I love walking in the Peaks and particularly Castleton area for enjoying a stroll. As the weather was delightful, the place was extremely busy, so I was unable to get served at my chosen pub. However, I was able to stroll and get a take away sandwich or ice cream from the local shops.
The Peak District is a true treasure! We went in the summer, which was the ideal season to explore this gorgeous national park. With stunning views at every bend, the walks are amazing. There is a trail for everyone, regardless of your level of hiking experience or preference for a more relaxed walk. Don't pass up the opportunity to view the vast moorlands, charming villages, and undulating hills. I strongly advise planning your next summer vacation to the Peak District!

With so many routes and places to see, there's never a dull walk in the peak district. Correct footwear, clothing, food, and drink is essential, along with a map and route plan. Ps check the weather

Lovely walk around Derwent Dam and Howden with the famalam. We had great weather for the day also which definitely helps when walking around and taking the beautiful scenery all in. Will come back again in the summer holidays to do a different route next time and see some more.
