Canyonlands seems to fall in the shadow of the more popular Arches National Park since they are located near each other. The northern end of the park is a lot like the Grand Canyon. You enter the park and drive on top of a mesa. Most lookouts and trails over look a canyon. Hence the name, Canyonlands. Don’t miss out on this beautiful Park. It is well worth the visit. We were there on a Friday, March, 21st. Hardly any lines and worth every second of our time! The scenes were vast and jaw dropping! We met amazing people along our way from all across America and even internationally (Canada,Paris and London)! What an amazing day! Highly recommend!

Incredible park. I think like with a lot of people, we had it tacked into the end of a trip of the big parks going East from Nevada and didn't know as much about it. If I was doing the same trip again, I'd allot at least 3 days to explore this park. We had 1.5 days and that was only enough to drive around Island in the Sky and do a couple of really short hikes. The views when you first get to the parks visitor centre are overwhelming, and it only gets better from there.

The views of this place were👌amazing. There were multiple viewpoints where you could see canyons inside of canyons. And areas where you could see pictographs and also a cliff dwelling.

This was our second stop on our bug 5 national park trip. The views are amazing especially mesa arch we will be back to do the off road trail.

We had passed by this museum several times, thinking the entrance fee was a bit high, but today we finally decided to check it out—and overall, we enjoyed it! There are great play areas for kids, a space for drawing with chalk, and sandboxes where you can dig up dinosaur bones (it would be great if the excavation tools were updated). The size of the dinosaurs is truly impressive. Both kids and adults had a great time!

What a fun time! We went at 3pm on a Tuesday ans there was no one else here, so it was just us and the dinosaurs! The trail takes about half hour or so if you stop and see all the dinos. It's a beautiful landscape and the life sized dinos feels like it takes you back in time. The trail goes in chronological order through the geological eras so you can see the progression of the kinds of dinosaurs as time goes on. The models were fantastic and looked so real! It was very hot even at the end of September. There is a little shade along the way but make sure you have proper attire and water for the adventure. The museum is small and doesn't take too long. We didn't do the other attractions due to time restrictions. We did spend probably an hour or so there and it was worth it. If you love dinosaurs, I do recommend it! Also if you love dinosaurs, also check out the Mill Canyon dinosaur track site not too far away.

Even at 37 years old, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Moab Giants. My husband and I got the package that included everything but gaming. The 5d aquarium was really awesome! I don't want to give it away but you will feel something physically. Also, I really liked how the outside part had the dinosaurs in different eras. It allowed you to see what dinosaurs lived when throughout history. Everyone who worked there was very friendly! I feel like it would be a bit pricy for families but we thoroughly enjoyed our time@

This is a great stop. It would be perfect if you have children! We explored the museum and dinosaur trail. Very well put together displays in the museum. Especially loved the “old time movie camera” that brought the dinosaurs to life! The dinosaur trail was fun with all the life sized realistic dinosaur replicas! Great gift shop and very friendly and helpful staff. A shout out to Jennifer!

This would be a great place to bring your kids, especially if they love dinosaurs. It would be better to visit when it's not 105 degrees outside. The cashier did give us a free bottle of water once we paid since it was so hot outside. They had good displays. We did think the 3D Aquarium was nice. There were a lot of dinosaurs along the trail. It's a bit pricey, but dinosaur enthusiasts will enjoy it.

We took our 5 "children" to see the Moab Giants today. Jennifer sold us our passes and was very informative. Am elderly couple gave us an inside tour of some real dinosaur bones and footprints. The kids really enjoyed the playground and seeing the life-size dinosaurs. Great stop on your way into Moab.

It it worth visiting to take a walk among dinosaurs. The aquarium. 5d experience is really good. The gift shop is nice. They offer a military discount. Even with that, the cost is expensive. There is a 3d movie as well. That was nice to watch if weren't for the fact that it only advocates a big bang as the only way life happens. Not one mention of "theory".

Beautiful spot right in between Arches and Canyonlands. Beautiful sites, clean restrooms and wonderful visitors center. The hike around the rim is amazing!! Bring plenty of water!!! Enjoy💖🙏🏻🚎🧘🏻‍♀️

Such a beautiful & grand park. Legend has it Cowboys used to rope off their horses in this area. With no water around where they were fenced off, the horses could see the river below. The horses seeing the river below, with an insatiable thirst as their main drive, would try to traverse the cliffs inevitably falling to their deaths. Pack out what you pack in, leave no trace, take only photos, leave only footprints.

This is one of the places, which caught my attention during my stay in Moab. I had read that Arches National Park required a permit etc, and I didn't have time to be doing all that. But Dead Horse Point State Park came up and I decided to visit there. No permit or reservation required, pay on the gate which was nice and easy, given a map of the park and information on trails etc. There was a gift shop with parking a bit after the entrance, with pull-offs and picnic areas along the road, until I got to the end. The views here were simply breathtaking, a sea of red rock which spanned for miles (reminded me so much of when I visited the Grand Canyon some years back!) There are various viewpoints you can look out from, so be sure to take your time and really enjoy all the views this park has to offer. There are a number of hiking trails too, and places to stop off and enjoy a nice picnic. I was able to leave the park and come back later on that same day, to watch the sun set (a wonderful experience!) just be sure to keep your ticket, otherwise you will have to pay again. A fantastic place to explore, have a picnic and admire the beauty of nature for a while... Definitely recommend!

I recently had the chance to hike at Dead Horse Point State Park, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The views here are absolutely jaw-dropping — some of the most dramatic desert landscapes I’ve ever seen. Towering cliffs, winding canyons, and the Colorado River slicing through it all far below. It feels like you’re walking through a painting. The Dead Horse Point Overlook Trail is short and super accessible, but if you’re up for more adventure, the East Rim and West Rim Trails offer longer loops with equally stunning scenery. I ended up doing a combination of the two, about 5 miles total, and it was the perfect half-day hike. The trails are well-marked and not too difficult — mostly flat with some gentle elevation changes, so it’s doable for most fitness levels. Sunrise and sunset are absolutely magical times to be here. I caught the golden hour at the overlook and watched the sun paint the canyon walls in deep reds and oranges. Unforgettable.

Incredible views, I would call this a must-see when you visit nearby in Utah! I was blown away by not only the overlook of the canyon, but the trails leading around the rim both direction offering new angles and terrain to explore! Note that the path is a bit rocky and does involve some climbing, it may be challenging for those who feel less physically able. However, there is a paved path to the classic, pictured overlook that is easy to reach. What an awesome place to explore! I wish we had longer to stay. 10/10!

This is a great place to watch the sunset when the red rocks glow in the setting sun. The view over the ragged canyons that the Colorado River has shaped are simply fantastic. I always enjoy returning to this state park. There are hiking trails and a very good visitor center.

We had the opportunity to visit Dead Horse Point State Park in Moab, UT in June 2015 before flying home. What a beautiful park to check out if you are ever in the area - the canyons and the views were truly amazing and for me... they were something you just can't capture through a camera lens like you can see with your eyes!

Just finished an 8 day Grand Canyon Float with CRATE and it was probably the coolest thing I have ever done!!! CRATE and their guides are top notch in every way. Would not float with anyone else!!! I highly recommend CRATE!!!

I can't correctly describe our experience with CRATE. We just got off a 4day row /ranch trip with Sebrina as head of crew and KC or Cassie as our row guide. I came to row so I chose to row as much as possible. IT WAS FANTASTIC! IT WAS AMAZING! It was something I will never forget and something I intend to do every year until my bones push up daisies! The best rafting trip and crew I have ever been on... Thank you!

Did 6 day women's solstice raft on green river. Great experience. Ģuides were superb - accomplished boatmen as well as great cooks, fun to be with. Good hikes with local interpretation. Very accommodating for All fitness levels. I recommend this company highly. They couldn't be nicer or more sincere. The scenery is spectacular and there are good wildlife watching opportunities.

