We were welcomed by Ebony, she was very friendly, she was the only waitress there and ran the restaurant seamlessly. Romeo was the bar tender, he mixed gorgeous cocktails. He helped Ebony on the restaurant floor in between mixing. I can't thank them both enough for making our night so enjoyable. The food was delicious, with lots of choice. I can't wait to go back and try something different.
This was such a cute, quaint place! The food was tasty! I enjoyed the lobster Mac & cheese balls with the Jerk chicken wings. I knew the meal was going to be excellent as there were two older male Jamaican cooks in the back that look like they throw down all the time! Kisses to the cooks!! We didn't get a chance to come back for Happy hour, but I did have the Rum punch during brunch and it was good, we got a little buzz from it! Stop in and try them out! It's worth it!
After seeing generally positive reviews here we thought we'd give it a try. The Positives are that they do have a long and varied menu in terms of both food and drink. However when it came to the grills, particularly the jerk, everything was layered in the same BBQ style jerk marinade which didn't taste that moreish. I had the jerk mixed grill and all the different types of meats had the same BBQ coating over it.. it would be better to have different flavours between the meats. The worst was the lamb kofta which really shouldn't be on the menu at all. The other friends complimented the curries they ordered and my favourite was the dumpling which were perfectly sweet and crispy. Service was on the whole ok. Would I go back, maybe not, but if u are in Camden it's probably your best bet for caribbean food.
Absolute delicious food! The oxtail was the best I've ever had! The ribs also were 10/10 the dumplings were also delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to visit again :)
Ma Petite Jamaica in Camden offers a delightful taste of Jamaican cuisine, paired with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The service is commendable, and while the food prices are reasonable given the location, you might find yourself paying a bit more for their delightful Guinness punch. The decor stands out with its vivid Caribbean colors and artistic renditions of Bob Marley’s "Redemption Song" lyrics, creating an immersive dining experience. If you’re in Camden and craving authentic Jamaican flavors, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to returning!
