Definitely wear comfortable shoes, some roads and stones are slippery and dangerous to walk. It would be better if there is a QR code on the information about the objects, which can be easily scanned and calmly read or hear the information, because there is a long queue to read the information. Some places are under reconstruction, I would like to know this information before coming, I would like to visit when it is completely restored.

We highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing water, as the terrain is somewhat rocky and can be slippery in places. The site was quite popular, especially around the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena, which contributed to a vibrant atmosphere. The breathtaking views from the top make the visit well worth it. Although the ascent appears quite steep from the ground, well-designed pathways ensured gradually ascending so we did not feel overly tired. Our exploration of the Acropolis and its slopes took approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. After exiting the Acropolis, we took a walkway around and descended the staircase to Plakas, where we paused for coffee and refreshments—an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

When we got here it was lightly raining and therefore no one was here. We walked all around the place and saw everything without anyone bothering us. The ticket is decent price and the lady at the booth asked us if we were sure due to rain. We had lots of fun.

The Parthenon is the centerpiece of the Acropolis and a must-see in Athens. In order to make the most of it, we bought tickets in advance, in the off season (March), and the earlier time of the day. We arrived early and were one of the first to enter. We went past all the other sites and headed straight for the Parthenon, so we could enjoy it before the rest of the groups arrived. We were really glad we approached it this way. We got to enjoy the site with only a few others for the first 5-10 min, and after that the busy crowds began. The Parthenon exceeded expectations - which is saying something. It is such an impressive structure and each side offers unique views and perspectives. Take the time to enjoy it before seeing the rest of the site. We also found it beneficial to visit the Acropolis museum afterwards. Their top floor has many of the original pieces, along with a view of the Parthenon itself. They are arranged in the same position, with size and shape to scale. A great follow up to seeing the building here.

Everyone's favourite ruin. You climb the Acropolis hill to see but you can't get very close owing to the building site. So much reconstruction is needed to this important building. Good place to view cranes and scaffolding.

Definitely buy tickets ahead of time to beat the line at the entrance. We went almost immediately to the third floor to see what is essentially a replica of the Parthenon. It was amazing! Then we meandered again through the first floor. It is definitely worth seeing! We were going to skip it, and then we were told by several people that it was not to be missed, and they were all correct!

Highly recommend, especially before visiting the Acropolis itself. We went at about 5pm and there was no queue and the museum was nice and quiet. The museum was very informative and had many beautiful sculptures. They offer a free audio guide if you bring your own headphones which we didn’t do as we weren’t aware. Do spend time reading the information on the signs in the museum as they’re very interesting - they are written in Greek and English. They also have a video on the 3rd floor too which puts the layout of the acropolis itself into visuals and I kind of wish we saw this first. There is a terrace cafe on the 2nd floor with a beautiful view of the acropolis too. You can’t take photos inside. Worth the money. You should do this!

Even if you're not an expert in Greek history or mythology - alas, like I am - a visit to this museum is a very enriching experience. Sure, you can stand by each statue or ornament and read or listen all about it, but there really is no need if you're no freak of the subject. You can depict several and generally admire the rest, and leave with utmost satisfaction. Avail yourself for 1.5 - 2 hours for it, including enjoying the Acropolis view from the upper floor. Oh, and buy tickets online if you can. In our case it would have saved us some 20 minutes.

A state of the art museum- glass floors revealing layers of ancient archeology below, the fine marble art of the Athenians displayed in profusion, with a dramatic backdrop of the Acropolis everpresent. I didn't get to see it when I visited Athens last year, and I'm so glad I was able to squeeze this in on a layover this time. What a magnificent culture!

A very well done museum. A vast and quality collection of history of the city, region, people and significant locations. I really enjoyed how this was curated as even with larger crowds it didn’t feel cramped and allowed you to enjoy and take in all the site. To be able to fully take in everything you would need a lot of hours or multiple days to wander and explore. This was a a great experience and a must stop for anyone visiting the city.

The museum is well managed. It has wide collection from Greek, Roman to Egyptian. You will need 4-5 hours for a detailed tour. Free voice guides are available inside the museum but everything is displayed in great detail. The basement floor has WC and a small garden cafe with few sculpture, fresco and wall art. See, learn, do not touch anything and clicking picture without flash is allowed in all museums.

Wonderful and must see. I spent 4 hours inside and still rushed through the upper floor. There is so much to see. The layout is great. The explanation is top notch. The artifacts are extraordinary. TIP: They will tell you to download the app for guidance. It will work if you use your fast data. But if you don’t have data, ask them for the audio guide, it’s free. The audio guide is excellent.

Great place to see many historic things. They sort relics by time, region and cultures. You can see many iconic relics and statues that you have seen before in history books. The only thing that makes us disappointed is there are many areas where are prohibited to enter. I don’t know why(they don’t explain why that area is closed). I think 20% of area is closed. But still a lot to see. You must visit here! Much better than Acropolis Museum.

Great and very big museum about Greek history&archeology. Lot of exponents here and very nicely made texts describing their time/contex. If you are planning to read the texts here I would plan 3hours here. We planned 2 hours for this museum and didn’t have time to see it all.

In a bit of a sorry state for my visit. This museum is looking very tired compared to the acropolis museum and is in need of refurbishment. Additionally, anything related to Alexander the Great was on loan to a Chinese museum which was irritating. The golden mask of Agamemnon was the highlight but for some strange reason they have it displayed with the front door directly behind you as you look at it, meaning photos are ruined by harsh reflections from the sun. The mens bathrooms were in a dire state and the gift shop was closed for renovation which is good that it's being improved but if they like money they should probably have a stall or some coin vending machines or something! Not to moan too much there is still a lot to see but I just think it could be so much better.

One of the finest museum collections I have ever had the priviledge of visiting. A definite must-see when visiting Athens. The employees are friendly, the cafeteria is excellent. Only the museum shop was closed (Sunday). I highly recommend it.

Very large fortress with great views all around. Unfortunately, there is not that much information about the fortress and it's history while you visit it. Would have been nice to have some information boards. Also, be prepared to walk on the scorching sun with basically no shade. There is a restroom at the entrance but you have to pay 50 cents.