Wow, I cannot say ENOUGH how amazing CRATE was for my August 2018 trip. I've always wanted to raft the Grand Canyon and I couldn't imagine doing it without this family-owned company. From the amazing pre-trip orientation with Bonnie at our hotel in Vegas, the comfortable bus ride out to Fredonia and of course our ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Boat Captains, Walker, and Johnny Ringo, but our Swampers were out of this world too, Yendor, Nayr and Robbie. These folks made our trip truly life-changing, interesting, and fun from the minute we met them at the warehouse. Not ONLY were they completely patient with those on our trip who weren't used to rafting, but they answered every stupid question un-related to rafting that we had-about the animals, their personal lives, stars, planets, their best stories, nothing was off limits with them. Walker's knowledge and obvious passion for the river and his stewardship of the Colorado and the Canyon are apparent in every conversation and action. His ability to make you feel completely comfortable with him from the first minute you meet him, and to make the canyon feel as much like home to us as it is to him, is one that not many have. Johnny Ringo, well, if you've met the man then no explanation needed :D A great personality and hilarious, sometimes subtle, sense of humor and his obvious geology nerdery made his boat fun for all. The fact that he too embraces a costume at camp made us kindred spirits. Yendor, Nayr, and Robbie-the best swampers we could have asked for! Always willing to help, always willing to laugh and so helpful with all the things. The side trips, the waterfalls, the hikes, the out-of-this-world-couldn't-possibly-be-real views, the histories, the connection to place...all happened because of the care that CRATE puts into and behind their business. You know that it is a passion for them first and a business endeavor second. EVERY thought was taken care of: comfortable cots with sleeping pads/bags, ground cover, chairs with backs and MY GOD THE FOOD! I don't eat that well when I'm at home, never would have expected I would eat better/more while on a secluded river trip. There's not enough that I could say about this company, they are amazing in every sense of the word and I cannot wait to get back on to the river with them! And awaaaaaaaaay we go!

I had an amazing hike filled with stunning views and scenery. I followed the east rim out and came back on the main trail.

We walked the extra 2 miles out & back along the rim for even more spectacular views on both sides. Towards Green River & Candlestick as well as Colorado River towards needles park.

Short and easy walk from parking lot. It is definitely a worthy view.

This was a pretty cool place! It's a little too close to Arches to give it a 5 date but it's definitely pretty siq.

Great trail, sharp cliffs, watch your little ones or leave them at home. Breathtaking views of the white rim canyon, needles, and Green River. Begging your lunch and have a picnic with your loved one at the drop off. We did and it was incredible. Nice easy walk to the end of the mesa. Our kids were 7, 12, and 16 and it was still hard monitor their safety, since their curiosity was stronger than parent's pleads for staying off the edges. Overall an awesome walk. Recommend to anyone who enjoys outdoors and amazing views.

This is the highlight of the Canyonlands! You will be mindblown. We went at sunset and highly impressed with the grandeur of this canyon. You can just sit here and watch for hours. It’s so beautiful and insanely vast!

Among the most colossally underrated view points I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The surreal hike here from the parking lot is a very easy hike for hikers of any experience level, including families - though walking right along the edge of the cliffs will probably not be for everyone, including those with a fear of heights! The final view point provides a view that rivals - if not even beats - the likes of The Grand Canyon, and if you can find a time to come here when there are few people - like in late fall / early winter, experiencing the tranquility of this otherworldly view should be at the top of your list of things to do in Southern Utah.

I went there for a quick run and got done in 28 minutes. It had families and couple spaced throughout the trail. The trail is a 2 mile out and back. There is about 475 feet of elevation gain. Make sure you use wide angle on your pictures at the bridge.

Great hike with beautiful views from the start. The bridge is 133 feet long. The trail is about 2 miles out and back with 400 feet elevation change. The biggest incline is in the beginning of the trail. Decent size of the parking lot and the bathroom at the trail head.

Easy to Moderate difficulty level hiking trail 🥾 This trail is located in the Capital Reef National Park! After having visited 12+ National Parks during our roadtrip, we realized this is the most underrated park 🏞️ The changing landscape offers beautiful views on the way 😍 The trail is well maintained and has great views. The Hickman Bridge is one of the best arches we saw on our Utah roadtrip. Definitely worth visiting this National Park and doing this hike.😊

Great camping, great hiking, great National Park! We stayed Friday-Monday and had plenty of time to explore and relax. Try the 🥧 pies and if you are early enough to snag a cinnamon roll they are a must!

I liked this park a lot. I feel like it’s a bit underrated compared to others in the area. We went on a weekend in late April and there weren’t too many crowds. There is no service so download your offline maps to stay prepared :) bring lots of water as the hikes do not have much shade

This is a gorgeous national park!! However, right now, too much is closed to give 4 or 5 stars. Almost all of the scenic drive, including many popular hiking trails. Parking and trailhead to Chimney rock, and the visitor center parking has only about 10 spots due to construction. Growing pains, I know. The Rangers were friendly and helpful. Gifford house is adorable and has delicious baked goods.

This national park is not visited as much, I don't think. The roads are under repair currently probably due to some flooding or other weather related problems. Lots of red rock wonders to see in close proximity to the visitors center. It's well worth seeing and hiking the trails.

I went to the center to get maps for off-roading and they have the maps right at the front door. It is very convenient. There also happened to be a park employee restocking the maps when I went to grab one. I had just finished hiking Hickman Bridge and there was a nice shoe brush at the edge of the parking lot. It worked well to clean my shoes. There was a lot of parking in the parking lot too. The accessible parking was very convenient too.

First off the park is absolutely gorgeous and nice to drive thru. FYI the scenic drive is closed for the summer and doesn’t say when it will reopen. Now onto why I have given it three stars, we stopped at the visitors/information center of Capitol Reef NP and there was an absolutely rude ass he/she working at the desk and snatched my annual pass and ID right out of my hand before I wanted to give it away because at the time we wasn’t sure if we were going to drive thru. Then he/she basically looked at us and said what do you need, he/she was very annoyed that we had questions and wasn’t helpful at all. I get you see 10000s of people a day probably with the same questions but maybe shouldn’t be behind the visitors desk if your visitors skills aren’t up to par.

A nice visitor center. Has parking, information desk, a small museum and a gift shop. Steady stream of visitors, but not crazy. We visited in July, so less visitors due to the heat. Unfortunately, the scenic ride through the park was closed for road construction. Summer is the only time that has the temperature needed to lay the asphalt used. We did explore Sulphur Creek across the street

I took my husband here for his birthday, we have been meaning to visit for a couple years now. The spring soak passes were expensive but worth it to us. The stay in the bus would be a three star from us. For how much they charge you would expect a more effective why to heat the area up like propane, there was a space heater and a heating pad on the bed. we visited in February, it snowed and leaked water on half the queen bed. Also there was no way to lock up the bus, again for how much is charged, a lock and key doesn’t seem like a big ask. We locked all our valuables in our car when we left it unattended. It was a corky place to visit, we purchased our soaked pass to be during the sunset. It was windy and rainy but the water was hot and view did not disappoint. I would visit to hot springs again but I sadly would not choose to stay at the location.

Mystic is a no frills place with stunning views and unique cast iron tubs. There are bathrooms are the office area and a port a potty that is somewhat close to the building by the main pool. The temperatures were not predictable, but there was a person coming by to check on them. When you make a reservation you call the number at the office to check in, it was easy and flexible.

This place is so much fun!!! I stayed in the Bertha bus overnight and soaked in the hot springs. The bus had a space heater and electric blanket, so I was nice and toasty. The hot springs didn't stink, so I soaked as long as I could. I'm definitely coming back!

10/10 worth visiting will be back soon. The staff was amazing and very accomodating. The Peacocks were fun and the property is beautifully rustic.

Fantastic experience for our family while passing through. We were looking for a place to spend the night but also wanted to try something fun, rather than just camping another night. We were not disappointed with the springs at all. The staff were very inviting & friendly. The springs were just a short walk from the camp site and were easy to locate. The lower, bigger springs had stair cases, and the upper tubs required a little bit of climbing but not too difficult. The water was a perfect warm temperature, even with it being around 90F that day. The whole family enjoyed the relaxation, even our youngest toddler. I would recommend reserving your pass to the springs ahead of time on their website. Adults were $25 and children were $12. The campsite offered most all amenities, including full hookups, bathrooms with showers, gift shop, a grass area in the center, and picnic tables. The RV campsites were mainly gravel with a little dirt. Overall, I would say that the campgrounds could use a little work but would still recommend others to visit.

