The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is a unique complex of five joined churches located in the Kastro neighborhood. Built in the 17th century, it stands out as an admirable architectural monument and a characteristic image of Cycladic temples. The church's whitewashed exterior and unconventional design reflect the island's vernacular architecture and Cycladic flair.
Nice attraction to visit in Mykonos . Tickets cost 2 Euros. They have small museums upstairs. Small church gift shop right side from entrance. The village itself is nice and it has nice coffee shops and restaurants. There is also good gift shop close by in the village for souvenirs.

Nice old church from the outside, couldn’t go inside as it is closed for some reasons.

Located at one edge of mykonos, next to the old ruins of the castle, is this small beautiful church. Magical and very romantic.. came almost sunset, enjoyed the beautiful view as well..
Reyner G — Google review
An amazing place to chill and relax with the beautiful view. The place is less crowded during the afternoon but during sunsets and evenings its very crowded unlike the other town little Venice. Make sure u use the longer way of the old port road and avoid the aisles to get to this place. Recommend to visit here during sunsets. Couldn't make it up for one due to other commitments but would definitely plan for one in the near future.
Francis C — Google review
A white historical church by the sea, the church looks different from the blue dome ones, it can not be entered and has a triangle top with only one bell. I visit it at noon and the sun is just too strong especially reflected by the completely white church, recommend you to visit during sunset hours.
Eric N — Google review
Very nice little church sitting at the edge with space around it. There is also a very nice corner where you can climb down a bit to reach some rocks if you want to take very nice pictures with the sea as your only background. When we were there, we saw smashed glass bottles and some other trash, so junkies or homeless people might have been there.

Panagia Paraportiani is a famous Greek Orthodox church located in the town of Mykonos, Greece. It is considered one of the most iconic and photographed churches in the country and is a popular tourist attraction. The name "Panagia Paraportiani" translates to "Our Lady of the Side Gate" in Greek, and it is derived from its location next to the entrance of the medieval castle walls of Mykonos. The church is actually a complex of several chapels that were gradually built over a span of centuries, resulting in its unique and asymmetrical architectural design. The construction of Panagia Paraportiani began in the 14th century and continued for several centuries, with each chapel being added by different builders at different times. The church incorporates elements of various architectural styles, including Byzantine, Venetian, and local Cycladic influences. Its distinct whitewashed exterior stands out against the traditional blue-domed churches that are commonly associated with Greece. Panagia Paraportiani is composed of five small chapels built one on top of the other, with four of them forming the base and the fifth one crowning the structure. The lower chapels are dedicated to Saints Anargyroi, St. Eustathios, and St. Sozon, while the upper chapel, which is the most recognizable part of the church, is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The upper chapel features a beautiful dome and a bell tower, creating a striking silhouette against the backdrop of the Aegean Sea. Inside the church, visitors can admire religious icons, intricate woodwork, and other ornate decorations. The interior exudes a serene and peaceful atmosphere, inviting visitors to pause and reflect. Panagia Paraportiani has become an iconic symbol of Mykonos and is often depicted in postcards, photographs, and artwork. Its unique architectural style and picturesque location make it a must-visit attraction for tourists from all over the world.

Charming church where sunset could be a delight. It’s a picturesque spot with ample amount of hidden treasures. It might get a lot crowded during evenings but there is a lot of space to sit and chill. The walk to this place is just around the corner and it’s a lot less noisy than the little Venice part of the town.

History Museums
The Archaeological Museum of Mykonos, located in Chora, offers a fascinating journey through the island's history. The museum houses a diverse collection of artifacts dating back to the 25th century BC, including urns, funerary art, figurines, and jewelry. Visitors can explore relics that depict Mykonos' tumultuous past and battle-filled history.
4 euros per adult; kids free. Cool little museum with interesting pottery and stories of how things were discovered.
John F — Google review
We went in October, the off season so no lines and plenty of time and space to wander at our leisure. The text panels are in Greek and English. There's plenty of info for what we were looking at. It was a great addition if you do an excursion to Delos island. The person at the desk was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. There are toilets available but they were not the greatest, doesn't matter tho at least they worked.
Katie B — Google review
Wonderful little museum and some very fascinating history on display for Mykonos and the surrounding islands. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was because there was an over abundance of similar exhibits (would be nice to have a little more variety) and the toilets were missing seats in the bathrooms.
Jordan D — Google review
It's a quiet and little museum to be fair. Only costs 4 euros for entry and has lots of items to see, and well worth the time. Beautiful objects of art. Great if you are having a short stay but if you have been to Delos island you might be a little underwhelmed by the museum and what it has to offer.
Derek K — Google review
5€ per person. A nice way to beat the heat for an hour. The current exhibit about the excavation of Delis is very interesting

