’s difficult to talk your eyes off it. The bridge is walkable and gives you great views of the Thames river, of the Tower of London, and of the Shard. The tower even opens up from the middle for the ships to pass - it’s a wonderful sight to behold. You can buy tickets to walk up the tower that holds the bridge for even wider views. The walk by the river, under the bridge, is very comforting. You will find small stalls selling snacks and also restaurants and pubs with a view of the bridge. You have plenty of space to sit there, click pictures, have a picnic and what not. Hope you enjoy your visit!
Ankitha C — Google review
Beautiful. By boat is a must. If you get a hop on- hop off bus pass, many can add the boat ride for a portion of the bus line; we used Toot Bus. You're able to get off the bus and ride a tour boat down the river to the next bus stop. This happens to be right up to the bridge where they make a 360 turn to give everyone a chance to view up close.

Tower Bridge is an iconic symbol of London, often mistakenly referred to as London Bridge. This remarkable feat of Victorian engineering is not only a functional drawbridge but also a popular tourist destination offering stunning panoramic views from its high-level walkways. Situated next to the historic Tower of London, the two landmarks share a rich past filled with fascinating stories. Visiting Tower Bridge provides a unique opportunity to explore its history, architecture, and the vibrant atmosphere of the surrounding area—a must-see experience for anyone in London.

Beautiful bridge especially lit up at night. Great views of the city from the tower walk, inexpensive and totally worth it. I recommend booking in advance. It has glass floor sections which are amazing! The engine room is included in admission. The tower walk is accessible by lift for those unable to walk the steps.

Hyde Park, a Grade-listed Royal Park in Westminster, spans over 340 acres and is a favorite among tourists and locals. It offers various activities such as tennis, boating, swimming in the Serpentine lake, and horse riding. Visitors can also pay tribute to Princess Diana at the Memorial Fountain or enjoy refreshments at several cafes within the park. This centrally located park is a must-visit for anyone exploring London, with attractions like the Serpentine Gallery and Kensington Gardens.
One of the London’s best park. Great place to go for walking, jogging or simply hanging out with friends or families. For me the best time to visit is during autumn where the leaves turned yellow and red, simply beautiful and peaceful.

It’s a vast park! The paths were wide and well-maintained, and I really enjoyed walking while feeling the refreshing breeze. There were lots of people out for a walk, but it didn’t feel crowded at all. My children aren’t so into playground equipment – they prefer running around on the grass and exploring, so they absolutely loved this park.

