Amazing architecture, I attended the Eucharist Service (Wednesday) which was lovely. We had to leave after so was unable to see all of the cathedral. There is a lovely cafe on the grounds, and a shop with a good selection of gifts, books, jewellery and more. 🕊️✝️
A unique breathtaking cathedral with three peaks. The walls and stained glass tell different historical stories of kings, bishops and the people who ruled these lands over the years.
If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend that you take more time to immerse yourself in the history that this beautiful cathedral will tell you.
Absolutely beautiful! The cathedral is not very big but worth visiting. We didn't have a chance to explore in detail as we got appointment on that day.
The shop is inside the cathedral but toilet and cafè are outside. Would definitely visit again next time to explore more.

An amazing cathedral and I'm not a church goer but the building of this was done by crafts people. The table on loan there is from an oak in the dinasor eara amazing. From one tree.
A really beautiful building with many statues and decorations on the outside and some spectacular marble sculptures inside. Only a donation for entry. Could have walked around for hours.

Drayton Manor Resort is a must-visit destination for adventure seekers and animal lovers alike. The resort features a large adventure playground with 12 rides based on Thomas the Tank Engine, as well as indoor play areas and parklands. Additionally, visitors can explore Drayton Manor Zoo, which is home to over 100 species of animals, including endangered species protected under various conservation programs.
We brought our entrance tickets via Wowcher, excellent deal. Parking was great, we confirmed the vehicle registration in advance. We managed to get parking close by the entrance. Thomas Land and the Zoo were included within the tickets purchased. Lots of rides for toddlers which was great. No shelter at any rides from the rain, I would recommend taking a small umbrella and a poncho, just in case!
The rides were great, not much of a queue which was fab as it was raining most of the day.

We went during a Blue Light members event so take that into consideration when reading.
We had a really good time, Thomas land was great on our 4 year old enjoyed the various rides in Thomas land. The train up to the zoo area was his favorite.
The zoo area was a nice walk round, several enclosures were being updated so not as many animals out and about. The dinosaur area was a fun addition, nice and compact to walk round and watch the boy be excited at all the dinosaurs. The play area at the dinosaur section was unfortunately closed for upgrades.
The food we had was okay for the price, there was only a small wait so all good. We really took advantage of the unlimited hot drinks offer which was definitely worth doing.
What a fantastic park! "Thems park" clearly serves as a wonderful hub for the community. It's always lovely to see people of all ages enjoying the space, whether they're having picnics, walking their dogs, or simply enjoying the fresh air. The layout of the park is excellent, with [mention a specific positive aspect of the layout, e.g., a good balance of open spaces and shaded areas, well-defined pathways]. It feels both spacious and inviting. The level of upkeep is also impressive, making it a clean and pleasant environment for everyone. You can tell that "thems park" is a place that people truly value and appreciate. It's the kind of park that.
A great place for the kids with lots of fun things to do. Did look a bit tired in places and broke down (especially the submarine experience in Thomas Land, not suitable for adults or older children as kept grounding out).

Great place for a day out or to stay over in their hotel, Lots of rides mostly aimed at young family's, the new ride gold rush was very smooth and had lots of ups, downs and even a backwards bit. The ride cycle changes at 2, so it's worth riding it before and after! Overall, I would highly recommend it to all families!
Good fun, lots to do, problem with the way they deal with disabled clients it's sourced to an external company, the form that you have to fill out online crashes each time you try to fill it out. I filled it out 12 times before it finally registered then they eventually refused my application for my registered disabled son because it was in french....where french what do they want me to do his doctors notes are in french. Fortunately the fabulous staff in the special services helped me straight away and thankfully they did because it definitely made our day easier and far less meltdowns where had. It's a shame that everything is so expensive once you get in the park. Taking a picnic is sadly recommended unless you want to remortgage your house. Also tip for anyone that likes the log flume bring a change of clothes 🤣🤣🤣
A wonderful place. I really had interesting time there with my son. Strongly recommended. I bought a golden fast track but I didn’t need to use it so I advise that to not buy a golden pass initially online when you buy the ticket. If you need it you can buy it in the park from the customers service building it’s just next to the Viking area.

National Trust - Calke Abbey

Nestled near Derby, Calke Abbey is a captivating National Trust property that offers visitors an intriguing look into the past. Originally constructed in 1703, this grand estate was home to eccentric baronets and showcases a unique blend of restoration and decay. As you wander through its rooms filled with antique furniture, dusty tomes, and mounted animal heads, you'll feel as if you've stepped back in time.
Enjoyed a brief visit here for a couple of hours whilst in the area. Staff at the restaurant were lovely, despite being very busy as the weather was beautiful, they were pleasant, helpful and patient with all visitors.
The grounds themselves were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk round. We managed to get to the 'Grotto' and 'ice house'. Saw dear and enjoyed the river of snow drops and the walled garden.
Lots of families around enjoying the space, different abilities too.
We are looking forward to visiting again to explore further and spend longer there.

Possibly the most enthusiastic volunteers of any National Trust! Amazing property, friendly volunteers in each and every room are more than happy to share the history with you. The collections are quite unique and vast! Quite a few stairs and the last set are quite narrow. We only had time for the house and lunch but there's more to see so you could easily spend a day here. Well worth a visit. Put it on your list!
Beautiful place. The house is being ‘preserved’ rather than renovated so it is presented how the Trust took it on in all its dilapidated glory. Very interesting place to walk around although sad at the level of decay despite it now being made safe. Beautiful grounds to walk around including the orangery and the walled gardens. Deer in the grounds were great to see, including one laying in the spring sunshine. Do go along it is worth the trip and for a NT property the entrance fee is very reasonable too.
Beautiful place to visit! The gardens are lovely, so much variety. There's lots of paths to walk too. We had a pushchair so couldn't go into the woodlands area, but it looked beautiful, so many people venturing that way.
Really child friendly with a little mouse trail, great baby change facilities and the offer of a carrier and a variety of toys in the house which was a really lovely touch!

Interesting place to visit, staff helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable. The house is big and quirky, full of clutter and some very interesting things. It's quite a sad house. The grounds are full of interesting walks great for families and dogs. Playground , shop and cafes and restaurant. It's worth a visit, and I will go back to visit the church. Me and my wife travelled up from Ironbridge Shropshire one sunny Sunday .We have been to many NT places over the years, but this one was one of the largest we have been to besides .The day we went a sunny day in early spring.This is a very popular place this. is quite busy ,there were hundreds of people. So beware this place can get busy .Calke Abbey offers a large car park and parking on the paddock for busy days .Two tea rooms,toilets, and a shuttle service to the walled garden, which was impressive but not utilised to the degree orher NT places do .The house was absolutely massive, very atmospheric .The NT have preserved this historic building but not necessarily improved or restored but rather leaving it to view as it potentially was. A very interesting history to this place A must,see for all NT places. We didn't explore the parkland much ,so we will be back .long cues at the cafe on busy days, lots to explore at Calke We will return one day soon.
We went around 09:30 Sunday morning and parking was really easy, plenty of space. Calke Abbey is so clean and tidy and a pleasure to walk around.
We visited the Church, the Grotto, Ice house and gardens during our walk.
We enjoyed a cream tea in the cafe which was really nice. Fairy priced too.
We spent a couple of hours here and on the way out it was quite busy. They were opening the overflow car park.

Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre is a 15th-century battle site museum that offers an immersive experience for visitors. A beautifully scenic walk with rich history. So quiet and peaceful. The train station is a nice place to soak in some history. Very interesting glassblower and shop there too selling glass ornaments and gifts.

The Restaurant and Visitor Centre Staff were all absolutely lovely and obviously enjoy their job enormously. My Wife, Granddaughter and I enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Restaurant before touring the very informative and entertaining visitor centre. Our Granddaughter enjoyed trying on the various armour and costumes, as well as the other interactive displays. We then noticed that there was a provision for a all terrain mobility Scooter which normally has to booked in advance but nothing was too much trouble for the staff and it provided a wonderful tour of the Battlefield that my Wife wasn’t expecting to manage.

What a wonderful place to visit!! Great exhibit with interactive parts for not just children but adults as well. Even a great dress up area- become a soldier!! So much information about the War of the Roses. The volunteer was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions!! We will definitely return. They also have an evening tour and wreath making and talks during the week. Makes me wish we lived closer! Highly recommend.
If you’re looking for something different and enjoy the beautiful countryside, crossing steam railway line, some forestry, canal and a pit stop before walking all the way around the towards the start, then I highly recommend starting your journey from this centre. I’ve yet to see the history inside but I will be visiting again at a later date and start a new journey towards a much longer path. On average the walk takes about an hour and half. If it has been raining, there is one or two path that becomes muddy. Recommend appropriate foot wear during these days.
Very well presented exhibition explaining the battle in context, catering well for all levels from children to experts. Lots of replica artifacts and other items, and a few originals. Pleased to see that there is full acceptance of latest research placing the battle site some distance away. Shame about coin-only pay and display parking machines meaning you have to decide in advance how long to stay - I had to leave before I really wanted to.