One of the oldest museum in Greece, built in 1905 to house the discoveries on Rheneia, a small island near Delos and used as a cemetery for the Delians (426 BC). The collection includes pottery, personal artifacts, grave reliefs and all kinds of grave-offerings. One of the most important objects on display is the relief pithos with scenes from the Fall of Troy from the island of Tinos. The entrance is 4 euros and it is open from 8 am to 4 pm. I recommend its visit.
Ana T — Google review
Nice small museum with permanent display of Denos ceramic and other finds and temporary exhibits. Jewelry exhibit during our visit had ancient finds juxtaposed with contemporary designers. An interesting thing was to see in Neolithic case a gold bead and bronze pendant: while Neolithic age is by definition “new stone” it seems metal was beginning to be found...

The Windmills of Mykonos, located at Kato Mili and within walking distance from Mykonos Town, are an iconic feature of the island. Perched on the highest hill, these 16 historic windmills offer a plethora of entertainment options and are a popular spot for capturing stunning sunset views. Seven of these 17th-century windmills have been beautifully restored in the Kato Mili region, providing visitors with a glimpse into their historical significance.
I would say the best viewpoint of Mykonos. We had our hotel just next to it. Witnessed different shades of sky around it during sunset. You can have a great view of the town and little Venice from here as it is quite on an uphill point.
Shubhrangshu M — Google review
We stopped in Mykonos Greece while on a cruise of the Mediterranean. The sight from the sea as our ship approached was unbelievably beautiful. And as we climbed up to the village and walked over to see the windmills, picture perfect views were everywhere. The windmills were beautiful. We took lots of pictures and the found lots of choices for drinks and food.
Perry H — Google review
Beautiful scenery, especially at sunset. While the windmills no longer run, they remain one of Mykonos’ most iconic landmarks. To avoid the crowds, consider visiting during the off-season. There is also private parking nearby.

Breathtaking view. Perfect setting to witness the panoramic view of sunset and the little Venice.
Shubham G — Google review
The windmills of Mykonos are iconic and we went to see them in the morning when it was very quiet. You can walk around the outside of them but you cannot go inside. One in particular is nicely kept as its holiday accommodation but we were surprised that some were in less good condition. The view from here is good and behind the windmills is a lookout area with bench seating.
Cruise L — Google review
Very nice view point in Mykonos and beautiful views! You have to hike up a small hill to get here but it’s okay! Once you’re there it’s very pretty! It was also the most windiest being up higher on the hill rather than the flat main town so be prepared to have everything fly around!
Doris D — Google review
Windmills look , at the end of the season, they probably get a touch-up at the start of the season . They need a little touch-up . Mykonos Town is a small enough town . Pretty white houses , some lovely little lanes between the white house. Coffee is regularly €5 , in the Central part . Some great value to be gotten just away from the centre of town. We got 2 coffees and an almond biscuit cake, and a tasty savoury type roll for €10:50.

M-Eating in Mykonos town is a top-notch restaurant offering a modern twist on regional dishes in a relaxed setting. The attention to detail is evident in the tasteful decor and the flavors presented to diners. Inspired by Greek staples, the menu offers a delightful culinary adventure that can be enjoyed in the small garden or at front tables for some people-watching. The extensive collection of wines and spirits complements the meals perfectly.
A dessert that was totally worth the hype- the “galatopita” or traditional Greek pudding pie. They gave cute chairs overlooking the Main Street(which also makes for a great people-watching spot). Be ready to pay upwards of EUR35/- per person - but this island is expensive! Read more at @the_consultantscookbook on Instagram

My partner and I had the most wonderful dinner here. The waiting staff were attentive, considerate and overall service was impeccable. Now the food, it was easily our best meal in Mykonos. For starters, we ordered the small chicken and Imam. The chicken was well seasoned and very tender and was accompanied by a lovely corn sauce. My partner ordered the Imam and thought it was delightful. Our mains made our evening. The pork tenderloin was velvety, tender with a hint of sweetness. The biggest star on the menu was the sous vide lamb. It was so tender, packed with flavour, and was easily one of the best lamb dishes I’ve ever had. You do not want to miss out on this dish. We were too full for dessert but they were kind enough to treat us to the chef’s special chocolate praline. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Be sure to save some of your espresso martini for this praline because they’re match made in heaven. We enjoyed it so much the staff could easily tell and were so kind to give us 2 more chocolate praline. It was the perfect dinner to a perfect evening. Thank you M-eating we will definitely come back, just for you.

