We had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. We wanted a great experience with a fish menu, and that's exactly what we got. For starters, we had a traditional shrimp saganaki, which was the best we've ever had. Every dish was meticulously prepared and had something extraordinary. The flavors were marked by truly excellent seasoning. For the main course, we had the best swordfish and grilled sardines, which we must admit are the best dishes we've had on the island. The staff was really sweet and service-minded. We highly recommend this place!

Best pulled pork burger on the island. If you visit Molyvos and miss eating in Misirlou it's a loss for you my friends.

Perfect pit-stop. Us foolish brits went for a wander in the heat of the day. So Misirlou was the perfect place to stop for a snack and plenty of refreshment. Some lovely outdoor seating overlooking the coastline!

Misirlou is a burger lover’s paradise! The burgers are juicy and flavorful. Generous portions include perfectly seasoned fries (maybe the best I have ever had) ensuring great value. The warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff enhance the dining experience. Is a must-visit!

Fabulous Middle Eastern restaurant in Molyvos. They know how to cook/season food here. Everything was delicious. And wonderful views to look at too. My favourite food in Molyvos. We came here as half our party are vegetarian and this menu has more vegetarian options than a lot of the local Greek restaurants. So wished we had come earlier in the week so we could come here twice, it was that good. Between us we had the Falafel wraps and a Chicken Caesar salad with some fries on the side. The falafel were a good size and super tasty, and the fries divine and as good as any I’ve ever had. My husband said the Chicken Caesar was the nicest he’d ever had. The balcony is a wonderful place to sit although it was full when we arrived so we sat in the lower area which was also lovely, so no complaints. Two of my daughters had cocktails and they were very happy with them and they looked great.

An Italian-Greek-Turkish style place to enjoy something different that you can not find anywhere else in Molivos. Delicius plates in a wonderfull atmosphere. Tasteful cocktails with an incredible view. Very friendly personell and excellent service. When you visit Molivos don't miss this place. Tip: try pulled pork with frenchfries. 100 % recommended 👌

A place built on appetizers. Most of the people serving are young, we couldn't see the "Captain" 😅. All of the appetizers were very good, we loved the Ladotiri saganaki and mushrooms. The octopus was a little salty for us. It is useful to go with a reservation. Prices are average compared to the area.

Captain's Table Restaurant is a true gem! The food, atmosphere, and service are all amazing. Run by two young owners, a Greek and a French, this place brings a unique and delightful experience. It's a good idea to book a table for dinner because it gets quite busy fast. My favorite dish was the king prawn – absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend going and trying it for yourself!

Went here twice during my stay. Both times, my group had amazing service from the staff and very nice food. The position of the restaurant in the port is quite nice, making it cooler on hot days. I personally recommend their fried calamari which, to my surprise, wasn't chewy. The one plate that stood out to me the most was the pastas La Mer, which were very nice and had prepared prawns (perfect for those who feel uneasy preparing them themselves). The dessert they served was also delicious. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Our Molyvos experience would not be complete, if we didn’t have this dinner at The Captain’s Table. The food was the best so far in Lesvos, the view and friendliness of the staff made it very special!

What a fabulous place this is - just the best location in Molyvos and the best food. Traditional meze all cooked to perfection. So good we went twice and can’t wait to return.

Excellent dinner On the menu, they advertise as being gluten free, lactose free and also VEGAN friendly….which they are!! The servers were really helpful with dietary requirements. Along with with being traditional Greek and in a fab setting, it’s nice to see a restaurant trying to be more dietary aware. I will be back 😊

My recent visit to the Captain’s Table was an exceptional experience and left a great impression. The staff were very friendly and attentive, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. I especially loved the meze concept, which allowed sampling through a variety of dishes and flavors that the greek cuisine has to offer in very good prices. The spinach croquets and the meatballs were super delicious and I loved the Aujuka! For those seeking a place that combines authentic greek vibes, excellent service, delicious food and great value, the Captain’s table shouldn’t be missed!

