Thai restaurant
Thai Street Cafe is a street food eatery in Thailand that serves traditional dishes, complete meals, and cocktails. The service is speedy, while the food is delicious. The beef in their signature dish, beef massaman, is incredibly tender with small portions of fat that enhance its taste. Although it may be slightly salty at first, the flavor becomes more balanced as you continue to eat.
Eaten here a few times and it’s always been delicious. Highly recommend the beef massaman curry, it’s creamy and rich and perfect!

Very fresh Thai food! Not the best I’ve had but definitely still delicious and we recommend! Hubby got pad siew and I got Singapore noodles! The vegetables were hearty but there was hardly any sauce. And the tofu had no taste, like it was just thrown with the stir fry at the last minute. Still delicious for a quick bite.

I have been to Thailand 3 times and had many Thai food but this is the BEST! I really appreciate the real Thai taste. That green curry is amazing and pad Thai was great but a bit sweet to me. I assumed it’s always busy since we weren’t about to have dinner without reservations but luckily we were able to dine in.

We went right before lunch closing and the chef was kind enough to let us stay and order! The food was so amazing 2 days later we came back for dinner. The space is a complete vibe! I love the colors of furniture and the bar is gorgeous! Singapore Noodles, Duck Curry, and Stir Fry

Ordered a take away so cannot comment on the service or atmosphere. The food was probably the worst Thai I have had. The chicken was like rubber with the consistency of tofu and has definitely come in pre cut and frozen. The taste of the panang sauce was nice just unfortunately the pad ka pao was extremely salty and not much flavour. Would not order again because of this.

Great food and nice staff. Their lunch menu is really cheap for such good food. The servers were very accommodating too. Thank you!

Haven’t been here for ages for one reason or another. However it was a Thursday, and our daughter was having a sleepover with friends so date night it was! As ever the food was fantastic, portion size was just right, and spice levels were spot-on. Service was brilliant, very attentive, polite, and professional. There was a mistake with my wife’s drink, and this is rectified without any issues whatsoever.

Our new favourite local, Such a lovely restaurant, the food is absolutely spot on, I used to work in a Thai restaurant many years ago so I could tell that this is very authentic. Extremely tasty, friendly staff, will be coming here a lot more in the future I’m sure. The only little niggle I have is that the tables are quite close together so you don’t get much privacy dining.

The restaurant shines on Sundays with its all-you-can-eat menu, which has become quite popular among locals and visitors alike.
Incredible food, very tasty and very good value for money. Always a favourite

I could only take a picture of an empty plate, as that’s how good the food is here. I would definitely come back just for the food and service. I had a starter fish cakes & sweetcorn fritters outstanding. The mains was a very nice portion and so tasty I have no lips left from licking them so much. 10/10 well done to the chef and service.

Absolutely delicious food! Wide range of dishes and the staff are so helpful and warm. Will return and I have already recommended this place to family and friends!💗

Walked in without a reservation shortly after the restaurant opened on a Wednesday evening and the upstairs dining room was already almost full. Some of the pictures on Google Maps are deceptive, there are 20 covers upstairs and a further 20 downstairs and the place is clearly popular so advised to reserve. The staff are very attentive and with customary Thai welcomes and humble service we were treated to lovely food, efficiently served in a pleasant environment. It was also competitively priced. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to visit again when in Newmarket.

Thank you to the Kho bkhun Thai team for helping me organise a lovely private meal for a 30th celebration. They went above and beyond to help make it a really special occasion.

Lovely little place. Quick response to online booking in confirming the table. We were the only guests on arrival at 7.30pm, but others soon joined. Amazing curry dishes - the prawn Thai curry was incredible! Service was excellent, setting cute and felt relaxed. The guy in front of house could have been a little warmer and made a better impression and welcome, it felt out of place to the great service and food otherwise. The only point for improvement, would certainly return. Thank you for having us.

Indian restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a culinary adventure, Montaz is the place to be! This sleek restaurant specializes in Northern Indian and Punjabi dishes, blending authentic recipes with modern cooking techniques. The atmosphere is contemporary yet inviting, making it perfect for a cozy dinner or a special occasion.
Went in on spec. as it was the only Indian restaurant I could find in Newmarket that was not a takeaway counter with a few tables placed inside the door. What a good find. The meal was excellent, the menu included items other than your usual Indian fare. The staff were polite and attentive. I'll be visiting again next time I'm in the area.

Extremely overpriced restaurant. Went in with very high hopes after hearing good things but was very disappointed. We ordered the house speciality slow cooked beef cheeks. The menu said they had been cooked for 22 hours but the reality was that they tasted like they had been cooked to order. I have never had such a tough piece of meat. I've cooked beef cheeks for 4-5 hours and they fell apart. I couldn't even get a knife through the these. They exchanged for a lamb dish which was ok but not worthy of the price. All in all, not a great experience and unlikely to return

Monday night service was excellent and the food is some of the best Indian food I have tasted.

Place is nice and well presented. Menu different to the indians i tend to go to. The food game fast enough after poppedom starter. good quality and enjoyed. Main - ordered jalfrezi extra hot, burnt ginger and chilli rice. Garlic nan. Honestly it wasnt the best curry i have had looked the part but all dishes lacked in flavour for me. Nan was light and looked amazing just lacked the garlic taste. Filled a hole but just needed abit of spice and a stronger flavour and would have been great. Wouldnt return im afraid as the prices are on upper end and lacked the flavour.

