Babbacombe Model Village is a popular attraction in Torquay, offering visitors a chance to feel like giants as they explore 4 acres of miniature houses, vehicles, and people. Since 1963, this village has been showcasing over 400 models representing British life and culture from the past 50 years. The meticulously crafted exhibits include animated scenes and well-known landmarks such as Stonehenge and London's Shard.
Great day out we spent just under 3 hours here. Crazy golf is included. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. I really like the humor n the history of where it started. So much detail and love creates such a place. The fact it's dog friendly as well is a bonus although we didn't take the dogs just gor other reasons..
Simon B — Google review
Such a fun place for young and old. The model village is amazing, made in great detail and good sense of humor (make sure to read little signs on the model buildings and take your time looking through details)
Aylara M — Google review
Lovely attraction! If you’re in the area you must come here. No queue when we came in Easter Holidays. Great weather. Staff friendly and has some beautiful and funny displays. Mini golf is a great addition. New attractions currently being made also. Food was good and parking ample in adjacent pay and display. EV charging works a treat.
J D — Google review
What a wonderful model village! We had no wait to get in, but I know it can be busy during the summer as it is very popular. It is slightly more on the expensive side for an attraction like this, however there is a lot to see! There are so many new models since the last time I went in 2021, and they are very well made. There is so many little details to see while you're wandering around. There is now a crazy golf mini course at the half way point which is a great added new feature! I'd say it's definitely worth a visit if you have older children who will appreciate the finer little details involved, and won't want to run ahead and miss the intricate funny parts! The village is on a steep hill, so if you have mobility issues it may not be for you, however it is doable with a pushchair... but a child that age probably won't get the full appreciation of the attraction. Overall, we really enjoyed the visit, especially as we went on an illuminations night. The free return within 7 days is great too, and makes it even more worth while.
Kelly G — Google review
Amazing model village which is clearly maintained with loving care and changed/updated all the time. The entry fee was more than I expected but was worth it for everything inside, including the indoor parts and mini golf. The cafe was good value.
Ollie F — Google review
Lovely afternoon spent at the model village. We arrived around 2:30pm which worked really well because the Christmas lights gradually came on while we were there. The addition of the lights and extra characters etc. for Christmas really made it feel magical. Crazy Golf is a nice bonus because you don't have to pay extra. All the models are incredibly well made and decorated, with lots of details and humour to spot on the way around. The various spotter trails also kept our youngest going as the rest of us spent time ambling round. My only niggle is that £69 seems like a lot of money for two hours entertainment for the family. But to be fair, many attractions are at least this much now.
Musty M — Google review
Came here as a child, visited today probably 25 years later. Better than I remember, whilst a £20 entry fee initially seems steep, it's worth it. So much attention to detail and immaculately kept. We had a great time!
Dan G — Google review
Lovely model village so much attention to detail. We went during the Easter school holidays, I was expecting it to be busier however there was a steady stream of people in the 3 hours that we spent there ( I had trouble getting my son to leave, he loved it). We brought our own packed lunch, there are seats to take a break and toilets half way round the tour. We didn't use the cafe. I did find it pricey £19.95 adult price and £15.95 for children aged 3-15. If you live in Devon then you can claim a 25% discount.

Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, located just over a mile from Torquay Harbour, offers an immersive experience for families with kids' activities, tours, and a large restaurant. The site is renowned for its impressive stalagmites and stalactites. Visitors can explore a woodland trail featuring information about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, as well as a Stone Age zone where they can uncover artifacts and learn survival skills from ancient times.
Excellent visit to the caverns today with Simon, our very informative, enlightening and amusing tour guide! The tour was taken at a good pace to accommodate both young and old visitors. We explored the amazing geology accompanied by narration of the historic human and animal life that occupied the caves for millions of years! The woodland walk adds outdoor cave life to contrast the cave dwelling. Certainly an interesting place to visit for the whole family. Pay and display parking is on-site (£3 for 4 hours) with reserved spaces for blue badge holders. Accessible ramps up/down hill take you to the visitor centre and run throughout the cave tour, although some of the connecting caverns are narrow, alternative routes can accommodate chair/stick access.

This was a good few hours out. Very educational and the guide made it quite amusing. There is a small gift shop and cafe at the end. I would recommend wearing a coat as you get dripped on in the cave and it can get a little cold.
Tanya F — Google review
Was lovely. Had a lovely tour guide who sounded both theatrical, eloquent and performative all to the highest degree of praise. It was more “cavey” than expected. We Loved it.

