A huge shout-out to Hilton for saving our honeymoon. Arrived to a Vrbo next door and found mold on the vents - that wasn’t happening. At 10pm the Friday of a holiday weekend, Mike and Mike worked some magic in the computer to get us a room.
The hotel was literally full - someone else was turned away as we unloaded our car. But this staff handled it! Mike was outside checking for parking passes, calling people who double-parked to make room for other guests. The brand new pool had literally just opened - and they let us know they would be closing for a couple days to install the lights safe for turtles. Housekeeping staff was working around the clock to manage all of the guests.
This is not a brand new hotel, but it is clean, and it’s clear the staff cares about what they do. Thank you for saving our honeymoon!
The staff was amazing - friendly and attentive. There is a big difference in the photos online vs what the state of this hotel is in when you see it in person. The lobby is fine (great, actually) but as soon you get off the elevator and step into the hallway towards your room, it's a mess. Hallway carpets are pretty gross (carpet powder residue and stains everywhere.) Rooms are in dire need of renovations (ripped curtains, smells, carpets are rough.) Pool and gym are both currently closed for renovations (which will be lovely I'm sure but they should definitely get started on those rooms.)
I loved staying here but they are under construction with one working elevator. I did not like how their breakfast was $18/ person for basic hotel breakfast. But besides that I felt safe, the rooms were spacious, good water pressure and no bugs. I will recommend this hotel. I know the elevator will get fixed, but I think they should not charge for breakfast.