Wish we had gone a little bit earlier in the day. But we managed to finish the ground tour. Beautifully preserved. Would have liked to know what the different bunkers were for, as we left guessing. The lady at the gates was also fluent in English. I sadly dropped my leaflet in the toilets as we were leaving the grounds, maybe there was more information there?

The fortress is absolutely amazing and the view from the walls is great. Tickets are 5 €. There is a small kiosk with really decent prices (50 ct for water) and a tasty iced coffee (2,20 €). The explanation boards are completely weathered, though and it is impossible to learn anything about the history of this place. I used Wikipedia instead.

Theres a variety of old building and you feel like you’re lost in a forgotten world for a moment here and there. There is no one around. Entry is cheap. There’s very few rules or barriers and they let you go around anywhere you like. In all those ways this the exact opposite of the Acropolis. Oh, and there’s a few cats kicking around. The fortress is a lovely way to spend an hour or two. If only someone opened a wine bar here 🤔

Anyone visiting Rethymnon should definitely take a look at this Venetian fortress. From up there you have a beautiful view of Rethymnon and the sea.

Pro - the location is perfect, right in the old town with easy access to the beaches, restaurants and bars, and all major attractions. The room I stayed in, I3, with courtyard view, has the necessary accommodations for a trip - fridge, mini oven, iron, hairdrier, washing machine. The bed was comfortable. Stella, the hostess, was very nice and understanding. Con - I was anxious when I read in 2 other reviews that the air conditioner from the room next door is noisy, and I was hoping this was an overstatement. Unfortunately, it was an understatement. Room 3 does not have a noise canceling window, and the air conditioner from the room next door is extremely noisy (imagine a helicoper noise all night long). When I signaled this issue, the owner called some technicians that sprayed the machines with water, which has nothing to do with the root cause, these should be replaced. I did manage to get used to the noise, as I slept with ear buds and a pillow on my head, but I need to be honest and warn others, especially if you are light sleepers.

Very peacefull monastery, since its inland, its not hit by a toursim heavily ,we met only few people there during the beginning of main season. Lots of space for parking,accessible toilets. Cheap entrance and the area of the monastery is very quiet. Lots of roaming cats and also alot of items displayed inside the monastery. Lovely trip.

What a place. While it has a very beautiful scenery, it has a devestating story. Make sure to visit its small museum to read about what happened here as it really made us quiet.. Worth a visit!

Maybe the most important monastary in Kreta. You learn a lot about the freedomfighters. But better you read some wiki-articles first, to be prepaired and have time to look around and explore the grounds.

After three times visiting this monastery, it still is a remarkable place. Even or four year old daughter impressed, and showed great interest in this place. The restaurants Verde serve local yogurt with honey is also worth it well too since for a couple of minutes and enjoy the delicious local yogurt.

We went a few days ago (in March) to visit the monastery. I honestly didn't expect a lot but I was surprised how calm and beautiful this place is. The outside looks old/rustic but they renovated many of the interiors so you can get a feeling how it was back in the days. You can visit the main church, another smaller church, the dining area, the kitchen area and a little cell which was used from the monks, the museum and the gallery. Would definitely recommend going there for a day trip!

What a beautiful place, despite the tragedy that took place in November 1866, which is of Greek legend. Such tranquility, despite all the visitors. The outer edge of the courtyard is planted with dozens of rose bushes, and lots were out in flower, their scent filled the air. Upon arrival, there is a large car park and some free (and very clean) toilets. Once you arrive at the main entrance, you can purchase your tickets, only €4 per adult. There are a number of maps available in different languages, which will aid your guide around the monastery. The church in the centre of the courtyard is a wonder of architecture and historic delight inside. There are different rooms you can access around the courtyard, each displaying many different items. I especially liked the church vestments, which were still bright, colourful and unique with gold embroidery, despite their age. Once you have circumnavigated the courtyard, you can visit the ossary, which is across the carpark. We visited on a Monday, at around 11am, and the carpark had around 12 coaches parked up. These held mainly school children, who were all very polite as they moved around, but we did have a couple of occasions, where we had to wait for them all to come out of a room, before we could go in. I'd suggest maybe going after lunch if you want to avoid this.

BEAUTIFUL location but very windy. Overall a great view and also the gift shop was well priced compared to the acropolis. Not much around other than this and not much there to describe the lore of the location and what caused the damage significance of this holy location.

Rented a car to get there. Highly recommend that way instead of doing a tour. Cost for us was about 50€ total including fuel, and you get a scenic drive along the coast, get to stop at view points and choose a nice local restaurant along the way to eat. It wasn't overcrowded, however we were there in February. Even though it was very warm during the day, we put on multiple layers there because of the wind!

The sunset tour was gorgeous. It was a little overcast during our time there, but the views were still immaculate. Would highly recommend! 👍🏼 Also, the restaurant near the site had amazing service and food options.

One of my favorite temples to visit in Greece. The remains of the temple combined with the setting make it a fantastic place to visit. Absolutely worth the excursion out of Athens. Taking the coastal route to get there ensures gorgeous scenery along the way to round out a wonderful day from start to finish.

It has amazing views of the sea, the structure itself is quite nice to behold. It stands on a cliff so you can see it from a far. We rented a car to go there from the city center, it's a very scenic drive, with beautiful views.

Cool views. There is also a really good souvenir shop on the property. The parking is tricky, but you can look around a second time. I believe it was 10 euros a person, we didn't pay that, we just as close as we could a snapped a picture.

Beautiful site by the sea. We went with a tour bus and had 90 minutes here which is more than enough. Worth the 3hr round trip! The queue for washrooms can get very long, there is another washroom by the gift shop (go down hill from the restaurant)

Insanely beautiful place with white cliffs and clearest blue waters. Accessible by renting a speed boat, which are very easy to drive and waters are calm. Very serene waters with lots of fish to snorkel around.