A Peaceful Escape in the Heart of London – Hyde Park 🌳 Hyde Park is one of London’s most iconic and beautiful green spaces, offering a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Located right next to Marble Arch, it’s a great spot for a relaxing walk, a picnic, boating on the lake, or simply enjoying nature in the heart of the city. I've visited Hyde Park so many times I’ve lost count, but I always find it refreshing to get some greenery while in London. It’s also a great place for hosting picnics and get-togethers. However, one issue that has noticeably increased over time is crime in the park. While playing volleyball with friends, a kid attempted to steal the ball in broad daylight as if it was normal. When I caught him, it seemed like a common occurrence, which was baffling and, unfortunately, a reflection of the wider crime issues in London. Despite this, the park itself is massive, with vast open spaces, tree-lined pathways, and peaceful lakes. The Rose Garden is a beautiful spot to take in colourful blooms, and the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen is a great place to grab a coffee or a bite to eat while overlooking the lake. For those interested in history and landmarks, Hyde Park is home to Speakers’ Corner, the Diana Memorial Fountain, and the impressive Wellington Arch nearby. It’s also a great location for cycling and running, with well-maintained paths and plenty of space to move around. One small downside is that it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. If you're looking for a quieter experience, visiting in the early morning is ideal when the park is more peaceful. Overall, Hyde Park is a must-visit for anyone in London—whether you’re a tourist, a local, or just looking for a peaceful retreat in nature. It’s the perfect place to unwind, breathe in fresh air, and enjoy one of London’s best outdoor spaces.
The L — Google review
Nice scenery. There are swans and other birds and animals around Hyde Park, which are accustomed to humans, so they don't run away when you walk past them. This allows you to take beautiful pictures near them. There is also an on-site restaurant that you can go relax at after a walk around the park.
Claudia M — Google review
I enjoyed my visit in London as a whole but the park visit is my most relaxing. It is the best park I’ve visited so far together with the Kensington Park. The massiveness and serenity of the place is wonderful. You can find your own nook to have your picnic or just read a book and snooze a bit. The best part is you will relax seeing the swans, ducks and other birds freely doing their own things. There are nice restaurants and public restrooms that you can easily access.
Christina V — Google review
No sparkling lights, or boisterous vendors marking your path. Just the sweet, simple beauty of our natural earth and sounds of nature. So pure. So beautiful. A lot of thought and care goes into these grounds so we can enjoy the experience that is Hyde Park. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Rochelle Canteen is a unique dining spot located in the bike shed of a school turned arts and media complex. Despite its unconventional setting, it attracts those in the know seeking a romantic meal or a leisurely afternoon in its garden during summer. As the sister restaurant to St. John, it offers a short, modern menu with rich and comforting fare, including excellent pies and delectable desserts.
Delicious food with delicate and amazing flavours - loved the scallops, the mussels, the courgettes and the pumpkin soup (bread was a bit disappointing as it was cold and the butter was hard to spread - excellent to dip in the sauces of the dishes though). Excellent wine list. Servers were friendly and attentive. The garden area is really beautiful on a sunny day. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful and quite elegant canteen, focusing on classic dishes. You could either sit inside or in their heated tent. Located by a lush cute garden, in a calm neighborhood. Very popular, so a reservation is recommended to dine here. Food was good, but slightly overpriced perhaps. Service was polite, but not the warmest nor happiest.

The entrance is hard to find (hidden behind an unassuming door with an intercom) but the interior is spacious! Service is quick and the waitresses are friendly :) The menu changes every now and then but this time, friends and I had the wigeon (£32), roast pork (£28) and turbot (£32). Roast pork was the best to me! We also had the apple crumble which is made in-house, it was delish and not too heavy.

Fine dining restaurant
Gymkhana is a renowned Indian restaurant located in London, drawing inspiration from the elite social clubs of India during the Raj era. The family-run eatery has been awarded a Michelin star since 2014 for its exceptional blend of classic and contemporary Indian cuisine. The restaurant's opulent decor on the ground floor reflects the residential mansions of Kolkata, while an elegant underground space is inspired by North Indian architecture. Gymkhana offers two private dining vaults for intimate gatherings.
Absolutely the best restaurant experience I've had in London! Gymkhana offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere paired with an exceptional menu. Our waitress was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the course menu, and every dish was bursting with rich, unforgettable flavors. Hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had.
Jordan H — Google review
I'm basing this review on the overall experience as opposed to the food. Can't fault Gymkhana on the décor, atmosphere or service. Everything was perfect. Our host was very friendly and took time to explain the menu options and to answer any questions we had. I booked a lunch reservation for my Birthday and we had the lunch tasting menu.  To me, this seems to be the best option to go for, as opposed to the full tasting menu, which offers a few more options.   The lunch menu seems to be more value for money for this type of fine dining establishment. The food was nice, nothing extra special or out of this world.  The best thing I had was the lamb chops (extra supplement)   These were the most meatiest lamb chops I've ever had in my life and they were cooked to perfection. Would I return?   No.   Was it worth experiencing one time for a special occasion?  Yes.

I came here for a Valentine’s Day dinner with my husband. He had booked it back in November and was only able to get a 10:30 reservation, so we already had high expectations from the get go given such limited slots. We arrived early and asked if we could get seated earlier and staff member kind of just left us waiting outside which wasn’t the best first start. As it was a cold night we just decided to go back in and the maître de welcomed us in politely and was able to seat us straight away and we got our menus. Although we booked for the Valentine’s Day tasting menu, we were still able to order from main dinner menu and so I swapped my set dessert for the Rasmalai as I am not a fan of Gajar Halwa which was the only non-alcoholic dessert option out of the two on the set menu. We ordered the non-alcoholic drinks from the menu and I was slightly disappointed both in presentation and in taste. I’ve attached photos. Mine was just a weak rose drink in a martini glass with a one loose rose petal. The main food was delightful, it was authentic and homely yet still elevated. I particularly enjoyed the duck egg burji with crab and truffles and the gucchi malai mutter paneer. Desserts were presented beautiful and continued on from the mains in quality. Other than the non-alcoholic drinks I would definitely recommend Gymkhana the food was extremely filling and we left stuffed so make sure you come hungry so you can really enjoy the meal.

