Great park. Incredible views and did the Grand View hike (1.8 miles round trip). Hiked in late April on a day that was about 70 degrees and sunny with a nice breeze. Perfect weather. Hike offered more time to soak up the views as it was mostly on the rim. Good exercise but not strenuous. There is no shade so come prepared on a hot day. They do drop off busses of people so it can be a little busy but spread out over the trail you can find some peace and quiet.

We were there on a Friday, March, 21st. Hardly any lines and worth every second of our time! The scenes were vast and jaw dropping! We met amazing people along our way from all across America and even internationally (Canada,Paris and London)! What an amazing day! Highly recommend!

This park is hundreds of miles huge. Divided into 4 districts. We chose to explore the Island in the Sky district. It was surprisingly beautiful! The road is paved and loads of turn outs to view. There are restrooms and picnic tables scattered throughout. Take a map when you check in! Small visitor center has more info, The road is a loop with a couple of turn offs, take all tree and go look. You can park and hike moderate trails to see more. Do it if you can. Loved this park. Next time we will explore the rivers district. Water still too cold in April.

Incredible park. I think like with a lot of people, we had it tacked into the end of a trip of the big parks going East from Nevada and didn't know as much about it. If I was doing the same trip again, I'd allot at least 3 days to explore this park. We had 1.5 days and that was only enough to drive around Island in the Sky and do a couple of really short hikes. The views when you first get to the parks visitor centre are overwhelming, and it only gets better from there.

Canyonlands did not disappoint, From the beautiful drive in to the friendly staff at visitor center was an amazing start. Then the real treat started with amazing awe inspiring views and scenes at every turn. Had to just sit back and take as much in as possible, Next time we will be spending multiple days here to explore this amazing National park.

This is my favorite national park! There is so much to offer when it comes to off-roading, remoteness, slot canyons, petroglyphs, canyons, caves, stars, creeks, wildlife, foliage, and rangers. I can’t wait to go back to Dollhouse.

What can I say, it's my favorite of the mighty 5. The vastness of the three districts is humbling. Come prepared. The time it takes to explore them all is wild. I've visited multiple times over the last 10 years and still just scratched the surface. A must see national park.

I absolutely love this place. Views are unworldly, food was top notch, and wine was extremely tasteful. This place really is a slice of Italy in CO. Everyone there is so nice and can tell that it's very family oriented by the way it's run. They have a true passion in the things they do and it shows. I will be back without question.

Absolutely 10/10 experience. The winery is set in the most beautiful location with a spectacular view. There is ample seating, from patio couches, tables overlooking the edge, and waterfront chairs, all of it excellent. We were immediately greeted and the service was superb. The wine was very good and we both found something we liked easily. My only regret is not buying more bottles to take home!

One of the nicest little wineries that I've been to as far as atmosphere goes. The outdoor seating and overlook of the valley and mountains is really unbeatable. The wine was very nice, but not as nice as the venue and views. :)

First off the staff is very friendly and proud of their establishment. (as they should be) we LOVED the atmosphere and view. This place is classy and well thoughtout. My reason for giving only 4 stars is the lack of snacks. We shared 3 bottles of wine during the several hours there and hoped for a few more food options. This place is still a must... Make the time and come here... Bring snacks and sit back to enjoy the breathtaking sights

Great place. They offer free tasting and I our case we bought two glasses to enjoy their setting. The place is nice and a good stop if someone is in the area. We talked to the owner-sailor a bit. I am sure he has way more stories to tell. There is also some art for sale

First of all, approaching the winery was like rolling up to an Italian villa, with beautiful grounds and lush landscaping. The wine tasting was very reasonably priced, with the ability to sample 4 different wines for $10, and even included the glass. They were all very well done, and I honestly liked everything I tried. I settled for the yacht club red for my full glass, and settled down under their pergola patio, which sported incredible views and offered shade as well. We were really impressed with everything, and while we didn’t get food, we came back with 2 bottles of the Yacht Club Red, as it’s only available at the vineyard and not distributed locally. Guess just a good reason to come back! Azura was by far the best vineyard of all the ones we tried in the area and we’d absolutely come back!

Such a great place. Chef Joseph Kerns was cooking great food and the wines were divine. Service was excellent and fun. It was a great place to hang out and meet some really cool people. Amazing views from the tasting room and seating area.

The South Rim Visitor Center is conveniently located near the park entrance, making it the primary starting point for most visitors to the park. It offers ample parking, clean restrooms, and easy access to the South Rim Road, which leads to several scenic overlooks and hiking trails. It’s well-equipped to provide an introduction to the park’s unique geology and wildlife, and it offers great resources for planning your adventure. The nearby overlooks provide some of the most spectacular canyon views in the park, making it an essential part of any visit.

Great place for information & education in the black canyon. There are some hands on activities. You can purchase t-shirts, stickers and more. Note that Colorado is a bag-free state so you’ll need to carry your items out. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and unique sight to behold, it’s hard to see the magnificent and breathtaking depth that these canyons are, it was an easy walk from the visitor center to a great overlook. There is some informational content in the visitor center. There is no water up here. Outhouse was clean and heated

Beautiful Center with nice displays and well placed information. Immediately outside is a short hike to one of the most beautiful views in the National Park.

The main attraction is the views of the canyon from the trails just outside the visitors center. The parking lot tends to fill up, so we parked at a pull out that was about a half mile from the visitors center and walked along the rim trail to the center. You get many different glances at the gorge, and it is not as crowded as the area right around the visitors center.

Great views from the visitor center. The rangers/park volunteers are super informative and positive. Absolutely one of my favorite National Parks I've had the pleasure to experience. I would 10/10 recommend visiting both the North and South Rims.

Excellent location for this visitor's center! Inside there's the typical ranger's desk complete with maps and all the information you could need; a store; and some fascinating information regarding the geology and history of the park. Just outside there's a picnic table (having it labeled as a picnic area on the park maps is a little misleading) and some benches, and a boardwalk a short distance down to an amazing overlook. There's also 2 separate restroom buildings, so potty opportunities abound here! For what it's worth, we did just about everything the south rim has to offer (short of going into the canyon) in under 8 hours or so. Kids did the junior ranger program, we hit all the overlooks and did the Warner Point Trail, as well. Did the Rim Rock Trail from here to a little ways past Tomichi Point, but turned around as it was getting dark. Also drove down the East Portal Road and got as close to Crystal Dam as we could. Skipped the Uplands and Oak Flat Trails, but did stick around after dark for a pretty cool astronomy program near the campground.

