Really nice park with great facilities if you want to just relax you can find a place away from people or you can find somewhere close to the shops within the site. There’s a few rides and great climbing frame area. It’s got everything you need for a nice day out with the kids or just a nice stroll.

Honestly absolutely totally disappointed today , I have contact with my son every 2 weeks and I decided to bring him to wicksteed park, we purchased 3 tickets for the “farmyard” and it was the most miserable place I’ve ever seen animals kept. One pig, looking majorly depressed, the goats only had 2 trees in an otherwise empty field, no rats in the rat areas , no goats in the indoor goat area, one owl on its on in a corner, no ferrets in the empty ferret pen, charged us £3 per ticket and half the animals weren’t even there , I felt so sorry for my little boy. There was no ice cream truck nearly every ice cream stores there was hardly any ice creams, a certain staff member in the play area looked so miserably depressed and didn’t care for the kids at all. This was genuinely a massive let down , no warning that half the animals wasn’t there in the farmyard but still happily took full price for tickets. I feel like I let my son down today due to your lack of animals

It's a beautiful park, lots of play equipment to keep little people entertained. Lovely parkland for grown ups to stroll. That it is privately owned but free to access is remarkable. My winter visit saw a lot of the paid rides in hibernation, I hope they all come back and the park gets sufficient funds through the summer season... The coffee was awful. They need to find a better supplier.

Kids had the most of fun, lovely weather, nice and joyful rides. Very polite staff, offering all the information needed... Nice way to spend time

It was an amazing feeling to visit Wicksteed park as we could find almost every possible amusement for kids and families. The rides and boats were closed but we’d love to visit again in summer time to enjoy to the fullest.

Easy to get to, arrive early to ensure parking spaces available especially in big events, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Wristband tickets are great but double check in event days as most rides will be shut. Only flaw is exiting the park, I don’t know why so many gates were closed and everyone was bottle necked in the park trying to get out…oh and the funfair £4 plus for a ride per person is definitely excessive especially for families.

Wicksteed park is great. Always worth a visit. Lots to do and it’s a lovely family day out. if you’ve never been to Wicksteed before then you’re definitely missing out

Beautiful grounds to walk in, nice tea shop although cake was a bit pricey. We took the State Rooms tour. The guide had all the facts at her fingertips but could have spoken a bit louder and included a few interesting facts or amusing stories.

Lovely property however lots of it was cordoned off during our visit, which might have put us off if they had mentioned it when we bought our tickets. Lots of people walking around the gardens were grumbling about the house tickets being completely sold out 20 mins after opening, which we also missed out on. Such a shame when you’re coming from a long way. Definitely book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Statley House. Interiors are well preserved. No photos inside but it's a rare house with a lot of well preserved original architectural details. Massive gardens plenty of walks. Food and art exhibition on site

House doesn't open for much of the year. Did the Great Hall tour - knowledgeable guide took us round. Lots of family history plus other portraits and items of interest. Cafe on site for coffee and cake 🙂 then walk round the gardens. Beautiful setting in Northamptonshire countryside. You can see the Queen Eleanor Cross just down the road in Geddington on the same day if you wish.

Sadly, I feel compelled to edit this review, which was a positive one. We love Boughton and have visited several times in the past. However, we were not aware that the estate allowed bloodsports enthusiasts to 'exercise' here. This seems contrary to their ethos, as they run 'virtual shooting' sessions where no birds are harmed. It's a shame this doesn't extend to other wildlife, like the hare that was brutally torn to pieces by dogs on their grounds. This episode has since revealed the fact that Boughton allows at least two hunting groups access to its land, and that is unacceptable. Blood sports of any kind are rapidly becoming a thing of the past, and the sooner the better. Animal abuse has no place in modern society, and that includes heritage sites. Until Boughton amends its policy and severs all ties with barbaric blood sports groups, we (along with many others) will not be visiting.