Kleftiko is straight-up unreal. You hop off the boat, and bam—you’re surrounded by these crazy white cliffs and crystal-clear waters that look like something out of a movie. The vibes here are next-level chill, and the water? Seriously, it’s like swimming in liquid glass. What makes Kleftiko extra cool is all the little caves and tunnels you can swim through. You feel like a total explorer, and some spots are perfect for a cheeky cliff jump if you're feeling brave. Snorkeling? A must. You’ll spot loads of fish just cruising around under you. If you’re heading to Milos, don’t even think twice—Kleftiko is the spot. Total paradise!

Beautiful area of the pirate hideout. Waters are clear and there are falcons to see. You can see that the place is still being broken down due to all the limestone still being chipped away. It's such a large location that's more accessible by boat than land. Just try to stay away from the greenery due to the venomous vipers that can potentially kill you in 6 hours if you don't get treatment.

This is, of course, one of the most beautiful places to visit in this island. You must go by boat, it isn’t accessible by land because of the huge cliffs. I would highly recommend doing a boat tour to get here, there are so many options. My personal favorite is always a smaller boat with less people. The big ones get too crowded and dump a bunch of people in the water at one time which is not as enjoyable, in my opinion. The white cliffs and caves against the turquoise water is absolutely stunning! Don’t miss it when you’re in Milos!

This is just an incredible place! Crystal clear waters in a secluded cove with plenty of caves to explore if you need to get out of the sun for a minute. Ideal place to swim, snorkel, or just relax on a boat. Absolutely breathtaking!

It's otherworldly. The 2 mile hike down the mountain to reach Kleftiko isn't too bad. The 2 mile hike back up after a day of frolicking on the white rocks, is not for the faint of heart!! Most people charter a boat!

Took a tour by boat, and took us to the bay where we were able to swim around the bay, through some caves and relax on sone rocks. The scenery is beautiful, with these incredible rock formations everywhere you look; crystal clear waters. It was quite busy with lots of other tour boats anchored. Still worth it.

Not a very difficult hike since parking is right at the entrance ,but very worth it. Inside the cave is a little cold but what would you expect in a cave. Cave itself is very beatiful and mystical. If you buy entrance for like 4 euros you get a pamphlet describing the cruel history of the cave. There is a quite few steep steps down the cave so i would consider bringing toddlers and small children down. Public toilets considerably clean. Very lovely place to visit.

This was a fun side trip to our Bali Quad safari adventure. The cave is always 60°F so it would be an amazing summer destination to cool off. The stalactites were very impressive. The cave was pretty large, and we could have a spent a few more minutes there but we were on a half hour tour limit.

This site cannot be understood simply by photos and video. It must be experienced in person to grasp the Magnitude of Order. I felt like I was on a movie set, it didn’t seem real, but I promise if you make the effort to go, you won’t be disappointed. The history is telling of the events that have transpired here over the centuries. I highly highly recommend a visit. The decent into the cave isn’t difficult but it’s not handicapped accessible. There is a lovely church and snack bar with sweeping views of the valley and mountains.

Nice cave, but not a lot to see so don't expect a long stay. they made the walking route towards the cave extra long, but you do have some nice views.

What a great little hidden gem, and something different to monuments, acropolis and beaches. It’s one large opening of a cave, well signposted and good upkeep of steps and handrails. And the cave has an interesting history and stories to read about. The visit itself was about 30 minutes to walk in, explore and to leave the cave. Overall, if you are in the area, it is worth a visit. But maybe not if you have to drive out of your way.

I was really impressed with this site. It's a quick excursion to stop by. You pay at the entrance and they give you a brochure to read while you walk through. The cave is impeccably clean and well maintained. There is a nice cobblestone pathway to the cave. There are nice areas to sit and look out along the way and lots of trees for shade. There is also a little church at the top of the hill. I was amazed because I have been to caves likes this in other counties but this was the best one. No bugs, spider webs, bats, or anything inside the cave walls. They are doing a great job maintaining it. The cave is pretty well lit and there are a few landmarks to read within the cave. The cave is not wheelchair accessible and I would not recommend it unless you can climb several flights of stairs because you will go down into the cave and then have to go back up. Also I think if you buy your tickets online they're are a few dollars cheaper.

What a beautiful place. Great views across mountains and the village. Many steps to get down the cave I counted 126! They are spread out so not too bad. Amazing cave with a great story. Cafe on site so u can enjoy the view with a brew😁 amazing stalegmites and tights. Great place.❤️

Sarakiniko beach is a beautiful spot! We went for sunrise and sunset. Both were great. Sunrise was especially wonderful because of the reflection on the water & rocks. If you want to swim, the sandy part of the beach is a fairly small area. There are no facilities, beyond some trash cans. Don’t leave your trash here! The buses go here and there is a good sized parking lot. Many spots to jump off the cliffs, it’s an amazing place to explore. The volcanic rocks shaped by years of wind and water. Wild!!

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS BEACH. absolutely unreal scenery. It feels just like the moon! There are so many good places to cliff jump. It is a great spot for photos and adventure!

A must go place in Milos. As a space lover, this is the closest I will be to walking on the moon. Stunning white rocks with clear water. A place to visit but not stay for long.

The landscape around Sarakiniko is something i have never experienced before, it truly looks like a Landscape from Moon, white stones and green blue waters. The water that comes inside is good for a Swim but sometimes is overcrowded and the water around the beach is pretty stormy and is strewn with caves and so i dont deem as safe for Swimming, it maybe good for watching the waves crash on the rocks. It is easy to reach, has lot of shady areas but if you want to take a swim get your own umbrellas and towels, no facilities exist here.

Great beach to chill at. Lots of places to lay out. Water was warm despite being in a shoulder season.