An amazing place - buildings and everyday life items 200-100 years old, gathered for many years with love by a passionate man. The director was so kind to show us through the inside collection, where every little thing had a story to be told. At the end we also got a great restaurant recommendation from a lovely lady runing the place. We spent two hours there, and the time passed super fast. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

Awesome museum that has several different buildings and artifacts. The owner started collecting artifacts at age 4 and has continued throughout his lifetime. There's so much to see and learn. There are informative signs all over the place to help you understand what you are seeing, and it's packed full of great historical pieces. This is a great treat for locals and tourists alike. June was super helpful, and there were so many great souvenirs at the giftshop. We thought it was cool that Mr. Fike (founder/owner) is there on site and happy to answer any questions you may have. Everyone was so friendly here, and the self guided tour was nice, we would love to come back and do a guided tour. They also do ghost tours and special events like weddings here! We got some really cool solar t-shirts that change color in the sun while we were here too. I highly recommend visiting when you're in the area!

What a hidden, historical gem this museum is! The gentleman who started up this museum has been collecting items starting at the tender age of 4 years old-there's 80 year's worth of collecting to enjoy. We did the self guided tour but will definitely go back for the guided tour. A highly recommended stop off the beaten path!

The employees/volunteers are absolutely beyond wonderful but I must admit, Mr. Colley truly made this a special stop for me. I’m so grateful for the experience, history lessons and the ability to see/discuss the one and only Butch Cassidy’s saddle. Incredible collection of artifacts; if you often find yourself staring at things too long in curiosity- honestly just plan to spend more an easy 2-3 hrs here (we spent about 3 and could have easily stayed another hour) Never seen such a large collection of varying types of historic equestrian gear in one place; as a nerd about equine, tack makers and their histories- I was in heaven. If you pay attention you’ll even notice they have a Sears- Roebuck catalog saddle in one area… then a Sears Roebuck kit house just across the grounds. How fun that was for me☺️ Don’t miss this literal tresure, you’ll be disappointed you did!! Thank you to all the amazing staff and volunteers I hope this attraction lives on for generations!❤️

This was a spur of the moment stop along our road trip. We circled back to see what this place was about and were just in time to join the next tour group. Everyone that worked there just seemed really amazingly friendly. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and thorough! The tour ended up being about 3 hours! And there was still so much to look at but we had to get on the road. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that loves antiques and old buildings. All the buildings are authentic and were carefully refurbished. This whole thing was put together by one man who started his collection of antiques at age 4! The collection is quite large and curated well! It was really enjoyable and we appreciated it a lot! It was well worth the price of admission!

If you’re on the fence about visiting this museum, *definitely* do it, and *definitely* get the guided tour! This was an unexpectedly fantastic and amazing museum! Our family really enjoyed our time here. I would 100% recommend getting the guided tour for a few more dollars - you learn so much more and go in many of the buildings you can’t go in on a self-guided tour. Jim was SO knowledgeable and we went early in the morning (about 8:30/9am on a Wednesday) and ended up having a private tour for about 1.5 hours. Jim knows SO much about everything and had an answer for every single one of our many questions about the artifacts. I thought this was going to be more of a “road side attraction” type place, but it turns out Mr. Fike, the collector/curator of all of the items, is an actual renowned archaeologist and everything is historically accurate and original. It’s like stepping back in time and seeing things exactly how they were in the late 1800s. Plan on spending at least two hours here for the guided tour + time after to walk around and see the additional buildings. If you like to read everything and are interested in history, you might want to spend more time than that - there is a lot of very cool stuff to see (including a hunted house!)

I love these outdoor museums and this is among the best. Plenty of old buildings to see, explore and photograph. You can choose a guided tour for a bit more cash but I prefer the self guided so I can go at my pace. They also have an indoor exhibit.

It's a wonderful museum, so much to see. There are tv"s where you interact with and are able to watch many different things about the Ute tribe of the history and many of things. Many benches to set and take in the views. Outside was also very interesting and informative. A great museum.

I was accompanying my children to a field trip to this facility it is a cool little museum however one of the staff members (An older woman) was extremely abrasive and aggressive towards the children and even made a verbal threat to discipline my child right in front of me. This happened when my child was not doing anything wrong. She was interacting appropriately with the exhibits and doing the scavenger hunt and learning

One of the best museums I have experienced. I have gone to the new and polished Oklahoma tribal museums and this is more interactive. Really helpful videos throughout and hands on activities such as making beading patterns with glass stones. Worth a stop, even for 30 minutes

I walk with the dog here in the mornings. Its quiet and peaceful. There is a wooden walkway that leads to the Uncompahgre River. I've spotted cranes, geese and ducks on the river. Lots of people like to start river trips from this spot. On the other side of the road is the museum. The architecture is interesting and the museum has informative displays. Children enjoy exploring the many yurts built on the grounds. There is a trail beyond the grounds that lead to Riverbottom and Cerise Park.

You could spend weeks here and not see it all! Gorgeous views of Grand Junction, Delta, and La Sal Mountains! Roads were in nice shape, there’s a million different lakes and the fall colors were really popping off when we were up there. There’s so much to do here, it can be overwhelming but definitely worth checking out

🔊🔊🔊 Hello Review Readers 🔊🔊🔊 Hello Y'all ..if you're looking for a fun summer drive then load up your vehicle & picnic lunches and drive the Grand Mesa loop. You can do it from either direction in a circle from Grand Junction. Going the ski area way or the Delta way is equally beautiful! Depending on how many times you stop to take pictures it's probably about a 2 1/2 -3 hour loop. At the top of the Grand Mesa there is a visitor center and many amazing lakes and breathtaking scenery. If you live anywhere in the area or just passing through on vacation do yourself a favor and drive the Grand Mesa loop. It's a very relaxing and peaceful drive. It's definitely a bucket list drive because the scenery from the top is next level. Have fun Y'all!

I thought you could rent equipment here for kayaking but it doesn’t work that way. You have to bring whatever you want. I did some hiking but had a hard time following the signs and didn’t end up where I was trying to go. There is no cell service. I drove all the way through both ways. On my way back in the evening I saw a bear crossing the road! I definitely recommend doing the drive and hiking if you like to hike but it’s difficult to understand the services and there’s no one to help as the visitors center is no longer staffed.

We visited Grand Mesa in August of 2023 and I am so glad we did! The weather was perfect. We stoped and walked along many of the larger lakes (there are over 300 lakes) . We entered from the South 50 to 65 . Visitor center is far in, nearly at top of Mesa first 6 of 12 mile drive was gravel rough road and the drive itself is pretty shaky. The visitor center was nice, the lakes around the visitor center were pretty. Overall nice experience but be prepared for mosquitos in the summer bring a repellent for the mosquitoes.