No doubt that the butter chicken was the best I have eaten in my life. The rest of the dishes were average or even disappointing. We tried many of the popular dishes. We were visiting London from Norway and had booked well in advance to reserve a lunch spot. Two adults and one child, bill came to GBP 150 (we drank water for which we were charged GBP 11). Will we come again? No. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, but only because of the butter chicken. Overall, I hate to say this as I really wanted to be proven differently, but Gymkhana is overhyped. Perhaps they have lost their path with all the recent fame. In terms of the lamb chops, Tayyabs in Whitechapel are much superior in taste and you pay GBP 10-15 for a portion and not GBP 70. In Stavanger (Norway) we have a curry house called Mogul India: we left feeling as a family that it was superior to Gymkhana.

Absolutely fantastic as usual. We’ve been many times and is a favourite with the whole family. The food is outstanding- especially the pani puri and the way the Game options are cooked. Curries are authentic and of high quality. The service however, is the star. Special shoutout to Darshan Gore and Denzel for taking such good care of us and ensuring we have a wonderful experience. The rest of the staff is also fantastic.

Loved the food - the prawns were exquisite! The desserts were out of the world. Didn’t like the ginger drink but the salted lassi more than made up for it. I wasn’t comfortable with the damp smell in the restaurant where we were seated. It wasn’t an ideal ambiance for us.

We had the 3 course lunch menu which was absolutely delicious. The portions are huge and so flavourful, we walked away very full! Everything is served to the table so we were easily able to try multiple dishes. We were seated downstairs which had a lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend!

British restaurant
St. John is a renowned restaurant located in a whitewashed ex-smokehouse, where Fergus Henderson gained fame for his offal dishes. The bar at St. John is dog-friendly and even offers bone marrow treats for furry companions. The menu features simple British cuisine, including the legendary bone marrow and parsley salad, cold roast pork with dandelion and shallots, cheese and chutney sandwiches, hot-cross buns, and Eccles cakes.
I was recommended St John’s, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The space is interesting, with the bar area set in what looks like an old smokehouse, adding a bit of character. The restaurant itself is clean, white, and minimal, with a rustic touch that ties everything together. It’s simple but works well. One of the standout features is the in-house bakery, which seems to handle all the desserts, and they do an incredible job. The service was excellent. My server Callum was fantastic—friendly, helpful with the menu, and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. He even spoke to head chef John, who then came out for a chat, which was a really nice surprise and made the night even more special. The food itself was outstanding. Every dish was top quality, perfectly executed, and full of flavor. It’s clear why St John’s has a Michelin star and has kept it. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for incredible food in a relaxed and unpretentious setting. It’s well worth a visit!

I was there for an invited dinner through a scientific event. The food was excellent and my options were all vegan. We had very good wine and food overall and the service and staff were friendly, fast, and particularly welcoming. Of course the atmosphere is very nice considering the old grounds and the nice architecture.

Absolutely stunning restaurant! I was here recently and had some of the most fantastic food. Firstly we were pleasantly greeted by a lovely gentleman (didn’t catch his name but he was super chatty and lovely). And we were seated right by the kitchen which was perfect! Loved seeing the chefs work, one of them was butchering a whole pig at one point - incredible! The food was an easy 10/10. The bone marrow was easily the best dish we had, it’s obvious why they run out of this so quickly. The pork head and broth was so rich and delicious and we loved the lamb and the blood cake too. And how could I forget the Welsh rarebit. So rich and delicious. I want this again! And I’d go back just to have the bone marrow again and again. Highly recommended.