We read about this place online before starting our trip through Utah and put a day aside that we'd make it to the area. We didn't book it as it was non-refundable and we had uncertainty about the time of our arrival to the area. We showed up mid afternoon, parked the car, went to the office which was locked. Walked around the back, no one around with signs about private, do not enter, etc. We went to the large metal gate that was closed and walked around it to see if we could find someone. We didn't call the number as it's expensive on our phone and we didn't know if anyone would answer as there were only a few people going in and out of the change room. We made our way past the RV park of old buses, up a hill with more very old looking vehicles and structures, saw a dog, that's it. We kept going and came to the lower pools, each of which had a couple in it, very cozy with each other. The water temperature was warm in the smaller one and cooler in the larger one. We saw the notches in the path hill to go up to the upper areas, with no hand railing or anything to help one climb up, and decided it wasn't for us. When decending, we encountered a man who asked if we had called the number to check in. We said no and that was the extent of any assistance. We took a few photos of the scenery and left. The location is an absolutely beautiful area, I wish I had been able to experience it but it's quite a physical barrier and not very visitor friendly. I've enjoyed natural hot springs in Iceland and Azores without issue, too bad this time around.

Five stars for the hot springs, one star for the bus, so three stars altogether. The springs are gorgeous! We got a pass for 9pm in early April and had them all to ourselves, and it was perfect! Despite light snow, we were warm enough that the walk back to the showers wasn't cold at all! Loved it! (Will say, the bathrooms were struggling quite a bit though.) The bus was another story... We stayed in the Ben Bus, so I can't speak for the others, but I doubt they're different. I'd describe them as dirty, grungy hippy, not cute, vintage hippy. Just felt really gross. Somebody literally wrote on the wall "we're here for the vibes, not the hygiene." Crude graffiti everywhere, would not bring kids who can read... Seriously wondered how many stds were wandering around that place... No locks on the door, and it didn't even shut all the way, so it was really drafty and cold. We found a hornet and got it out, thankfully, but there are a lot of holes in the bus for bugs and critters to get in. Thankfully we weren't there in the summer... Bus was on an incline, so we had to flip the bed around to avoid sleeping downhill. There was nowhere to hang towels or swimsuits to dry. They don't have running water, a microwave, or a hot plate to cook on. There is a microwave available, but it's on the back porch of the office, so if it's cold, it's not ideal. Also, the bathrooms were real bad... Curtains instead of stall doors, and the showers were dirty and had exposed concrete and hardware everywhere. If they just put a little more effort into improving and maintaining the place, it'd be fantastic, but as it is, it wasn't very good quality. Altogether, it was worth it to try once, and we'll probably come back, but we'd camp, which is basically what the busses were anyway.

If you don't want to wait in a lift line, this is the place for you. It's beautiful with a variety of terrain to ski. The place is probably one of the most affordable places to ski in Utah. Kids under 12 ski for free here. There's 2 lodges, but the canyon lodge is bigger and better.

For a Salt Lake Skier, it is way out of the way. However, I buy the passes way in advance to get a bigger discount. I like bringing my kids here. The resort is low key and the staff is friendly. Never have to wait too long to get on a lift. They have a good long green run that is great to teach on. I do think the resort runs a little on the colder side. Not a problem but, something that should be considered the math when taking kids. Note: The area has bad cell coverage but, they have free wifi at the lodge. Their blacks are not the hardest blacks but, for kids, they love to brag that they can ski black at Eagle Point.

I made a stop here on my way to Salt Lake and ended up staying 2 nights and snowboarding both days. The room was pretty cool right on the mountain although snow conditions weren’t the best for ski in ski out room. I got a flat tire the first night I was there (Sunday night) and there was nothing to be done until the next day. I gotta praise and give a shout out to Steven, he’s part of the maintenance team there and he saved my ass. He went above and beyond to help me swap my tire out and get me back on the road. Also shout out Blake one of the managers there who made sure I was taken care of and kept me in the loop of things. No one had to go out of their way to help me , but they did anyway. Amazing people at this resort!

On closing day April 6th 2025, the resort was pretty much empty and we totally had a lot of fun that day. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be returning back every year.

Super impressed w the service I received today/ ski patrol- Mark was super helpful from the beginning of my day. Went to sign up for Lessons for my 7 yr old and Chad and Darrin went above and beyond in getting me the help I needed. Darrin was super patient with my daughter and she started out as a tough girl to please😩 I’ll just say that. She came back w a smile on her face and was ready to ski with our group. It takes a village to raise kiddos and everyone really stepped up. We will Definitely be back. Highly recommend. Great snow and runs as well. The Lift operators were impressive and everyone there seems like they enjoy their jobs. Makes A Difference- thank you

I booked this trip for my 4 children for Christmas this year, I used your website and found the best available for our family's needs. We were so excited to arrive and enjoy our weekend at your facility. When we arrived and walked into the condo, I was surprised at how dirty it seemed to be. There was water leaking out from under the fridge, the stove was on, the kitchen window was cracked open. The kitchen was so dirty before I could do anything I had to clean it. There were coffee grounds all over the countertops, the fridge was dirty, and I had to pull drawers out before I could put anything away. There was one dish towel in the kitchen. I was surprised that there was not a broom to be able to sweep up the floors as well. My kids started putting things into the rooms and my 20-year-old daughter came down and stated that she found two used Band-Aids on top of her bed!! I was like no way! So, then we decided to check things out a bit more. There was a pillow on the bed that also had dirt/mud on it. I am unsure at this point if the sheets have been changed. The basement bedroom door was not locked (which leads me to wonder if someone had been staying there without permission?) The upstairs bathroom was dirty and there was a smear of what looked like dirt and blood splatter on the wall. Behind the toilets and the floors have not been cleaned in a while. I did contact them and they sent someone the following day by noon. Which was half way into our stay. Changed the sheets and then vacumned. Needless to say I left the place cleaner than I found it. I was not impressed with how the issue was handled and the way that they reacted to the issues.

It’s an awesome vacation spot! We had a day of altitude sickness, though, so if you’re prone to it, don’t forget to bring an oxygen booster when you head up the mountain. My son took his first skiing lesson and benefited a lot from it. The staff provided excellent service, and we spent Christmas 2024 here. 🥳😊

Such a lovely, knowledgeable, professional experience. The array of telescopes they have and the variety of what they present is magnificent. We saw so much, and really got a sense of the expanse of stars in our neighborhood and beyond. Seth was super helpful and entertaining, always willing to explain the astronomy and answer any questions. The pregame video and post game fair me paradox presentation were also excellent. Since it was a full moon, we saw less of the sky, but an amazing up close view of the moon. It got very cold, as they warned us, and since you aren’t moving around a lot, you feel it. Hand warmers, and one more layer than you think you’ll need are recommended. They also have extra blankets and extra coats for you to borrow.

Booked this tour 2 hours before it was due to begin, and we are so glad we did! This became one of the highlights of our entire road trip. The energy that Logan and Eddie (sorry may have gotten his name wrong) brought to the whole tour was amazing, and they were able to share their passion and deep, deep knowledge of astronomy and conservation with us, expertly fielding questions along the whole way. The most exciting bit for me was being able to see Saturn through the telescope, and the binary gold and blue stars. Highly recommend to bring layers and a jacket to keep warm as it gets cold out there even in winter. We booked a zero gravity chair but ended up not using it at all as we were mainly using the telescopes.

This was such a cool experience. I loved that they tailored it to audience interest. It was partly cloudy, but we saw incredible things, and the dark rangers pivoted quickly if clouds overtook a telescope's view. We are all English speakers, but they seemed to be versed in working with audience's who didn't primarily speak English.

We just got back from the Dark Ranger Telescope Tour and it was incredible! Seth was our guide and he was amazing – super helpful and knew the answer to every question. We learned so much and would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the planets, stars etc.

The telescopes were amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. My suggestion however would be that I feel more than one person should be there to help and the one presenting needs to demand the attention of the customers while telling us what stars/plants/clusters the telescopes are on while the other helps do whatever needs done with the telescopes. Half The time I had no idea what I was looking at because everyone was talking and I couldn't hear the guide explain what we were looking at in each telescope. There was a kid there who kept moving the telescope and the guide would have to come behind and fix it every time which took away from questions that could have been asked/answered and such. Overall the experience was good but definitely at least two employees, I feel, need to be there.

