We did a Close Encounter with the ring tailed Lemurs and it was fantastic. Zoo entry was included with the close encounter which made it good value and gave that something special to the zoo. We also really enjoyed talking to one of the volunteers at the zoo. She was full of stories and fun facts about the animals.
A good Zoo for Families and a easy day activity. You can get quiet close to the animals and there are a lot of playgrounds and picnicking areas to take a break. The given information on the animals are interesting and easy to understand.
It was a very fun place for both adults and kids! I love how they organised areas for little ones to run around. Will def need to bring your kids here to learn through play! Love those New Zealand birds, the sheep, the pig, the red panda, and the lion! You can see the lion pretty close

I enjoyed my walk through this zoo, about 2 hours. I caught one feeding show among many throughout the day. The zoo keepers were very friendly and informative. I like the multiple toilet access with a couple stalls vs. one big washroom area near the entrance/exit like other zoos. Sad that a few cages have no animals at all unless it's feeding/show time.

A great zoo, worth visiting a lot of times. Don’t forget to bring snacks and drinks, the place is quite big and it’s not always all the cafes are open. Lots of space for the kids to run around. If you want to book any encounters, be sure to do it a couple of weeks beforehand since they run out quickly.