The Visitor Centre is excellent, with information boards, videos, and recreated artifacts of the time including armour, weapons and clothing. Suitable for all ages, including young children.
There's a decent sized car park and cafe serving hot snacks as well as tea coffee and cakes.
There's a discounted joint ticket covering this battlefield site and the Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester.
The walk around the battlefield is about a mile long with just one muddy patch, so good footwear would be a good idea. Though, if you're just walking to the sundail memorial, the path is gravelled and weather proof.
The car park and Visitor Centre are separately charged so people don't have to pay for the Visitor Centre if just going to the battlefield.
Visiting the centre, lunch and the long walk round the battlefield took us 4 hrs.

Local to us and really informative. Great location and children can use their Blue Peter badges to get in for free so that's a bonus! Beautiful setting, good food in the tithe barn and a fabulous old school gift shop (with everything from a pencil with a rubber on the top to a sword or bow and arrow) Great for History lovers, Royalists and all ages. Very accessible and the information boards around the battlefield walk are great for adults and kids alike!
I would recommend for people to visit Bosworth Battlefield historical site, beautiful history, modern amenities, restaurant, shops and awesome trails to walk through.

The place is beautifully preserved, and walking through the house and gardens made us feel connected to history. The staff were knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about Shakespeare’s life. A must-visit for literature lovers and history enthusiasts! Highly recommended.

Shakespeare’s House is an amazing place to visit! I’ve been there three times, and each visit has been a wonderful experience. This place is amazing! You learn so much about the history of the town and its most famous person. The people working there really try to tell you all they know and tell you their knowledge about that time.
We were lucky as there were two actors performing two scenes from two different plays from Shakespeare alternating. It was really hard to understand since english is not my native language. But quite interesting and worth a visit when you're in stratford!
It was a nice day trip. I walked around the area, and it was nice. There are plenty of shops, cafes, supermarkets and restaurants. Can buy your souvenirs as well. River Avon and Canal nearby plus a garden.
The museum and house are interesting, but part of it does focus more on general life during his time vs. being items directly from Shakespeare.
The museum is small but has information about the time period and some of his life and works, such as a brief timeline, family tree, example writing desk.
The house is quite busy. We were let into the first room in groups of 20-30, then after you go through an example parlour, kitchen, glovemaking area (his dad's profession), and upstairs to see bedrooms and the inn/pub addition. It's not a huge home, but there are a few signs in each room along with helpful volunteers.
We spent about 45 minutes here, with 10-15 minutes in the museum, 20 minutes in the house, and the rest in queue to get tickets and the into the house. The queue is likely to be significantly longer during busy times.
Tickets: The combined ticket allows entry with other nearby Shakespeare sites too. Given the possible queue here, prebooking is likely best to have a faster entry. Bag checks will still be needed, but we spent 10 minutes waiting to buy tickets behind just four other groups so imagine summer would be significant delay.
Facilities: Toilets available in courtyard. Large gift shop at the end.
Visiting Shakespeare’s House was honestly like stepping back in time. The house itself is really well preserved—timber-framed and full of that old-world charm. There’s parking for coaches and paid car park. Recommendation to buy tickets in advance!!

The staff there are incredibly passionate, sharing stories and details that you might not find in a textbook, which made the experience even more engaging. I felt a real connection to Shakespeare, not just as the playwright we all know but as the young boy who grew up in this modest house.
Connect with the Bard and get immersed in his history and life. Well maintained. Worth the visit. They have short plays - watched a snippet of Merchant of Venice and eversogreen Romeo and Juliet - (played by talented Christopher and Bethany).

Beautiful riverside in the sunshine. Brunvh menu , no greenn red or fungi to bother with. Beautifully cooked poached eggs wgich could have done with being reheated. Excellent hash brown. Gluten free a difficulty as limited meny and staff didnt know and the one we had resented having to find out. Cumberland sausage was advised as gf and tasred good. Fingers crossed it was. This is a beautiful setting but nowhere as good as the restaurant on the 3rd floir. Lets the brand down. The manager said she would adress issues, i hope she does.
Came here for pre-theatre dinner on a Friday evening. At £35 for a three course meal, this was excellent value for money. The menu had lots of options and the we both agreed that the food and service were excellent.
The restaurant decor was cleverly done, with great views across the park and river. This place most definitely exceeded our expectations.

Had lunch here for Mothering Sunday - first time visit. Really impressed with the service, the food, the view, the acoustics of the place, the seating and comfy chairs, the drinks menu and the climate in the dining area. Everything is geared towards a great experience. 10% tip is charged and I have no problems with that. Will be back.

Location at the top of the theatre has great views. The lunch time set menu was excellent value with a great range of options including dairy and gluten free. Starters included salmon bruschetta with a gluten free alternative and spicy pakoras. Main course of cod was beautifully cooked and vegetables and potatoes delicious. Returned for a pre-performance meal. Excellent helpful and friendly service as usual despite it being very busy.

Well worth a visit, especially off peak during the week. You have time to take it all in and properly spend time appreciating the exhibits.
The land speed simulator is totally worth it, it's only £3 each per adult! I wasn't able to get a photo unfortunately, but it's a proper state of the art ride system. I've seen much worse in big theme parks, absolutely give it a go.
The thing I most appreciated was that yes, most cars have been polished up for presentation, but look inside and most interiors are in as-found condition. Some cars are still in as-found too! Preserved, but not restored. It's haunting but connects you to history more than a polished up exhibit.
It seems that some exhibits are still in operational condition too.
Staff are friendly, but not intrusive at all, and are available to answer questions.
I like how you're routed, first of all through the ages of motor transport, they should absolutely keep that one way route, hopefully next time I visit the interactive exhibits will be working.
You can also try on some items of clothing, however I do wish there were some interactive exhibits geared towards adult visitors.
Overall, a top notch visit and the museum really does give Beaulieu a run for it's money.

Pushbike's of all ages, cars and motorbikes that will take you down memory lane including some commercial vehicles.
All arranged in a very easy to navigate around, including some areas that you can stop and have a picnic before completing the tour and end up at the shop and cafe.

£15 advance ticket for this maffis museum that I didn't even see all in 1.5 hours is a good price. When you start, go left, they have a big exhibit of cars and few bikes. Cars are in two sections. Then the actual museum starts off with few bikes , but definitely interesting. You can see various designs, and a couple of cars. I didn't see it all due to time restraints, but surely planning to come back as the ticket is an annual pass.

Excellent place to visit if you are in Coventry, right in the city centre, the history of transport is very well explained and carried out. It can take you from 2 to 3 hours to go around, depending on your passion for cars and their evolution.
It is a bit expensive but I think the quality of the exhibition makes it worth it.

Such a beautiful place and a fantastic day out. Something for everyone. The Dungeons were amazing. So funny! But the best thing by far was the birds of prey show (twice daily, do not miss this). Wonderful to see the amazing birds fly so close to you and a great story to go with it. Loved every second. Nice food places dotted around the Castle with plenty of variety (even if you're gluten free like me). Fantastic views from up in the turrets too. Can't recommend this place enough. I hope I'll be back one day.