We booked here in the recommendation of my SIL. The guides were great and full of information. We spent at least two hours here looking at the different stars and galaxies, and planets. The kids were not the least bit bored but unfortunately definitely cold. So if you’re not from the area, the temperature really does drop drop at night… dress warm, like under layer, gloves, and hats. They do provide blankets and hot drinks but my kids are a bit squeamish about shared blankets. I’m pretty sure if we drove out to Bryce Canyon somewhere to look at the stars on our own, the kids would have been bored after ten minutes so i consider this tour time and money well spent.

Excellent experience. The Dark Ranger does a fabulous job explaining how to use a telescope and then finding amazing things to look at. Plus the sarcasm and dad/nerd jokes were on point! Be sure to dress warm.

Out of this world, red rocks all over, definitely worth a visit. The Bryce visitor center is the first thing you see after entering red canyon, there are many trails to explore. Try the Bryce pones restaurant next for a break, good salads.

Just Wow. This is an awesome place to visit. Just the beautiful drive through the park alone is worth the entry fee especiallysince its free.. The tunnels are a sight to behold. The rock formations and colors are awesome. There are several pulloffs to get pictures.

Quiet. Serine. So much more to see in Vegas than the slot machines.

Stunning start of the scenic drive! We pulled over every few 20 seconds it seemed. Worth driving slow and looks like there are nice walking trails in addition to hiking trails. Seems like a perfect spot for a Sunday picnic.

On of the best natural beauty you can see in UTAh . High Is scenic - the red color rock formation is mesmerizing. Definitely recommend if you driving towards Bryce Canyon or come to Zion

My favorite hiking area with easy trails at high elevation. No big elevation gains, good for aging hikers and quick hoodoo access?

Very good food. We ate the Braised Short Rib Grilled Cheese and the Avocado Bacon Grilled Cheese. They give you a lot of fries which is awesome. The building itself is very clean and spacious. I really like the feel of the place. They have a lot of things to buy as well to take with you. The ice cream is also 5 stars!

A refreshing place to stop along I 15 in Beaver, Utah. This place is very clean and inviting. “ The Kitchen” offers a different menu instead of the regular fast food fare. The staff is very friendly. They offered free samples of fresh cheese, which was very good. We were there at noon, so it did get pretty busy. There is limited seating inside. Plenty seating outside; however , the day we were there, it was cold and windy so outside was not an option. Save room for the ice cream because it is a must have. Well worth a visit, even is you have kids, there is a play area for them with a farm theme.

We always love stopping at The Creamery on our road trips to Las Vegas. The prepared food is good quality with decent portion sizes and reasonable prices--favorites are the macaroni and cheese with bacon and the club salad. Sometimes the restaurant is really busy, so we opt out and head straight to the cheese curds, which are great! The restrooms are also clean, the service is great, and we haven't tried the ice cream, but I great it's delicious.

This is the perfect place to stretch your legs and have a great meal while you’re traveling on I-15. My personal favorite is the Amish Oatmeal for breakfast, but their lunch and dinner options are also delicious! Beyond the meals, they also have an amazing shopping area with quite a few local products and gift items. Everyone’s favorite thing is always the cheese curds, which are made right there so they’re always fresh! They make them in several flavors. I like to grab a couple bags for the road. But, before you hit the road again, I recommend you stroll over to the ice cream parlor. The flavors are numerous and the quality of the ice cream is unbelievable. I’m a bit of an ice cream snob, but this place gets my full stamp of approval! If you take your pets when you travel, one other thing you’ll appreciate is the lawn where your pet can also get out and stretch a bit. I’ve seen a lot of happy dogs playing on the grass while their owners enjoyed some ice cream. This truly is a nice experience.

A nice in age way to Salt Lake. A steady flow of customers.. while didn't eat the menu looked appetizing. And plenty of people were partaking. What was impressive was the quantity and variety of fresh made cheeses. I was disappointed they didn't sell butter. The ice cream parlor and choice of flavors was very impressive. I had a fabulous chocolate shake. Lots of knick knacks available. Also lots of unique jans, jellies, and honey. They may have been other items that I missed. Well worth the detour off I15.

We stopped for ice cream whenever we are traveling through the area. There are so many choices and so little time. My wife had Raspberry with chocolate chunks. I had Rocky Road this trip. Both were excellent. We had had many others. Lemon bars is another of our favorites. Top quality. Burger are also very good. Cheese and curd are staple. Always busy.

The Creamery in Beaver, Utah has some solid ice cream—creamy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. I enjoyed the treat itself, no doubt about that. But I was honestly surprised (and a little disappointed) to see prominent signs saying they don’t offer samples. I mean, isn’t sampling part of the whole fun of visiting an ice cream parlor? Especially when there are so many unique or seasonal flavors to choose from. I get that this might’ve started as a COVID precaution, but at this point, it feels a bit outdated. For a place that’s otherwise warm and welcoming, that policy feels oddly rigid. It takes away from the relaxed, try-something-new spirit that usually comes with stopping for ice cream on a road trip or weekend outing. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you already know what you like—but don’t expect to taste around before you commit. A little flexibility on that front would really elevate the experience.

Nice hiking trails. Visitor Center was closed, as was bathrooms there.

Wide open vistas, beautiful plant life, cooler temperatures make Dixie National Forest very much worth the visit. My family just returned from camping on the front side of Pine Valley Mountain. Absolutely loved the experience. Very beautiful and the views of Washington county are breath taking. The fire restrictions were just lifted and you can have camp fires. The one WARNING! this is a jeep trail. Very rocky and difficult to traverse. Be aware.

Quite, remote, refreshing, warm afternoons, cool evenings. Beutiful scenery. Great hunting, hiking and ATVing. Highly recommended for family camping. Fuel, groceries and hardware in town at Duck Creek. Camping spots well dispersed, tons of fire wood all over. Bring your chainsaw. Few public restrooms in the forest; RV Spots and tent camping spots available. Lots of secret camping spots way back in there.

Breathtaking is the only word to describe it. I definitely recommend the visit. It's not a very long drive through it and not alot of pictures points. What I do suggest is cycling alongside on the cycle path or taking a walk. There is also a camp/RV site for those that are interested. Please don't skip this.

Gorgeous scenery and a great day trip from Vegas. Plentiful creeks and lakes to fish, tons of trees, fresh air and wild critters. There's an awesome lava field from old lava flows, several scenic areas with valleys and gorges... Animals you may see include deer, sheep, skunk, squirrel, ducks and various other birds... We just love getting out and enjoying nature, and this is an excellent way to do it.

We mapped and followed a very pretty off-road trail. The fall colors and cool weather made for a perfect day. Some of the trails and roads can get a little treacherous if it rains or snows.

this place is awesome. i’m not quite sure how to review an entire national forest because it covers a massive area. i recently camped here and it was great. i did the ice house mountain bike trail as well which was fantastic

Absolutely gorgeous!! The greenery and the red rocks just blend to give you an amazing scenery. Word of caution!!! Take a jacket out a sweater. This please is 10k feet above sea level and the temp stops at least 20-30 degrees.

Great place to check out if you are in the Brian Head area. Beautiful vistas to see and if you enjoy trail running at elevation (+10,000 ft) you will like it in this part of Utah. Way more low key than Zion or Bryce and should be on your list of things to see in Utah.

We weren't able to fit Bryce Canyon into our schedule, so we decided to go here for a quick visit. And we weren't disappointed in the least. This reminded me very much of Bryce, but on a much smaller scale. It wasn't busy, and it was easy to park, but I doubt that's the case most of the year. It was really cold and windy (be careful when it's cold, there was snow and ice on the path to the viewpoint), but we were rewarded with some pretty amazing views, especially with the dusting of snow on the rocks. GO, it's definitely worth it! (Beware if you get altitude sickness, it's really high up in the mountains.)

What a wonderful place. At least we good as Bryce but quite no people. Do the Bartizan Trail. You’ll love it.