A disappointing visit to what had been one of our favorite restaurants. The quality of the food at St. John has always been the foundation of our love for the institution, but it feels as though there isn’t the same care for the preparation as there has been in the past. The bone marrow was remarkably dry. The other dishes lacked any flavor. The only saving graces were the Welsh rarebit and the lemon tart.

I'm giving this 5 stars overall as the experience and concept were bit spot on. Great service, flexible when we decided to eat further mains and knowledgeable when it came to drinks. The food was not very precisely cooked/prepared (liver over, bacon dry without being crispy ,mussel salad watery) but they were quite busy. Overall 100% recommended. Treat yourself to the Madeline's - ethereal 😍

In a room of white so still, Where linens drape and time stands still, Plates arrive, a work of art, Each a feast, a perfect start. The menu shifts with each new day, Check ahead, don’t lose your way. The staff will guide if you’re unsure, A dining haven, calm and pure. For six we booked, a lucky find, Weeks ahead, the stars aligned. Crab and herring, bright and bold, Flavors fresh and stories told. Gurnard, golden, placed with care, Pork cheek rich beyond compare. Greens and potatoes on the side, Simple joys that none denied. Then dessert—a final cheer, Honeycomb and sponge appear. Sticky, sweet, and deeply spun, Every bite a perfect one. Steep the price, but worth it all, A meal to hold, a night to call. For here, the food alone will shine, A masterpiece in every line.

We enjoyed a relaxed and very tasty Monday lunch at the end of a long weekend in town. We've been here before and the constantly changing menu didn't disappoint. Attentive service in a busy dining area that was arranged to provide atmosphere without overcrowding.

One of my favourite restaurants in the world and one of the best arguments for British food I've ever experienced. The staff were incredible, the perfect balance of attentiveness and leaving you to enjoy your food and company. They also advise on how much we should order (they actually suggested that we ordered too many side dishes) as well as wines to pair well with different dishes. The food itself was, as you would expect, exceptional. The famous Bone Marrow exceeded the hype, we had Pigeon and Sole which were beautifully cooked with the perfect accompaniments. This place has made me wish Welsh Rarebit was available as a side in every restaurant. The meal overall was very good value for money considering the amount and quality of what we ate. Absolutely looking forward to going back at the soonest opportunity.

Fine dining restaurant
The Clove Club is a cutting-edge restaurant and bar located in Shoreditch, offering an innovative British menu that showcases often-overlooked ingredients. Led by Chef Isaac McHale, who draws inspiration from his training at renowned establishments like Noma and Eleven Madison Park, the restaurant presents a sophisticated yet relaxed dining experience. The menu cleverly nods to the diversity of British culinary history, with unconventional tasting menus and a la carte selections featuring premium ingredients prepared with inventive techniques.
The Clove Club, situated in the historic Shoreditch Town Hall in London, has firmly established itself as a beacon of modern British cuisine. Since its inception, it has garnered significant acclaim, including a Michelin star in its first year and a second star thereafter, reflecting its commitment to excellence. **Ambience and Setting** Housed within the Grade II-listed Shoreditch Town Hall, The Clove Club exudes a minimalist yet welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is characterized by high ceilings and large windows, creating an airy environment that complements its open kitchen design. This layout allows diners to observe the meticulous preparation of their meals, fostering a sense of connection between the kitchen and the dining experience. The absence of traditional tablecloths and the presence of azure-tiled kitchen accents contribute to a relaxed yet refined setting. **Culinary Experience** Under the guidance of chef Isaac McHale, The Clove Club offers tasting menus that highlight seasonal British ingredients with innovative flair. Dishes such as buttermilk fried chicken, marinated in buttermilk for 24 hours and fried using tapioca and polenta flours, have been lauded for their exceptional flavor and texture . Another standout is the smoked wild Irish char paired with sour cream and rye, noted for its delicate balance and subtle smokiness . The restaurant's commitment to showcasing British produce is evident in its menu selections. For instance, dishes featuring white asparagus, monkfish, chicken, and Aylesbury duck are prepared with precision, though some critics have expressed a desire for more luxurious ingredients at this price point . **Service and Hospitality** The service at The Clove Club is often described as attentive and knowledgeable. Staff members, including sommeliers, are praised for their expertise and friendly demeanor. However, there have been instances where service missteps occurred, such as a venison sausage rolling off the grill and into a diner's lap, with the staff appearing flustered in their response . Overall, the service is generally well-received, contributing positively to the dining experience. **Beverage Pairings** The Clove Club offers wine pairings that are both unusual and interesting, enhancing the overall dining experience . Additionally, the restaurant provides tea pairings, though some diners have noted that the teas presented had a similar, weak profile, lacking the robustness expected from their descriptions . **Value and Pricing** Dining at The Clove Club is a premium experience, with tasting menus priced accordingly. Some patrons have expressed concerns regarding the value, particularly in relation to the luxury of ingredients used . Nevertheless, many diners find the innovative cuisine and overall experience to be worth the investment. **Conclusion** The Clove Club stands as a testament to modern British gastronomy, offering a dining experience that combines innovative cuisine with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. While certain aspects, such as ingredient selection and beverage pairings, have received mixed feedback, the restaurant's commitment to showcasing seasonal British produce and delivering attentive service continues to attract both local and international patrons.

