Restaurant
Caterer
Nestled in the charming town of Jonesborough, Main Street Cafe & Catering is a delightful eatery housed in a historic 1930s post office building. With its stunning pressed-tin ceiling, elegant globe lamps, and warm oak hardwood floors, the cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating that perfectly captures the area's quaint ambiance. Since its establishment in 1982 by a dedicated husband-and-wife duo, it has evolved into a beloved local spot now run by their son and daughter-in-law.
The restaurant was clean and had a great view of downtown Historical Jonesborough. They offer professional and wonderful hospitality and knowledgeable, friendly staff. They also serve great food. There is public parking.

Just love this cafe!! Atmosphere is beyond cozy and comfortable. Always bustling and always super friendly, hard-working staff (thank you!) I always order the hot veggie sandwich which is served on buttered Texas toast👍 I switched out chips for their broccoli/cranberry salad, which was yummy. Husband ordered the 1st Avenue Chicken Salad. It was very tasty. Maybe a little more lettuce, it didn't look very full. Will return again for sure!

Great restaurant in the cutest small town of Jonesboro TN. Down home, friendly service with the most delicious food. If you haven’t been, it needs to be on your list to try.

I am not local but had to write a review any way because of my great experience. Super friendly staff, good portion food, and they offered to make an off the menu kids meal (sliced avocado and chicken) for my toddler. Perfect happy little lunch spot.

I used Main Street Cafe & Catering for my daughter's wedding. What an amazing experience. I don't even know where to begin. From the first contact until the end of the ceremony the communication was outstanding. The professionalism shown by all was exceptional. The food was absolute perfection as well as the beautiful wedding cake they made. The set up was perfect and the attendants that came were so polite and kind. They helped to make the wedding a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend to anyone. We had several allergies relating to the bride and groom and a few guests. They were most careful with that and even made the bride her own special plate.

Love the place and also my soup. I got the creamy potato soup and I shared with my husband the turkey bacon sandwich. I didn't get to use the bathroom my husband said the bathrooms are very clean. Ambiance and everything is all 5*

It's so wonderful there. This has been our saturday ritual because the food is amazing, the staff are very nice, and the music is perfect. I highly recommend the perfect combination of tomato bisque and "the big cheese."

Love this place! It's definitely a really special spot on Main Street. The father and sons who run this store are so friendly. They've built such an amazing cafe, with incredible food! The desserts are so rich, and for the affordable prices you'll feel like you've just eaten at an upscale restaurant - only with a cozy feel. Honestly, I prefer this place over all of the nice ones around town.

Italian restaurant
On a Saturday evening, around 7pm, there was an expected wait of approximately 15 minutes at The Black Olive, an Italian restaurant. As an appetizer, garlic knots were ordered but did not arrive alongside the food. After requesting to remove them from the bill, the waitress apologized for her mistake and brought hot knots without charging for them. Apart from this mishap, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
This place never disappoints! The food is always hot and delicious, the service is great, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The portions are generous, and prices aren't bad either. I've tried several things on their menu (all were good) but one of my favorites is the Chicken Alfredo with Zoodles, lots of cracked pepper and parmesan on top...SO yummy! One of the waitresses makes the gluten-free carrot cake on the menu and she convinced my friend and I to try a piece. It was big enough to share, but after the first bite, I'm glad we didn't. lol It was wonderful! I'm very happy to have this place nearby, and I can't wait to go again.😋

Alfredo sauce tastes like it came from a jar. Cheese tortellini is very bland. The meal was disappointing. When you walk in and only see older people eating you know that the food isn't going to be seasoned. The only thing with flavor was the garlic knots. I did take my left overs home and gave it one more chance. I must say the second day was much better.

One of the best eggplant Parmesan I’ve ever had. Great attentive service as well. My apologies I ate half of my Parmesan before I took a picture. I had plenty to take home for dinner. Side patio with a little fountain that I did not get a good picture of either. I think I’ll have to get me a calzone tomorrow on my way out of town! Excellent

I'm an older lady I ordered the Italian nachos. The nachos were good, the sauce was good.. BUT . I ORDERED THE SAUSAGE and chicken, the sausage was TOOOOO hot and there were too many! Also TOOOOO many banana peppers . As I'm older I can't eat the hot stuff.. all I'm saying is don't order the sausage and no or a few banana peppers, I had to send it back

We had a party of 11 people for a birthday dinner. Our waitress was phenomenal! She took our orders and made suggestions without writing down a single thing but never missed a detail! She was also gracious enough to take a family photo for us😁.The food was so delicious, probably the best Italian I have ever eaten. That is why we drive nearly an hour to eat there. Always delicious ❤️.

I took a friend out for her bday and she chose this place. I hadn’t ever been. It was amazing. I got the loaded Philly steak. Went back on Monday got the pizza.