Really good experience. The tour was very well done the perfect balance of being informative and fun.

What a brilliant find this was! My daughter and I have been coming to Devon for years but had not heard of the caves before. It was a very interesting and special place to visit, some of the sites are quite spectacular. My daughter has limited mobility but managed to plod around the caves quite happily. James (who is now an Elk!😉) was our fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and made the talks very entertaining as well as fun. 5/5✨️James! We had coffee and cake in the lovely cafe afterwards, thanks to the nice ladies serving.
Zoe T — Google review
Fantastic place to visit. James, our tour guide, was wonderful - very funny, very knowledgeable and a lovely chap. Would recommend a trip here.

Wonderful experience! Go back to the history of how our ancestors evolved and survived. Beautifully guided- like a story being told 😇

Very nice 1 hour experience. James the tour guide made it very fun and nice. It’s exactly what you pay for, you get to look at some caves and learn their history. Enjoyed it very much. Little shop inside is cute. There’s also a cafe which is decent with a nice outdoor area too.

Located on Babbacombe Road, just a short walk from the harbor and town center clocktower, Torquay Museum is a grand Victorian museum showcasing local history and artifacts. The museum boasts diverse collections covering natural and social history, ceramics, archaeology, and ancient Egypt.
Excellent customer care team and the museum looks small outside but it’s big inside-interesting. Also, the ticket is £11 but can be use all year round. Toilet available and cleaned relaxing environment.

Good and informative displays. Loved the "I grew up in the 90s" display, took me back. Learned something new. Staff member I dealt with at the till was very pleasant. Only downside is it's quite small. The fact your ticket lasts for a whole year is great
Graham — Google review
Cool museum not just coasting on the Agatha Christie exhibition- which is the highlight of the museum. The d-day exhibition is worth a look as well as the explorers section
Sarah — Google review
Quite boring for the cost of admission. Displays are very basic and honestly have nothing to do with the history of Torquay or Devon for that matter. Charles Darwin and Agatha Christie display was probably the best, however still displayed poorly. I’d pass on this attraction.
Jason S — Google review
A really nice place. Our guide Mr.King was very popular with the kids. Interesting 1 hour. Nice café inside. Right in front of the museum there is a lovely park where you can sit and relax.
Irena H — Google review
Enjoyed our visit. When we paid our ticket, it became a year's free entry also.
Sha — Google review
We visited the museum because they had curated and LGBTQ+ 'trail' through the various rooms and displays. You had to look for a QR code to read about the LGBTQ+ connection with the exhibit. There was also a fact sheet if using the QR code was a problem. The museum is probably the best local history museum I have visite and it was enhanced by the LGBTQ+ trail which is a permanent feature.

Such an eclectic collection which would interest all ages. Neat and well maintained. Floors can be accessed either by stairs or elevators. The museum shop is nice too.

Torre Abbey, established in 1196, offers a fascinating journey through 800 years of history within its historic building and 7-acre gardens. The site showcases the life of a medieval monastery, its dissolution by Henry VIII, and its transformation into a museum and art gallery. The collection includes over 600 works from the 18th century to the present day, featuring pieces by renowned artists such as Holman Hunt and Burne-Jones.
+ It was great learning more about the history of the Abbey. A lot of work has already been done and more is underway in restoring it. We loved the amount of interaction in the various exhibitions. The garden is of a reasonable size and offers lots of different plants with more coming in the near future? If you're interested in history, you should definitely visit the abbey.
Danny — Google review
Actually quite a bit more to this museum than I thought. The exhibits covered the wide history of the Abbey, long after it became home. They had a fair modern displays as well. The gardens are a bonus to see.
Tom ( — Google review
The museum has interesting interactive information about the abbey's history. Within the outdoor grounds are remnants of the old Abbey. Some garden areas with a variety of plants & shrubs. Also large glasshouse with tropical trees & other plants. A good way to spend a couple of hours.
Steve D — Google review
Just round the corner from my hotel - great for an hour or two in the middle of the day when you need a break - Food van outside do lovely food and drink service (Abbey Refreshments close-by is also good for a quick snack). Being externally renovated at the moment, so there is scaffolding over part of the building - but it looks like it will be worth it in the long-run, to secure the future of the property.
Christophee — Google review
There's something for all ages here with impressive sculptures and paintings plus child friendly exhibitions.
Alex B — Google review
Interesting place to visit, but you only need two hours including looking round gardens. Gardens are well kept and have plenty of seating to stop and enjoy the scenery. The museum is well presented with lots of interactive information. pleasant staff and small gift shop. You can get food and drink here.
Jane S — Google review
Torquey is hilly, let me start with that! Torre Abbey is rather picturesque, despite the restoration scaffolding on part of the building (April 2024). The Abbey has a lot of history and some lovely paintings. They also wheelchair lifts built into the Abbey so definitely accessible to all. The greenhouses are beautiful with some really pretty plants, succulents and cactus.
Chantel H — Google review
Torre Abbey is very interesting place, catering for adults and children, absolutely full of history. It's all explained and simple to understand, so you don't feel you are over loaded with information and you are left to explore at your own leisure, well worth a visit. I must mention the grounds are beautiful, well stocked with flowers/plants, very colourful, ( being different, depending on Season of visit). There is also a wonderful greenhouse, full of eczotic plants from around world, also a few surprise snakes!!, made me jump until I realised they were furry stuffed ones!!. It is very relaxing sitting outside in the garden weather permitting.