Great place to visit!
You can explore much of the interior at your own leisure. You don't have to book a guided tour if you don't want to. There are plenty of detailed descriptions regarding the life of the people who lived here throughout history and many of the things they used or wore.
We went up on the ramparts, as well as inside the towers. We even climbed the many steps to get to the top of the tallest tower. The view from up there was wonderful. After making our way back down, we went inside a dungeon, although there wasn't much to see there.
The highlight, for us, was one of the seasonal shows they offer, called "The Falconer's Quest." They show off and give details about some absolutely stunning birds of prey. They also trained them to fly low, right above the spectators' heads, which was really cool - it's a great chance to see these birds up close. If you're visiting any time between April and November, definitely take the time to be a part of this show. You won't regret it!
Fantastic day out, great weather, and we took a picnic as well. Walking through the ramparts and battlements along with the tower did take it out on the legs as over 500+ confined steps to deal with, but it was worth it in the end. Dungeon tour was good and scary in parts for some, well don't all the staff for making it an enjoyable day out.
Great day out. Loved walking through the rooms seeing how the castle has evolved. The grounds are extensive with lots of places for pic nics or to purchase food. Some of the outside catering wasn't open as we went off peak. There is a cafe with food in the undercroft and a larger one in the conservatory at the peacock garden.
Parking is well organised and is in a large field, no shade at all, so although dogs are allowed in the grounds, they couldn't be left in the car. From the car park there is a shuttle bus to take you to the castle, FREE, and bring you back.
An expensive visit for x2, 5 hours - £105.00 but had a thoroughly enjoyable day with lots to see & do, with beautiful grounds to wander around. Only downside was battling the many school trips there .
We had a wonderful stay at the castle hotel, with a perfect mix of relaxation and fun for the family. The hotel offered engaging activities for kids in the evening, and the spacious, comfortable rooms made the stay even more enjoyable. While the food at Knights Tavern/Table was a bit pricey, it was convenient. The kids loved the castle visit and had a memorable time. Overall, it was a fantastic family getaway, and a pleasant surprise for our young ones.
An amazing place for a family day out! The castle is packed with history but also has tons of fun activities and live shows to enjoy. You can climb up the towers for some really cool views and get a real sense of the castle’s history.
There are food and drink stands around, making it easy to grab a bite while exploring. I got to see the Falconer’s Quest show, which was absolutely incredible, and there was even jousting—it really brings the place to life! A perfect mix of education, entertainment, and adventure.
In addition there is also a shuttle service to get from the castle back to parking but you can also walk back there is also hotel accommodation on site.

Only down side is the little hidden costs dotted around and you only find out that there is a extra cost when you go to do some of the things like the dungeon visit. An the last sting is the car parking charge at the end of the day.

Wonderful place to visit at any age. Lots of fun for youngsters to be had on the big bouncy things outside, on the playground equipment, in the sandpit, on the little tractors, holding chicks, stroking bunnies...Plenty of outdoor benches and indoor spaces to eat and drink - bring your own food and drink or buy there. A few uneven walking surfaces as expected, but all areas very well kept and laid out. Toilets clean and easily accessed from anywhere on the park. Bags of animal feed are £2 each from the ticket office - well worth it. And the stars of the show...the animals! Well presented information all around the park. £1 for a tractor ride (on a trailer) with recorded commentary by Adam - personal and informative. Great gift shop. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. Highly recommend.
Such a lovely farm, it’s really nice to see animals having lots of space and not just all just cramped in together. Animal handling was a bonus and seeing all the baby lambs and piglets was just a bonus. I was absolutely obsessed with the highland cows & bull. We will definitely be visiting again in the warmer months. Food was really good too.
We came here for a morning outing with our toddler while staying in the area. We had a great time! We got a quick bite from the cafe on site which was good as well. Highly recommend buy a couple bags of feed as the animals love their treats and we went through our 3! We enjoyed seeing all of the animals, interacting with the staff, and letting our little guy lead the day.
Definitely worth the visit! But do save a little and pay online before you go.

My husband could hire a mobility scooter for a refundable deposit so it actually only cost £10 for the whole afternoon and the staff were well informed and made the whole process very user friendly.
Cotswold Farm Park is a brilliant day out with the kids. The play areas are packed with fun—bouncy pillows, ride-on tractors, and a massive indoor sandpit kept my little ones entertained for hours. The farm is impressively clean and well-maintained, especially considering it’s a working farm. The animals are clearly well cared for, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a place we’ll definitely return to.
What a lovely place to visit! Everything is set up really well, it's clear that someone has put a lot of thought into this place. Lots of nice areas for children of all ages to play. We had to visit the petting barn a few times in the same day as my daughter couldn't get enough of the little chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs. I like that there are lots of stations so people can wash their hands, including the paper towels to dry the hands.
The live talks in the lambing barn were very informative too. I was very pleased about the price, for a family of three we paid a little over £30 which I think is very reasonable. All in all a great place to visit with lots of animals to see. I'm sure we haven't seen all of it and can't wait to go again!
We have been a couple of times now. It's not the cheapest but it's extremely well run, the staff are well trained and the kids love all the animals and play areas. The food is a level above the usual soggy pizza you get at these places. Worth a visit.

Susie’s warm, welcoming manner effortlessly put everyone at ease, making the experience feel both personal and inclusive.
A pleasant surprise was the complimentary charging station for my electric car—a thoughtful touch that enhanced the visit. I’d gently encourage the distillery to consider adding more charging points, as this small gesture could elevate the experience for future guests.
From start to finish, the tour was a joy, and I find myself already looking forward to returning in the summer to soak in more of the Cotswolds charm—and, of course, Susie’s sparkling hospitality. Highly recommended!

Fantastic tour and tasting - the guide was very knowledgable and friendly and the gin and whiskey tastings were out of this world! This is well worth the trip out to the countryside and wished we had longer there to enjoy the gift shop and cafe. Beautiful buildings and you can tell they do everything with pride. Love that we were able to try special edition gins, the Cotswolds Wildflower Gin #1 is PHENOMINAL!!

Dealt with my booking and countless emails brilliantly so it was a treat that she also was our tour guide 😁 Incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process but with enough humour that I didn't feel "talked at". The last half hour was dedicated to the tasting session of the tour and was well worth the ticket price! I loved the consideration towards the drivers who were given their tasting bottles in a dinky little bag to enjoy when they got home.
The is also a cafe on site that wasn't expensive and the food was lovely - perfect for a spot of lunch before the tour.

Had a lovely adult family day out here, with Mel as our guide around for the tour. She was really knowledgeable and had a good mix of humour and knowledge with all the guests. Her explanations were clear and enjoyable. It was really interesting to see all the different parts of the distillery and learn more about the process from the start to the end. The tasting was great, with options to choose from too and even mixers if you felt you needed them to enjoy the tasting. Their provision for people driving is excellent, and one of the best I've ever seen from any brewery or distillery that makes it accessible and fair to those driving. On top of this, the shop and cafe are very nice areas to be in, as is the seating area outside on a glorious day.

Full of the most amazing and healthy looking animals of all kinds! As much as usually zoos have bad practices keeping animals, here, on the contrary, each location is mimicking the real-life environment with a lot of space provided for animals not to feel enclosed too much.
There are awesome locations for picnics as well. Plenty of beautiful flowers. Super engaging and huge children playground. Fairly cheap food onsite.
We did not even had enough time to see everything this place can offer - truly one of the best places to visit during a vacation with your family!
An excellent attraction that's well worth a visit. There's plenty of parking and entering/exiting is nice and easy. It's a very short walk from the car park to the main park itself, and there are maps dotted around here and there so you can roam in whatever direction you wish and never get lost. The miniature train is also a fun way to get around and worth a go.
There are several food kiosks so you're never very far from a hot drink/snack, and there are multiple toilet blocks too.
There's so much to see and do that you could easily spend the best part of a day here and still not see everything! It's dog-friendly which is nice to see, although dogs aren't allowed in some of the indoor exhibitions where the animals roam freely. The staff we encountered were friendly and clearly enjoyed their work! Highly recommended.

I had heard good things about this place where you can take dogs. It was absolutely beautiful. There is so much to see. The grounds are well kept. It's definitely great value for money. We took a picnic. There are lots of different places to sit & eat. The train is also dog friendly, which is brilliant. The wait time is 10 minutes max. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly & helpful. Even though there were lots of people there, it didn't feel busy because of how spread out everything is. Not everywhere is dog friendly like the tropical house, reptile house, the fruit bats, lemurs & a few other places, but that's because there are animals roaming free. So it's completely understandable. We loved it & will definitely be going back.
This is definitely the best zoo i've ever visited so far, everything is just really good, organisation and lots of different types of animals, from chameleons, lizards and birds to lions, rhinosours and penguins. Each animal have got their own environment which is really clean and beautiful. I've spent the whole day in the and i loved it. We arrived quite early and got a parking space close to the entrance. Parking is free (included in the price). Visiting on a Bank Holiday, we expected it to get busy. They open at 10 am, but some areas (lemur walkthrough) don't open until later. The first thing that we noticed was how beautiful the gardens are, very well looked after. There are several places to sit and eat and lots of kiosks selling drinks and ice creams. The queues for food got very busy as the day went on. All animals had lots of space and looked well looked after. Unlike other animal parks we have visited, you get good clear views of the animals, can't believe how close the rhinos were! There were lots of animals we hadn't seen before. The little train that runs around the park is a nice way to see the animals. It costs £2 (adults). There is a big children's play area. Although the park got very busy towards lunchtime, it didn't feel crowded (except queues for food).
There is a house which has a small museum containing bones and poo samples from many animals.
The lemur walk through was great, the lemurs were quite inquisitive and got very close to us.
A very enjoyable day out, probably one of the best wildlife parks we have been to mainly due to the layout, number of animals and well kept gardens.
Highly recommend visiting.

