Visitors to Magna Carta in Lincoln have praised the friendly and lively atmosphere, with clean tables and easy bar service. The pub offers typical pub grub like Steak n Ale pie and Gammon steak, with generous portions though some found the quality fair but not exceptional. Customers enjoyed a Guinness and Real Ale haven with views of the old town from upper floors. The staff were commended for their efficiency, friendliness, and ability to handle busy periods smoothly. Guests appreciated the cozy ambiance, delicious food like burgers with crisps, quick service even during peak times, accommodating staff for dietary requests, great value for money meals including vegetarian options, engaging quiz nights on Wednesdays hosted by Carl or Karl depending on reviews.
Amazing place. Historical relevance can't be ignored. Food is amazing. Cute atmosphere. Only trouble is that you need to order at the bar and not at the table, even though there are QR codes kept in every table. I found it a bit strange. Also I would recommend reserving a table because it is very popular and manot be able to find a table if you show up last minute.
Stopped by for a quick drink that turned into lunch .
Chose two of the warm baguettes from
The sandwiches section of the menu , which were ordered at the bar .
Initially were impressed with the atmosphere when we first entered , along with the friendly bar staff .
It was dog friendly which is always a plus+, and Baxter was provided with a bowl of fresh water, and some treats.
Food was prepared freshly and served in a timely manner , our Host Jay was courteous and friendly whilst serving our food .
We enjoyed our lunches, and would return when visiting again .
Reasonable priced food, hot and very good service. Staff welcoming. Dog friendly pub.
Lovely welcoming staff. We placed a last minute booking with a dog and they made sure there was space for us despite being fully packed communication over wait times was very clear. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
The staff on duty were lovely and friendly young people.
The food was OK, not the nicest quality but passable. For the price of the soft drinks they were pricey and not a great quality. We don't drink alcohol.
Thankfully, we were lucky enough to have a money off voucher which made it OK value for money.