We visited on the third week of April and it was still buried in snow. Although we couldn't see much of Grand Mesa, the views of the surrounding mountains were fantastic. We need to come back when we can see the actual mesa.

The Grand Mesa National Forest is an absolutely amazing and beautiful place. Spend some time there enjoying nature, hiking, camping, fishing. The cotton wood lakes area is pretty. Crag crest trail offers some amazing views. The aspen trees get spectacular in the fall.

This place is top notch. Ben is an excellent balance between professional, safe, and fun.we took out daughter here for her 16th birthday and we couldn't have been more impressed. We will return.

Ben is amazing!!!! He was very thorough in the instructions and full of energy. We had some bad weather, but Ben worked with us to make sure we were able to get our jumps in before we had to leave. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!!

Ben made our kids dreams come true! Our son has a terminal illness and Ben was so caring and thoughtful to help him have his wish come true and enjoy his experience. Our sons “Best Day Ever!!!”

My husband and nephew went skydiving this week with Ben. They had a great time and loved their experience! They would highly recommend and would for sure go again!

We had the most incredible time at Ultimate Skydiving Adventures a couple weeks ago! Our 10 year old and 8 year old and Hubby all went skydiving! The team there is incredible. We flew with Ben and Joey and they immediately felt like family to us. They made our kids feel comfortable and excited and the whole experience was off the charts! They were professional but also extremely personable. Our kids keep Asking when we can just go hang out with them Again. We live a few states away but will Definitely be back! Thank you for making our kids Dreams come true! As a mom it made me tear up With pride watching our kids get to Experience something so incredible! It was also there first plane ride so it definitely checked off some major boxes for them!

What a hidden little gem, not too busy, had a nice base and fresh powder the night prior to us being there!! Well groomed runs, friendly staff and mountain host, would recommend checking this place out!! Also great bang for your buck!!

Zeb and John were the BEST Ski instructors anyone could ask for. They were patient, caring, and had great Tips. They definitely created a new obsession for me and I’m beyond GRATEFUL. Once I’ve mastered their basics, I’m definitely taking another class with them.

I love Powderhorn. I learned to ski there 8 years ago. Sometimes, you can practically have the whole mountain to yourself!

Powderhorn is over the top good , steep runs, aspen glades, great light crispy snow powderhorn has 16000 skiable acres .I went here with my dad and had a great time, it was a huge powder day seemed like the storm hugged the messa. Fresh powder runs for 2 days

I got a beginner ski lesson from Asja here and it was the best lesson I could have asked for. She was so nice and encouraging. I’ve been skiing now twice since her lesson and I keep what she taught me in mind each time. I now have a season pass for next year and I can’t wait to get even better thanks to what she has taught me. Powderhorn is a great resort with very kind people!

Definitely worth the drive! This company blends a mix of thrills, scenic beauty, and fun history dialog while riding in an awesome boat down the open Colorado river! If you're lucky you may spot several of the local Bald Eagles as they nest right off the river as well as many other wildlife. This was a blast!

One of the best ways to spend an hour!! An exhilarating boat ride! Our driver showed amazing skills and was a great tour guide too. Highly recommended!!

Beware! The host charges for full tastings even when he does not have all wines listed for tasting. Also one of our party only had a small taste of one wine and he was charged $20 for a full tasting. Wines are overpriced and tastings are very small considering the price for the tastings. Will not be going there again.

A beautiful vineyard with a relaxed atmosphere. Kenn is welcoming and knowledgeable and his wine is the best in the valley. You’ll often run into friendly locals who are regulars - always a sign of a great place! Start with a tasting and end with a wonderful experience that includes great conversation and new friends (and maybe even a few bottles of that cherry dessert wine 😉). Hermosa Vineyards is a must-visit when you’re in the Palisade area.

If you're a red wine drinker Hermosa Winery in Palisade is a must-visit! I was with a friend, and we both opted for the wine tasting at $20 each, and it was an incredible experience. Not only did we get to taste their great wines, we got knowledge about Hermosa's different grapes along with how they work with other Palisade wineries. The tasting alone was worth every penny. We bought 2 bottles to take with us. We were fortunate to visit early on a Sunday morning, avoiding the busy crowds from the weekend. Kenneth, was fantastic, providing us with excellent recommendations for lunch and even suggesting a visit to a state park on our way back to Denver. Hermosa Winery truly made our visit memorable with its exceptional wines and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended and will definitely be going back.

Local favorite! I’ve been to all the wineries and this is always a must when visitors come from out of town. Kenn knows what he’s doing and his knowledge and experience is a great way to learn more about wine making and viticulture. If you’re stopping through or visiting the area Hermosa is a must!! And if you like it BUY IT! Cause he doesn’t go to the festivals or distribute to liquor stores. Quality wine and a great time!!

Great atmosphere and wine. I am a local and it's my favorite go to winery to spend an afternoon. The owner Ken is very generous and fun to chat with. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time. Edit: I'm adding a photo several months after the initial review. This is still my favorite winery and we visit often.

I'd much rather buy wine at the dollar store and enjoy it outside their parking lot.

Downtown Grand Junction Colorado is a vibrant, diverse fun experience. Make your way to Small Mall on Main, 558 Main Street for a super fun shopping experience..It's over 30 local vendors under one roof!

Fun place to go for a walk. Lots of art to check out. The old town buildings are awesome. A must visit if your just passing through and want to see the hart of the town

Being there at a cold winters day was most likely different than on a summers day. It was a bit empty as it was cold, but I thing it will be a very nice place on a summers day. At least it was not all done for cars but there were room for walking down the main street.

SO much local art (there is a specific program name, which I forget). Our local friends took us visitors up and down the main street. We even ran into a bagpipe and Celtic dancers group - best I've ever heard. I could've used a public restroom or two - I saw the Sign but not the place. On a weekday evening the parking was easy, convenient and free. Of course, the art was the best part.

The friendly personal in the shops it makes you feel good, the ice creamso delicious, and the weather was perfect , nice place to go for a weekend getaway.

Great selection of stores and restaurants, a few entertainment venues as well, free parking on main st., surrounding areas and lots are metered. Great variety of stores for local souvenirs and perfect for holiday and gift shopping. Summer farmers markets, first Friday art walks and amazing holiday lights, carriage rides and unique vendors. Antiques, games, books, arts & crafts, and small businesses. A must see for all.

Always amazed by the beauty this country has to offer. Colorado National Monument is quite amazing, and if you are a flatland country boy the drive here is nothing short of white knuckled terror. (for me at least,lol) Spent the day enjoying the views and doing a few easy hikes and ended up in grand junction for dinner. Very glad we headed over to enjoy it.