Don’t let anyone talk you into skipping Milos for any other Greek Island, you have to go to THIS one! And when you do you HAVE to go to Sarakiniko beach! It feels like walking around a rocky far away planet. There is an actual beach with a shallow part for those who prefer, and then there are the rocky cliffs (jump if you dare!). There is one small food cart. I wouldn’t call this the best beach for kids, not unless you keep a very close eye on them! Be smart though! The first day we went the waves were so choppy that it wouldn’t have been safe to cliff jump, you’d go right back into the rocks. We went 2 days later and the water was calm and we jumped in :) unmissable experience

Not our faith but interesting all the same, respect rules apply with regards dress, so cover up shoulders and knees and take hats off. There's carpet from the front all the way up to allow pilgrims to crawl the last bit of the journey out of ritual. There were a number of different ceremonies on while we visited, all interesting to see and totally foreign to us! Enjoyable visit

Quite an interesting church in the center of Tinos. It was built in 1823 on the site where the miraculous icon of Virgin was found. Note to bring/buy a bottle from the near shops and fill it with the holy water found on the GF.

Tinos is an overlooked island, although it is right before Mikonos when you get on the ferry. Welcoming, with delicious food. You will be surprise by the beauty of this island. There is a lot to see here of course stay away from the port area to experience the authentic Tinos hospitality. The church of miracles in Chora ( Pilgrimage destination) the capital of Tinos is a must visit near the port. We stayed in this lovely picturesque village called Dyo Choria and our gorgeous hosts were absolutely the best. Check out some of the sandy beaches, head to Pegu beach a long stretch sandy beach with a lively mix of people, families and non families.

One of the most holy of shrines in Greece , great island to visit as well ,who ever goes to this island will come away enthusiastically pleased and enlighten.

I am not at all religious, but this place is very impressive regardless. If you are visiting Tinos, it is definitely worth a visit. We even saw quite a few of the more religiously inclined, crawling on all fours, up to entrance.

Beautiful beach!!! Why go to the Greek Islands when you have beaches like this in Türkey. I am quite impressed. I stayed in the town of Cęsme and now wish I had booked a hotel near this beach. I spent more time here than in the harbour of Cęsme.

This beach is undoubtedly one of the best beaches we have ever visited. Its pristine, golden-white sands and mesmerizing turquoise waters create a postcard-perfect scene. The beach is impeccably clean and offers a tranquil escape with complimentary sun loungers. Our kids were in absolute heaven. A must-visit!

Beautiful beach with possibilities to be one of the best beaches in the world. Crystal clear water with white sands. No shops, bars, or restaurants in the street that make it a quiet and relaxing beach. Facilities require cleaning and maintenance as most doors have broken off. The sand could be perfect if they had a machine to clean it.

Beautiful and clean public beach. Lots of space to find a good spot. Water is so clear and even end of September still OK temperature wise. There are cabins where you can change and even open showers to wash off the sand. Toilets are there but might be hard to look at... Nevertheless for a public and free beach extremely pleasant.

Great beach, it is a very large beach. You can find somewhere to sit down. Also lots of private beach areas if you pay around 40-80tl. Lots of restaurants right on the beach to order anything you want. Water is awesome and can swim for hours there.

The water is brilliant, but rhe sand is hell, full of ciggarette, used bottles, packages. Very sad that people are not trying to keep it clean, also on the other hand there are no gabbage bins until you leave the beach.

For those who have never seen and swam under a waterfall it is definitely a great experience. I recommend being at least 2 with good bathing shoes. After the first 2-3 minute swim you get to the first waterfall where you have to try to climb, but it is slippery and unfortunately there is no rope. After a few minutes there is the second waterfall with a rope. I have not seen the third one but they say it takes 20 minutes to reach it.

Supposedly there's some really lovely waterfalls high up this hill, but you can't access them without either some hard climbing or swim wading through a creek. The latter looks like a good time - if you brought a swimsuit and water shoes. (I love how Europeans just change clothes in public, and no, it's not sexy.) But I still recommend the walk up to the falls. It's gorgeous if somewhat rough terrain with views of woods and trees and the creek in spots. Some parts are tricky or unstable (these crazy wooden slat bridges, one of which broke!), so if you have stability issues, this isn't the trek for you. Or you could just go slowly.

We went with a small car and parked at the restaurant, difficult steep road but no problem for a small car. From there we took first the stairs down to the left and reached the water in 2 minutes. To the right it was a waterfall going down with a rope, quite high and looked scary. We went down on the rope into very deep water , couldn’t touch the bottom. It was scary but very much fun. There next to it was another 2m high waterfall further down but the rope I saw in the pictures from the reviews from a week ago was missing and it was too dangerous to jump since you don’t see how deep the water is. Then we had to climb back up on the high waterfall, it required a lot of arm strength and it seemed dangerous. From the restaurant we took the stairs the other way down to the other side. Very steep! We reached the smaller waterfall from that side in about 5 minutes going through deep water and it was beautiful. We had reef/water shoes, but still gotta be careful for rocks and slippery spots.

The walk in the water was a little tough, need to take shoes. Some parts you have to swim so don't take anything with you. The water is not so clear and some parts you use ropes to go through. Very nice walk ... can take 40min to an hour...

A beautiful walk, to get to the falls you’d need to swim or take a steep path. Personally the amount of nature we saw on the way was enough. It’s not a far walk or a hard one but stopping to see the diversity of life in the river and surrounding area mean we spent more than an hour to get there. Well worth the walk. Parking was fine the day we went but would imagine in summer might be challenging. There are some nice places to eat close by and also a beach to relax.

A very nice short walk to the waterfalls. We really recommend taking water-shoes, it's almost impossible to reach all 3 waterfalls without them. It's about 30 min trip from the first to the last waterfall and back through the river.

The most beautiful island, if you like Greece it's a place you must go, still very authentic, lots of beautiful beaches, churches, historic places to visit, if you don't go you will never understand the peace it brings to the soul.

The pleasant atmosphere of the island sets you up for rest. There are places for quiet relaxation and fun, noisy recreation. A large selection of taverns and souvenirs. But the cats here are not fed or given water either How to change this???

I visit the island every year! It is a big island with lovely places full of restaurants and coffee! The beaches are lovely and you can still find beaches that don't charge the umbrella and the sunbeds on top of your order! Pythagoreio, Marathokabos, Kokkari, and psili Ammos are a few of the places you can visit!

