Our first restaurant in Puerto Rico Love Love Love this place ! We loved the experience! The Happy hour menu was 🔥!! Very affordable food and drinks. 8 minute walk from our hotel and the beach. The food was great and so was our service. Thank you Jose! The entertainment was so fun! He sang Midnight Train to GA for us( we're from GA).
*TOURISTS BEWARE*
We went into this restaurant because when walking by we saw what looked like locals with a nice plate of food.
Well, it wasn’t so great for us. We had questions for the waiter about the menu which indicates we aren’t familiar with Spanish food.
Long story short we ordered the Paella Can Can
which was supposed to have chicken, beef and pork; what we got was a very, very small amount of beef, some chicken and a few big blobs of pork FAT and a whole lot of salt. I asked the waiter “who is going to eat fat?” He literally started dancing over to the manager … I think it was what he does when he gets nervous bc he did it every time I questioned him; the manager apologized and brought us back some dried up shoe leather they considered pork; this is not what I saw on some of the Spanish speaking people’s plate.
Needless to say we believe this is what they serve tourists they know are only showing up once. There were other unhygienic things that we observed the wait staff doing but we’ll leave it at this. Walk past this place and there are a lot of other places that you can eat at that will want to make you satisfied with your experience. BIG THUMBS DOWN AT Plato’s 😒👎🏼
Completely gross 🤢
Really good food and drinks. Their chicken soup was some of the best I’ve had, full of goodies. Also recommend their coconut sangria and margarita.
I cannot say enough about this restaurant! The service was impeccable, Raymond was an amazing server, awesome personality and gave us ideas on where to experience other things in the area. The food was delicious and the coconut sangria is out of this world and you can take home a bottle! Ten out of ten what highly recommend stopping in!
Such a great Puerto Rican restaurant with a nice atmosphere, helpful staff, and great food. The mofongo was delicious, bartender Kyle recommended getting a mix of green and sweet plantains with the red sauce and it was amazing. The sangrias are delicious as well, I tried the coconut and champagne sangrias and both were delicious. I’ll definitely return when I come back to San Juan!