An absolute surprise!!! We decided to loop through Colorado National Monument while driving through towards Moab, UT. The drive through the park was spectacular and the hikes were perfect for our family (two adults and two young children). Rim Rock Drive ranks up with Trail Ridge Road as a top scenic drive for us, we even elected to take go back through the park on the way home to simply drive in the opposite direction through the park. Highly recommend Devil’s Kitchen as an easy and adventurous hike for young families. Be prepared for limited parking near the trail head.

Wow could not stop saying wow! Amazing colours with the light on the rock faces. Quite high altitude. Watch out for wildlife when driving this road. Great pull offs to see more but honestly views from the car are unbelievable.

This monument is not like what we normally think of as monument, it stands as a monument of nature. Nestled on the west end of I70, this 23+ mile stave provides breathtaking beauty and driving experience on the winding road! While not necessary, stopping by the visitor’s center is worth while! Watch the short 16 min movie! Plenty of turn offs to take photos! Also for the hiking enthusiasts, some great developed trails, bring plenty of water and a wide brim hat! There is a fee and is managed by the park service!

Great place just outside Grand Junction. Good view points and just the drive itself was cool if you didn't want to stop. You get a better chance to appreciate the environment if you do stop and slow down a minute. Late April it was not crowded. Highly recommend.

Colorado National Monument is a beautiful area just outside of Grand Junction Colorado. If you’re not into hiking, that’s OK. The 23 mile drive is gorgeous. There are many switchbacks along the way and each one offers spectacular views of the valley. This National Monument also offers many hiking trails. It’s worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We absolutely loved the rim drive in the Colorado National Monument. The drive is very accessible and the views are stunning. The labels at each pull-out are helpful. We were there in June and it was not crowded at all. I predict this will become a National Park someday because it is better than some of the 55 National Parks we have seen.

This was an AWESOME find! Just randomly noticed and figured I'd take a looksie. Glad I did! Recommend others do the same too! Apparently, the lab isn't all for show either! They have actual Archeologists, Biologists, and Geologists working there! I went when they were either away or taking vacation themselves! The two ladies at the front desk were awesome as well. Too bad I was super sweaty and went into the museum partly to cool down! Otherwise I'd have asked them to join for dinner or to two step.

Fun little Dinosaur museum right at the entrance of Colorado National Monument. My daughter and I visited the museum after spending several hours at the monument and it was a fun stop. They had a great video to watch before you toured the museum that taught us all about the bones found in Fruita which we had never heard of before. The museum is a mix of replica dinos and actual bones and we had a good time looking at all the neat displays. My daughter enjoyed the earthquake simulator that let you feel what a real earthquake is like. Cute little gift shop on the way out and friendly employees, as well. Plus the entry fees are way less than other museums in the area.

This museum has nice displays to look at. I learned a lot about history a where all the digs happen. The employees are real nice. The one item the museum needs to improve on is the lighting. I being in my late 60’s had a hard time reading the exhibits.

This place was very cute. It was small but overall the kids enjoyed it. Very clean museum. The girls at the front desk were lovely. The gift shop was pretty cool. We found a few things to get. Great variety in merchandise and prices.

This dinosaur expedition was exceptionally enjoyable and educational, featuring an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils. The earthquake simulation provided valuable insights into geological phenomena. My sister and I used to come here as kids and always had a blast learning and seeing all the the dinosaurs and different fossils that are on display. I was able to take my 2 year old (kids under 3 years old get in for free!) daughter and she really enjoyed herself! I was bummed that the place hasn't really been updated in the 20+ years it has been since I was a kid running around. I think it would be nice to have a bit more interactive things to do for little kids, but overall still am happy with our visit. We will continue to keep visiting and learning 🦖🦕

Not as many cars as before the collection was sold, but still a cool selection and fun to see.

We visit about once a year and we notice something new each time. The cars are beautifully & creatively displayed in themed rooms. Even a non-enthusiast can appreciate the artistic qualities and beauty of these classics. Never crowded. Clean rest rooms. Wonderful meals served at the on-site Paradox Grille.

A great museum with top notch cars! Definitely worth the $15 admission price, kids are free and seniors/vets are $10. There's more than one "One of a Kind" cars on display.

Beautiful we'll laid out museum. A lot of history in this magnificent display, and many people should see where all cars of today originated from. Pure perfection, and no flaws on any vehicle in this museum. I had many favorites within these walls. The admission was free for guests staying at the property, but the fee for non guests is very reasonable. This is a well sought out collection that all must see at least once on their lifetime. I give another 👍👍 A+!

Pretty amazing to have access to an auto museum on the resort property. One that has such cool and rare cars. The caretaker was informative and super helpful.

Outstanding! Educational and impressive! It might be free if you're staying at the resort, but it was $15/pp if you weren't. A great collection! We were a little bummed that the Duesenberg car wasn't there; we heard it was getting a new radiator. The museum said all the cars were drivable. Great stop in some beautiful canyons!

As many have mentioned, this is well worth a visit beautiful day trip to te Paradox valley from Junction, Moab or Montrose. Even if you’re not a “car guy” it’s worth a visit. Beautiful works of art. Also the canyons in this area are beautiful. Good and only restaurant at the resort. Tesla charging stations that are available to other EVs if you have an adapter.

This is amazing! My first time seeing petroglyphs. I am not from Utah so this was definitely something new to me. It was very cool seeing the drawing. I hope that people realize the value of these places and stop vandalizing.

Beautiful golf course surrounded by stunning red rock. Very well kept course, smooth greens, friendly staff. We look forward to playing again the next time we're in Moab!

This panel is amazing to see because you can walk or drive up to it! It's next to the golf course. Once you see a white sign that says The Robertson's you've made it to the rock with a wooden fence around it.

Easiest petroglyphs around to get to and not crowded

There they are, easy to get to, not crowded. What is the real history of this land? Hard to know!

2,000 year old art that you can drive up to and enjoy, go check it out.

Visitors have been defacing these more and more every year. It's infuriating, sad, and illegal. These people are why we can't have nice things. I first saw these 30 years ago, and about every 5 years since, and year by year they're diminished by hoodlums. I wish we could put security cameras up. Still, if you've never seen a petroglyph, these are a good place to start. See them before they're gone...😢

This 3+ mile hike was challenging going up the steep slick rock and sand but so worth it! There were ledges that if you are afraid of heights might make your stomach turn a bit. The views are amazing though! I say it was well worth the hike.

I had a great sunset at Delicate Arch. I started hiking about 90 minutes before sunset so I would have time to hike around and explore the Delicate Arch area. Stunning views and scenery.