Had the best birthday dinner here. I have been to many fine dining places before as a former New Yorker and The Clove Club topped a lot of the previous experiences I had. All dish were experimental and creative but very well balanced in every aspect. There are some dishes with flavors and textures I've never tasted. Overall exquisite! The service and hospitality was also exceptional. I would definitely recommend The Clove Club to my friends and would love to come back!!! Thank you for completing my perfect birthday celebration.

Outstanding experience. I had lunch here in mid-December and the food and service is incredible. The dining room is beautiful and is arranged so each table has a view of the kitchen. Nearly everything on the tasting menu is exceptional. The dishes have a good level of restraint applied to them so you end up with clean flavours and a clear display of the chefs' skill. With one exception, each course had a very strongly flavoured element - such as the pungent ginger in the sardine sashimi or the almond beurre noisette in the trout dish - which bought everything together in a well-balanced way. The best dish was the Orkney scallop with black truffle - great to see Scottish produce so prominent in a London restaurant. There were some hiccups, namely the dry-aged pork dish not being quite as good as the rest of the menu and the ice cream in the potato mouse being on the melted side - to be fair, the flavours were outstanding, and, as far as sweet and savoury desserts go, this was probably the best I've had. I didn't opt for the pairing but instead had a glass of champagne and Clos Lunelles from Bordeaux, which were both excellent recommendations from the sommelier. I don't think I can remember service at a restaurant being as good as it is here. If, like me, you haven't experienced something like it before, it's great fun to watch, and even better to experience in-person. The staff, whilst quite formal and professional, are very hospitable and accommodating, and do such an outstanding job in such an effortless way. The initial welcome is amazing if you've never experienced something like it before; going out of their way to greet you and make you feel comfortable, pulling your chair out, giving you a hot towel - I'm sure this is fairly standard for a lot of restaurants of this calibre but it was so special for me. The young members of the team are charming and very skilled for being at an early stage of their careers. Syah (I hope I spelled that right!) went the extra mile to make it a special experience. She is a star and was able to build rapport in such a natural way - I hope she goes far in hospitality because she's certainly got the talent for it! I would thoroughly recommend the Clove Club and if I had the money for it I would go there regularly.

Be respect to the most kindness, warm and focus on detailed services from Mr Pablo, Daniel and the team. And for sure, the atmosphere, the taste of the each section, as I also I want to highlight the best dishes “Raw Orkney Scallop”, excellent excellent excellent. Definitely will recommended to our friends if drop by London. And we must come back later.

I had a blast at The Clove Club. The food was fantastic across the board- with some of the highlights being the scallop sashimi, the lamb, the langoustine and the granita. Portions are perfectly sized and the flavors balanced so that you never feel too full and bloated. Excellent selection of wines and a sommelier who's clearly passionate about his trade. In fact, every member of the staff was courteous and attentive while leaving enough space for the guests to feel relaxed. Truly, a pillar of the London fine dining scene.