While being over in Turkey we done the day visit to the Greek island Samos. We had a really nice day over on the island and would recommend going if you've got the chance. It's absolutely beautiful! The only thing I would say is make sure you know what you want to do before going and possibly think about hiring a motorbike or car for the day as some of the main attractions are more inland of the island. We visited a lovely little pizza restaurant just along down from the main square of the marina which I would also highly recommend, really reasonable priced and amazing food!

Very nice island. In September the water was too cold to really swim or dive, but the people are very nice and the prices are only high in Pythagoreo and Kampos, everywhere else it's pretty cheap. The highlight of the island is the village Manolates there you can also find the only museum of the island. You need a car to explore the island. Its big enough to keep you occupied for a couple of weeks, but nearly all churches are closed or in disrepair. Honest review: Its totally worth a visit and has its own charme, but don't expect too much.

Wonderful place. The locals are really friendly and the island is great for hiking. It has a bit more foliage than some of the smaller islands which makes for great shade when the sun's burning. There are a lot of affordable places to eat and quite some nice hotels (I stayed at Villa Maria). You can get around the island by car or bus (or walking but that takes a bit long if all you need are some tomatoes for dinner). If you intend to use the bus often, which is what I did, make sure to inquire about departure times with locals, as this appears to change often. *Sidenote: I added a photo of the bus schedule as for april 2022.

Big surprise! Green island with beautiful beaches and warm, crystal clear sea and a few attraction. For active people I highly recommend hiking to Seitani beach and swimming in potami waterfalls, for lazy days Livadaki beach is a must, you won’t be bored. The people are super friendly, kind and talkative. Food tasty and affordable. I would say the west side prefer meat, in the East sea food is more common. There is no clubs. A lot of elderly tourists mainly from Germany. The city of Samos and Karlovasi looks like abandoned with its damaged buildings in other hand Pitagorio is absolutely lovely. Rent a car is a need. Take your swimming shoes but can forget snorkling. Temperature in October still warm 23-28°, evenings are chill and windy. Overall It is nice place to visit and rest.

It is a good place to have fun, especially if you have children. There are also many slides for adults. The ticket price includes food and drinks. However, we could not eat it. Everything was not tasty. Even the pasta was not cooked properly. The sausages were disgusting and seemed to be made of paper. The burger was also not tasty. You will have fun on the slides, but you will remain hungry.

Except for its price of ₺645 ($25), food and facilities were good enough. I'd recommend.

A very nice water park. A large selection of slides and attractions, both for children and adults. The water park itself is clean. The waiting time to enter the slides is quite short, especially when compared to other water parks. Lockers are available on site. There is a snack bar in the aquapark and juice dispensers. I don't know the price of the entrance, because we had them for free as part of our stay, but being there, it's definitely worth a visit with the kids.

Since you can’t really drive all the way through the park I have to get a rating at three. Is our understanding that there is a military base at the end of the peninsula which overlooks Greece so they do not allow your access to that part of the pregnancy.

Rated as one of the top 10 beaches we found in an online article we decided to head along in the car. The park is separated into around 4 or 5 beach areas each with its own car park and its own access to the beach. Several have cafes serving soft drinks (non alcoholic) and snacks only in what I can only describe as an archaic fashion. With dirty sunbeds at a cost there are however, free to use picnic benches which I would highly recommend but seemingly a feature well recognised by the locals. If you're lucky enough to be traveling in a car then I'd recommend finding your own private beach!

I went to Dilek National Park on a weekday in May 2023 driving a motorbike. You can only enter from the north side of the peninsula for a ticket. There are a few beaches that you can visit and are not too far from the entrance. Beaches are beautiful and equipped with facilities for pic-nic, bars and plenty of toilets. At the time of my visit, none of the cafes/restaurants were open. Unfortunately the area that you can visit is quite limited compared to the extent of the peninsula, I wish I could visit more. Also, if you need info about the peninsula and trekking possibilities there isn’t much available and I recommend visiting the tourist information point in Kusadasi (opposite the port).

If you have a car or go by bus or taxi the beaches are a refreshing change from the resort complex! Relatively harmless boar roam around scavenging but only because idiots feed them and don't understand they'll keep coming!

Positive: Has changing, shower and toilet facilities free of charge. Also sunbeds and umbrellas are free. Sunsets look amazing. Negative. Lot of small rubbish in the sand, gets very busy and noisy in daytime, changing rooms smell of urine, so do showers.

Once upon a time this was a place where only ladies were allowed for sea bath, as men were not allowed. Since times and generations have changed, men & women can also enjoy the sea beach together here. But the name remains. As such the beach is flat, sand is soft to touch and quite clean. There are lots of cafeteria, restaurants and stone’s throw away from the beach. Over all it’s a nice place for warm days In Kusadasi. The view is quite serene. We love this place very much.

The beach itself was disgusting pre season, littered with cigarette butts and garbage. The only thing that made it palatable was our wonderful restraunt hosts that provided us with beach chairs and umbrellas. Check out the cafes, they would live to serve you.

Generally too crowded, I wouldn’t recommend if you just want to go for a peaceful swim. But the atmosphere is nice to have some drinks and chill with your friends. Depends on what you want but it’s a nice place to spend time.

Top quality sandy beach with lots of space to sit down. Tons of restaurants nearby if you are hungry or want to grab a beer. The waves are really amazing at this beach. Pretty fun almost like an indoor wave park. Sitting in the waves for hours gave me time to contemplate my gambling losses. As the waves move up and down so do my winnings. Only if one could gamble in the water, salty waves to hide my salty tears. No more! The profits will start to roll in.

Well, you can spend all day here ❤️ place offers everything from wedding dresses to lighters! Make sure to reserve some more time if you want to see at least half of it. Prices are very good in most of the places, quality is what you pay for but if you want souvenirs - welcome to the paradise! Some shops here sell very good turkish coffee, soap made of olive oil is cheap and good, spice shops have their own streeet ❤️ and yea, local people do shop here. Have fun. And watch for the kittens, like in whole Izmir they are everywhere ❤️

It’s a market you would want to visit once but don’t have high expectations. The stuff are all similar. And they offer limited things. They will charge you x 4 times the price if you are from abroad. Always haggle and don’t pay too much for things. Some people that operate the stalls are friendly and honest. However, a lot of dishonest people. Be careful

Enchanting little homestead chapel. Very geared to tourists. Some sources attribute this to *the* place but it could be any such place, if Mary did come here… I hope she did, as this location was gorgeous and a beautiful place to retire after such a life as hers. This whole area is full of histories and possibilities. It closes promptly at 5 pm. Beware.