We went to The Black Olive for a very late lunch on Sunday with another couple. All of us walked in with established "gold standards" from our favorite places. We started with their Italian Garlic knots and...well, let me tell you, the first bite is all it took! These fresh made doughy delights are doused in a mouthwatering garlic butter sauce and served with a generous serving of their homemade marinara sauce. We were now very excited to receive our main courses - and like the Garlic Knots - they did not disappoint!! The Black Olive's Special and Meat Lasagne were both top shelf with a perfect blend of meat, sauce and spices - and the portions were so large the guys couldn't finish more than half! Us gals ordered the Penne with Clam Sauce and Shrimp and the Spicy Shrimp & Chicken - both were exceptionally delicious with a pleasing balance of pasta and proteins! Nick was our server - he was very nice, paced drinks, appetizer and main courses very well and kept our glasses full. He also gave us excellent recommendations, although I have this idea that The Black Olive has taken the time to curate a menu of exclusively their best offerings! Yep. We are now all TEAM BLACK OLIVE...the new gold standard for Italian dining!!

What a wonderful experience! I come from an Italian family, and I know what Italian is supposed to taste like. THIS IS IT. First and foremost, if you walk in to an Italian restaurant and see Italians eating there, you know you’re in the right place. The service was outstanding. Our server was so sweet, attentive and pleasant. You can tell she enjoys working here. The food was excellent! Garlic knots are a must try. I got the spicy bow tie chicken pasta and loved everything about it. The sauce had the perfect amount of thickness. All I’ve got to say is, if heaven had an Italian restaurant, it would be this one.

Tex-Mex restaurant
Burrito restaurant
Nestled in Tennessee's oldest town, Texas Burritos & More offers a delightful taste of Tejano cuisine and Tex-Mex favorites that will tantalize your palate. This charming eatery has been serving up family recipes for over 50 years, thanks to the dedicated efforts of a Texan mother-daughter duo who have owned it since 2018.
Great lunch menu now for only $6. Several choices. Food is excellent, as is the service. Support local restaurants so they may continue to serve us. Also love their complimentary chips and salsa--both excellent in my opinion. I like less salt, warm, and thin. Salsa is always homemade and yummy.

This is a hidden gem with a choice of authentic Mexican or American Southwestern Food . I enjoy eating at little known restaurants that I like to call gems . And this place is definitely one of those! Delicious food and quiet atmosphere. Super friendly waitress also very informative about the menu. Check out the photos and go try it! I thought the entire experience was great.

One of our favorite places for lunch or dinner in Jonesborough. Lovely waitstaff and great Tex-Mex Food. Absolutely favorite dishes are the shrimp tacos and the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas! Full bar is a plus!

This is a delightful surprise tucked away behind Main St. in scenic, historic Jonesborough, TN. They have some of the best salsa and chips, along with an option for a dip trio as an appetizer, which I highly recommend. The service was wonderful, and our generous portions of food came out quickly. Would definitely come here again.

Omg! I built my own burrito and I'll say it again! OMG! The flavor of the steak comes through the filling of rice, beans, cheese, onion, and lettuce. It's like a flavor party. So damn good! It's probably one of the best IF not the best steak burritos that I've ever had! The service is great as well! Very attentive and knowledgeable! I found another great place to bring family and friends when they visit! 😋 #supportlocalbusiness #eatlocal

Our first time visiting. Our waitress was awesome, she was very friendly, she took care of us well. The place was cute and the atmosphere was nice. The chips and salsa were good, and the ground beef with queso was good. I had the enchiladas, and they were ok good. My husband had some kind of chili bowl that tasted like if it was seasoned with one of those el paso seasoning from a taco box. That was a little disappointing.
Madeline M — Google review
We sat at the bar, we had a great time. I ordered the veggie tacos, my son ordered the shrimp burrito. I had a whiskey sour which was delicious. It was very clean and great service ☺️🙏🏻
Stephanie R — Google review
Located in a cute little town with tons of character. The drinks were fantastic and a great price at only $3. Service was very friendly. Chips and salsa very tasty. Food was disappointing. Enchiladas were greasy and lukewarm. Steak tacos - just don’t order those. Tortillas were not edible. Steak was very low quality. Will Keep this in our back pocket for just drinks and chips.

Coffee shop
Nestled in the historic heart of Jonesborough, TN, The Corner Cup is a delightful coffee shop that beckons visitors with its warm and inviting atmosphere. With an array of offerings including hot and iced coffees, cold brews, espresso drinks, and a selection of teas, this charming spot is perfect for any caffeine lover. Don't miss out on their freshly baked local goods or the delectable sweet and savory crepes from Krazy Krepes available Thursday through Saturday.
Super cute lil cafe! So calm! We got a cinnamon muffin, a cold brew and a latte, everything was GOOD! Been here twice in two weeks and going back for sure :)

5 stars for the amazing coffee, but 1 star for their hours. Closes at 3pm, fairly early for a cafe! However, shop may be closed earlier. There were many other patrons who were interested in getting refreshments at 2pm this day, only to find they had closed at 1pm. Recommend calling prior to visiting, to ensure they are open. Coffee is delicious ☕

I really love a coffee shop, but even more so on a cold day, so I decided to try The Corner Cup out on a 30F Sunday. I really do like the atmosphere here; with its two toned paint, miss matched table and chairs, and reclaimed wood counter. It just has the vibes of an eccentric safe haven. The baked goods where amazing! The three of us orders strawberry scones, fresh out of the oven, and they where so good we all ordered another each after we where done (although I tired the cheddar bacon the second time around) They where soft and flavorful the way they should be. Halfway between a cookie and a biscuit, perfect. My only gripe was the coffee itself. Anyone can make a cup of plain black coffee at home….but mixed drinks are the bread and butter of a coffee shop. Both the Mocha and the Cappuccino where good, but the added flavors where overpowering. Chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut….these should be undertones that bring out the best in the coffee, not overwhelm it. Felt like someone handed me a hot chocolate. Overall, great experience. Will be back, but not in my tops for sure.