Utah—and a place that feels like a true symbol of America's national parks. It's a 3-mile round trip from the parking lot, and it took our family about three hours. The trail can be slippery, so hiking shoes are better than sandals or sneakers. Be sure to bring plenty of water and some light snacks. If you go in the afternoon, the backlighting can make it harder to get good photos.

The hike took us 2hrs. It's around 3 miles. Very easy walk, a little bit of uphill but nothing crazy. The view was phenomenal, if you are visiting arches this is the one to see.

The delicate arch - considered the most famous among all is a moderately strenuous hike. The round trip would take about 2.5 hours for most of the hikers (even if you aren’t a regular person). The hike isn’t what it will seem at the beginning. You simply cannot guess where the end is. But once you reach the end you will completely realize that all the hard work was worth it. Excellent. Must visit as everyone would say.

The hike to the arch is beautiful and fun although there is more elevation gain than you might expect. There were a lot of people on the trail that were really struggling. The arch itself is spectacular and absolutely worth the time and effort to get there.

Awesome and worth the hike into it. Be prepared for the hike! You must reserve your park entry time beforehand.

Best trail we’ve run to date. Every bit as challenging as the ratings say, but soooo much fun. Very manageable if you want to make it easy (moderately) and insanely difficult if you’re up for it. Took us nearly six hours because we stopped a lot to look around.

This is a must do trail when visiting the great town of Moab. Scenic views, fun obstacles and enough entertainment for rigs of all sizes. The trail is always packed so bring food and water and enjoy your time on Hells Revenge!

Amazing views and it was an adrenaline rush from start to finish! We rented 2 seater stock RZR 1000s and they were great on this trail. We didn’t do the more difficult obstacles like hells gate or the escalator. The RZR did fine with Mickeys hot tub though. Hells Revenge and Poison Spider Mesa were our two favorite off road trails in Moab.

Awesome trail! Took our four runner up it, 3 inch lift, basically stock. Most parts of the trail were easy to traverse, we didn't make it up hells gate, maybe next time! Ended up joining up with a bunch of guys from Wisconsin, sorry friendly, definitely more fun being with a group, and much safer!

One of my favorite trails in Moab. Lots of obstacles, some easy, some hard, some with a pucker factor of 10! Great place to test your skills - and don't forget to try Hell's Gate and the escalator!

Fun trail to run, we bypassed some of the obstacles like Mickey’s hot tub and Hell’s gate, probably will come back to run those when we are with a group, definitely recommend this trail!

I have run this trail every year for the last decade, it's always the first trail i hit when getting to town, and the first place i take new visitors. spectacular views, some challenges, but everything has a bypass. this is a trail not to miss.

Second time here and wow again! Absolutely stunning! This place is a nature lover’s dream. The views are incredible, and there’s so much to explore—wear good walking shoes because you’ll definitely get your steps in! No dogs allowed on trails. Bonus points for the clean and well-placed restrooms throughout the park.

An amazing place, and so beautiful, I definitely recommend this place. However, I don't recommend going during summer, it would be to hot and very hard to hiking, especially if you going to visit the Delicate Arch, it is a hard walk if you don't have good condition (like me) and it might take you around one hour and a half, maybe a little bit more just to go up there

Just an amazingly beautiful place to visit. The visitor's center had some great educational sections my Family enjoyed as well. You can choose your own adventure on the hikes and places to go, things are well marked and well kept. Really nice National Park.

One of the most amazing parks I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The roads are accessible, and the views are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend coming here if you ever have the chance.

Probably on my list of top 3 National Parks I have been to till now (only behind Mount Rainier and Yosemite). Must get the timed entry ticket for yourself worth $2 online. That would speed up entry a lot. Other than that the general entry is $35 per vehicle. The drive starting from the entry up until the Wolfe Ranch parking (hiking point for Delicate Arch) is exceptionally beautiful. The Moab fault, the hidden rocks, the balanced rock, the natural arch. Everything is unnaturally beautiful and feels out of this world. Neat and clean washrooms, superbly maintained roads and the overall awe of it. The visitor center closes off at 5 PM so we missed it but the washroom and information centers are clean and maintained as well. It’s one of the must visit National Parks and yes please do stay at Moab.

There are no words to describe the beauty of Arches. Every turn, there is a different rock formation or arch , one more amazing than the next. The hikes range from easy to very challenging, but there's one to match everyone 's ability. The park is clean, well maintained and thankfully no graffiti.

Beyond amazing! The reserved timed entry made getting into the park a breeze. There was ample parking at all the sites. Very well marked and laid out. The rock formations are incredible!!

I started at sunrise. There were two other cars. It's an incredible hike. Some scrambling and light climbing. Filled with stunning views and scenery. The trail travels through and over the rock fins and by several arches.

This trail is very popular and situated at the top end of the road. There's also a camp ground . There's an easier hike that can take you up to the arch. Primitive trail is slightly harder but takes you through very nice places in that 4 mile trail. You won't be disappointed by choosing either option. Remember to carry plenty of water while hiking

THE best part of Arches National Park, bar none. So many arches to hike to and explore, some off the beaten path and a lot of fun. One of my all-time favorite hikes and besides Delicate Arch the most popular (crowded) place at Arches. From the park entrance just follow the park road straight to the end of the line and you’ll end up here. A+ hike!

This was one of my favorite hikes in Utah. Course, most of our hikes were my favorite hike. This one can be tricky...if you chose the best routes ;) I did see some people that were really struggling at some of the more sketchy parts, so I'm not surprised at how many people have tragedies hiking. It was super windy when we were there making it even more precarious, but the sun and clouds were perfect for the views - just a lot of wind noise in our vids :)

I hit this trail as my first hike of the trip that included 5 days in Arches and Canyonlands. I decided on the primitive trail as it is the longer route and is a loop trail. I got onto the trail just before sunrise and was not disappointed by the awe inspiring views. The trail was soft sand to start but firmed up. I did get a bit turned around as there are few trail markers (it's primitive remember) and I followed a trail blazed by others, probably looking for good photo ops. I did finally locate the main trail and was able to help a few people through some tricky terrain to boot. Great hike, highly recommend going early, as the return trail is the route that most of the visitors are going to follow. Leave no trace please.

Fantastic hike, and so different from the Delicate Arch hike! The sandstone fins are beautiful, and the terrain is varied. Gorgeous views across the valley to the snowy mountains. The hardest bit of the hike is the ascent from the Landscape Arch viewpoint up to the higher area with Partition Arch, Navajo Arch, etc. I can imagine it would be tough if you don't have good grip on your shoes or if the rock is wet (it can also get very windy), and we saw several people turn back rather than attempt that particular section. But it was well worth the climb - Partition Arch was our favorite of our whole visit to Arches!!! Absolutely incredible views from up there.

