This art museum is a lively little space with several rambling rooms. When I visited the galleries were divided into two separate exhibits and an art studio room geared toward kids.
The gallery shares a building with the art, art history, and theater departments, along with a large performance hall.
It was a bit difficult to find visitor parking close enough for a hundred degree day, though the science museum is just across the main street.
An incredible experience! Our group of students and teachers absolutely loved visiting the Martin Museum of Art. The art was inspiring, and the staff, professors and students were all incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. A hidden gem on Baylor’s campus!
A nice, small gallery, perfect for walking through when you have some time to kill and are interested. Definitely stop by, the student works on display are all wonderful and they usually have a special exhibit for the season. There's no cost of admission and the special exhibits are usually authentic, not replicas. One of the best art museums in Waco, despite its' humble size. This is my review, so I'll say that I think it's just the right size. Plenty to see if you know where to look, and not so much to see that you exhaust yourself and don't get to finish what else you want to do.