Beautiful and worth the stop. Come up from Cedar City and see it on the side on the mountain, which is gorgeous. We stopped at the visitor center, but it is closed for the season. It is close to the road and easy to see. It is Defiently worth seeing another national monument so close to many national parks.

Worth a stop if you're in the area! The roads leading to it are stunning right now with the Aspens changing to a vibrant yellow color, and the overlooks into the Canyon are great!

This is VERY similar to Bryce Canyon. The views are amazing.

Great place for petroglyph viewing. Quick and easy access from the freeway from the north or the south. Might as well stop at the Dino tracks just a few miles away.

This is a very nice stop if you are in the area. Not far off I-15 and the road is paved the entire way. Nice parking lot with interpretive signage and a clean pit toilet. Lots of rock art to see and wonder about.

Wonderful place to visit. Great history lesson with the info posted. Take a little picnic and enjoy. There are places to sit and eat. We saw people park and go off on bikes. Fun!

Worth taking the off beaten path to visit. I figured it would just be a rock with a few drawings. Instead, the entire hillside was covered in petroglyphs. I tried to take more pictures but my phone camera was overheating. Definitely a fun and interesting stop!

Take the slight detour off I-15 and go see these. The location is amazing and you can stretch your legs a bit. What a beautiful little out of the way historical fix for us. Easy walk to see them and it’s mostly paved. No cost.

The Parowan Gap Petroglyphs is an incredibly interesting location with well preserved ancient petroglyphs that are very clear and easy to see. The walk from the parking lot on the east is a mild and quick walk that goes right past some very clear imagery. We’ve stopped here on multiple road trips with the kids and with the grandparents. Everyone loves this little piece of history. There is, unfortunately, a bit of vandalism primarily from before this location began to be protected. Just 15 minutes or so off the freeway makes this a great stop for anyone passing through. Definitely worth the stop! Don’t forget to sign the visitors log book at the start of the trail from the east parking lot.

An amazing site where Native Americans left their stories etched in the rocks of the Gap. Tribes from the Paiute, Hopi and others would stop along this once green oasis. There is a parking area with a pit toilet. Other than that, there are no services. Most of the petroglyphs can be viewed from the road, which makes it nice for wheelchairs.

What an incredible place! The sand is so fine and soft, almost like pink powder sugar. We had hours of fun on these dunes. They rent out boogie sand boards and give you wax to make them glide across the sand. You can really get some speed going on those boards! And if you crash, the sand is so soft and gentle, you just lay there laughing. We'll worth the $15 entrance fee. The boards cost $25, so we just rented one for our entire group. Once or twice walking up a sand dune, and you are exhausted.

During our stay in Kanab, a visit to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park was a must, and it truly felt like discovering a surreal hidden gem amidst the stunning canyon landscape. Walking on the expansive, soft pink sand dunes and even sliding down a few was such a unique and enjoyable experience. We visited on a beautiful sunny day, which made the colors of the sand even more vibrant. The park is very convenient to access. The $15 entry fee felt reasonable, and we were pleased to find ample parking with an easy, short walk to the dunes. The presence of well-maintained toilets and a small visitor center added to the convenience. We spent a pleasant two hours exploring the dunes and soaking up the sun, but you could easily spend an entire day here if you wished. The only slight drawback during our visit was the presence of some cars and motorbikes driving on the dunes. While it might be an activity some enjoy, the noise did become a bit disruptive to the otherwise peaceful and serene atmosphere after a while. Despite this minor point, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is a truly remarkable place and a fantastic stop for anyone exploring the Kanab area. The unique landscape and the fun of playing on the dunes make it a memorable experience.

Super fun place to ride ATVs and UTVs. These dunes are next to a forest and offer some amazing views and fun trails to explore. The campground at the park is very nice with lots of great camp sites. Across the way is a lot of primitive camping within a short drive to the park and sand dunes.

This was a last-minute addition to our trip out to Zion and ended up being one of our favorite stops! We went in February when there was light snow on the ground which made the dunes experience even more unique. They rent out sand boogie boards which we opted not to do, but it was popular with many people there. Timing, we planned to go around sunset which was beautiful. There are plenty of short places to hike to, or you could go on longer treks. We did lose cell service as we got close to the park so plan accordingly.

We paid the $15 admission fee to spend 2 hours here at sunset after a long day in Zion. The sand is not pink as I expected. It’s more of a tan color similar to the Great Sand Dunes. You can rent off roading vehicles to drive onto the dunes which we saw a ton of people doing. A little bit annoying to hear them constantly in the background while trying to enjoy the scenery. I definitely rank the Great Sand Dunes and White Sands over this state park but it’s still very cool to see. The sand is super fine and soft to the touch. Definitely would recommend stopping here if you have a little bit of time. You don’t need all day for sure.

We had a quick stop here before heading to our glamp site. This is smaller than the Great Sand Dunes in CO. It’s also less crowded. Was able to try sand boarding which was amazing. You have to rent it at the entrance . If you want to fly your drone you have to pay a fee. Wasn’t able to fly mine because of lack of time . If you have plenty of time, try to do their ATV tours. Will try it next time !

The park is a short drive from the highway. Dunes were awesome. We stayed for the stars at night and we were not disappointed. The overlook was good for milky way photos. But the dunes when you first enter the park are even better.

Very interesting history on Cedar city and surrounding areas. I really liked the preserved cabins outside in the back. Really makes you appreciate todays modern homes. Then again maybe kids should live in a cabin. They would have reason to go outside and touch grass more. I think we spent almost 2hrs here.

I had no idea how big and amazing this place was! Fantastic artifacts and good audio clips to tell you about them. Love the giant machine out front and the cabins. The staff answered questions and were really great! Highly recommend!

Aw man when I say I thought this was going to be a tiny little museum (which I would still have been delighted with, my wife loves museums), I have as shook. It's MASSIVE. Multiple large rooms in the museum, a huge beautiful garden to walk, with several large exhibits. My wife and I went on our anniversary and we were so happy to see so many interactive, kid friendly, but adult happy types of things to do, read, and see. We loved feeding the chickens and the 4H club keeps a beautiful veggie garden. 10/10

My husband and I go to Cedar City about once a year for the Shakespeare Festical and we thought we had seen all there was to see there. WE WERE WRONG! We were very surprised at how much the museum has to see! The really great finds are outside, and they even have stations for kids to wash clothes like they did during settlement times, a place to pan for gold, and some period buildings to explore. The biggest shocker is how cheap it is to get in. They could easily ask for more admission.

A lot to see. Learn about the Mormon influence in Utah on schooling with a new alphabet through the need for iron. Shearing sheep video quite graphic and cruel. Lot of hands-on exhibits and vehicles to get into. Lilacs and irises were in bloom. That was a special treat. Doll collection with a Morton Salt doll. Houses and other buildings to walk through. Ask for the scavenger hunt sheet or the Junior Curator booklet for some extra fun.

Stopped in during a visit with family. The old carriages were neat but the town setup outside is by far the most interesting. It really gives a sense of how life was.

Don't skip this on your itinerary on ur visit to Cedar City. Plus if you got books u want to get rid of you can donate here👍👍

The plays produced at the Utah Shakespeare Festival rate among the best in the world. The performances and production value is fantastic. The best bargain at the Festival takes place a little before the show’s is the Green Show. It’s a performance of music, singing, dancing, and stories that is totally free and really fun.

The show I saw was “The 39 Steps” an excellent, vaudeville-style interpretation of the Hitchcock movie. Parking is free. I was surprised that I had to have a printed version of my ticket to get in. Excellent, but very small, sculpture garden on grounds.

Some of the best theatre anywhere. Such love for Shakespeare. With previews, seminars, Greenshows it is a true festival.

We watched much Ado about nothing. The actors were so funny! We plan on coming back to the outdoor theater sometime. The statuary in the gardens were also fun. FYI - the pre-show explanation just gives a rundown of the plot up to the intermission. I didn't really care for that.