Best hike in the park. Its around 6 miles, not too strenous and the primitive trail is a must do. (Thats part of the 6 miles)

There are several ways to see the sites in Devil's Garden. Each route leads to different and longer destinations. The highlight among those is the Landscape Arch. The shortest way to see it is an out-and-back to a fenced observation area. Be sure to explore and find the spot underneath the arch. Most of the trail is paved.

Easy flat hike and plenty of parking at trail head. Till landscape arch the trail is maintained and this trail also has other beautiful arches in 8 mile loop.

Get an early timed entry. It gets hot quickly. Devil's garden hike is very nice. A little crowded but not bad. All the different arches are beautiful... Don't miss partition. Arch. Probably one of the prettiest in my humble opinion.

You know, I actually took me a second to notice this one, which is crazy because it’s massive and it’s actually the biggest arch in North America and one of the worlds most famous I just found out! It just blends into the landscape so well. So unique and amazing though. If you did the first two arches staring from devils garden this is the third one you’ll see! There’s also a couple hiding around this one too and you can see them when you hike further up! This used to be bigger to but it started falling apart in the 1990s. Posted the two arches before it and the right after I posted the videos of the start of the walk up fins! So cool

It's an easy walk along a wide packed path on rolling terrain to this beautiful arch. I started at sunrise and had it for myself.

Wow, this arch is gorgeous! Just a heads-up, we went at sunset and wished we'd seen it earlier in the day. Sunrise or morning light would really make it pop."

Phenomenal natural bridge in Arches National Park. Definitely a must see! This arch is easy accessible. If you hike further, you can see some additional arches (such as the Navajo Arch and the double O Arch), but these are more difficult to reach. However, the Pine Tree Arch on the other side of Devils Garden is also easy accessible and definitely worth your time!

This is such a beautiful hike. It’s 30 minutes from Moab and starts right next to the Colorado River. There are no fees. It’s family and dog friendly. It gets busy but it’s so large you don’t feel overwhelmed by the people. It’s spring break so lots of families, dogs and students out in hoards out today.

Visited Dec 2024. It is a beautiful hike which is moderate to go with kids and pets. I think the best we hiked in Moab after Arches NP Delicate Arch. There is a train track and you may get lucky to see a train passing by. There is a little chain section which is the only tough part but its doable. The Arch is beautiful and big. Go on a good sunny pleasant day early to start with and carry plenty of water. No shades no where so summer would be tough and plan accordingly. Can be done in 1+ Hour. Scenic all around. A must one to completed in Moab when hiking. Its a Free Hike. Bathrooms at the entrance of Hike and Parking lot. Follow green markings to be on trail

Corona Arch is a MUST SEE while visiting the Moab area. This is a free arch to visit with an intermediate level hike. We made the trek with children ages 5 and 7. If you are planning to visit on a hot day, go early and bring water as well as snacks, there will be direct sunlight and extra heat from the rocks.

You will find the TH near the bend of Colorado River on Potash Rd located north of Moab past Arches NP. Plenty of space for parking with parking lots on both sides of the road, plus vault toilets. The hike is considered moderately difficult as it ascends through dusty desert terrain until you view the Bowtie and Corona Arches from a distance. At that point you will climb chained stairs and a ladder onto slip rock to get closer. Corona is big! 105' tall and 140' wide at its base. Twice as large as Delicate Arch. This is a must do, especially if you don't want the national parks.

Absolutely one of our favorite hikes the whole visit. GO EARLY!! Didn't see anyone till heading back and morning better than the morning light! Gorgeous

Third time doing this hike. Pretty mellow 3mile round trip hike. No $$$$ required, no permits, no schedule.

Small/short hike but well worth the trip. Recommend waiting until after 4:pm, no wait!

Beautiful spot right in between Arches and Canyonlands. Beautiful sites, clean restrooms and wonderful visitors center. The hike around the rim is amazing!! Bring plenty of water!!! Enjoy💖🙏🏻🚎🧘🏻‍♀️

Such a beautiful & grand park. Legend has it Cowboys used to rope off their horses in this area. With no water around where they were fenced off, the horses could see the river below. The horses seeing the river below, with an insatiable thirst as their main drive, would try to traverse the cliffs inevitably falling to their deaths. Pack out what you pack in, leave no trace, take only photos, leave only footprints.

This is one of the places, which caught my attention during my stay in Moab. I had read that Arches National Park required a permit etc, and I didn't have time to be doing all that. But Dead Horse Point State Park came up and I decided to visit there. No permit or reservation required, pay on the gate which was nice and easy, given a map of the park and information on trails etc. There was a gift shop with parking a bit after the entrance, with pull-offs and picnic areas along the road, until I got to the end. The views here were simply breathtaking, a sea of red rock which spanned for miles (reminded me so much of when I visited the Grand Canyon some years back!) There are various viewpoints you can look out from, so be sure to take your time and really enjoy all the views this park has to offer. There are a number of hiking trails too, and places to stop off and enjoy a nice picnic. I was able to leave the park and come back later on that same day, to watch the sun set (a wonderful experience!) just be sure to keep your ticket, otherwise you will have to pay again. A fantastic place to explore, have a picnic and admire the beauty of nature for a while... Definitely recommend!

I recently had the chance to hike at Dead Horse Point State Park, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The views here are absolutely jaw-dropping — some of the most dramatic desert landscapes I’ve ever seen. Towering cliffs, winding canyons, and the Colorado River slicing through it all far below. It feels like you’re walking through a painting. The Dead Horse Point Overlook Trail is short and super accessible, but if you’re up for more adventure, the East Rim and West Rim Trails offer longer loops with equally stunning scenery. I ended up doing a combination of the two, about 5 miles total, and it was the perfect half-day hike. The trails are well-marked and not too difficult — mostly flat with some gentle elevation changes, so it’s doable for most fitness levels. Sunrise and sunset are absolutely magical times to be here. I caught the golden hour at the overlook and watched the sun paint the canyon walls in deep reds and oranges. Unforgettable.

Incredible views, I would call this a must-see when you visit nearby in Utah! I was blown away by not only the overlook of the canyon, but the trails leading around the rim both direction offering new angles and terrain to explore! Note that the path is a bit rocky and does involve some climbing, it may be challenging for those who feel less physically able. However, there is a paved path to the classic, pictured overlook that is easy to reach. What an awesome place to explore! I wish we had longer to stay. 10/10!

This is a great place to watch the sunset when the red rocks glow in the setting sun. The view over the ragged canyons that the Colorado River has shaped are simply fantastic. I always enjoy returning to this state park. There are hiking trails and a very good visitor center.

