We really enjoyed seeing the hatchery. We had not been prior to their redesign but the building was beautiful and clean. There is a decent size parking lot along with clean restrooms and helpful staff. There is not entry fee but there is fish food for purchase outside by the trout raceways for 25 cents (cash to coin machines located inside). We spent about an hour there and we took our time. When you walk in you can see a few animals they have on display along with some fun facts about native species and the trout hatchery process. There is also a short 8 minute video they would play upon request that walks you through the history of the facility and what they do. Outside there is a large area with lots of trout. We spent about a dollar in fish food and had plenty of fun feeding the trout. We had been fishing for trout earlier in the day so it was super cool to see how the trout were raised and what the trout fee goes towards. Near by there are public access to the shore of the lake (half mile or less walk depending on where you park) and they sell fishing licenses in the building. It a a nice walk to see the lake closer or go fishing (although there are special rules for fishing in the area but the front desk is happy to explain if you need help). Would recommend if your in the area and looking to kill an hour for a few quarters.

There was plenty of parking at the trailhead, which made for an easy start. The trail is definitely rugged and very rocky—not at all stroller-friendly. Along the way, we spotted a couple of small snakes and lizards, which just added to the feeling of being out in nature. Nothing dangerous, just part of the environment. When you arrive there is free parking labeled to the right of a resort entrance. To the left of the entrance is the start of the trail (I don’t believe it’s associated with the resort). It’s about a half mile to the waterfall and the trail appears to continue but we turned back since we had plans for afterwards. The creek and rocks where beautiful and we saw several schools of fish in the clear water. The trail does switch between the right and left side of the creek and some areas have unstable rocks and are slippery. I would recommend shoes with good tread and a hiking stick if you want to be sure not to fall. It is not something you could easily bike or run because of the water. The falls are super pretty and perfect photo op. Some areas are very close to the resort so just keep in mind. Didn’t cause any problems for us.

We had a group of ten so we were able to get the tickets cheaper due to group rate. My youngest daughter who turned 11 was bummed bc she was to short (by 1in) to drive the "big" go carts. I bought 2 hour wristbands for 6 people which ended up costing around 300 dollars. The main track was down but laser tag and the classic track was fun. However, at the heavy metal high rise, an accident occurred on the track that delayed our ability to get to ride. Having stayed in KOAs all over the country I expected more. There were no events, the playground was just a regular jungle gym like you would have in your backyard, there was no game room, the pool closed promptly at 8 even though the sun didn't set for another hour. The sites are super close together which would have been a problem if the campground was full, but it was not full so it was not too much of an issue. None of the RV sites were anywhere near level. The dog park is really far from just about everything. The all you can eat pancakes were really good, it would be better if they served them every day. They did allow pets in the cabins which was the #1 reason why we stayed here. It is conveniently located near a lot of things in Branson.

It was myself, my husband, and our two younger kids, and we found it to be very cramped when we were all inside. However, we mainly slept in the cabin and spent all of our other time either at the pool or in town doing activities. We found it to be manageable, but if you plan on spending any amount of time in the cabin itself, you will find yourself very pressed for space. The cabin itself is a trailer that has been put on blocks, so it’s essentially a camper made to look like a cabin. I believe the dimensions were 18x20 and the KOA website has the dimensions of all cabins if you wanted to look. Again, it was clean and functional, just extremely small. We did have to keep some of our luggage in the car because the cabin itself was too small to hold it. There are some shelves and smaller drawers in the cabin, but nowhere where our luggage fit. As for the campgrounds, the kids loved the pool. It was very clean, the pool area was well taken care of, and the water never looked dirty at all. The slide was a real hit with the kids! We also loved that the small shop upfront by the pool had ice cream and sodas, allowing us to have a quick treat during the day. They also have pizza and wings if you ever want to get dinner. The grounds are also very well maintained. The common areas have wonderfully done landscaping, fresh mulch, and fresh cut grass. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into the foliage/plants on site. The campgrounds have breakfast Thurs.-Sat. from 8am-10am and it’s very reasonably priced (picture of menu included). We did not eat here but heard wonderful things about the breakfast. All in all we enjoyed ourselves but probably will not stay here again. The cost per night was roughly $125-135 and there is a $75 cleaning fee, taking the total closer to $150-170/night. You do not get daily housekeeping and you are required to bag your own trash. For the same price, there are at least a dozen hotels in Branson that offer bigger rooms, free breakfast, daily housekeeping, and even free desserts at night. However, we did enjoy ourselves and the kids loved having a somewhat rustic adventure.

