One of the best bar experiences of my life. My favorite bar in New Orleans. We visited the city for 3 days and we went to this bar 4 times. Service is beyond friendly, drinks are outstanding and the lay back vibe is perceivable. Their gin fizz is a show, but their true skill is in my opinion in the way they manage to master classic cocktails like the Sidecar or the Gimlet in a way that should satisfy purists while adding a spin for more daring drinkers. A true highlight of our visit to Crescent City.
Bar Tonique is a "must do" in New Orleans, especially for a legit Ramos Gin Fizz experience. I recommend arriving as they open so there is time for the bartender to make the Gin Fizz before they get too busy. We absolutely loved our bartender/mixologist, Des - he's so knowledgeable and kind. I also tried the pineapple phosphate soda and it was one of the best tasting beverages I've had.

A great visit to New Orlean’s first craft cocktail bar! This bar is a bit more of a dive than I expected. The bar was semi-crowded with all the bar seats full. I ordered at the front. I found it a bit odd I needed to wait at the front for my drinks to be made while the bar was busy, but I’m with it. Service was fast, drinks were affordable and quality. Nothing fancy here, classic cocktails done simple and without the BS.

My boyfriend and I visited this bar on our first night of arrival to New Orleans and this place has amazing drinks! We had The Last Word and the Aviation, both drinks were made perfectly. The star of the show was definitely the Ramos Gin Fizz, which took 20 minutes to prepare but boy was it worth the wait! Definitely order this one ahead and get some starter cocktails in the meantime. If you're looking for a chill vibe, with great cocktails and nice music this is the place to be. 🥂