Family restaurant
Ormonde Table Table is a stylish chain pub in Cambridgeshire that offers classic international favorites, grilled dishes, and burgers. The menu features great-value grills and mouth-watering desserts like Chocolate Layer Torte and Black Forest Sundae. Guests have praised the friendly staff, with special mentions for manager Janis and waiter Dermot for their excellent service. The cozy atmosphere on New Year's Eve made for a delightful dining experience, with delicious food and reasonable prices.
We went out for Breakfast yesterday morning with a couple of friends and we couldn't have had a better experience. Janis greeted us on arrival and showed us to our table and showed Excellent customer service throughout the breakfast. Leanne was also fantastic waitress, she served with a smile throughout and was lovely and friendly, great banter as well. Would thoroughly recommend to others

Came here for Christmas Day , just didn’t have Christmas atmosphere , not one member of staff wished us a happy Christmas. Food was disappointing, sprouts were not fresh , but tasted like frozen ones . Seemed food had been cooked in advance and reheated !! Service was rushed . Sadly won’t come again at Christmas time
Tots — Google review
Five family members went to table table for a evening meal first to be told six different meals weren't available and no rice to go with a currys if ordered. From ordering to service 1hour twenty minutes steaks were poor quality with large amounts of gristle. Pie and mash pie was streaming hot mash was lukewarm. Second time we have been disappointed they won't be a third .

This is a little unassuming restaurant in the middle of Newmarket. Ever since the pandemic the restaurants in Newmarket have declined terribly. In the 5 years I have been in Newmarket this was the first time I have been and I was presently surprised. The staff are friendly and courteous which is surprisingly rare these days and the food is pretty good. I had scampi and chips and mushy peas which was really nice. I had a sundae for desert which was good. On my second visit I had the roast beef which was good and was a large portion. You can get extra if you are hungry and brave. The roast dinner came in at £9...... I have been disappointed on subsequent visits though having to wait ages for mediocre food.

The Tack Room at Palace House is a versatile dining spot that offers seasonal and local dishes, along with an extensive wine and cocktail selection. In the heart of town, visitors can also explore other dining options such as The Pantry for all-day dining, Unico for Italian cuisine, and Turkoman for traditional Turkish fare. Additionally, Cortado is recommended for top-notch coffee and artisanal bakes.
Came here with a friend and my hubby for lunch. We had booked a table inside but it was such a beautiful day that we asked to be seated outside...no problem! What can I say about this place except wow! The food and atmosphere is standout. Lots of people ... so clearly a popular place to have food...and when the food came I could see why. I flip flopped between the flatbreads (all sounded lovely), but went for the chicken (hubster went for steak). It was so good...but what was equally good was the side salad. Really tasty and lots of care paid...and it showed. I will 100% be back...we talked about it being a great venue for a girly lunch, but also talked about taking my 80 year old pa there and a quick walk round the museum. Looking forward to my next visit.

The sausages look so gorgeous!! (I just heard that Newmarket is a famous spot for sausage making). I really appreciate the cream cheese on the side so I can control how much to add. The citrus mascarpone isn’t too heavy. One of the lighter main dishes. Nice space. Friendly service. Quite pricy for the simple food.

I'm leaving a review after my third time here. The food is always good, but the Sunday roast was amazing (in my photos chicken and lamb). We also liked the full English breakfast, and the service is always very attentive and nice.

Too expensive for what it is. There are better places around. Service was ok. £15.50 for salmon open sandwich is a rip off for the basic food with poor presentation

Last Saturday we had the privilege of a second-to-none dining and wine pairing experience. Paul Winchester, the owner, and Rob from Corney and Barrow pulled off a mean feat combining wines with each of the melt-in-your-mouth five-courses (six, including the amuse bouche). Champion of champions mein host Paul, and his team of attentive and charming servers (special mention to Adonis Giogros) did the chefs' Michelin-standard dishes proud. Corney and Barrow of Newmarket's Rob, a self-confessed wine geek, provided valuable insight on the wines, patiently taking time out at each table. Our table had a perfect view of the National Horseracing Museum's retired racehorses quizzically poking their heads out of their boxes simply added to the magic. Worth the trip up from London. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

👍 I visited this restaurant in the middle of July 2022. Very friendly staff and delicious hamburgers and beer were all perfect. The tour of the horse racing museum is interesting. I arrived in London after flying for 13 hours from Seoul, South Korea. I drove for an hour and a half and went to New Market for the first time. It was a beautiful place.

I visited here for breakfast recently with a friend I hadn’t seen for a while, we wanted to go somewhere really special to have a proper catch up. We had been here for little over an hour and half when the waitress came over and told us and the people next to us we all needed to leave as people would be coming in for lunch soon and they’d need the tables back. It was still early and the Restaraunt was empty, we were completely confused. I’m a local and have never been told to leave a restaurant in Newmarket before, let alone at breakfast under such relaxed circumstances. You’d expect this on Kensington High Street but not here it sounded ridiculous. Will go elsewhere in future.

Travelling through Newmarket we chose The Tack Room for Sunday lunch, and so glad we did, what a find. The roast beef lunch was exceptional, service was attentive and what a wonderful setting. We had not heard about the museum next door before our arrival but after lunch did the tour, meeting the retired racehorses. Lovely way to spend the Easter bank holiday. Would recommend and definitely like to return one day.