Very pleasant experience. The waitress was funny, sympathetic and kind. The food was brought fast and was outstanding. We had greek salad and wine leaves as a starter. For the main we had Lamb chops, Stifado, and Biftekia. If you’re still not full you don’t have to worry about dessert as they give you a pudding I’d definitely recommend the lamb chops and baklava. Thank you for the experience. We are looking forward to our next visit here!

A great little taverna serving very good traditional food with a few little twists. The restaurant is in a small square under a large plane tree, a little up the hill from the main tourist streets but well worth the extra few minutes walk. We ate here twice over the course of our week's holiday in Molyvos, once for dinner and once for lunch on our last day. We had the beans, aubergine, anchovies and aubergine dip, as well as the octopus in red wine, lamb with plums, sardines, and the stifado. All of the food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Probably some of the best food we had while in Lesbos. The service here is very friendly and the staff were happy to share recommendations for food and drink (and also to tell us when we were maybe ordering too much food!). The prices are very reasonable and comparable to the other restaurants in Molyvos, both times we ate here we had a two starters and two mains as well as a couple of drinks and the bill came to just under €40. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in town!

We just spent a month all over Greece and this was our family’s absolute favorite restaurant. We ate there 3 times during our week on the island and every time was incredible. The ambience is SO romantic and sweet, perfectly situated in the most picturesque little square, and the food is home cooked, fresh and so authentic. Taxia (owner) and her husband cooked and served the most delicious lamb chops, lamb with plum sauce, loukaniko (sausage), pork souvlaki, lemon chicken with potatoes, etc. Taxia made an effort to get to know our family, taught us about ouzo and how to properly drink it. She also gave us tips on the islands best and most hidden beach spots. DEFINITELY make a reservation if you’re hoping to dine in the evening - it fills up!! We have the best memories at this special place and will most definitely come back to Lesvos and to this gem of a restaurant.

I can describe the food with just one word: amazing. However what is even more amazing is that the people. Taxia is an incredible woman for sure, and maybe kind of like a superwoman. She literally understood what we needed even before we say it. The rest of the staff is also immensely friendly and helpful. I really loved the ambiance being like a patio between stone houses and trees. Also felt really local. This was a restaurant that makes me want to visit Molivos and go there one more time with my loved ones. Definetly would choose for my next vidit to have a nicr dinner.

Typically uninspired. I ordered the signature dishes, chicken Tropicana and it was literally dry fried chiefly with fries. No effort at all. Zero inspiration. At least the cocktail was a full shot.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The view was stunning. Well worth the wait for the best table in the restaurant. Thank you to the restaurant for their hospitality and attentiveness. The best dish by far was the mixed Greek starter for two. It was huge. It was also a lovely touch that they gave us free cake at the end. Out of the two weeks we were here, the food was one of the best meals we had in Lesvos. The price was also one of the most reasonable too. This is a popular restaurant so you must book ahead to avoid disappointment.

The cosy restaurant has a great view on both side. What makes this restaurant even more special is its commitment to supporting women and local communities. Last but not least it can be very difficult to find a place without a reservation. Therefore, a reservation in advance is a must.

Delicious food and super friendly service. Really recommend for an authentic Greek meal. We dined with a large group twice and everyone agreed it was the best restaurant of our trip. Would definitely come back if we go back to Lesvos. Top dish was the mixed platter of starters.

Quick and delicious. We ordered Starter Mixed, Octopus and Kalamar. It was enough for two people.

Good value, lovely atmosphere and pretty restaurant with lots of flowers and comfy seating. It’s above Cantina bar and shop so not easy to find and probably worth booking to guarantee a seat, especially if you would like to be seated at the front with sea and sunset view. We ate quite early on our first night so just turned up. So we were seated on the back balcony but we managed to get the last available table so we were happy to get one at all and it’s still a lovely seating area. We ate there a 2nd time and reserved a balcony table with lovely view. Food was delicious and everyone very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Traditional Greek restaurant situated upstairs above Kantina cafe. Beautiful views across Petra from the balconies. Advisable to book as it gets very busy. Lovely food, very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Well worth visiting.