Cockington Country Park in Torquay is a charming estate featuring well-maintained gardens, expansive parkland, and lush woodlands. The 450-acre park encompasses three lovely lakes, a historic manor house with craft studios, and a picturesque village with thatched cottages and a quaint church. Visitors can explore the area on foot or by bike using the network of paths and bridleways.
Beautiful English countryside village that is well worth a visit. We’ve visited a number of times, the country park itself offers stunning rolling landscapes, a cafe with ample indoor and outdoor seating, a host of arts and crafts shops, where you can watch skilled crafts people create prior to buying their goods. We came away with a stunning glass bowl for a very reasonable price. The cafe offers numerous options, most of which are available in gluten free and as a vegetarian I had ample choices. If you want to bring your dogs along, they’re welcome too, there’s plenty of space to let them run free and lots of water stations for their needs. The cafe also caters for our four legged family members, after all, why should they miss out whilst we munch on a cream tea.
James M — Google review
A relaxing environment for blowing away the cobwebs and getting out into nature. We like that we can sit when we want, and walk when we want. Parking and toilet facilities are close so you don't have to worry. If you don't want to go in the car, you can walk from Torquay sea front if you want. A nice pub, a few cafes and small businesses to support. Take a picnic and get the children outside for a run around. Dog friendly too. It's a chocolate box village and you go back in time with thatched cottages and quiet lanes. Go see for yourself as much more to see than I can say. I saw a Kingfisher today on the lake.
Helen G — Google review
Picturesque little village very close to Torbay. Worth walking a bit further way from the craft shops to the 3 interconnected ponds known as the lakes.

Lovely walk with the dog. Nice little lakes. Interesting thatched cottages and the shops have different souvenirs. Craft centre is worth a visit especially the Forge.
Pauline S — Google review
Great place to go for a walk in the woods around the house. Some walks are suitable for all abilities, but some are more difficult. Cafe is good and serves a selection of drinks and cakes. Ice creams as well. Lots of local artizan shops with some interesting locally made items.

Cockington Village, I got to via the water meadows walk. Beautiful. Bus stop livermead hotel walk up Cockington Lane. At the bus stop for no 62, from Torquay, there's a gate to walking the meadows. Dog walking friendly and loved the village. Visitor centre was not open no notice saying why.
Penny H — Google review
It's hard to believe but just a few minutes walk from the centre there is a village where time stopped. Many of the cottages dating back to the 16th Century. Cockington Country Park it's a 450 acres of garden landscapes, open parkland, rural countryside and large woodland with three pretty lakes an historic Manor House with craft centre and studios and a quaint 11th Century church. Park has five walking routes that vary in distance. The whole estate and surrounding area is dog friendly. Dog friendly is also ice cream parlour located in a historic and beautifully restored mill.
Tom G — Google review
Busy but beautiful. Cafe in Cockington Court isn’t cheap but worth it for the surroundings. The little church is enchanting and well worth a visit. Plenty of parking available and the craft area is worth a visit too.

Seafood restaurant
No 7 Fish Bistro & Wine Bar is a charming seafood restaurant located in the heart of Torquay, offering stunning harbor views and a delightful dining experience. The menu features an extensive selection of fish dishes, including daily specials and locally caught seafood. Guests can enjoy the unpretentious and convivial atmosphere with wood floors, colorful wall tiles, and maritime decor. The owner, Paul, personally presents a tray of freshly caught fish for diners to choose from before describing various cooking options.
Everything is special about this place. The food is exceptional, the service is brilliant and the drinks are amazing. The mussels scallops and prawns that are cooked in the garlic butter were to die for. I could have drunk the garlic butter by the pint. The monkfish was some of the best I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection. They also had a white port spritz… wow! Possibly the most refreshing and moreish drink. The whole experience was amazing. It is expensive, but when the service, food and drinks are as good as this, you would happily pay more!

