I saw a video about the Hot Tin on TikTok and immediately wanted to check it out! This roof top bar is on the edge of the Garden District and has great drinks with an awesome view. The bartenders were friendly and didn’t mind answering questions about the neighborhood. It’s at the top of the hotel Pontchartrain, so if you’re using Apple Maps to get there, make sure you’re looking for the hotel and not the bar, as we didn’t see a sign for the bar on the street. Make sure you’re paying attention to the elevator that you’re taking up, as we didn’t pay attention and ended up having to walk up five flights of stairs because we took the hotel elevator, not the elevator that went up to the Hot Tin. We tried the High Violet and the beer “90s Women Power Ballads” from the brewery Brieux Carre. We enjoyed the beer so much we actually went to the brewery several times during our stay - we would’ve never know about Brieux Carre if we hadn’t gone to the Hot Tin!
One of the most relaxing roof tops we’ve been to.
We had some wine and enjoyed the view. Space is small and not very comfortable if too crowded.
Best time to go is brunch time, anytime after six it’s no where to sit.
We enjoyed our time here.
Beautiful view of the city. The atmosphere was okay. Wasn't sure of the vibe they were going for with the music, but not horrible. Seating isn't the most comfortable. Decor was cool, rustic old school feel. It got chilly on the terrace with the breeze. But I can imagine on a better night it would be perfect. The bartender we had was good. Made great drinks, but they are a little pricey depending on your budget. Overall, nice spot. The wife and I enjoyed our time.