Blenheim Palace is a grand 17th-century stately home located in Oxfordshire, UK. The palace is set amidst beautifully designed gardens by Capability Brown and boasts over 2000 acres of parkland to explore. One of the best stately homes in the land. Photos, as beautiful as they may be, cannot do Blenheim justice, because when you stand before and within it, it gives a real sense of satisfaction.
The palace, at the time of writing has scaffolding at the front, but the sides are as every bit beautiful. The interior is grand, classy and exquisite.
The Churchill exhibition is a must, so much information about the good man himself with lots of interactive components.
The gardens on a sunny day seem almost tropical, or at least Mediterranean like, with a beautiful backdrop of the lake.
The walled garden has many areas to explore and kids are destined to love the adventure playground, one of the best playgrounds I've seen. Much more to do, it really takes a full day as a minimum to get around.
It's a fair bit from the parking area to the palace unless you access the disabled parking area. But you pass the walled garden, mini train and adventure playground on your way up.
Best part is that the tickets are annual tickets, allowing you to access the estate again, ensuring you can do everything over a number of separate days.

Nice grounds but I should have done more research beforehand as to exactly where I could walk with a dog - I certainly didn't expect to go in the house or the courtyard but it's a shame we couldn't walk along the lower lake path as opposed to just the parklands which are a long way from the house/lake. State rooms are very well presented but not maybe as extensive as other venues currently due to the ongoing ceiling repairs.
Our second visit to Blenheim. Returning on the ticket from last year as you can return within the year. Plenty of parking, helpful staff. Walled Garden is lovely, leading to the formal gardens. The butterfly house is cute and lovely types of butterflies.
Plenty of places for drinks and toilets. Very interesting museum of Churchill. Lovely grounds.
Beau-ti-ful place. Visited here this time just for a walk around the grounds. Kids love the birds, ducks, geese and even spotted a swan resting in a small island within the lake. Weather was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Expensive tickets but it’s great they allow re-entry for a year! It’s an enjoyable day out in the gardens and maze. Fun for all the family if the weather is agreeable. State rooms are stunning and well-maintained. The train journey was fun as was the maze.
Felt overpriced and not quite family friendly. Though they say Annual pass, practically what percentage of people visiting will revisit within a year. I feel less likely for someone to travel more than two hours to visit this place again to utilise the annual pass.
Vast area with multiple car parks with no clear mentioning of which car park for which attraction. Was quite difficult with kids to walk from palace to gardens. There is a mini train service between these two place, but was surprised to see they charge one pound per person (including kids) for this service one way. The worst bit is all this, including this paid train service will close at 4:45pm. So if you are still in gardens or palace ground after 4:45 and wish to travel back to car park there is no option you will have to walk all the way back.
Palace has exhibitions and state rooms. I didn't find state rooms that interesting. Gardens were nice and view near lake was spectacular but still don't justify the ticket price. Wouldn't recommend except for gardens...but overpriced and not user friendly, especially travel between sites.
The palace is beautiful. Certainly a recommended trip. The inside of the palace and the attention to detail will leave you mesmerised. The gardens are pretty, but wish they had the same attention as the inside for the amount you pay. Still absolutely recommend! ♡ It's very peaceful.

We went for a comedy show that I surprised my partner on valentines day.
I loved the atmosphere, very friendly and supportive staff. The arena was absolutely full, people were laughing mostly... some people were a bit shocked by the amount of extreme language and black humour...
It was extremely difficult to find parking and to come our at the end, we waited more time to come out of the parking then the actual show time.
Great show this evening at the story of guitar heroes. Sound and lighting good and staff helpful and organised. If there's one criticism, the toilets and seating need a refurb.
Went recently for the gaming exhibition. Held in a little room, the staff were friendly, the games were good fun and you even got a beer and a slice of pizza which was a nice surprise

Great Theatre lots of parking nearby. Lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The theatre is great, lots of room great seats. The bar was quick, and the staff were friendly and efficient. It's well worth a visit lots of great shows.The tickets were OK not that pricey and we got in very quickly and seated in great seats.

Sally assistance hound and I attended the Royal & Derngate theatre to see 2:22 A Ghost Story for the Wednesday afternoon screening and what a wonderfully entertaining and fabulous experience it was too! Sally and I were extremely well looked after by the "ushers in orange ties" who are specifically there to help folk with special needs. It was a wonderful play. There were about 600 people present in a 1000 seat theatre. Worth the effort and cost in my opinion. Well performed. Well written plot and dialogue. I loved it! Note well that if you're affected by bright flashing lights and exceptionally loud noises this play may not be for you!

For £ 8,10 entry as a student, I visited the Ashmolean museum the Saturday before Easter Sunday. It closes a bit earlier (5pm) on that specific day but otherwise the experience was brilliant. I enjoyed the variety of art and different cultures displayed in the museum. There are good floor plans on every floor and each exhibit is numbered quite clearly. The only thing that I would have appreciated would have been a free map to carry around. There are some available in exchange for a 2£ donation though. I especially liked the Japanese exhibition and room 62. There are benches or seats in most exhibitions which allow for rests or people to sit and sketch. The museum staff were very friendly and open to questions. I especially liked the young man in room 62 and the member of staff with two nice bows in her hair. Thank you for the wonderful afternoon. I Would definitely recommend visiting this museum.
The Ashmolean Museum is an absolute treasure trove of history. The collection is incredibly. Each exhibit is beautifully presented, and there’s a real sense of connection to the stories behind the pieces.

The architecture and interior design of the museum itself deserve a prize — with every walk I was in awe of what I saw. And the entrance is free for everyone, anytime making it accessible for all. Really lovely museum and cafe. Lots of things to see - ancient historical artefacts from around the world, British pottery, paintings from around the world, and musical instruments and tapestries.
The museum is free and there was no queue on a Sunday. It has a very peaceful atmosphere- it wasn’t super crowded. Lots of outdoor and indoor places to sit and relax.
An absolutely fascinating museum that exceeded all expectations! The Ashmolean’s blend of ancient history and fine art is world-class. I was particularly mesmerized by the Ancient Egyptian gallery—the wall carvings and sarcophagus paintings were stunningly preserved and beautifully lit, giving a real sense of the grandeur and symbolism of ancient times.
The museum layout is intuitive, with helpful signage (like the one photographed) guiding you through themed sections from the Ancient World and Asian Crossroads to European art. I especially appreciated the Stradivarius violin exhibit—seeing “The Rode” from 1722 and an even older Amati violin from 1564 was a rare treat for any music lover.
The Ashmolean also does a great job balancing educational content with visual appeal. There's no entry fee, which makes it even more accessible, and the café is a great place to unwind afterward.
Whether you're into archaeology, fine instruments, or world art traditions, this museum has something that will leave you in awe.

No wonder Julian Fellowes had it in mind when creating Downton Abbey! 🎩✨ Even beyond its TV fame, Highclere has a rich history dating back to 1679, and let’s not forget its Egyptian connection—the 5th Earl of Carnarvon co-discovered Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922! 🏺🏡 Who knew a slice of Egypt was hiding in the English countryside?
📸 Unfortunately, no photos were allowed inside, but trust me, the interiors are as grand as they look on TV. Thankfully, the stunning exterior, sprawling gardens, and breathtaking views more than made up for it—and I snapped plenty of those!
We were also incredibly lucky with the glorious sunshine ☀️—the warmest day of the year so far! The cherry on top? Afternoon tea in the gardens 🍰🫖, feeling like proper aristocrats (or at least pretending we were for an hour!).
This visit was also particularly poignant as we remember the late, great Dame Maggie Smith, whose performance as the Dowager Countess defined Downton Abbey. No one could deliver a withering remark quite like her, and walking through the halls where she ruled the screen was truly special.
With the newest Downton Abbey movie arriving this September, this was the perfect taster! Highly recommend this experience—whether you’re a fan of history, film, or just love a good English country house, Highclere Castle is simply magical. ✨