The view from the wine bar is spectacular and the vast selection of wines on offer is amazing. It’s a pity that the food didn’t hit the mark. The fish was well cooked but flavourless whilst the sides were average.

Had a meal at No 7 last night, cracking restaurant, the staff are lovely, they know about the food and drinks they are serving, nothing is too much trouble. The food is AMAZING.....really can't wait to go back.

If fish is your thing, no:7 is the place. Great food and lovely staff. I dined here with 2 friends and my OH. They had whole crab and Dover sole, as a non fish eater, I had chicken. Everything was cooked exquisitely and presented well. For pudding, I had creme brulee, which I think was one of the best I've had. Throughly recommend, a lovely evening out.
Chris B — Google review
My partner and I are staying in Torquay for a few days and No7 was highly recommended to us. We were told it would be hard to get a booking as the place was normally busy but by chance we arrived and another booking hadn't shown up, straight away were greeted and seated, the place had a nice atmosphere and the staff were all attentive and professional, we had a tray of foods that are being cooked bought over to the table to show what they have and the freshness. The food was outstanding and full of flavour plus the portion sizes were perfect. We highly recommend this place to anyone interested in finding a fish restaurant as No7 is definitely a contender for the top, if not the best I've found so far.
Zebb J — Google review
The scallops were so plump, fresh, deliciously & perfectly cooked. We had them whole served with a vermouth & herb sauce & vegetables. Spicy rhubarb creme brulee absolutely delicious with a perfect crisp sugar topping, also the brandy snap with ice cream & amaretto is a dream. Amazing selection of wines & starters too. Highly knowledgeable, helpful, professional staff. I love this restaurant

I haven’t been to number 7 for about 10 years. I finally returned and I was not disappointed. Oysters were amazing, tempura prawn superb and the 3 fish special was incredible. These kind of places are so rare in this day and age…

Regularly-changing menu of British and European fare made from seasonal produce.
This was not our first visit and in fact we dined there twice in the last week. Not especially cheap but a three course meal with wine worked out at about £80 each but well worth it. The amazing food together with attentive service makes the Orange Tree the place to spend a leisurely evening meal and we will certainly be returning each time we are back in Torquay. Seek out this gem and see for yourselves. You’ll not be disappointed.