Cold but beautiful day! Campgrounds look amazing and well cared for. They even have yurts! Trails to hike also. And a gift shop with a small history lesson in the basement.

Very nice visitor center. There are some easy hikes right near the centre itself to see the breathtaking views. There are few public toilets and water filling station at the centre

Very basic center. We almost scrapped the little hike that you have to cross the street in order to see the viewpoint, but we did it as we were leaving and we're not disappointed. Walking a little bit past to the ledge was a highlight with pictures that were much better than at the visitor center end, Plus you were able to see all the way down to the off-road trail below. Pretty neat.

We started our visit of Canyonlands National Park at the Island in the Sky Visitor Center. It was very busy when we arrived. We were able to fill up our water jugs there. The Visitor Center provided us with information and maps to plan our visit in the Island in the Sky section of the park. There were some displays exhibits and a gift shop as well. Right across the street there is an awesome viewpoint of a canyon with the La Sal mountains in the background.

Amazing National Park. We did the windshield tour (drove to the parking lot areas and walked to the overlooks) and we were all blown away. We were there on February 5th so the weather was in the sixties and the crowds were thin. An incredible park and we were there when we had a clear view of the La Sal mountains which provided a great backdrop to the east

Beautiful National Park!! The views are almost endless with some of the best red rock colors and deep Canyons, around 2000 feet to the Green River. Be mindful of the edges when off the sidewalks and out on the hikes!! We hiked to Murphys Point Overlook, 3.6 miles round trip. We did an overnight on October 2022 on the White Rim Trail camping at Murphys Hogback. There is plenty of hiking and off-road trails to explore in the area.

Canyonlands National Park is a nice trip. You can drive the park, with stops at the scenic viewpoints, in about 2 hours.

Great visitor center! There is a scenic view across the street that would be hard to beat.

I had an amazing hike filled with stunning views and scenery. I followed the east rim out and came back on the main trail.

We walked the extra 2 miles out & back along the rim for even more spectacular views on both sides. Towards Green River & Candlestick as well as Colorado River towards needles park.

Definitely take the easy out and back hike to get to this viewpoint, nothing strenuous but a much better view out into the maze and excellent views north toward the solitary candlestick spire. Can also get an even higher vantage by climbing up the rock stack at the end of the trail.

The Grand View Point Overlook and Trailhead and trail is located at the southern end of the Grand View Point Road in the Island In The Sky District of the Canyonlands National Park. It has quite a few parking space, but always full, even in early spring (early April)when I was there. I had to circle around for 10, 15 minutes before I can find a spot. The trail is a short, paved sidewalk leads to a spectacular viewpoint. From there you can hike an additional mile to a second viewpoint. This trail can be rough, uneven, and requires walking up and down a rocky hill and stone steps. It is not accessible to wheelchairs. The initial stone steps are very high, and for those that have knee problems need to be careful. This trail follows the canyon edge, and visitors needs to stay away from the rim to avoid falling over the edge. Just below the edge of the cliff is the White Rim area made up of White Rim Sandstone which is a hard sandstone which forms a sharply defined rim above the lower level canyon below. The white rim area is about 1,300 feet below the rim you are standing on. You may see the White Rim Road where Park visitors with four-wheel-drive vehicles experience the backcountry on this 100-mile dirt road. Below the White Rim Area is the Monument Basin where you can see the Totem Pole which is a spire of eroded sandstone that stands 300+ feet above the Basin floor. Just to the right are eroded rocks that formed steep-sided walls, columns and pinnacles. The Colorado River Canyon is further away and is even deeper below the Monument Basin, and from where you are, the river cuts so deeply it is not visible. Far away on the left side of the horizon is the La Sal Mountains. And to the right of the horizon are the Needles area of Canyonlands NP about 12 miles distance south of here. The Colorado River flows from left to right, and will confluence with the Green River in your extreme right direction.

This is the highlight of the Canyonlands! You will be mindblown. We went at sunset and highly impressed with the grandeur of this canyon. You can just sit here and watch for hours. It’s so beautiful and insanely vast!

By far my favorite view in Utah! 🏜️ Like the Grand Canyon with no one there. And the SUNSETS 🌅 WOW 🤩 Do not miss this place! About a mile flat elevation hike to the main spot with the best view. Bring your good walking shoes because it’s not that flat with multiple undulations and strange shapes rocks.

Worth the drive to see iconic beauty

Great park. Incredible views and did the Grand View hike (1.8 miles round trip). Hiked in late April on a day that was about 70 degrees and sunny with a nice breeze. Perfect weather. Hike offered more time to soak up the views as it was mostly on the rim. Good exercise but not strenuous. There is no shade so come prepared on a hot day. They do drop off busses of people so it can be a little busy but spread out over the trail you can find some peace and quiet.

We were there on a Friday, March, 21st. Hardly any lines and worth every second of our time! The scenes were vast and jaw dropping! We met amazing people along our way from all across America and even internationally (Canada,Paris and London)! What an amazing day! Highly recommend!

This park is hundreds of miles huge. Divided into 4 districts. We chose to explore the Island in the Sky district. It was surprisingly beautiful! The road is paved and loads of turn outs to view. There are restrooms and picnic tables scattered throughout. Take a map when you check in! Small visitor center has more info, The road is a loop with a couple of turn offs, take all tree and go look. You can park and hike moderate trails to see more. Do it if you can. Loved this park. Next time we will explore the rivers district. Water still too cold in April.

Incredible park. I think like with a lot of people, we had it tacked into the end of a trip of the big parks going East from Nevada and didn't know as much about it. If I was doing the same trip again, I'd allot at least 3 days to explore this park. We had 1.5 days and that was only enough to drive around Island in the Sky and do a couple of really short hikes. The views when you first get to the parks visitor centre are overwhelming, and it only gets better from there.

Canyonlands did not disappoint, From the beautiful drive in to the friendly staff at visitor center was an amazing start. Then the real treat started with amazing awe inspiring views and scenes at every turn. Had to just sit back and take as much in as possible, Next time we will be spending multiple days here to explore this amazing National park.

This is my favorite national park! There is so much to offer when it comes to off-roading, remoteness, slot canyons, petroglyphs, canyons, caves, stars, creeks, wildlife, foliage, and rangers. I can’t wait to go back to Dollhouse.

What can I say, it's my favorite of the mighty 5. The vastness of the three districts is humbling. Come prepared. The time it takes to explore them all is wild. I've visited multiple times over the last 10 years and still just scratched the surface. A must see national park.

Amazing quite place to view the mineral deposits. Beautiful yellow, brown, green, orange & red colours in patches. No sign for the Crystal Geyser. Not easy to reach there but Google map works. Waited for a while but unfortunately couldn’t see the geyser eruption, it was bubbling though.