The magic of Downton Abby can be felt everywhere. The castle is exactly like in the series and it is beautiful and most of the iconic rooms are available to explore. Great place. Also tea room has some great produce
First visit today, it won't be the last! I must say that the staff are an absolute delight. Super friendly and attentive. I by chance happened to speak with Lady Carnarvon (i had no idea until I entered the castle and saw her photos), what a wonderful lady, so friendly and down to earth. I imagine no-one will mention the staff at the carpark, but they set the tone for me, super friendly (even got them wearing my cap from Spain haha).That atmosphere set the tone for our day trip. I was thinking we'd travelled a fair distance (from Nottingham), but having spoken with other visitors from America, Belgium and Spain just goes to show how well appreciated this place really is.
Well done to all involved. A young lady serving coffee mentioned she had helped Lady Carnarvon move some books, she seemed over the moon with that, which shows how happy people are to work there. Well done to all involved.
Had a wonderful day here today l, nice clear day with sunshine and white fluffy clouds and could see across all the estate’s grounds. Inside is quite beautiful just like what you see on Downton Abbey! The actors used the real furniture etc not props! Very interesting lifestyle and also there is an Egyptian museum of real artifacts that was brought home by the grandfather of the family who estate it is. Book tickets in advance and arrive in the morning to avoid queues. Nice tea room and gift shop. Wheelchair friendly but not for upper floor. If you use walking frame you have to leave it downstairs so if you can’t manage without bear that in mind. Photography isn’t allowed inside.
It was fun to visit the place where Downton Abbey was filmed. It was reasonably priced to visit and the self guided tour was easy and interesting. Good gift shop. Note there are 2 sets of toilets, so ladies you don't have to queue at the ones by the gift shop. Cross the courtyard and you'll see the larger unit.
I love the peaceful atmosphere around it.
A bit of history lesson today. I must admit I never made the connection of their names with Tutankhamen beforehand. 🤦♀️
Interesting that the prices at their shops are much better than in other similar places, like 👑 palaces, where everything is a lot for normal citizen.
Even if I have my strong opinions about history and order in the world/responsibilities of ppl in the past or present or I'm not one for sir/lady hierarchy in general, I love old houses, the estates and the cleanliness that comes with it. And if it helps local ppl to have a job, I like to do my small bit.
And the weather was nice 👌, too.
Not allowed to take photos inside, but if you have watched Downton Abbey you can see how beautiful it is. enjoyable day out worth the visit

Waddesdon Manor is a Victorian mansion originally built for Baron de Rothschild and is now under the care of The National Trust. The estate, including its impressive art collections and 165 acres of garden and park, was left to the trust by James de Rothschild in the late 1950s. Today, it is overseen by Baron Jacob Rothschild through a charitable trust.
The house and grounds were overwhelmingly beautiful. I was lucky enough to have chosen a sunny day to visit with the family and was able to properly explore the premises. Just walking through the house took several hours because there are so many intricate artworks, furnishings and even the architecture of the house itself is incredible. The staff and volunteers were beyond kind and helpful with incredible amounts of detailed knowledge of the property, history and the artworks. For me and my family it was well worth the price of entry and the time spent exploring.

It was an exceptional experience. The place is vast and elegant. You could easily spend a whole day here. The organisers are wonderful and the tour is very well organised. If you've any queries, they're always happy to answer. The house tour is something out from this world, the luxury and the collection you can't fathom. If you plan to opt out of the house tour, the ground visit is still having plenty of things to do. The kids' play area is one of those to keep them occupied, rose garden, birds watching plenty of things in the ground. Must visit place in the UK
Fantastic stately home. Home to the Rothschild family. Many artefacts with very ornate rooms. Fantastic and immaculately kept gardens. Bus ride up the hill to the house from the car park is worth it if you don’t fancy the half hour walk.
Lovely grounds. Beautiful manor. Aviary was very cool to see the birds. Good playgrounds for the kids. Free EV charging!!! They don't accept National Trust vouchers. Buses if you don't want to walk from the parking lot. Loads of benches.

I used the slope during the time and had fun going up and down on the lift to. It got busy by mid afternoon as we were at peak time but never felt overcrowded and we will definitely come again.

Good experience for us as skilled skiers having a refresher before heading to alps or for our kids having beginner lessons. The slope is short but being real snow it’s realistic and much easier to learn on. Staff helpful and never felt that busy, even on a January weekend at peak time.

Great experience to get back into skiing. We booked in advance, but the lessons were still fully booked, so we just got a ski lift pass for a 3 hr session. Slopes were quiet, so no wait at the bottom. Facilities are good.If you can already ski, then 3 hours is probably the right amount of time.
It was a bit scary to look at but when you get used to it, it's great fun for any age group. Families with mum and dad and grand parents were all enjoying.
The staff was very helpful.
If you don't have a pound coin, you can also use euro for lockers.
If you have already bought tickets on line or in advance then don't stand in the queue as there is a screen just to check in, which we didn't know and wasted a lot of time in a queue.
Did a day's beginner course to prep myself for a future ski trip, Aime did the day with us. Absolutely brilliant teacher, feedback to everyone was very personalised based on what our short comings were but put forward in a very constructive way that helped everyone better themselfs and their technique. By the end of the day, every member of our group (I believe there were 8, maybe 9) was going down the steepest training slopes. If I could give her more stars I absolutely would, she's very experienced and it showed, most people in the group were total newbies and she made everything look easy.
As for the venue it self also 5/5, all rentals (helmet, skis and boots) were included in the price, as for trousers, jackets and gloves they were not, that being said for hygiene reasons I'm not surprised, this was also conveyed in an email beforehand so planned appropriately.
There are drinks and food on site, lunch was included in the price of the day course and you had several options to choose from.
As for the training area it was quite large and only populated by staff and other newbies so you didn't have people zooming past you and there was little concern that you'd hit someone accidentally.
All in all very worthwhile experience, I'll be returning here to get some more practice in the future prior to a skiing trip.
I have had a day course and Coaching Development lessons here. The staff are always friendly, facilities are clean. Keep in mind it is chemicals snow so feels a bit different.
Definitely recommend for beginners/people looking to learn or for people to brush up pn their skills before a trip ✌🏻
Incredibly good place for learning. Snow feels real and the ski teachers are excellent. We need to drive 3 hours to get here, but it is completely worth it. Some of the amazing ski teachers that I want to thank include Daniel, Dom, and Jules. There is also a shopping centre outside it for the parents. Receptionists are very nice and the facility is very good, including a lesson slope and a (taller) slope for general use. Would DEFINITELY reccomend.

The ticket you buy entitles you to come back as many times over the year. Great value for your money. Hopefully I can take advantage of this as I definitely want to come back.

An amazing place, packed with interesting places to explore and informative guides. An important part of our history not often explored. Recommend booking the hour long tour upon arriving which help you to gain your bearings and spot which places to go by yourself afterwards. These amazing people with unbelievable brains helped shape our future.
Absolutely amazing. So much to see and do, but it is vast! You need to decide on moving through things quickly, or returning to ensure you see it all. Your entrance gifts you 12 months re-entry. The gift shop is great too. Really pleased we visited. We took two older primary aged children, and they too were interested to a degree. There are lots of children activities and a children's workbook for purchase for a £1.

Always seems to be something new to see and learn about. Including the new A.I experience.
But it's the true history of Bletchley is why you go. Learning about the efforts conducted during WW2 is truly amazing.

It is very astounding to learn about the efforts made during World War II. You need at least two days to process everything, according to some of the on-site workers. Since my ticket is good for a year, I want to return shortly. which will be worthwhile. A significant yet little-studied aspect of our past. Encourage reservations in advance.
Fantastic place to see how history was made. The exhibitions are interesting and thoughtfully presented. You can feel the presence of the incredible staff who worked so hard on decoding vital wartime communications.
It is an amazing place with plenty to see and do. It is definitely worth booking on a tour for an hour with one of the excellent and informative guides. The story of Bletchley Park is spellbinding and the buildings of exhibits are numerous. You will need to return another day in order to take it all in, so much to read, so much to view, especially as the ticket can be used again for free entry within a year. I am definitely returning to finish looking at all the exhibits.

Large National Trust property with house and gardens open to the public. We only had a stroll to stretch our legs and bite to eat on our way to London so can't comment on the interior of the house (hence only four stars) though, from the outside, it looked very grand and imposing. The grounds are huge with various walks ranging from 20 minutes to a couple of hours through meadows and woodland. There is a café on site also a shop, plant sales and a used book shop. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. Parking and loos available.