Everything about m-eating is incredible. The tables on the balcony overlooking the little roads of Mykonos make it super authentic. The waiters were incredible and super friendly. And lastly the food was delicious! We got the squid and gazpacho for starters (both incredible) followed by the truffle pasta 🍝. So good, would go back for sure!

Food was delicious, I tried the goat cheese trilogy, ribeye steak and strawberry dessert. Everything was amazing, with great ambiance and excellent service. It is worth visiting again!

Super nice place with an upstairs dining area overlooking the street below. The food is very good and the service is good too. We had lentil soup with prawns, which was great, the onion in phyllo dough, fantastic scallops, a wonderful veal in tomato sauce and the mushroom pasta. Strongly recommended everything but the pasta. The overall experience was great. Drinks are expensive m, as much as some of the food dishes so be careful there!

Delicious! 🤤 Everything that we had was spot on. Nice atmosphere in the garden area too. Pricey enough though. One thing - the white chocolate dessert is very rich and is a massive portion, would suggest getting it for two people.

Really loved this restaurant. Friend took me here as it was boasted to be one of the best restaurants in Mykonos. Service: We had messed up the reservation as we forgot we actually landed in Mykonos a day after we flew out. So we booked it for the day we landed instead of the day after arriving into Mykonos. Anyway. We messed up. We understand they fill up and we took a reservation away, but the chef was accommodating and we managed to still get a table at the far end of the restaurant under a tree. If you get this table, it’s actually perfect for people watching but flowers, leaves and flies, along with cats may visit you during your meal, hence rhe 4 stars :). BUT I am not complaining as we did get a table after the error we made. The staff who took care of us were amazing. One staff was genuinely concerned that we did not like the food when we took a bit long to eat (and to clarify, he was in no way rushing us…my friend and I were just catching up). Food: SO AMAZING. Is all I can say. It was all so clean. I felt full without feeling bloated. I just am not sure what else to say. And the little homemade chocolate at the end *chefs kiss*. Kid-friendly: they have high chairs and a change table in the washroom.

Pretty expensive restaurant (120 eur for 2 people : 2 starters, 1 salad, 2 desserts, 2 glasses of wine); the food is very good, refined dishes and well presented and explained. Staff professional but but not very friendly, a bit posh.... Overall good restaurant if you are on to spend. Nice patio and balcony on a crowded street. Better to book.

Gorgeous place with nice house music. The dishes were really good. Price is a bit expensive comparing to the quantity but the general appreciation is well. Count 70€/pers with appetizer and main dish.

I hadn’t planned on coming here but the trip was extended by a day and it was right next to our hotel so we came for lunch. The vibe was spot on, nothing too loud or excessive, perfect for a family lunch. The food was varied and everything was tasty, no real faults with anything. The sushi and the hummus stood out.

Cute spot for dinner near our resort. We enjoyed the music, drinks & food. The season is just starting so it was empty but I can imagine that they are popular during peak months.
Searra P — Google review
We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant wasn't too crowded but still had a few parties seated. We sat at a table closest to the beach so enjoyed a spectacular view while eating. The food was AMAZING. Everything was fresh, nicely presented and flavorful. The drinks were good, but nothing special. We also enjoyed hookah (shisha) after our meal, which was well made. Only thing is it took some time to get prepared/come out. We ordered the fresh catch of the day, which was a seabass and delicious. The only mistake we made was not asking how many kilos, so we ended up with a huge piece of fish for 3 people that cost 170 euros, which we were not expecting. So definitely clarify before you order! Overall, it was a beautiful place to enjoy a scenic, chill dinner.