House of the Virgin Mary: it’s MTV cribs before heaven. This is allegedly where Mary spent her final days, because when you’ve immaculately conceived and survived centuries of religious fan fiction, you deserve a peaceful cottage in the Turkish countryside. You hike up, light a candle (because nothing says spiritual reflection like a wax stick), and think good thoughts while dodging tour groups elbowing for holy water. It’s quiet, solemn, and suspiciously well-preserved for a first-century home. Still, vibes are high, incense is burning, and you can’t help but think Nice digs, Mary. God forgive me for I have sinned. 👆👆

I came here on a 12 day pilgrimage and I felt so moved by my faith and filled by through the holy spirit. You will have to wait to enter Mother Mary's house and you can't take any pictures of the inside. It is best to go part of a pilgrimage because you get a guide as well as have mass and pray with other's who are part of your faith journey.

Our 1st visit today was to the House of Virgin Mary. It’s high in the mountains full of trees and it’s quite windy there. The area is for about 40minutes of visit. Interesting quite place to hang around in peaceful surrounding.

Visiting the House of the Virgin Mary in Ephesus was an incredibly moving experience. The peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings, and the deep sense of spirituality made it unforgettable. A place full of faith, history, and serenity. Truly special.

Good place if you are a catholic or muslim. They charge you 500 try per person inside a car. Souvenirs are expensive and even expensier aside of the house

Beautiful location. A lot of the structures are intact and well preserved it was difficult to get there without a guide, taxi or tour group, so it can be pricey. The ancient library is a major highlight and they do live reacting of Roman guards. Lots of history. There is a small bathroom and market stand will snacks and food around the midway point of the walk. When we went (end of June) it was 103 degrees F° with no shade. We spent about an hour and a half walking through but needed to leave due to the heat. Would love to walk around more. Important: bring good hiking shoes that grip, the marble floors are polished and slippery. We had hiking boots and sandals and still slipped a few times, but our friends with simple sneakers had to walk very slowly and carefully to avoid falling down.

Got to walk right within the ruins. Very good interpreter keeping the right pace fou our group. Good walking shoes are important due to the terrain.

The ancient theater of Iphesus is very impressive. I visited it for the second time in 2023. There are some changes compared to 2018. The ancient buildings are being repaired and many fences have been set up. This photo was taken in 2018.

We did all the walking around in 3 hours but this will definitely depend on you. January is great as there are not many tourists and prices of hotels are cheaper.

Quite expensive for what it is, no public taxi links so you have to pay a taxi or rent a car. Not wheelchair / disabled friendly. You have to walk from the entrance to the exit which is about an hour walk. Bring a hat or parasol as it’s in the direct sun without much shade. There is a museum experience around halfway which requires an extra entrance fee. Despite all this it’s an amazing location with many things to see. We didn’t have any queues to wait to get in but it was overall quite busy inside with large tour groups.

Amazing!! One of the most impressive ancient sites I have visited. The library is out of this world. We stayed for around 2/3 hours to properly see everything. The audio tour will provide you with some good information regarding the sites you visit. I would also recommend getting tickets for the Terrace Houses. We were so impressed by the frescoes and mosaics. Definitely worth the extra lira (if you buy the combined ticket at the gate, you get a little discount in comparison to buying the ticket inside).

Beautiful unique place. However it looks little bit different from the Internet pictures. White part is not really pure white and water is not deep blue. Still looks amazing. It’s slippery and we saw some people fell down. So be very careful. Also it is not very easy to walk on due to hard uneven, sometimes sharp and slippery surfaces. We regret that we forgot our aqua socks. We were here in April, outside of the busy period, but it was crowded already. Best time to come early in the morning. At night they have different colors lights making travertines look amazing

What a sight to see and experience to endure. The water was lovely, warm in some instances and ice cold in others. The sound of the water gushing through the canal is peaceful but makes you want to dunk your whole body in. We stayed 3 hours away and had to start our trip at 4am, but it was well worth it!

It looks amazing in photos and is definitely Instagram-worthy, but in reality, it’s just okay. The white terraces are interesting, but the overall experience didn’t feel as special as expected. Crowded and a bit overhyped — good for a quick visit, not much more.

Absolutely unique. Yes the lack of water is saddening and I’m sure this place made an even bigger impression back in the days. However, it’s still nature’s beautiful creation and a UNESCO site too. Definitely come early to avoid the crowds and take some great photos. I’d recommend bringing a small towel to dry your feet after.

The travertines are quite interesting but fairly dry at the moment. The areas that have flowing water are warm and easy to walk on. The pools without water flowing are very cold or even dry. You have to walk barefoot and this can be a bit painful in the dry areas. The walk is quite easy and not very steep. The Cleopatra pool is closed currently. As are the pools in town. The museum and the hierapolis however were the highlight. If you go on a tour you will miss out on parts of this as it takes a few hours to walk through the site. The theater is beautiful and can fill up with tour groups quickly. The church of St Philips which is my favorite requires a walk up the hill and has almost no tour groups. Also the museum closes earlier than the rest of the site at 4.45pm currently.

This is an amazing place to visit! A combination between natural and human wonder that has resulted in such an amazing creation! The Travertines are right next to the ancient Roman ruins of Hierapolis which even brings a greater ambiance to the whole experience. It is not recommended to go during the month of March/April, since the thermal springs will only be filled up to 30%<, which means that most of them will be empty, however, still an amazing experience to see and live. Definitely recommend it in combination to be the visit to Hierapolis.