Had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel so welcome. The tasting menu was absolutely incredible—every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell they put a lot of care into the ingredients and execution. The service was spot on too—attentive without being overbearing. It’s one of those places that makes a meal feel like a special occasion. Definitely looking forward to going back!

We went for a birthday dinner, and we couldn't have been happier. From the moment we walked into the dining room, the staff were warm and welcoming. The menu flowed at a great pace, and the dishes were executed perfectly, flavours were outstanding of every dish along with their descriptions. We must thank Em our Sommelier on the night and Paolo for their amazing hospitality throughout the night. We were super happy with the wine choice! It was truly memorable.

Italian restaurant
Padella Borough Market is a modern bistro known for its short list of housemade pasta dishes and Italianate drinks. It opened in 2016 as the sister restaurant of Trullo, quickly becoming a favorite among pasta lovers and London's Italian community. The restaurant offers innovative dishes like fettuccine with mascarpone and spicy Calabrian sausage nduja, as well as comforting classics like gnocchi in nutmeg butter.
My friends have been telling me to come here for so long, and I'm glad I finally did. It's very reasonably priced, and the food is delicious - I had the chocolate ice cream for dessert which was especially wonderful. I was served by Luke who was cheerful and friendly, and the bill came out to less than I'd expected! Can see why it comes so highly recommended

Quite literally the best pasta I have ever tasted in London. The prices are amazing and the quality/flavor of the pastas are incredible! Be sure to make multiple pasta rounds, as the portions are designed to be on the smaller side. They do not accept reservations, you must go in person to join the virtual queue. It takes on average about an hour to be seated if you go during prime dining time.

Lovely place! Went to have lunch and everything was great. The pastas were amazing and the energy of the people downstairs made it even better. I HAD to go back the very next day to try other pastas. There could be a line, but if you go right after the place opens, it won't be a problem.

We enjoyed our meal at Padella, our pasta was delicious, the crab was yummy and subtly flavoured, my husband loved his nudja if was very moorish. The puddings were very good, although there was no mention of creme fraiche on the menu, the waiter offered to remove it but if I’d known I’d would asked for ice cream instead. The only disappoints were the carpaccio - it was a very small portion, I know beef is expensive but it was over priced. Also sitting at the bar was interesting but it wasn’t comfortable, we didn’t feel we could order a bottle of wine, relax and enjoy our food. We ate our food quickly and left, which is such a shame - I hope we get a better table next time.

Well worth a visit. We arrived at opening time on a Friday lunchtime and used the app to join a queue. We’re seated almost immediately. Staff attentive and explained the menu and suggested some recommendations. Pasta was delicious and save space for the tiramisu.

Fresh pasta heaven Padella in Borough is worth every minute of the wait. Simple menu, bold flavors — the pici cacio e pepe is an absolute knockout. Fresh, hand-rolled pasta, buzzing atmosphere, and prices that don’t punch your wallet. This place gets Italian food. Go early, get in line, and thank me later.

Amazing restaurant! Fabulous service, delicious pasta and even better tiramisu. The virtual queue was also a great ideal- we joined as a table of 5 on a Thursday night knowing it would be a wait, had a drink around the corner and after around an hour the table was ready. The staff were very accommodating, ensuring water, cutlery and clean plates were available. They were also very open to sharing dishes, it was all very easy. We order a variety of pastas and all were amazing. It was also great to see the chefs in action in the open kitchen. The food was very reasonably priced for a spot in borough market, but the wine was a bit on the pricey side (particularly considering the price is for a 500ml carafe, not even the full bottle!). Despite this, we will be back for sure.

It's the second time visiting Padella and it did not disappoint. The pasta is fresh and full of flavour and I could see the staff knows their pastas as they are able to recommend and advise properly. We were lucky and did not have to queue to sit and the service was fast too. We tried the beef ragu, the crab and the fettuccine nduja and they were all nice. Will definitely recommend and for sure will be back to try different ones.