Perched above the tranquil Agios Sostis Beach in Mykonos, Kiki's Tavern is a charming and rustic hideaway renowned for its authentic Greek dining experience. The tavern operates without electricity or telephone, adding to its old-school charm. Guests can expect a wait for a table, but complimentary wine and water are offered while they enjoy stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
We went twice - was so good:) It was very pleasant atmosphere, it looks like a family run business. All guys were super attentive and they have not blinked with the eye when I have asked what it's difference between octopus and calamari - I meant the cooking way, not the actual type of species:) The aubergine salad it's to die for, the chicken I had was tender and tasty. The second time we went for fish and chicken tights - again super tasty! Don't skip the salad bar- we went for ot twice and was great choice of local greek food. I have not mentioned the view - again it's a bonus! The only negative comment I would have around calamari - ok, but could be a bit softer. I am already trying to get same aubergine salad at home - it was that good. Recommended of you like less pretentious authentic places.

Kiki Tavern is an amazing spot and an absolute must-visit! It’s not crowded, and the view along with the beach is simply stunning. The standout dish is definitely the pork chop—highly recommended! The stuffed chicken was a little dry and tough, but I appreciated the creative touch of sun-dried tomatoes inside. The octopus was also quite decent. The salad was surprisingly good too. Don’t miss out on their homemade wine—it’s served in a charming little tin cup, which adds a unique and fun touch to the experience. Overall, we had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable time there!

What a special place! The food was incredible. The salad choice was great and the meat and fish were cooked to perfection. You can’t fault the view and atmosphere. You have to queue to get a table, because they don’t take reservations, but it’s all part of the experience.

A true gem on Mykonos island! This Greek style tavern is run by locals, located just above the beach and offers a selection of homemade salads, fresh meat/fish and plenty of other tasty dishes. If crowded, you are offered a glass of wine while you wait. not really sure what I liked better, the view, friendly staff, fresh food, or the cool owner. This experience is what you hope to get on your vacation in Greece;) Also, the prices were reasonable and you can pay with a card. Good options for vegetarians with their salad bar selection. Worth the ride and definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Tasty food, service very friendly prices are reasonable can't complain much about it definitely a recommendation however be prepared for the queue up to 1 hour. While we were waiting we have been offer nice refreshing rose. Perfect view for a dinner and amazing spot further from the centre.

A must. Don't question, just call and get a reservation. What an absolute treat from the gorgeous views to the hospitable staff and the delicious food. The fresh salads are incredible. The pork chop. THE PORK CHOP! A huge plate of flavors. The stuffed chicken is scrumptious, as is the grilled octopus, but make sure to save room for the chocolate cake, which came on the house, which was an amazing surprise. Such a great experience, I forgot to take pictures of the food. Until next time!

Super charming Greek Tavern by the sea that transports you way back in time. Clean, cozy, beautiful place, friendly staff and food to die for. Get ready to queue as no reservations are taken, having said that it is well worth to queue for. Eating under the shade of trees to protect yourself from the scorching Greek Summer Sun, waited by friendly staff. Food so healthy and tasty that adds to the experience. A must try : Marinated Pork Chops (cooked amazingly, no dry at all). Quality / Quantity/ Price ratio very reasonable. A place to come back again and again. You will love it.

Kastro's Restaurant is a charming Mediterranean spot located in the scenic area of Little Venice in Mykonos Town. It offers a laid-back atmosphere with a waterside terrace where guests can enjoy stunning sea views and delicious food. The restaurant is known for its vibrant nightlife, making it popular among people from all over the world who come to experience the lively bar scene and romantic sunsets.
One of the best restaurants in Mykonos. The best view and best food. However, the only problem is that when you are having lunch outside there is a mass of tourists passing by the tables to take pictures of the sunset which is quite annoying. I don’t recommend eating at the front row table as tourists will ask you all the time to take pictures of them and will even put their stuff on your table.
M L — Google review
Great food and the outside experience was great. We had a great time enjoying dinner with a sunset. Outside seating has a minimum, and be prepared for others to walk by for pictures at the restaurant. They don’t close this outside area off and anyone walking the streets will be walking by your table if you do sit outside. Reservation is recommended.