Lovely day spent mooching around the house and gardens and further out to the Disraeli monument. The house is packed with history and the grounds are immaculate. Could improve the signage both in finding it and in getting around. Otherwise, a fascinating place.
My girlfriend and I recently visited Hughenden Manor and had a fantastic time. The former home of Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli is full of history, with fascinating exhibits about his life and the manor’s secret role in WWII map-making. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the surrounding woodland offers great walks with stunning views. The final drive to the car park is on a narrow road and was quite busy, with cars parked on the verge making it a bit tricky so take care. Other than that, it’s a brilliant place to visit and highly recommended!
Beautiful house and gardens with excellent trails throughout the year. All the staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable, often sharing information that really makes the experience special. I love going several times throughout the year as each season brings something new. Christmas is particularly special with lots of decorations both in and out of the house.

This is one of my favourite zoos in the UK! It's large, well maintained and it has friendly, helpful staff. The animals look happy and healthy, and enclosures are well kept. The food and drink isn't too badly priced for a zoo, and the gift shop is brilliant. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially animal lovers! Straight into my top 3 in the UK for sure.

Expansive zoo with a great selection of animals. Being able to park inside and move the car really helps, especially for blue badge holders. Some paths are not always particularly suitable for wheelchairs though so be careful. Some great views to be had also as the park is at a high elevation. Would definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful time at Whipsnade Zoo, even though the weather wasn’t great. The zoo is clean, well-organized, and the animals look happy and well cared for. There’s so much to see, and the setting is beautiful. It’s a great place to visit, especially when it’s not too crowded. We really enjoyed the experience!
This is a great zoo experience, totally amazing for children as well as adults. There are many animals to see and they seemed very well kept. There is also a large playground for kids. You can take your car and park at different sections inside the zoo as you explore or just park it outside and walk in. Our favourites were butterflies, lions and rhinos.
Decided to go to here on a spur of the moment decision. Ended up being a great decision despite the poor weather.
They also have two distinct ways to explore the zoo, completely by foot or by driving around.
If you purchase vehicle access (Free if you have a blue badge) there are parking bays across the park allowing you to explore and get around much easier and reduce some of the walking as the park is quite big. I would recommend this option if you have kids or go as a large family as it means you can keep food, jackets etc nearby without having to carry them all day. There is also free parking just outside the grounds for those wishing to drive to site but walk around instead.
Whipsnade Zoo has a large variety of animals broken up by regions such as Africa, Asia, Europe etc.
I was quite impressed with the layout as it made you feel like you were visiting each region separately as you explored rather than seeing a mix of animals randomly scattered about.
They also hold animal talks and shows throughout the day where you can go and find out more about the animals but if you miss it there are fun and interesting facts posted around the enclosures for you to read.
There are also plenty of staff around the various exhibits to provide you with further information or help you with any queries you may have.
You can find multiple concessions and toilet facilities throughout the park but I’d recommend grabbing a map as you enter to make sure you navigate around without any worries.
There is also a train operated in the park that goes around various enclosures so you can enjoy the views without straining your legs.
Overall for the price I believe it’s a great day out with family or friends but ensure you wear appropriate footwear. Even though the weather may be nice, you will be walking on some gravel paths between enclosures and large rocks underfoot can be a problem especially when you’ll be walking around all day.
Overall a great zoo but I thought there were lots of areas for improvement. Animals looked well cared for which is always the main thing when going to a zoo for me. The cafe is awful and the staff acted as if they didn't want to be there. Otherwise animals were fab. Loads of walking, we're glad we took the pushchair.

Good day out, plenty of refreshment stations and water for topping up your own bottles. Also they have SPF50 sun cream dispensers around the park too. Only negative is the price of the food and drink being high. The queue for the gift shop at the end of the day was crazy too!
The rides and attractions are very good. Try to take food and drink with you as it is very expressive to eat and drink on site and food was not very good. Lost a star for this and the lack of someone cleaning the tables in the burger restaurant we visited. Rides suitable for kids over 0.7m with a couple (driving school) capped at about 1.3m. This is a whole day's worth of activities so arrive early to make the most of it. Download the app to see approximate queue times for the rides. That was a good indicator of how long to wait and allows you to plan the day and visit better as queue time fluctuate throughout the day.
Legoland Windsor is a fantastic day out for both kids and adults! The park is constantly evolving, and the recent addition of the Speedway ride was a real highlight. During our visit, there was also an Easter event taking place, with themed Lego builds scattered around the park, which added an extra layer of fun.
The Legoland app was incredibly helpful—queue times were accurate and made planning our day much easier. Compared to other theme parks in the UK, Legoland stands out for its reliability; nearly all the rides were up and running, which is a rare treat!
There are plenty of food outlets, refreshment areas, and gift shops dotted throughout the park, so you're never far from what you need.
As for the downsides: some of the ride operators didn’t seem particularly engaged, appearing distracted or uninterested. While this isn't unusual in theme parks, it was noticeable. That said, there were also staff members who were fantastic—enthusiastic, friendly, and great with the kids.
Another thing to be aware of: if you stay until closing, expect long queues for the main gift shop and a slow exit from the car park. It can be a bit of a headache, so leaving a bit earlier might save you some stress.
All in all, Legoland Windsor is an amazing place with loads to do, and we had a brilliant time!
I absolutely loved my day at legoland Windsor. First all the rides, decorations and whole park was just littered with fun Lego stuff to each corner of the place. Next the rides went from calm Lego train all the way to a super fast past race and sudden drop castle ride which was super fun. Also it was very fun getting on a ride. So fun and already want to go back!! I had so, so much fun I 100% recommend to anyone who likes Lego or fun parks with rides and stuff to get on

Great day full of fun. Lots to see and do. First visit with our 2 year old grandaughter and though she couldn't go on everything there was definitely loads to see and do.
Take a picnic or enjoy fab food there with great entertainment.
Great for younger kids. Waiting time upwards of 40mins for every ride. Fast past helped but could only use it one ride at a time with still a 40 minute wait.
Food is crazy expensive £5 for an icecream and £13 for a hot dog. Legoland does allow you to bring your own food, so I'd suggest taking a picnic and also you can re enter the park with a hand stamp so you can leave all food in your car instead of carrying it around all day.
Great day out, but a few things to be aware of
We visited Legoland outside of the holidays and half-term, and it wasn’t too busy, which was a big plus. We managed to go on several rides without long queues, and the kids had a fantastic time. My youngest, who is 18 months, couldn’t go on many rides, but he still really enjoyed the playgrounds. They were very well designed and sophisticated, although unfortunately, some of the slides and play areas were closed.
One downside is the food – as many other reviewers have said, it’s extremely expensive and not really worth it. We brought our own packed lunches and snacks, which worked well. Another thing we noticed were the paid games (like trying to get a ball in a hole or break blocks) which cost £5–£10 per go. These were quite difficult even for adults, and we saw staff offering extra attempts to some people for free after we had left the area, which felt unfair. If it’s £10 for a certain number of attempts, it should be the same for everyone.
A highlight was that the kids truly enjoyed themselves, and overall, we had a lovely outing. We’ll definitely come back again. However, I was disappointed to find out after purchasing our tickets that there was a discounted rate for preschoolers and adults visiting during term time. This wasn’t clearly advertised when booking online, and I only noticed it once we were at Legoland. Since my children aren’t in school yet, this offer would have applied to us and made the visit more affordable.
Lastly, parking is an extra cost, and some of the rides and play areas felt a little outdated. That said, it was still a fun and memorable day for the family.

First visit. It's Windsor castle. Suffice to say lots of history. Entrance fee was reasonable. Can't take photos inside the building or the church. To cafes, one in the basement, one outside, tasty food but a little bit pricey. Staff were all friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions of a practical or historical nature. Probably need a good few hours to look around, we took 4 hours. It can get busy for the inside exhibits so expect queues at peak times. Very moving to see Queen Elizabeth II's resting place. Definitely worth a visit of you're interested in history, even foreign history looking at the gifts sent from other nations.

An absolute must see! Buy your tickets in advance and allow yourself enough time to park if you’re driving. This is a great audio tour and the grounds are massive. I would make sure to see St. George’s Chapel where the queen is buried!
Brilliant experience throughout the premises. Expect airport style security at the gates. Very well marked signs and walks are located throughout the premises. For a full ticket, a complimentary audio guide is also provided subject to availability. Several car parks are located nearby, recommend researching what suits you best. A cafe is located inside which serves hot and cold food. A few souvenir shops also available inside. Many areas are restricted for videography and photography. This is strictly enforced. On the upper side, it can get quite windy and cold even on a sunny day. If you're interested in the change of guard, ask the local helpers/workers by the cathedral.
Great castle, LOTs to look at. The stateroom displays are a lot to take in. So much cool stuff. The guards are cool. Wish the chapel would have been open.... absolutely worth a visit, hands down.
Simply spectacular, and fascinating to listen to the history of the castle, amazing architecture. There are no words to describe the richness of culture at that time, and luckily we have this amazing place that can remind us of what was here, and what people and warriors sacrificed for this country, as it is fading at the speed of light and unfortunately I don't know what it could be in a decade or two.