Hierapolis is an ancient city right above of the beautiful Pamukkale travertines. The ticket gives you an access to the both places and also to the museum. The best way to get there is driving to the South Gate at the top of the hill. There’s a well preserved ruins of the theatre and other buildings. You can see how big was the city. The ruins are spread over the hundreds of meters.

Incredible location of ancient Roman city ruins, located right next to the Pamukkale Travertines of Pamukkale. Beautiful place where you feel that you have travelled back in time. In the location you can also see a collection of statues and relics that will amaze you.

Wonderful place to visit! Especially Hierapolis amphitheater is amazing. Pamukkale is worth visiting once in your life (a lot of people, slippery).

Amazing site of history. Clean and beautiful. I recommend everyone to visit the place while they are at Antalya. Some tips for tourists: go with a tour company. Saves time and money. Most trips start very early in the morning, especially if you are based off of Antalya (close to the airport). It's a very long journey. More than 3+ hours. Check with your tour agency if Cleopatra's pool is open. If not, don't bring any additional clothes.

I was totally blown away with the scale of this place. WOW!!! It is a MUST see. We drove 3.5 hours one afternoon to see the limestone hillside and didn't realise this was part of the entrance fee..... £30 / €30. From standing in the bath warm, water flowing over the limestone to the spectacular views of the mountains to walking the ruins. I could have spent days here. There is a tourist path that is good for wheel chairs, pushchairs, etc, and they have golf buggy type vehicles, for a cost, but the real experience is in your walking boots up on the hillside or climbing to the area. Also, I saw my first wild tortoise! BONUS! It's a must see.

The place is beautiful. A historical and natural beauty, but it is exploited in the name of tourism. Be careful how you are charged at the gate as there are hidden charges. The ladies say that they are charging 30 Euros for the ticket, but they charge in Turkish Lira. You end up getting charged 40 Euros as they might charge for headphones without asking if you want one. When you complain at the gate, the customer services people just smile. The worst is they pick and choose whom to apply the hidden charges.

Hot Springs of Pamukkale, take off your shoes and socks, raise the bottom of your pants to knee level and enjoy a pleasant walk on these famous hot and warm natural spring waters.

We drove from Antalya to Salda Lake, and the drive was smooth and easy, with clear roads. The lake itself is visible from a distance, but the main tourist area is a bit further inside. Positives: •Great for Photography: The lake offers stunning views that are perfect for photography enthusiasts. •Fresh Air: The surroundings are refreshing, providing a great escape into nature. •Beautiful Views: The lake’s unique turquoise waters make for an amazing sight. Improvement: •Cleanliness of Shoreline: While the lake is beautiful overall, the shore could be cleaner. Extra Note: Be cautious of honey bees in the area. One seemed especially interested in my wife, leaving her with a memorable sting! A picturesque spot with minor drawbacks, Salda Lake is worth visiting for nature lovers and photographers.

What an amazing nature and beauty about this place which is unbelievable, lake is super huge and we went from one corner to another even the village is so beautiful while going to Salda Lake. A must place to visit and also there restaurants and coffee shops around some key spots with restroom facilities.

An excellent and quaint beach located on the way to Antalya from Pamukkale/Denizli. Would definitely suggest a short stop here for picturesque views. Do note that swimming here is difficult and generally inadvisable. Not many cafes/restaurants around.

The experience of watching the sunset there was particularly captivating, as the changing colours of the sky reflected beautifully on the lake’s surface. Beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. We went in December and everything was closed. We found one hotel parking lot opened that you have to pay 40 TL to park. We drove the entire lake looking for a restaurant open but found none. I imagine in the summer, this place may be crowded. The lake has beautiful turquoise water around the edge. When entering Salda Lake into Google, it took us to a spot on the road with information, in the curve of a road; be careful. Very difficult to pull up to the lake.

Amazing place. It is really worth with amazing views, definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area . A great place hidden in Western Turkey, it is not so touristy. Most of the locals visit this place and they feel like this place as Turkey maldives. It's an amazing place to relax and picnic, half a day is enough. There is a camping space, the advantage is also that it is a little cleaner than other areas and I am not sure about the safety. Such a beautiful place, such clear water!! Breath taking. great for photos and a very memorable place.

🤩 Absolutely one of our favourite places in Türkiye! We went up the mountain at around 17:00, there's an upwards route for about 1 km, where you find incredible eternal flames 🔥 coming out of the earth! 🇵🇱 Then we followed the white-red marks on stones and went on towards the peak of Chimaera. The trail was now twice as steep with a lot of loose rocks. But it was so worth it! We got a little bit more of the eternal flames 🔥 and a beautiful view of Mount Olympus (Tahtalı Dağı 🏔️) at sunset. We ended up taking the trail to the top of the peak on the right and there were some amazing views of the mountains and the sea. 🌕 When we got back down to the first eternal flames it had already gotten dark, so the flames were very effective and we were glad to see both night/day versions. 🚘 We got back to our car at around 20:00, but I think it is open until later, because people just kept heading up. 🎫💲Ticket was 75TL (about 1.90€) per person, which is such a bargain! At the entrance there's a shop, free carpark and toilet. Lots of places for picnics. 💡 Be sure to bring good hiking shoes and plenty of water 💪 😻 Loved how many cats were enjoying the heat from eternal flames 🔥 just sleeping all over the place 🐈‍⬛

A unique experience. It’s very hot to go during the day in summer. I would recommend to go in the evening but it’s more crowded there. 1km from the parking until the main flames and the temple ruins. It costs 45 lira per person. If you are in good physical shape and wear good shoes, I would recommend the extra 25-minute walk on a steeper trail to get to the upper flame.

Chimera is truly a place for nature lovers. You have to climb higher and higher, and then you’ll be rewarded with an incredible sea view on one side and mountains on the other. Don’t expect too much fire, but enjoy the surroundings.

Amazing natural phenomenon. Careful, rocks are polished and slippery, even when dry and dusty. Bring a bright flashlight if you are staying after dark. Take photos after dark under the rocks around the fires.

İt is also a historicak place. Entrance was 75 TL not that much. The view and the burning stones are amazing, enjoy.