Convenient and pretty distraction if you need a break to stretch your legs while driving I-70 across Utah. Its not breathtaking as is numerous other Utah parks. But nice just the same. Ten miles of solid dirt road easily driven in a car when dry.

This is a pretty cool geyser, and it’s got a lot of great camping around it. The geyser goes off and then goes off into the green river

The road isn’t bad, easily by car. Lots of parking. No restroom. The flow down the side of the hill into the river is fascinating. As far as we can tell the “eruption “ isn’t on a schedule so enjoy it for what it is. Only one of 15 of this type in the world, or so we read. Worth the short drive.

Very interesting place to visit. We weren’t able to get too close because there was a lot water on the ground around it. It was bubbling close to the ground. We walked around into the nearby hills. Neat place!

Was a fun place to let the kids explore. The geyser never went off during the hour or so we were exploring.

Great side trip from Green River. Google maps will take you right to the geyser - little chance of getting lost. The first few miles are on a paved(rough) road. When the pavement ends you will see the only sign pointing right. From here you are on a well graded dirt/gravel road with only a few sections of washboarding as obstacles. Any car should be able to handle this. OK this isn’t Old Faithful but no crowding or killer bison.

Great local museum currently housing the “Glen Canyon Exposed” exhibit. The “Glen Canyon Exposed: Now and Then" is an excellent photography exhibit at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum that contrasts Tad Nichols’ 1950s images of Glen Canyon before its submersion with Dawn Kish’s recent photos of the landscape reemerging as Lake Powell recedes. Using Nichols’ original camera, Kish revisits his sites, capturing the canyon’s transformation and resilience. The exhibit invites reflection on environmental loss, restoration, and the enduring impact of human intervention on nature. The exhibit will be there until April of 2026.

Unhesitatingly recommended. An exceptionally detailed insight into the Green and Colorado Rivers and their tributaries, the geology and its impact on river flows, the extensive outlaw history, the river exploration history and of course the watermen of the river many of whom are recognized in a hall of fame area. Some outstanding graphs include the river elevation and damage placements from the mountains to the lowlands and the trail delineations by explorers.

Nice little museum that focuses on the exploration of the Green River by John Wesley Powell. Some references to indigenous peoples too, but would appreciate if they would include some natives in the curation, to bring in a different/ enriched perspective of the river and its surroundings. The riverwalk is lovely.

My car broke down on a Friday night, so I had to get a room down the interstate in Green River, UT, and I couldn't have been happier with a small town. As I was lucky to have the local mechanic help me out by getting my car back in the road that day, I still had a full day to see the town. Lucky for me the museum was right next door. For a $7 adult ticket, that is good for 7 days, I got to learn a lot about the town and surrounding area. I can't recommend the museum enough.

You will learn a lot about JW Powell here. I didn’t know that he lost an arm in the war. A lot of pictures and captions/details about his life and exploration but not a ton of interactive things for the kids. They were interested for a few minutes but there are only so many pics/reading you can do. My big hang up was the price. A little steep for the quality of the museum. It’s something to see if you are in Green River but not a destination museum by any means.

Highly recommend watching the movie first before moving onto the exhibits. The exhibits ranged from the geological history of the area, the pioneers, indigenous tribes, to prominent people who all lived and explored the area. Restrooms are located outside the building and where very clean. Gift shop was large and had many items to choose from. Resting areas outdoors, and even a tesla charge up station.

More impressed than I expected to be. I learned a lot about the river running experience from Powell through today. We spent 2 hours. They have a well done movie that runs every 30 minutes. Watch it first then visit exhibits. We also enjoyed the displays on the outside deck while we waited for them to open. My favorite thing were the hall of fame stories, very interesting. Dinosaurs in the lower level will appeal to kids.

Just finished an 8 day Grand Canyon Float with CRATE and it was probably the coolest thing I have ever done!!! CRATE and their guides are top notch in every way. Would not float with anyone else!!! I highly recommend CRATE!!!

I can't correctly describe our experience with CRATE. We just got off a 4day row /ranch trip with Sebrina as head of crew and KC or Cassie as our row guide. I came to row so I chose to row as much as possible. IT WAS FANTASTIC! IT WAS AMAZING! It was something I will never forget and something I intend to do every year until my bones push up daisies! The best rafting trip and crew I have ever been on... Thank you!

Did 6 day women's solstice raft on green river. Great experience. Ģuides were superb - accomplished boatmen as well as great cooks, fun to be with. Good hikes with local interpretation. Very accommodating for All fitness levels. I recommend this company highly. They couldn't be nicer or more sincere. The scenery is spectacular and there are good wildlife watching opportunities.

Wow, I cannot say ENOUGH how amazing CRATE was for my August 2018 trip. I've always wanted to raft the Grand Canyon and I couldn't imagine doing it without this family-owned company. From the amazing pre-trip orientation with Bonnie at our hotel in Vegas, the comfortable bus ride out to Fredonia and of course our ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Boat Captains, Walker, and Johnny Ringo, but our Swampers were out of this world too, Yendor, Nayr and Robbie. These folks made our trip truly life-changing, interesting, and fun from the minute we met them at the warehouse. Not ONLY were they completely patient with those on our trip who weren't used to rafting, but they answered every stupid question un-related to rafting that we had-about the animals, their personal lives, stars, planets, their best stories, nothing was off limits with them. Walker's knowledge and obvious passion for the river and his stewardship of the Colorado and the Canyon are apparent in every conversation and action. His ability to make you feel completely comfortable with him from the first minute you meet him, and to make the canyon feel as much like home to us as it is to him, is one that not many have. Johnny Ringo, well, if you've met the man then no explanation needed :D A great personality and hilarious, sometimes subtle, sense of humor and his obvious geology nerdery made his boat fun for all. The fact that he too embraces a costume at camp made us kindred spirits. Yendor, Nayr, and Robbie-the best swampers we could have asked for! Always willing to help, always willing to laugh and so helpful with all the things. The side trips, the waterfalls, the hikes, the out-of-this-world-couldn't-possibly-be-real views, the histories, the connection to place...all happened because of the care that CRATE puts into and behind their business. You know that it is a passion for them first and a business endeavor second. EVERY thought was taken care of: comfortable cots with sleeping pads/bags, ground cover, chairs with backs and MY GOD THE FOOD! I don't eat that well when I'm at home, never would have expected I would eat better/more while on a secluded river trip. There's not enough that I could say about this company, they are amazing in every sense of the word and I cannot wait to get back on to the river with them! And awaaaaaaaaay we go!