Windsor is a lovely town with a truly regal atmosphere. The castle is absolutely magnificent — rich with history and beautifully preserved. Walking through the quaint streets, relaxing by the river, and exploring the shops made for a perfect day. It’s a must-visit if you’re anywhere near London!
Visiting Windsor Castle was an incredible experience. The sheer scale and history of the place are awe-inspiring. Walking through the State Apartments and seeing the intricate details of the furnishings and artwork was like stepping back in time.
St George’s Chapel was a highlight—stunning architecture and such a peaceful atmosphere. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the views from the castle are breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in British history or royal heritage.

Had about 3 hours at Birdworld with 9 and 11 year old. It was a good place to visit. It was really cold and damp, We would have stayed longer but we were so cold. Great selection of birds including penguins. Activity area with climbing frame. Cafe and Costa, one walk through area that was really well done and a few cages empty as being revamped. As a family we had a vote and gave it 4 stars.
Gift shop was good, coffee was great but the main cafe a bit cold inside. Kids had a decent time & left happy, which is the main thing.
We found a pay for an duly get a child in free deal with Hampshire attractions - simple downloaded voucher, so saved us about £30. If you book on line you can save 20% and I think they did blue light cards.
Never been before. Want to come again midweek during term time. Loved it. Too many screaming kids for me. Beautiful display of birds. We were pleased with the discount on entry as well. The staff we met were really nice. When the cafe is busy, you need more staff to clear tables or somewhere to return trays yourself.
I really liked the soft floor parts, it felt good to walk on.
Fantastic place, I went with my 10 year old son. We arrived just after opening and spent a good 4 hours there. They're doing some improvements to the site, and have already opened the new Flamingo area. We would really recommend it and will be going back
We went today Sunday 6th April. We arrived around 09:50 and there was already a considerable queue to enter. Once the doors opened the queue went quickly (they take the NHS blue light card). The guy explained everything to us at the desk and off we went. Went to the toilet first, these were clean. Walked round and started seeing the birds. Saw the penguin feeding at 11:00 which was great! Had lunch in the cafe, food was really really nice. Had another walk round after lunch as well before leaving. Lots to see and had a great day. Would definitely go back 🦜🦤
Really enjoyed my time at Birdworld. Spent about three hours there. Lots of parking and easy to find. Ordered my tickets online and I thought the prices were reasonable.
Lots of interesting birds from all over the world. The aviaries that you can walk through are nicely done, especially the new Wetland Waders and flamingo area. The highlight for me were the pink pelicans, especially when they decided to hop out of their enclosure and walk along the path!
The site is undergoing some development, with a new playground coming soon, so I'll be keen to check it out again next year, perhaps in the summer.
We had a great visit as it was a week day and fairly quiet. The birds all seem very well cared for and most were happy to engage with visitors. There were plenty of staff to help with questions. There was a lot of building work going on during our visit and a few of the areas were not open. I was pushing a wheelchair which was not easy on some of the gravel paths. Overall a good visit but not cheap!
Had a really enjoyable family day out with our children and grandchildren (4yrs & 18mths). Park was clean and tidy, large carpark, food outlets and gift shop. Lots of benches around the place with lots of different types of birds to see with talks at different times of the day at different locations. Play area more for over 5’s but a new one being constructed opening in the summer.

Wow... Just wow. Firstly to be honest I'm not really a harry potter fan but this tour was incredible. Really fascinating to see the sets, see how they created effects. How things looked and were used and refused. How creatures were made. How makeup was done. And everything in between.
The system at the studios is really slick also .moving your through different areas with lots to see and do. The activity books were a great touch also with hidden things to find along the way. The food as decent and not especially expensive. The shop at the end was reasonably priced too and huge. But the highlight has to be the staff. They have so much knowledge of the sets and props. And are only too happy to share stories and tips. They were amazing. We will be back.

Tried to get the Deluxe tickets for years and finally managed to get them for my Birthday.
One of the best presents ever I have given myself. I can stress enough how happy, friendly, helpful and amazing every single member of the staff are. Special kudos to Nick, who was our guide for the day. Giving us all the details and hidden secrets about the movies and the sets.
Some of the sets, if not all will just take your breath away. Whether you are a fan or not, it’s worth visiting to learn about how much effort it actually takes to make these things happen. Animatronics, sets that took months to build just so it’s seen for a few minutes.
Visited during the Magical Mischief, so there were some specific props and decorations.
As a perk of the Deluxe tickets, you get to skip most of the queues, and a few nice extras I won’t spoil. They let you roam around and do the tour again on your own. Spent about 10 hours in the studio, and if I could I’d have stayed for the night!

I recently revisited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London, and even though it was my second time (my first visit was five years ago), it still completely blew me away. This time, I brought my mom and dad along — and it was extra special because my mom and I are huge Harry Potter fans!
First tip: book your tickets well in advance — at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead of time. You cannot buy tickets at the entrance, and they do sell out quickly. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but 100% worth every penny.
Getting there is straightforward: we took a train from Euston Station to Watford Junction (they run every 15 minutes), and from there, a free shuttle bus takes you directly to the studios.
One thing I really appreciated this time around was the Spanish audioguide we got for my parents, since they don’t speak English. It was fantastic — really well done, and made the whole experience much more immersive for them.
The tour starts with a short, 15-minute guided intro, then you’re free to explore at your own pace. We stayed about 3 hours but honestly could have spent 6 easily. There’s so much to see — original sets, props, costumes, behind-the-scenes secrets, and tons of interactive features. There’s even a cafe halfway through the tour where you can grab a bite and recharge before diving back into the magic.
Whether it’s your first time or a return visit, the studio tour is packed with detail and wonder. For any Harry Potter fan, it’s truly an unforgettable experience.
Let me start with I am a huge Potter fan after reading the books and watching the movies. I am generally not a fan of theme parks, however. This place was amazing. I felt like it was an all encompassing Potter Museum of which you must visit. So many memories will flood back seeing costumes, sets and props. Highly recommended!!
If you are a Harry Potter fan and you happen to be in London you absolutely cannot miss visiting the Harry Potter studios. You will immerse yourself in some scenes from the film and you will be able to experience them in first person. Absolutely enchanting place, kind and present staff during the tour. Definitely worth a visit if your a harry potter fan. Lots of sets used in the films to look at some you can walk through. Very large shop that has all your bits and bobs for you're perfect little witch or wizard. Shop also takes CASH!!! Really good food in the food hall area bit pricey but all looked good.
An absolute must-visit for Harry Potter fans of all ages! I was genuinely amazed by the scale of the exhibition and the sheer number of props and original items from the films. It’s a truly magical and unforgettable experience.
We spent nearly six hours inside (yes, really! 😄), so I highly recommend setting aside the whole day to enjoy it fully. Midway through, there’s a cozy café where you can grab lunch—and of course, try the iconic Butterbeer. (Unfortunately, it is non alcoholic lemonade :D )
It's absolutely worth the money. Just be prepared to spend a bit more in the souvenir shop—there are so many tempting and beautifully made items.
Also, getting there is super easy from London: a quick train ride followed by a shuttle bus that takes you straight to the studios.

We have been to the stadium many times as a family with small children and we always had great fun watching the game. Lots of food option and reasonable price. Security system is very good and it made us feel very safe.
To visit the most iconic stadium in England, you would think it to be a stand out, masterpiece of a stadium. However, I was left a little underwhelmed. Our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable, made the tour his own due to experience and passion. But I genuinely thought that the upkeep of the stadium would have been better. For example, the dining area that Prince William uses, needed some maintenance due to marks on the wall, ceiling and damaged furniture. The main seating in the stadium is faded in areas as well.
Very surprised to the amount, or lack, of merchandise available in the shop. Scratching my head with this trick missed by the commercial team.
Having visited the original Wembley, I also thought they would have played ‘crowd noise’ while you are in the tunnel, waiting to go into the pitch. This would have made that special moment more. Another trick missed.
Overall, I thought this experience was good and for the price, okay. Having visited other stadiums in England and Europe, I thought the Wembley one would have been better. Easy to get to, surrounding facilities are great for all. But the main attraction, needs a little more.
This was, by far, my favourite stadium ever, and I’ve been to a few (including the old Wembley, 21 years ago). It’s staggeringly beautiful, modern yet classic and it retains all the magic and awe the old stadium had. The tour was made even better by our amazing guide Jason who was accommodating, thorough, dynamic and truly funny throughout the whole thing. A must-see for any footy fan.

