I went for ice cream with my daughter. We each bought a dipped waffle cone and some chocolate covered strawberries. While I was eating my cone I noticed a black hair melted into the white chocolate. It was clearly melted into it and the. Coated in sprinkles. I tried removing it but it was hardened in. No big deal, it happens. I discretely went up to the woman and showed her the hair. I had only taken maybe three licks of the ice cream mine you. It wasnt like I ate most of, or even half of the cone, I hadn’t even cashed out yet. The woman was super rude and told me there was absolutely no hair and it was a crack. I said there is definitely hair, and it’s not a big deal I just would like a new ice cream. She continued to argue with me, telling me in wrong, and wouldn’t m even let me touch the cone to show her. I said have your younger girl look, and here I’ll shine my flash light to help you. I expressed this isn’t a huge deal, I just don’t want to eat an ice cream cone with hair embedded into it. She finally says “ ok, I’ll replace it, I am not sure how that happened” in what felt like a patronizing tone. It was honestly ridiculous the way she treated me and handled it. Hair happens people, it’s how you handle it that matters. She caused a scene in front of the multiple couples in the small space, when I was intentionally discrete to be respectful, and made me feel bad for even asking for a replacement for my uneaten hairy cone. I would never go back just because of the way she treated me. And two single cones and three strawberries was over 23 dollars. She wasn’t losing money by replacing the cone.
