Hands down the best red velvet cakes here! Moist, not too sweet and perfect cream cheese frosting! Cute cafe with a homey decor. First discovered this place when I came for afternoon tea and I have not found a better red velvet cake. Large variety of cakes, macarons, brownies and cookies. Also have a good mix of ciabattas, bagels and warm foods. Have a garden at the back when you want to sit outside with swings for the kids. Great lil place and service is always friendly. Highly recommend this place ❤️
I had my baby shower here yesterday and they didn’t disappoint. The ladies were lovely, the decor was beautiful and the afternoon tea was definitely the best I have had (which is a lot!). I would recommend for anyone to visit from grabbing a quick coffee or having afternoon/ lunch. Thank you so much for the lovely afternoon ladies, we will be back to visit soon! X (Red velvet cake was the best! - must try)
The Ladies at Lavender House Cafe were fantastic, very attentive, friendly and took an interest in our party which was really nice and made it feel that extra bit special. The food was lovely, the beautiful cakes, the glass of bubbly, all the lovely surprises was fantastic and the whole party loved it. The only thing stopping this from being a five is the fact that the place is quite small so at times we felt as though we were in the way but regardless this didn’t take away from the fantastic time with had and we appreciate that they took the time to fit us in and made a lovely effort with us and the babies also! We will definitely be back!

Amazing find. One of the best afternoon teas we have had. Food was lovely, and had extras that many afternoon tea's don't have. Price was really good. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Guarantee we will be returning in the near future.

Stopped using the cafe as they let dogs in. Not only very unhygenic but the one in the queue behind me smelled awful. I think it was a sausage dog. Animals have no place in cafes. Garden is nice to sit in. Staff polite and welcoming. Food nice but pricey.