This was my fifth visit to our national stadium and each time I walk in it takes my breath away. It's a great stadium, easily the best I've ever been to. It's true what they say, there really isn't a bad seat in the stadium. I decided to treat myself to a CAT 1 ticket in block 121, however, previously I have sat up top 'in the Gods' and it really doesn't take anything away from the experience.
People often complain about the food prices from the concession stands. Firstly, if you're not prepared to pay a premium, eat before you go. Secondly, I had a pie and a pint for a tenner, which for a football stadium, I consider good value for money, especially when you consider the pint would be almost £8 on it's own. It was one of the best steak pies I've ever had, certainly the best steak pie I've ever had in a football stadium.
Posh won 2-0 and I went home happy. If you get a chance to go.... go! Our national stadium truly is something to be proud of.
What a phenomenal venue! Plenty of places around to get food and drink, with reasonable prices for drinks in the venue too. I went for the Sidemen Charity Football Match and had the best time of my life!
The staff were all really friendly and great at getting the huge crowd into the stadium quickly without issues. Really hope to come back to Wembley again soon 🙏

• The Kew Palace is also within the garden premises and is worth visiting — although I missed it as it closes at 16:30.
• There’s a dedicated children’s playground, which is great if you’re visiting with family.

It's a beautiful place, you'll walk a lot. It's quite big, but it's great for people who are getting their first teeth or for people with families with children. It also has benches to sit on, a water station where you can fill your water bottle, and clean bathrooms. It's a good place to visit. Those who like plants, flowers, and trees will really like it. There are places to eat, with beautiful views, but a little expensive.
My all-time favourite place in London. It's beautiful and there is so much to see. We have been here last year while raining and still was beautiful. But with sunshine you can really enjoy your time and take everything in.

It was a lovely view, the plants are well taken care of, brought back nostalgic feelings cos I saw some plants I grew up with. We didn't get to eat in Pavilion restaurant cos it closes around 4pm but it was reassuring to know that everything they make is sourced from the garden. Highly recommend a day out especially with the sun out and oh! I will return soon.
Loved visiting for a day! It's easy to get to with lots of access gates and trains. Every area of the garden is different with loads of trails and walking routes.
Tips: wear comfortable walking shoes, take a picnic (there are places to buy food but it's cheaper to take with and enjoy on the grass), bring a hat and sunscreen.
I really can’t say enough lovely things about Kew Gardens. A real gem that we are lucky to have in London. Every part of the gardens is beautiful and meticulously planned out, and you can tell a lot of love goes into the displays from the people who work there. I can’t wait to go back again.
I absolutely love this place—I've visited four times in the past year! The Christmas lights are especially magical and not to be missed. I highly recommend spending time here throughout the seasons.

Visited for my partner’s birthday and had a fantastic time. The palace is full of history—from the dramatic Tudor kitchens and Great Hall to the elegant Georgian extensions. The audio guide really brought everything to life, and it felt surreal walking in the footsteps of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.
We stayed at a hotel about five miles away, but next time we’d definitely choose The Mitre Hotel, which is right opposite the palace. It would’ve made things much easier, especially with Hampton Court train station just next door and plenty of restaurants in the area for a lovely evening out.
Highly recommend this amazing, well-maintained palace for anyone interested in British history.
What an amazing visit! We were lucky enough to stay inside the Palace grounds, along Tennis Court Lane & got to explore the Palace courtyards outside normal opening hours….which was INCREDIBLE! During the day when the palace was open we loved doing the audio tour & seeing all the exhibits & immersing ourselves in the history…definitely recommend picking up the free audio from the shop at Base Court. The grounds are divine, the rose garden, kitchen garden, privy garden were the favourites for us, along with wandering through the ‘wildness’ & the maze. The Royal Chapel is beautiful & the history on the audio was presented in a fun & entertaining way. We didn’t have time to visit Tudor World but it is always good to leave something for the next trip. Big shout out to the security team who made our stay even more special. We loved driving through the Trophy Gates & up the main driveway. If visiting for the day, you need a full day to truly enjoy everything on offer. We loved it & will be back!
Hampton Court Palace is a great place to spend the day. It’s packed with history, and the audio guide is really helpful. Walking through the palace and seeing all the rooms really brings the past to life. The maze is a fun bonus, and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. There’s plenty of parking, for around £1.80 an hour, but on busy days it can fill up—Hampton Station nearby is a good backup, and it’s only about £2.80 for 2 hours or £4 for the whole day. We visited on a busy bank holiday weekend and the service was great from the staff and only around 5 min waiting times to buy the tickets. Definitely worth a visit, especially in spring when the flowers, especially the tulips, are in full bloom!
A really amazing experience, especially if you love Tudor history. I felt transported back in time. It was truly a fantastic experience. I would say do the self guided tour and then go and have a picnic in the Gardens. You can spend all day here. We even went for a ride in the horse and carriage. Fantastic day out
Fantastic property and gardens. There's plenty to see. There's a fair bit of walking involved if you want to do the gardens justice, but most of it is flat. We didn't do the inclusive audio tour and made our own way around. Even though we went on a weekday, it was very busy with a number of school groups there. It's not cheap but highly recommended.

We had the most incredible time at Chessington World of Adventures! The park is absolutely amazing – there’s so much to do for the whole family, from thrilling rides to fun attractions and incredible shows. Every part of the park is packed with excitement and adventure, making it the perfect destination for families looking for a full day of fun.
The new World of Jumanji is simply outstanding – the theming is spot-on, and all the rides there are super nice, extremely fantastic, and a real highlight of our trip. It’s clear that a lot of love and attention to detail went into creating it. Every ride felt like a new adventure, and we couldn’t get enough!
We will definitely be coming back again – one visit just isn’t enough to experience everything!
The only thing to mention is that the car park is quite expensive, but honestly, with everything the park has to offer inside, it still feels well worth it. There’s plenty to do for the whole family, and we made memories that we will cherish forever.
Highly recommend Chessington for anyone looking for a magical and action-packed day out!

Great park, sometimes a bit tricky to find disabled entrance and get access pass. Pizza and pasta cafe a bit more expensive than it should be. Food is tasty but quality of drinks leaves much to be desired. Need to add juice and water. Overall we had a great day.
We had high expectations as we have never been there before, unfortunately the wait times were ridiculous for each ride where on average it was 100 minutes wait which set the day to be a bit of a downer.
Our recommended rides were the Jumanji (wait 100 minutes) and the vampire (wait 125 minutes).
The place is good for taking your kids up to the age of 9 to introduce them into theme parks but we felt a bit let down for the hype we have read, heard and seen. My kids are 9 & 12 and are a little bit of thrill seekers, unfortunately it didn't tick all the boxes.
All in all this is a lovely little theme park. Grounds seemed well maintained and they facilities such as toilets and places to eat were all clean and very well kept. We barely queued for anything as we went just after Easter. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is prices once you enter the park. £4.75 for a Fanta seems very steep, and some food items also reflected these high prices. Other than that we had a brilliant day as two 30 something years olds.
£12 to park in a pot holed field - really ? Not on to rip off the loyal customers who do come to make up for falling visitor numbers since COVID and pay for upgrades to the park. That said we had a fun day although I hate the new system for Ride Access Passes which has gone too far the other way.
Great short Easter break, stayed at the safari hotel. It was great with great views of the animals. The rooms are quite spacious and clean and the hotel itself is not bad. They say they offer "entertainment", however I must say they do not, besides the movie area where they played the same movie all night and the next day on repeat and a couple meet n great and a 5 min supposit disco. There was absolutely no entertainment so not sure why they advertise their hotel as such. Sides from that the staff were kind and welcoming and the breakfast that you have to book a table for but they don't tell you, was ok. Nothing to sing about but edible.
The park was fun, just got spoiled at the end by staff members who don't actually give a damn about children or people and are there just to get paid. Most of them are young folk. They put my child in a distressful and dangerous situation and could give two monkeys about what they did and how it impacted her and myself. That's the only thing that ruined what started as a great holiday and short break, ended in tears and anger. Shame really as now my child doesn't want to go back.
A great experience. Never been here before but it had everything from rides to a zoo. Loads to do and keep the grand children entertained. The only drawback as with all theme parks is the time spent queuing.
Lovely zoo and resort! There were long queues, so it was worth spending the extra £12 for the fast pass (per ride). The rides intrinsically are free. The rides are about 45-60 seconds long. Some are quite extreme! But many are appropriate for kids too.