Kastro’s offers stunning views of the ocean and the iconic Windmills of Mykonos, creating a charming seaside setting. The food is full of complex flavors, with dishes featuring buttery, herby, and sweet notes, making for an elevated meal. However, it was one of the most expensive restaurants I visited in Greece, and the portions were small for the price. Plus, the sea bass was a bit dry and the seafood quality varied.
Rachael W — Google review
If I could make it six stars for the atmosphere, id give it. I got the table at the end of the alleyway and it was so awesome as it is adjacent to the sea and it was magical. The food was awesome and the service was great. The lamb was delicious and the lobster special was tasty.

The hype around it is not wrong. Its a stunning place - the view over the sea and windmills, the coffee, the breakfast. All was amazing. And yes, you have to get lucky as it gets touristy and crowded. Fortunately each time we were their the place was mostly empty, so we enjoyed it fully.

Food was unbelievable. Went quite late at night, had to wait 15mins for a table, but sat at the bar and had some drinks so this was fine. Service was really great. A must if you are in Mykonos

People come here for the view, which is amazing, but the food is the real star of the show. I could not have had a better experience here. I did not make a reservation because I was only one person and I went early (18:30), but you should definitely reserve a table. They were able to seat me inside, and the space has a great atmosphere. The service was absolutely top-notch. They even offered to make me half-portions of salads and appetizers so I could try a few different things. Every course was even better than the previous one! And the wine pairings, excellent. I have been to Mykonos a number of times, and this is by far the best meal I have had there. In fact, this was one of the best meals I have had in Greece!
Elizabeth B — Google review
This was my favorite restaurant during our our Greek vacation. We stopped in for a late lunch while walking around town. When we first came in, all the balconies were taken, but before we got our food, a balcony became available. We asked our server, and he was friendly and accommodating and allowed us to move, and it made this meal! It felt like we were on the water, and the backdrop of the famous windmills took the views to the next level. Started with some beers, ordered the truffle pasta and chicken, and ended with the baklava dessert. All were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely fantastic. This spot is a must visit on Myknonos. This is right next to the oldest church on the island and from the outside the door to the restaurant is inconspicuous. You could walk right by if you're not actively looking for it. Like much of the island, there is no parking near the restaurant so you'll have to park and walk through town, but it's completely worth it! Already recommended the spot to family and friends visiting.

Koursaros Restaurant in Mykonos Town offers a stylish and trendy dining experience with an expansive patio, creating a wonderful setting reminiscent of a Corsairs ship. The restaurant is located in the heart of Mykonos, just a short distance from Little Venice. With over 20 years of experience, Koursaros promises an unforgettable dining experience with authentic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, focusing on fresh fish and seafood.
Last weekend, I visited Koursaros restaurant , a delightful Greek restaurant in the heart of the chora Mykonos downtown , for a family dinner. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a traditional Greek decor featuring white colors, charming murals of Mykonos , and soft Greek music playing in the background. The crowd was a mix of families and couples, adding to the restaurant's lively yet cozy atmosphere. The service was exceptional. Our waiter, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent recommendations and ensured our needs were promptly met. Is moderately priced, the quality of the food and the exceptional service make it a great value for money. Overall, provided a fantastic dining experience. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine. I highly recommend trying!!

Koursaros Restaurant in Mykonos offers a dining experience where the quality of the food truly justifies the cost. While some might initially see it as a little pricey, the exceptional culinary delights confirm that you indeed get what you pay for. Every dish served, including the standout sea urchin on bread, is flawlessly executed and simply amazing. The restaurant itself boasts a wonderful, upscale, modern ambiance, and the service is equally spectacular. I've shared photos to showcase the exquisite dishes we ordered for our group of 14. After reading other reviews, I felt it necessary to emphasize that the prices are not just about luxury—they accurately reflect the top-tier food and experience you receive.

Excellent cuisine in a lively cool and full of positive vibes courtyard. The staff had an excellent approach with the meter Christos above everything . they were by our side to explain in detail the ingredients of each dish and to suggest the appropriate wine. The music took you on a journey both in Greece and in international bands.

The water is weirdly expensive, so is the wine, but at least it tastes good. Surprisingly even though we ordered dishes that didn't contain big portions we ended up enjoying the food and actually felt full after finishing. The staff were wonderful, the design as well. If you are looking for a high quality, high price place for dinner this is the one. If the water was priced correctly the score would be 5 stars.

The waitress was so attentive and nice! We really enjoyed our dinner. The place got lively at night and people were dancing ! Such a fun time.