This was a great place to visit. All the food delicious and beautifully presented. Staff and owner were very attentive and we wasn't left wanting for anything. It was my wife's birthday and and we booked last minute. We would happily visit again any day and will next time we visit the area
Tr3v — Google review
After reading some of the poor reviews we still decided to visit The Orange Tree 7/2/2025 on recommendation from a friend. We were greeted warmly by a lovely polite & pleasant host. We were the only guests there & couldn't understand why but the service was excellent in between courses & the waitress was very attentive & informative. The goats cheese starter with beetroot & a raisin puree was very good & just enough. The sea bass, a little oily, but on the whole was fine tasting. The vegetables were really spot on & colourful as they should be when cooked correctly. The roast potatoes were more like chips but were a bit soggy & the potato dauphinoise was a little dry but eatable. My husband had the chicken supreme & a he doesn't eat much, he devoured this along with the creamy sauce & said he enjoyed it very much. The creme brulee was delicious, along with the shortcake biscuit & all in all the meal was a pleasant experience with the champagne along with the the complimentary lemoncello tot at the end. I know what I am talking about regarding the food as I 'am' qualified as a teacher of catering. The only real disappointment I had was the toilet which really 'does' let the place down & is badly in need of refurbishment pronto!! Hopefully the next time we visit this should have been carried out.
Jean H — Google review
Food was absolutely amazing! Did the tester menu at £95 each and it was excellent up to the main. Arrived at 7pm All dishes came out in a very reasonable time with wine to match. Then at 8pm we seemed to have been forgotten about we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for desert, we queried it a few times and just got "we'll check that for you" it took so long that we ended up asking for the bill and leaving before being able to try the desert. I personally don't think waiting over an hour for your last dish is acceptable. So food was excellent, customer service and time keeping very unsatisfactory. If the last dish (desert) had come as quick as all the other dishes, we would have stayed for drinks after. But we had another booking at 9.30pm which we were half hour late for.
Cryptnito — Google review
The food yet again was phenomenal. The only slight criticism is that I wasn't keen on the wine you get with the taster menu(the red wine and port) and would of liked two bits of bread with the parfait. I only gave a 4 star on the atmosphere because it was a really quiet Saturday night and there was only a small amount of customers in. The people are so lovely as well!
Charlotte H — Google review
Was the worst tasting menu I have ever had. Was looking forward to going there for a special occasion . Thought I'd have the taster menu which I expected would showcase the best the chef had to offer. I was bitterly dissapointed . The bench mark was set low with industrial part baked bread rolls. Better are to be had a hundred yards down the road at the local supermarket the coop . 2 big bowls of soup were served which I thought was a bit heavy for a taster menu. The 2 slices of duck breast were a little dry .the presentation was fair enough although a bit dated by today's standards with decoration consisting of flowers and pea shoots. The main course (beef)was stuck to the plate although the taste was good .the sauce had been reduced so much that it was like super glue (not that I've tried eating super glue) I over heard someone else in the restaurant complaining that the meat was stuck to the plate. The vegetables were very poor and poorly presented for this particular menu. The beans were very underdone not even cooked to al dente and the dauphinoise potatoes the driest I've ever had. For pudding they had run out of what was mentioned on the taster menu so my freind had a melange of whatever was left over. I had the cheeseboard this was nicely presented . Came with olives although unless I was prepared to pick them out with my fingers no cutlery was offered . As far as decor is concerned quite intimate although dated. But the carpet was noticeably sticky underfoot not so good. When it came to the bill no discount was offered and in fact I could hear the chef complaining that I had underpaid by £100 . This was not the case .the waitress collected the credit card to process leaving the cash on the table .I heard her calming him down assuring him the balance was on the table. (Not really a discussion you want to be hearing ) the front of house manager said that they had a problem with the ovens which is why the bread rolls were poor. However a week later freinds visited and were given the same rolls so makes you wonder ? I thought this was a Michelin star recommended restaurant. I might be mistaken 🤔 there are other restaurants near by charging maybe a nominal amount more for a taster menu but so much better and worth the extra. Needless to say I won't be returning. I really think that if they didn't have the provisions in place they should have simply warned us at the beginning and asked us to choose from the al a carte instead. . Also I paid £10 more than the price advertised without explanation.

Rockfish is a sustainable seafood restaurant located on England's seafood coast. Situated by the sea and waterside, it specializes in serving fresh local and sustainable seafood. The fish is carefully selected each day at the market, prepared by skilled fishmongers on the harborside, and delivered to the restaurants every morning. The menu features classic seafood dishes such as dressed crab, oysters, prawns, and traditional fish and chips.
If you’re looking for a great seafood spot, Rockfish in Torque is a solid choice. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the seafood is fresh and well prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right.

This place is amazing! The food is incredible, we ordered a few dishes to try and it was so good that we went back the next day for more! We were a bit worried about some of the reviews but went anyway and we are glad we did. We had an amazing dinner, service was very good and the food fresh and very tasty. We both cook a lot and definitely value fresh and quality produce. I love that the scallops where handpicked. Some reviews had complaints about the chips - they may not be what some people had in mind as chips but they where fresh, crispy chips. All in all I would definitely recommend it when you like quality seafood and are prepared to pay the value. I would definitely go again.

Restaurant
Nestled by the yacht club and marina, The Elephant Restaurant is a culinary gem that offers two distinct dining experiences. On the ground floor, you’ll find a relaxed brasserie atmosphere where you can savor wholesome dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients. For those seeking something more refined, head upstairs to the Michelin-starred dining room, where an exquisite tasting menu awaits. Here, seafood fresh from the English Channel takes center stage alongside carefully selected wines that elevate each dish.
Came here for a birthday meal with my 10 year old son. What an amazing experience. The food was out of this world. We had the set lunch. And what amazing value that is. The flavours are unreal. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the service is second to none. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make the whole experience really worthwhile. Had the lunchtime tasting menu. Superb value for money and some really good cooking. The stand-out dish for me was the makeral tartar. If I were to make any comment on the food, it would be that the stone bass lacked an acidic component. The service was good and attentive without being obsequious.