This is a full hookup park that has easy access to everything Branson has to offer. Dave and Christina are hands on and give you the absolute best hospitality from the minute you arrive at the entrance, from helping you park to maximize the amount of room you have on their level sites, to giving you a plethora of information on shows, attractions and great places to eat. They will give you a cable box if you have time to watch TV , there is a huge library of DVDs in the office, as well as drop off a fire ring AND deliver firewood to your site if needed. They literally think of everything a camper could need to make their stay more enjoyable. We appreciated the fact that Shenanigans is veteran owned and operated but don’t hold being a Navy Vet against Dave, he really is a great person. We will come back on our next trip to Branson.

We had a short couples getaway and I messed up and got the tickets for the wrong date. I called the morning that my tickets were for and, despite such short notice, Joy at the front desk was so kind and fixed everything for us. She was also so wonderful with explaining the schedule and processes for our day and even helped us upgrade from our VIP+ tickets to include a second animal encounter after we fell in love with seeing the Lemurs. With our VIP+ tickets, we had the pleasure of Cory being our guide. We started off by going over safety protocols and instructions on how to handle each of the small animals. We got to hold a Joey (the highlight of my entire life), pet a prairie dog, and hold a boa constrictor. Then we also got to pet a sweet Patagonian Mara, hairy armadillos, and Fennec foxes. For our VIP+ encounter, we chose to feed the Sloths and added an extra encounter with the Lemurs. We are so happy we did both because it was amazing to interact with the sloths, but they were less active and the Lemurs were giving us kisses, running all over us, and even grooming our hair. Cory was really incredible the whole time, giving us so much cool info and answering all of our questions. The outside drive and petting portion were awesome as well, but I HIGHLY recommend the VIP or VIP+. Joy in the gift shop LOVES the baby spider monkeys, so if you do a VIP+ experience with them, be sure to request her. Cory is the absolute best with the sloths. It is like a giant maze that you walk through with exhibits and tanos with all types of animals and critters on each side. I would definitely recommend going as early as possible because the later we stayed the busier it got and it can get cramped! There were so many animals to see including sloths, sharks, bats, lions, tigers, lemurs, fish, crocodiles and tons more! After you are done there is also glow in the dark mini golf which is pretty quick with only a couple holes but the course is lined with fish/aquatic tanks to look at along the way!

All of the exhibits seem much too small for the animals. I usually don't have an issue with zoos, but I felt really sad for the alligators that had such tiny enclosures. The lemur encounter was fun, and the zookeeper was very informative and fun. She was helpful and saved the experience I had. The baby lemur is ADORABLE. The sites are kind of close together, but I've been to plenty that are this close. We stayed in campground 9(I think), if you don't mind backing in. You're close to the neighbor to your left but have so much space to the right. We were able to use the hot tub, but it was a little too cool for the pool and lazy river. They were all very clean though. I don't know if they do different pricing for the Winter months, I hope so because that pool area is really what made the price worth it. Dog park is a good size but wasn't fenced in at the date of our stay, our dogs are pretty well trained and it was just after Labor Day and not very busy. We were able to keep them in the designated spot and get them some exercise. All the staff were very friendly. We were even able to grab some wood after they closed (with permission) and paid for it the next day. When we checked in they gave us a bunch of little things from a couple of restaurants. They are super close to shopping, we spent a lot of time at The Landing. They do have WIFI and we were able to find plenty of channels on the antenna, but we weren't in the camper long enough to really use the TV a lot. Over all this place looks really new, they are constructing more sites. A lot of sites don't have concrete padding yet, and the dog park not being fenced in.. that's all probably temporary. Our site was one of the ones that had concrete.

The laundry room is real nice and the whole place is clean. The sites are plenty long and the concrete sites are level side to side but not length ways, and good water pressure. Now the not so good, the pictures show level sites with grass this is NOT the standard. There are probably 16 or so sites on top of the hill that is it, the rest of the sites are narrow and there isn't even room for chairs unless they are on the concrete. Basically from the edge of the pad to the next site is a slope to steep to use. The concrete pads are 13 feet wide so a coach with slides on booth sides take up the whole pad. The whole park looks unfinished and there are tree hazards all over the park BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN PARKING. Most all of the sites are all stone that is hard on small kids and pets, and fhere are weeds everywhere. Its almost a bait and switch from the pictures. I just can't figure out why you would build a new park with sites so narrow, they are unusable for anything other than parking. I understand economics and sites are income but add 10 feet to each site and make it more usable. Just because you have a pool does not make you a resort. The place is just ok, and for the facility I think it's over priced.

We have stayed at 4 other campgrounds in Branson and this is my favorite. The owners and staff are super people. The sites vary with some having concrete pads and others are gravel. The view was amazing and you feel like you are further away from town but the Branson landing is just a few minutes away.