Amazing place, the walk up is steep. Make sure you have suitable footwear and plenty of water with you especially if visiting in the hot weather. Once up, the flames are amazing. Great experience! We had fun.

Was awesome. We came when it was supposed to be closed by they still let us in for an extra 25lira. We saw a scorpion on the way there. Recommend to come prepared in correct shoes. We came in sandales thinking it was a short walk. Also bring a flashlight.

fantastic experience, offering breathtaking views—when the weather permits. Unfortunately, during our visit, there was about 90% cloud cover and heavy fog, so the views were very limited. However, the ticket counter staff were honest about the conditions before we purchased our tickets. Despite the fog, the overall experience was great! The ride itself is smooth and exciting, and once at the top, the kids had an amazing time playing in the snow. It’s definitely worth a visit, but I’d recommend checking the weather forecast beforehand for the best experience.

Although I'm petrified of heights, the weather was miserable and the clouds were abundant taking the cable car up Mount Olympos was a great experience. It appeared to be relatively expensive but we went as part of a tour with TUI so I think it worked out cheaper for us. The journey takes about 12 minutes each way and the views are impeccable (if you can face looking). Once you're at the top there's a gift shop, café and restaurant, all of which are very pricey. There are some great viewing platforms which are the main reason to go up the 2350m mountain. It's definitely a once and done type of activity but I recommend giving it a go.

If you want a view for miles this is the place to be. The cable car costs €41 as of this post. For a few euros more you can book a tour from Antalya. Mine was €55 and included a lunch stop and old town tour. Unfortunately the day I went in late March was 60s on the ground a snow storm at the top. But the trip, history and ride was a great day out for the cost.

We came here via transfer pickup from a hotel in Goynuk and had pre-booked tickets online in GetYourGuide app. As we were a part of a group of about 12, it took a few minutes for the ticket office to print them for us all. There is a small snack bar/cafe type of place where you can get drinks and nibbles while you wait for the cable car, which comes and goes every 30 mins. There are some pretty views around this place, and we also enjoyed the windy road up to it through a forest. The cable car ride takes about 15 mins to the summit. It is very cold on top, and we came here in mid November wearing just hoodies, and yes, it was freezing! But the 360° views are so worth it, it's beautiful in this part of Antalya. From beaches to snowy mountains, the scenery is breathtaking. There is another café here. A large latte cost around £7.50. There is also a small souvenir shop on this level. WC are on the lower level, a mosque/praying room on the level above café and shop. On the top floor, there is a viewing platform. We took most of our photos there. On the ground level, there are people who pester you to take photos and print them (not sure how much they charge, we said 'no, thank you' a dozen times...

Yeah defo worth a visit not that crowded when I went cable car was fun .. you can paraglide from the top if your brave enough..

I had the pleasure of experiencing the cable car ride in Turkey, and it was absolutely incredible! The views were breathtaking, offering a stunning panoramic view of the landscape below. You must experience this cable car ride if you're visiting Antalya. It's by far the best one there, providing breathtaking views from high up in the mountains. The ride up is around 12 minutes - take in the stunning views from a 360 angle. We went during the week when there were little to no people there, so the cable car was virtually empty. Up top, you have a small cafe, a restaurant, and then a viewing platform. They also have a bungee jumping experience and also hand gliding experiences from the top, but I think you'd have to book those in advance. There are usually professional photographers up there offering to take pictures of you, the usual costs €10-30 but you could probably get just as good pictures on your phone. The cable cars run every 30 minutes so you can stay as long as you want at the top. Prices are a little steep (no pun intended) but worth it, in my opinion. Will never forget this experience.

Really a fantastic place with so much history! The gates to enter are open until 15:00, it will cost you 120 Turkish liras per person (about 3€), only in cash. They will close the park at 17:00, so you need to be out before then. The parking lot is about 9km from the gate, it is a big parking area with some picnic tables and a decent toilet. The hike to Termessos is short 15min, but quite steep. The ancient city itself is somewhat hard to access - there are some trails, but you need to feel confident to climb between the rocks to see the best parts. We enjoyed it very much, stayed there almost 3 hours, exploring and climbing. Interestingly, the 2500 year old Termessos was not destroyed by the wars, but abandoned after earthquakes and economical crisis. It was forgotten for a while, but rediscovered in the 19th century. Definitely worth to visit! 🤩

I can hardly begin to express how I feel about visiting Termessos. To put it mildly, I was overwhelmed. It was as though you walked into a city that had been left in abandoned 1000 years ago and you were the only person there. I could fill a notebook with photographs. You must go see this if you can hike well.

One of the most beautiful ancient sites I have ever seen. Take good hiking shoes and water with you. The site is in a natural protected park, so you won't find anything else than nature and ruins.

Breathtaking! The drive up is beautiful and the it is a 20 min walk to the ruins and Theater. The scenery is amazing and you constantly walk on 2000 year old columns and stones. Do the round trip back to the carpark via the stone tombs!

I would give 6 stars, if I could. Absolutely stunning ancient city on a mountain pass. Largely not excavated and in very good shape aside from the nature taking over. Requires 45+ min of driving on a one-lane street to reach the parking near the site, and then 45+ min steep uphill walking on a difficult path to reach the main location.

Amazing experience, we visited on a cloudy and walking through the ruins with cold breezes made it very special. A sunny day could be harder, because there is a steep hill to reach ruins and then a lot of stones to climb to look deeper at the ruins.. It's definitely a cultural experience and would recommend reading about the place a bit before you go here. Or have a guide to understand the significance of ruins. There is a family of 6 foxes that live near the otopark, we could see 2 of them pass us very quietly just a few meters away from us in the bushes.. Shoes with good traction are very helpful in this place. Carry enough water and some snacks , as it took us almost 5 hours to walk around the ruins, we being a bunch of people very keen to look and inspect everything..

Spectacular place !!! Be ready to spend a whole day there!!! And get good tracking shoes! The views are breathtaking and constructions are so stunning and rise so many questions how they were built! The best option to get there is to hire a car! And don't forget plenty of water and some snacks ! The ticket is just 3 EU per person!