The Play That Goes Wrong had our whole family in stitches (21-80yrs old)! 🤣 If you've seen Noises Off, it was a similar vibe. The comedic timing was perfect! Highly recommend! They even had a special headset for a family member who is blind so she could understand what was going on. BRAVO!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the Utah Shakespeare Festival. It played a part in my decision to move to southern Utah, because the arts are very important to me. First of all, the setting is amazing. Cedar City is surrounded by forests and large hills, and the views are wonderful. The campus of SUU, where the festival is located, is very pretty, with gardens to wander through, and statues to look at. There is an art museum close by, and the theaters (there are more than one) are visually appealing. Every production I have ever seen has been top-notch, and King Lear was no exception. Anthony Heald played the title role, and he was superb. The rest of the cast was wonderful too. If you are ever in southern Utah during the summer or early autumn, I recommend that you take a day to come up and see a play. The festival is an easy drive from Zion or Bryce National Parks, and there are some good restaurants in town as well.

We have made going to the Utah Shakespeare Festival a yearly tradition for our family because it is so amazing! It's a great weekend trip! There is little wonder it has won many awards and is regarded as one of the best Shakespeare festivals in the country. Every single play we have seen there has been outstanding! The venue is gorgeous with both indoor and outdoor theaters, very traditionally Shakespearian and modern. Their Shakespeare plays are incredible but I also recommend watching some of their other shows which are also of the highest quality. "Pirates of Penzance" and "Clue" had us laughing the entire time and even my 8 year old daughter loved every second.

Must enjoy Book your hotel in springdale. From springdale every 15 minutes shuttle is available from various pick up stops to canyon visitor center or you can drive your own vehicle from city for 5 to 10 minutes drive. Park your car at the parking plot at the visitor center ( shuttle stop 1). For most days of the year, shuttle bus is available as private vehicles are not allowed beyond canyon junction ( shuttle stop 3).A hike through The Narrows requires hiking in the Virgin River. You must get your feet wet. Most people choose to start their hike from the Temple of Sinawava via the Riverside Walk and then walk upstream before turning around and hiking back down to the Temple of Sinawava. Reach temple of Sinawava ( shuttle stop 9). Follow the paved trail for 1.5 hours. Before attempting, check flood warning and atmosphere as well as water level. It's strenuous out and back hikes. 1] Close-toed shoes and a hiking stick are recommended for hiking .Cold water gears are available at visitor centers or city. 2] Hiking in The Narrows upstream as far as Big Spring does not require a permit. 3] Enjoy Narrows in the summer and early fall when the water tends to be at its warmest and the water level drops. 4] Winter and early spring commonly mean cold water and high water levels. 5] During a flash flood, the water level rises almost instantly within seconds or minutes. Flash floods are common in Zion. 6] Start as early as possible. Otherwise you may not enjoy much in the crowd. 7] It typically takes about 10 – 12 hours of continuous hiking.

Hiking The Narrows in Zion was one of the most unique and memorable adventures we’ve had. We went about a quarter of the way through the water without any special gear—just regular hiking boots and shorts—and it was totally manageable. The water is definitely cold, but after a few minutes, you go numb and it becomes surprisingly bearable. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Towering canyon walls, the sound of the river, and light filtering in through the narrow passageways make for an almost otherworldly experience. You don’t need to go the full distance to get a taste of how incredible this trail is. That said, if you’re planning to do the full hike, I would highly recommend renting the gear—especially the neoprene socks and water boots. It’ll make the longer journey much more comfortable and safe. For a shorter, spontaneous adventure, you can absolutely get by with basic hiking gear. Just be sure to check the weather and water levels beforehand. The Narrows is a must-do while in Zion—whether you go all in or just dip your toes into the experience. We loved every minute of it.

The Narrows Trail in Zion National Park is a unique and unforgettable hike that takes you through the Virgin River, surrounded by towering canyon walls. The trail’s route is mostly a river walk, with hikers wading and sometimes swimming through the river, depending on water levels. The towering, narrow rock walls of the canyon create a breathtaking atmosphere as you make your way through. It’s a challenging yet rewarding adventure, especially during summer when the canyon is bathed in sunlight. Be sure to check weather conditions and water levels before heading out, as flash floods can be a danger.

The coolest thing we did in Zion National Park. The water is cold, so I recommend spending the $60 for gear. It gets pretty deep at parts. Lots of people, but the river is decently wide, so you can get around slower walkers. Such an awesome experience, and I highly recommend.

The experience going up the narrows was exhilarating!! The view was magnificent. Being down in the valley looking up at the rock formation and the trees that grow along the cliffs made me feel like I was in another world. My husband cried at the sight because it was so beautiful. You can’t describe it or no photo will do justice. Getting to the narrows, you have to take the bus that is run by the park. Then you walk a little further in. It is not guaranteed whether you can enter the narrows due to the weather conditions or safety warnings given by the park. My husband and I had to wait around to enter due to a search and rescue team looking for an injured person. Even though we went in for about 1.5 hrs, we felt under prepared. We wished we had better water hiking shoes with professional grade walking sticks to go further. We didn’t bring hiking sticks so we found some sturdy wood stick to replace it. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to bring water hiking shoes with the thick sole and two hiking sticks. The current was very fast and the rocks under water shifts so it gets slippery. I’m about 160cm tall and some parts of the water came up above my knees. Also, don’t forget to bring enough water and snacks to sustain your energy. Even if it feels daunting to go in at first, try it and you won’t regret it!

A must do hike! I went in the beginning of December and so glad I did. We saw very few people and with the right cold water gear, going in the winter is the best time.

An amazing hiking experience! Because how often you can hike in water? I totally recommend to get here prepared - bring a stick, even though you think you don't need it, you do. There is a lot of rocks in the water that you don't see and it's a bit tricky to make your way through them and not to have your ankles twisted. Regarding this, don't forget to borrow or bring sturdy above ankle shoes suitable into water. Neoprene socks for your warmth are really handy and they can be also borrowed. I also recommend to only come with the clothes that are fast drying and with a dry bag. You might end up with water at your waist level or even higher without seeing that coming. No toilets on the way and it's recommended to pee into water, or bring whatever else solid that you might leave behind back without you. Luckily, I didn't need to use toilet during the hike, but because of this limitation, I think that something like 3 hours in total are enough for this hike. Count also with the fact that walking in the water up to the hill against stream is pretty tiring. And you still need to save some energy to return back. But I believe that this whole experience is really worthy. So just prepare for it and then enjoy it.

We were so lucky won our daily permits to hike this amazing trail yesterday, Friday 3/28/25. It’s not the hardest hike (we hiked a lot in Rocky Mountains) but it was so unique and beautiful. There are 21 steep switchbacks before reach scout lookout. Last 0.5 mile is the chain section. Rangers were there checking hikers permits and ID for the permit holders. The trail has many steep inclines but the chains help so much! Hikers on the trail were very nice and waited for others to come up or down in some dangerous chain spots. The top of the trail is a flat area, a great spot for a snack break and enjoy the gorgeous views. Bring plenty of water, good hiking shoes and a pair of gloves will be very helpful for this hike. Hiking sticks are not necessary because some areas you need to hold on the chain or rocks with both hands. Be careful and take it slow, you will be fine! This is a much hike if you get a chance. We enjoyed it so much!

There’s a reason this is one of the top rated hikes in the country. Take your time and the right shoes and you’ll be more than safe! And the view is world class at the top! We went just out of season, if you want to maximize your chances of getting the lottery go for the “before 9” option.

Up to scouts landing and then the intense hike up to Angels landing is the best hike in the park! Worth the time, effort, and sore ankles the next day! Definitely be ready to enter yourself into the lottery to win!

Cool hike with great views. But crowded even with the permit system, but still enjoyable. Not as extreme as reviews made it out to be, but plenty of spots that remind you how high up you are.

Angels Landing is one of Zion National Park’s most famous and exhilarating hikes. The 5.4-mile round trip takes you to a stunning viewpoint with sweeping views of Zion Canyon. The trail is notorious for its steep ascent, narrow ridgelines, and chains bolted into the rock to assist climbers along the most exposed sections. It’s a physically demanding and thrilling experience, best suited for experienced hikers not afraid of heights. The reward, however, is one of the most jaw-dropping vistas in the entire park, making it a bucket-list hike for many adventurers.

Very unique and beautiful hike along a spine with cliffs on both sides while holding onto a chain. Having said that, as a fairly capable and avid hiker I wasn’t nervous about the hike. I felt comfortable with the very secure chain to hold onto as a stabilizer. Only a tiny bit of ice left when we went yesterday and the weather was perfect. I would definitely not plan on this during windy or inclement weather but otherwise highly recommend it unless you’re afraid of heights. Plan on having to pause at various points along the narrow spine as it’s generally built for one way traffic and has people going both directions.

