Ode to the Elephants, located inside the Lazy Parrot Inn in Rincon, Puerto Rico, has garnered rave reviews for its fantastic outdoor and relaxing atmosphere. Reviewers praise the good food, strong drinks, outstanding views of the ocean and jungle from the second-floor covered outdoor seating area with about 10 tables. The restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine that is flavorful, fresh, and piping hot. Dishes like Pad Thai, Gai Raf Prik (spicy chicken), Green Curry, Spring Rolls, Shumai dumplings are highly recommended by visitors who appreciate generous servings and delicious flavors. The service is efficient and super kind according to patrons who have visited multiple times to check on food consistency. Despite some concerns about portion sizes versus prices for certain dishes like green curry being deemed overpriced by a few reviewers, Ode to the Elephants remains a top choice for those seeking an excellent dining experience in Rincon.
Absolutely awesome, amazing food! The flavors, the authenticity transported us back to our Thailand trips! If you wish to have Thai food on the island this is the only place for it! I’ve been a customer since the beginning and this is the place for Thai food period!
fantastic thai food on the west side of the island (prefer it over khalan), delicious & consistently good over the past few years, large portions and fresh ingredients.
the service is helpful & friendly, and they speak both english y español.
the design & ambience is peaceful (if not crowded), just don’t forget your big spray, the mosquitoes love hanging out.
Avoid. Food is just OK and the service is the worst I have ever experienced. Took over an hour to serve simple dishes and the staff didn’t express any concern when asked. What was supposed to be a nice, fun family meal turned into a protracted exercise in patience and remaining calm.
There are much better places to spend your money in Rincon.
Authentic Thai! Very flavorful, fresh, and piping hot food.
The service was efficient and super kind.
Wonderful view of the ocean with jungle vibes. 10/10 would recommend!
I wanted to love this place! Our server was so delightful and the food was great! However, it was extremely understaffed. Wait for a table was long, and three drinks and 2 dishes we were interested in were gone by 6:30. Servers were just RUNNING and it was too much work for the two to handle no matter how hard they tried. There was also an art market with blasting club music down on the patio below. The dinner was pretty great—pork dumplings and green/massaman curries—but I would not return due to excessive wait times, feeling stressed on behalf of overworked servers, noise, and very long wait times.