No menu anywhere. Which is fine if you actually had one online. Don't have that either. Basic coffee shop, poor customer service. Not inviting at all. Do you WANT new business? Doesn't seem like it. Get a drink menu.

Love this spot. So glad we have a great coffee shop in Jonesborough.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Jonesborough, The Corner Cup has recently reopened after renovation. This kitchy little coffee shop possesses a vintage charm showcasing a full-size 1940's Whitman's Chocolate refrigerator display cabinet with neatly folded merch for sale. Their menu is replete with brunchy food items, yummy scones, and a nice variety of Java based beverages. However, be aware seating is very limited and it can get quite loud, so depending on the current clientele, a quiet conversation may not be possible. An outside table also provides extra optional seating, weather permitting.

It was our first time into Corner Cup So we took our time soaking in the lovely and cozy feel of downtown Jomesbourgh .. which the Corner Cup’s aesthetic fit right in! The seating area was totally separate from where you order which I really appreciated, plus they had a cutesy little seating area outside that I enjoyed. The menu was detailed with various different selections so you had many options! The baristas were really nice and were following social distancing with proper hand washing done in front of us. They were patient with us as it was our first time in and thankfully we went when there wasn’t any other customers. My coffee was amazing, it was a coconut caramel extra shot hot latte and my fiancé ordered a caramel macchiato which was also good! They had little bottles of syrups and all kinds of branded merchandise etc for sale and it wasn’t crazy expensive so we browsed and I definitely had to have a sticker! My only regret is we didn’t order any of the bakery food items so I don’t have any feedback on it but I can tell you it looked and smelled good! If you are in the area I do recommend them highly as the whole experience was pleasant... quality service, products, and affordable! I’m sure when we are back in the area again that we will return!

The lattes are excellent and while they no longer have crepes, they do have yummy breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

Food & Drink
Nestled in the historic town of Jonesborough, Tennessee Hills Distillery offers a unique experience for visitors. Housed in a building dating back to the 1840s, this distillery provides small-batch, hand-bottled spirits that are a must-try. The venue also features an eatery serving incredible pub grub and cocktails in rustic surroundings. Visitors can take a tour of the former salt house turned distillery and sample their creations while learning about the production process.
This is by far our favorite place in Jonesborough! The owners have updated the beautiful historic Salt building in keeping with the architectural design! Our favorite bourbon is the purple label wine barrel aged! Bartenders are so friendly, informative and accommodating! Dog friendly, fun bingo nights and scrumptious drinks!

Beautiful and stunning new brewery and distillery tucked in amongst a large shopping and entertainment complex in Bristol, Tennessee. Less than 1 mile from Interstate 81 in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

Last time in TN, this staple was being built. This time, we were lucky enough to get to experience this amazing one of a kind distillery, and it was amazing! Cameron greeted us and gave us an amazing tasting. He was so incredibly knowledgeable about not only the bottle he was pouring but also the history of how it all came to be. All 14 bottles they had available for sampling were out of this world. Can't wait to come back. Thanks Cameron!

Even though we feel like we come here all the time, we found a fresh face in Noah, our “bar tender”, and he was amazing! The tasting never disappoints! We highly recommend this place to all our friends, any visitors and anyone on their way into town. We love this place and will keep this on our list of things to do in the tri cities area!

I went into Distiller's Dinner: A Crafted Experience with Americano Steakhouse's Chef Troy not really knowing what to expect and left completely blown away. From the start, the warmth and hospitality were undeniable—the cocktail hour was inviting and set such a great tone for the night. Then came dinner, and wow—it was phenomenal. The food was delicious, and every detail of the experience felt thoughtful and well-executed. If I had one small critique, it would be having a few more servers during dinner, but honestly, that didn’t take away from how amazing the night was. It was such a memorable experience, and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.

What a beautiful venue with an outstanding staff. You can sit outdoors or indoors with awesome views. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the options and extremely helpful. It is also fun to get a tour of the facility and learn how they create all the enjoyable delights. We enjoyed wonderful drinks and excellent bar food. We came home with a few bottles to enjoy with friends and also an great sweatshirt.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the free tasting. This distillery clearly takes its craft seriously and the quality is superior to many “top shelf” national brands. The Bourbon of course was fantastic; I was most surprised at the Run selection though. I’d have been a terrible pirate 🏴‍☠️ as am not a rum fan; but we both really enjoyed each of the rum samples. We walk out with quite a bit of product and might visit this town again just to stop here.