The most overrated hike I have done in my life. Got 2nd bus up, dangerously crowded going down. People clearly do this hike for the challenge, fear factor and bragging rights. Go up to scouts landing instead. Better views. Took me 55 minutes to go from the permit point to the top of Angels and back to permit check point with traffic coming down and while 15 weeks pregnant. I am used to hiking and elevation (live in salt lake). Just an FYI, route looks different from many videos. I think a lot of hand and foot holds in rocks have eroded away a tad from the traffic. I wasn’t ever uncomfortable but will say that if the person in front happens to misstep and slide, you are dead if you don’t leave enough space.

One of our favorite trails in one of our favorite national parks! We visited Pa’rus Trail during our USA trip, and it was a highlight of our time in Zion. The trail is easy and very accessible—perfect for a relaxed walk that still offers stunning views. It took us around 45 minutes at a comfortable pace, and we were surrounded by Zion’s breathtaking landscape the whole way. Great for families, casual hikers, or anyone wanting to soak in the beauty without a strenuous climb.

This trail leads you on a paved path to the canyon entrance to the park. For the hardcore, you can take this trail into the canyon and beat the bus line on the busy days. On busy days the bus line can take 2 hours. Hiking this trail into the park and getting the bus at stop 4 is only an hour thirty. Just add 3 mils of hiking your day and get some amazing photo opportunities that are missed by most as the bus does not stop in these sections.

In my opinion the best trail in this national park. You will be treated with amazing views of the national park. It was also pretty calm out here, so we could really soak in the atmosphere.

A nice paved trail within the park. This trail connects multiple stops within the park, but can be trafficked by walking or biking. Dogs are allowed on this trail! There’s a connecting trail that branches from stop 2 in the park (the museum). We saw plenty of lizards along this route!

This is pretty much the bike trail that leads to Zion Canyon Scenic Dr, it isn't much to see and I wouldn't recommend walking it unless you're using it to walk your dog. You can access the shuttles at the visitor center. A lot of E-Bike traffic, construction and very little shade.

Super easy, paved trail. Ends at Canyon Junction but the shuttle doesn’t stop here. So better to do this trail on the way back to the visitor center.

Nice, easy, flat path. A LOT of bikers. A few offshoots that take you down to the river.

During our trip to Zion National Park we planned a day to explore the Kolob Canyon area. It was much less busy than the other side of the park which allowed for full access to the areas and less busy hikes. We went in February and with all the snow, we would recommend spikes or snow-specific shoes. Prior to our hikes we went to the visitors center and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

One of the hidden gems in Utah, it’s just outside Zion National park (another beautiful place). Kolob Canyons has 3 hiking trails, each with its own difficulty. A 1 mile easy hike (timber creek) an amazing lookout spot, a 4 total mile Taylor creek trail, and a 14 mile Kolob arch trail. I recommend going here!

Most people don't know about the side of Zion National park. I felt like I had the whole park to myself. It was very gorgeous 5 mi drive. Definitely worth it.

So beautiful and underrated!! After a day at Zion dealing with big crowds, shuttle buses, and limited parking, Kolob Canyons came as such a blessing. We did the Taylor Creek hike (about 3 hours), and then drove the rest of the scenic drive to the final viewpoint. There were empty parking spots at all the trailheads we passed... Very different to the main part of Zion! Highly recommend Kolob Canyons.

A great back country hike and site, the hike straight up/down to/from the rim is difficult, other than that relatively easy hike. Astounding views, your eyes are filled with color. No fires allowed, water sources near sites. Not real buggy or anything. Dusk brings nice bat activity. Watch out when you walk, there are lots of lil frogs along the trails. Just little bitties especially around the waterways of course. Highly recommend this. A gorgeous place.

Visited Kolob Canyon today. A lot of bang for the buck. Great scenic drive through the canyon…beautiful! Hiked a short hike at the end of the road 1.2 miles round trip, Timber Creek Overlook trail, well worth it. Then on the way out hiked the Taylor creek trail, two settler cabins and great views of soaring mountains. About 5 miles round trip. Love this place!

This is the northern section of Zion. However, it is about an hour away from the main entrance. The best part is it is just as scenic and is NOT crowded! We included it on our plans as we were driving from Bryce back to Las Vegas. The road is a very short drive to the end and there is a one mile hike that ends in a very scenic view of the entire canyon! Definitely worth the extra hike. There is also a very nice shaded picnic area at the end of the road with latrines. We spent about two hours which allowed us just enough time to see it. There are several hiking trails that are available if you really wanted to experience the area. I am glad we stopped by!

We grew up in Saint George & decided to play tourist during our recent visit home. We booked an all day side by side tour with ATV Offroad Adventures after extensive research & recommendations from others. Our tour did not disappoint. The crew arrived timely & was chipper to get us underway. They had everything we could have thought of: gloves, glasses,helmets, & a really cool souvenir neck gaiter. Jack was an amazing guide, he is hilarious, knowledgeable, a great instructor ,courteous, & made our adventure so worth it. Safety always came First & our routes & expectations were always communicated very clearly. We rode through amazing dunes, banked turns and all different terrain. We got to stop and learn about the area where Jack taught us some awesome facts even our local family members didn't know. There were opportunities for our younger adventures to climb rocks & dig in the sand (with parental supervision of course)They provided lunch which was so much better than we expected (no PBJ's here) jack will gladly take your cookies off your hands is you don't want them. Everyone In our group enjoyed themselves from the 11 year old to grandparents. Thank you Jack for an unforgettable adventure. We will see you next time!

We did a sunset tour with our tour guide, Dave. Despite the rain and rather chilly weather, Dave made this tour great. We also lucked out because we were the only people who booked a tour during this time slot. Dave was funny, personable, and really made this worth it. We are already planning on returning (in potentially a slightly warmer month).

Dude! What an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Jack, was amazing! He made sure everyone was safe but had a kick ass time! The group was awesome together and everyone had an absolute blast. The scenery was beautiful, and the dunes were an awesome way to top it all off. I’ll recommend to everyone!

Did the half-day sunset ATV adventure with Bob. I had an absolute blast. It was THE highlight of my trip. Favorite parts: riding the sand dunes and stopping to hike/climb The Maze. Bob was an exceptional guide with incredible knowledge of the areas we were exploring. And he was always willing to snap photos of us. I’ve ridden ATVs in the past but not on this type of terrain. Bob made me feel safe riding, working with my comfort level and adjusting as I gained confidence. Not once did I feel out of control. ATVs are well maintained. Just book it!

Our tour guide jack was a great guy. Had lots of water and snacks he provided a lot of fun facts about the area! We had plenty of breaks with bathrooms! Loved the different types of terrain between the sand dunes and rock climbing.

We took the 4 hour sunset tour with guide Nick and couldn't be happier! The company was accommodating when it came to getting our family of 5 a last minute reservation. Nick was very friendly, informative and patient (as it was our first time with ATV riding). Thank you again for making this a great experience for all of us. This ATV tour was the highlight of our trip to Utah!

While traveling from Snow Canyon State Park to Las Vegas, we made an unplanned stop around 7 PM. Although we were unable to visit the temple itself, the visitor center provided a wealth of information. It features pictures of the temple's interior, which were quite interesting. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

I was driving back to my motel and just happened to glance over to my left and saw not only this spectacular white monolith in the distance but also highlighted by the February 12th full moon. I drove over and was absolutely gob-smacked at the elegance and history of this edifice. I had really no idea of the historical significance of Saint George as Brigham Young's "winter home" and the Tabernacle for the LDS. So sad that I had no time to return and have a tour of the tabernacle but I did go into the gem of a Visitors' Centre which seemed to welcome all who entered. I spoke to some lovely young people who are obviously totally committed to the cause but I had to turn down a more detailed information tour as I had to travel north the following day. This certainly was an uplifting experience on a cold winter's night!

This was a visit to the grounds on a Sunday. The recent construction annex and additions are beautifully done to mesh the historic and new. VERY well done and the Peaxe and Spirit of calm that attends the ground is worth a visit.