This was indisputably the highlight of my weekend getaway to Torquay and something my companion and I were looking forward to when visiting. We went for the tasting menu accompanied by the wine pairing, and there was no doubt that produce used was top notch. However, the overall menu felt a bit safe, and we both agreed we would have loved to see a bit more creativity with the flavour profiles of the courses. But that being said, the food was great, as you would expect. With that being said, it was a bit disappointing that the white wine (which were the main pairing, seeing as we were by the seaside) was chilled to the degree of loosing most of its flavours and having close to no finish, making for a pretty flat tasting experience. Although warming it in our hands once served helped and made for a great pairing, it still felt a bit disappointing (we contemplated in hindsight whether it was intentional done to better suit local preferences); we mentioned this upon leaving, which was received very appreciatively and professionally. Finally, the service left a little to be desire. The madam greetings us when we entered was absolutely fantastic, but throughout service, the younger servers gave an impression of being a bit uptight and formulaic; only reciting what they had been trained with from a cue card, and when we asked any follow-up questions, they had to leave us in order to check what the right answer was. In short, a good evening that just fell short of being great based on our expectations when sitting down. However, the ice cider and beef dish were phenomenal!

An amazing restaurant with superb food. The tasting menu is very good indeed and the wine flight was very well selected. That said, the Crab dish is out of this world!

We went here on a rainy evening for our wedding anniversary and were lucky enough to be given a window seat. Staff were very friendly and took our coats before showing us to our table, with an anniversary card from the staff which was a lovely touch. Nothing was too much trouble, water and wines glasses were refilled regularly from bottles on the table, even napkins were folded whilst at the loo. The food was amazing, especially the beef. We also opted for the petite bouche and Limoncello Spritz as extra starters, so glad we did as both were lovely. It was a great evening and will definitely return to try the lunch or a la carte menus.

Michelin star dining on the Riviera. The English Riviera ,that is. A relaxed friendly restaurant overlooking the beautiful Torquay harbour. Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy, it was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star in 2006. Which it has retained every year since then and you can see why. They offer ever changing menus based around fresh, local and sustainable ingredients. It's also known as offering the best value Michelin starred lunch in the UK,£32.50 for two courses. But we are not here for that, as it's the evening. At dinner there's options for a set two or three course. Or the tasting menu, which we chose £98.50. We started with a couple of Aperitifs of the month. Port & Tonic and Limoncello Spritz. The meal starts with Sourdough and a pretty Citrus butter & sesame hummus. This was quickly devoured and we were offered a second helping. Then starts a procession of beautifully plated dishes. With each one surpassing the previous. All our favourite seafood, scallops, bbq lobster and stone bass. The star of the show was juicy tender South Devon Beef served with Artichoke and Tacos on the side. The cheese course was Baron Bigod with a delightful Lemon Tyme Focaccia & strawberry, apricot chutney. Pre-dessert of Raspberry granita. A plum lemon posset for the finale. As we gaze out of the window from our table at the sunset you could be anywhere exotic. Well we were,The English Riviera. Dining at a lovely restaurant in a beautiful location. With exceptional service and the most devine food. What more could you ask for?

Pub
Large country pub with thatched roof, dark wood panelled floor and an inventive menu of pub food.
I love a good country pub and this is definitely one. Polite and friendly staff. The prices were OK for a very captive audience not able to go elsewhere. Very dog 🐕 friendly with a cool little dog bar 🍻. Very nice to see a compendium of pub games to play too and to top it off a lovely open fire. We didn't get to eat any food but what we could see looked very good.

Beautiful place, loved the inside interior and was lovely done up for Christmas. We were sat in the restaurant near the fire which was lovely. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We had the festive menu, me and my husband both had the pate for starters which was lovely, I then had the steak and venison pie with veg and mash, absolutely stunning and my husband had the pork which was also amazing. We both had the apple and mince pie crumble for dessert, wow it was gorgeous. The best meal out we have had out in years. We will definitely be returning the next time we stay in Devon.

Visited here today whilst on holiday with friends, and had the most excellent and delicious meals. Service was with a smile and very prompt. Just the right gap between courses. Very dog friendly, our dogs were well catered for with treats and water. Highly recommended

Visited today for Sunday roast, service was absolutely amazing. The pub is lovely and clean, great menu choice for a Sunday, not just roasts available. The warm scotch egg was delicous, The trio of meats was lovely, the only criticism was the roast potato's were incredibly tough to cut and so was the pork belly that was not part of the trio of meats, the Cauliflower cheese was quite hard too but very tasty. The mini pudding was amazing as well, the crumble was lovely and hot and the honeycombe bomb was heavenly! Will definitely visit again!