The new renovations match the original. Homage is paid to those who settled St George and built this amazing temple. Organized and polite workers. I attended the fastest sealing that I have ever been to which was awesome. The grounds are stunning. Love the fountains!

This is my favorite temple, aesthetically. I love the architecture of the pioneer era. However, what makes the temple special is what goes on inside. Here, I find a peaceful place where I can feel the spirit of my Heavenly Father as I worship. The visitors center has more info if you have any questions.

Such a beautiful and welcoming place. I came here as I travel from Southern California and was amazed at the stunning and bright whiteness of the temple. The grounds were meticulously maintained and then environment very peaceful.

We missed our chance to visit the newly renovated St George Utah Temple during its open house. So the hubby and I went and did some temple work the first week it re-opened. It was a beautiful place and we had such a fulfilling experience within its peaceful walls last month. It was a privilege to renew our covenants at such a historic temple.

This place is very near stunning. They spared no expense. I’ve not seen a show here, we only came to the Saturday market on a whim. Thankfully, we came in the spring because I hear that the heat starting in late April to November is almost horrendous. I really just want to point out that the surroundings are well done and the view is almost incomparable.

Amazing place! I highly...HIGHLY...recommend going to any show here if you are ever in St George. The lights shining on the rocks behind the stage showing the natural beauty of the amphitheater is stunning. And the fact they use the rocks as part of the production with lights and such is a great touch. The only negative I have to say about this place is that the night time driving to and from the amphitheater is PITCH BLACK! I hope you have good headlights lol.

It was really neat to go here again when we were in Utah. It is very beautiful there and lots to see. Make sure to stop in to the little shop they have there as well. Some very cute stuff and everyone was very friendly.

This wasn't my first time visiting, but it was my first time watching a full show. I didn't know about the updated seat cushions, so I'd brought my own cushions. I ended up giving them all to her. The upgraded seats were comfortable. And the show was fantastic. I didn't expect them to sell popcorn and frozen lemonade too. It was a great experience overall. The only downside was the family sitting behind me. They were quite noisy, even for adults. Their kids were older, but they were still pretty loud, and one of the adults was even singing along. Of course, there's not much anyone can do about that kind of thing, so I guess it was just my luck. It was also great to see the volunteers. I'm definitely looking forward to going back!

Went to the farmers market at Tuacahn, amazing back drop for that place. Would love to see a show there as I bet it would be amazing seeing it at night tucked into the towering red rocks around it. Definitely worth a visit regardless of why you end up there. Beautiful!

We loved Arrival from Sweden: ABBA show! This venue is beautiful, acoustics are excellent, and the backdrop of the red rocks is a spectacular outdoor amphitheater!

This outdoor amphitheater is one of the most stunning places to see a performance. Nestled in a red rock canyon, Tuacahn hosts Broadway-style musicals, concerts, and holiday events. The natural acoustics and scenery elevate the entire experience. Even if you’re not big into theater, seeing a show here is unforgettable.

First time here. Parked my rv in rear lot, lots of space, a little slanted but was quiet and free. The casino was nice, lots of newer machines, staff was helpful and nice, we went to the special lobster buffet, good price($65) food was pretty good also the cafe had good burgers.

Reserved a Enclave King spa and got down grated to basic but was still charged 300 bucks ....they did not care. They were extremely rude then had the nerve to call security when we have our reservation in front of us. Don't waste the money...stay at the Casablanca or Virgin River...better service all the way around especially hotel service

An older hotel, but a respectable remodel. Service was pleasant. Kacey (in reservations) 'knocked it out of the park" handling 8 players and 3 days of golf. Incredible job she did! Gregory's was far better than my expectations. My only complaint was that they (dining room) didn't open before 8 AM for breakfast.

I'd like to give kudo's to Sebastian, the bar tender. He is a sweetheart and on point. Before I even got situated at the bar he had my drink all ready for me. What an amazing experience all around. The staff at the hotel is amazing as well! They make me feel like I'm coming home for the first time in a long time every time I walk into the hotel. Definitely a 5 star ⭐✨⭐ experience.

The first time I went, I didn’t like the service at the reception… Luckily, a young man named Eli assisted me; he was very attentive to my requests and questions about the hotel. With a big smile, he solved my issues with the reservation. There was also a lady named Alma, who was also very attentive to everything. (Eureka is a place that cares about your needs and has a front desk team that is always willing to help you.) But the Gym looks pretty old… The rooms looks okay

Friendly. Clean. Didn't smell the cigarette smoke very much. Breakfast buffet was limited in different types of food but good food. Bacon pretty thinned sliced. 11.99 if you have a free casino card.

I had booked 8 rooms for a group of us from St George to come and relax after a yearly charity event, that our Riding Club Does in Southern Utah. I will start with customer service is exceptional and it started with Jennifer Sawyer who I booked the rooms with her communication was perfect explaining details,and answering questions you can tell it's more then a job to her. Being in customer service myself it's nice to receive the same service I give. She followed up insuring I received emails, as well as making sure our stay was great during, and after the stay. Everything from checking in to check out was flawless. Our group will be back as well as myself. Food was great at townsquare, front desk was great as well.

I was told that the rooms were not all that clean. However, ours was clean and comfortable. No frills such as a refrigerator or microwave but we were only staying there for a brief time and didn't need any. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Although, I did lose $10 at the bar playing a card game . But the beer was free.

Rating: 4/5 Been here a few times, Dylan at the pro shop is nice and he drilled a bowling ball for me, but the bowling itself had some issues on the lane I was put on. As in it wasn’t counting the 2 pin. I.e. when I’d leave the 2 pin up by itself, it would give me a strike. The staff are very nice, but since it is next to a casino, I would not recommend if you’re coming with people under the age of 21. Being the only 20+ lane bowling alley within 1 hour of St. George, I think it’s a pretty good one, but there are certainly better ones out there.

My stay at this hotel was overall very pleasant! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. The room itself was spacious, cozy, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat after a busy day. The hotel’s location was also a major plus, with easy access to key attractions and transport. The only downside was the bathroom. While it was clean, it felt a bit dated and could use some modernization to match the otherwise high standard of the hotel. The amenities provided were sufficient, but a few upgrades would make a big difference. Despite this minor issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. With a refreshed bathroom, this hotel would be truly outstanding!

Stayed one night. Just passing through. Wouldn't recommend it for anything other than that. It looked run down, and the pillow cases were not so good. I have sensitive skin so im glad brought my own. I recommend bringing your own shampoo and soap too. There was only an old looking dispenser in the shower. Not sure what was in there. Maybe bring slippers too. They said they allowed pets. If you are sensitive to smells and fur, this might not be the place for you. It served our purpose but would not stay here again as the price was not worth it.

You cannot beat the price. It is simple but a great place to rest from a long driving trip. The cafe has great price for prime rib and the buffet has reasonable price as well. The Virgin River hotel is in close proximity to Las Vegas and Utah National Parks!

Billboard was for a Friday and Saturday Seafood Buffet at Sierra Buffet My husband and I get to the restaurant and the staff were standing there yapping and then charged us without a word. We get seated only to find the seafood buffet doesn't start until dinner. There was no signage indicating this whatsoever. The buffet staff was also rude. They didn't want to explain any of the mystery meat options at the buffet. Food was bland and gross. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Better off going to McDonalds.

This is a great hotel if you need something just off the freeway between your trips to California or even las vegas. Great price. Rooms ate small but the price is worth it! They also have a great breakfast. About $10 but it's huge and could feed 2 adults!

It's small but very interesting. There is a replica of how the Indians lived, history of the area and an amazing gift shop.

Interesting and informative museum. Many artifacts dating back to the Anasazi through the Mormon settlements. There is a replica of the Pueblos that you can visit. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Service dogs are the only animals allowed. The museum is wonderful.

A little hidden gem in Overton. Tells of this area and this Pueblo being the first in line of many others throughout Nevada, Arizona, NM and Utah. Also a little history of towns displaced by the rising /creation of Lake Mead. Stories and pictures of some mining towns toward the north. I wonder how many other Pueblos are still undiscovered.

Worth checking out if in the area. Wish their outdoor section was bigger though.