Splendid house and two good tours to see different parts. Loved the walled and rose gardens and tea and cake. Not too busy unlike so many National Trust places these days.

We visited this afternoon for a walk around the gardens with our 2 small children. Great arrival procedure. So much space to explore, the children loved it. Beautiful surroundings. Clean toilet facilities. The tea shop is closed but you can get drinks and snacks, including delicious ice cream, from the gift shop. We can't wait for the house to open again in the future so we can wander around there too. A good value place to visit with lots of parking.

Had a lovely morning here, they had a free Halloween event for children, in which they had different crafting activitys in different areas of the museum. Which was nice as you got to look round the museum as well. Would deffently come back again to look around the museum itself.

it was so interesting to see how shoes were made in my local area..it had so much other stuff about Kettering and local things..the best part was it free!!..we spent around an hour looking round and time just went by so fast..there are things for the children to do here to keep them occupied too..well worth a look if you like history

A nice little museum. Unfortunately the first floor was closed when I visited as they were preparing an exhibition but I enjoyed my look around the ground floor exhibits and found it very interesting.

Took my son and he loved seeing all of the displays. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Found this place so interesting, on the day we went there were unicorns outside too, my little girl still says it was one of the best days of her life

Excellent theatre with intimate atmosphere and great acoustics for music, leaving big arenas trailing. Circle seats were well tiered allowing good view over the heads of rows in front.

Beauty and the Beast Pantomime: just returned home after watching today's performance with the grandchildren. It was absolutely outstanding - ticked all the panto boxes. Superb cast, great storyline, fantastic costumes. Well done to everyone involved. Can't wait for Cinderella next year 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is a smaller but well run welcoming theatre in Kettering. The show was put on to West End standard. All the staff were very freindly and helpful. The seating is very good with room to move. All in all a great night out brought together by wgat seems to be a great all round team at the Lighthouse

Out of town with next to no nearby amenities, getting here relies on private car. The auditorium itself is fine if a little tired, but the facilities are inadequate with incredibly smelly toilets that are almost unbearable to use.

Theatre itself is OK. Parking good. Bar is awful. Not many seat for the people there. Service incredibly slow. Felt really sorry for the young lad left on his own to deal with a massive queue. Tickets said wrong start time for show so we would have missed the start.

Just seen beauty and the best. It was fantastic. Best pantomime I ve seen in years. All cast were great. New they're lines. Dance scenes. Costumes. Great night out. Thank you.

Nice selection of small shops mostly ran by people of the community wanting to inject a bit more life into Kettering and bringing retail back to the high street. Everyone here has a passion for what they do which shows through the enthusiasm and dedication to the business and Kettering as a whole. A few hidden gems here, would highly recommend a visit

Very cool place in Kettering Town Centre. Something totally different and definitely worth visiting. Nice atmosphere, great food and drinks.

Very nice place if you're looking for something unique, although don't think about coming back for something as there appears to be a rapid turn around on units, so shops come and go regularly. If you're looking for retro or kitsch items then it's well worth a visit. There's a nice coffee shop and crepes kiosk (my daughter's personal favourite) so well with a visit.

A lovely selection of shops full of interesting niknaks. Great for buying some unique Birthday or Christmas presents for loved ones. Also, probably the most fun bar in Kettering. Lovely quirky decor, an air hockey table, friendly staff and REALLY nice cocktails. An excellent place to spend a Saturday night, can't recommend enough.

Excellent venue for small businesses to showcase their vintage/quirky/unique arcade style shops. If you are looking for something different made by artisans that you can't buy online, this is the place. Helpful friendly staff, definitely worth a visit. Outside the "old fire station" there is a cafe, barbers and other shops in old train carriages. Great atmosphere everytime. Events in the summer months.

We visited Mexican Fire Garden last night for my partners birthday. The customer service from booking the table to the incredible service we received on the night was second to none. They hosted 21 of us and the food served in great time. Everyone loved their dinners and we couldn’t fault any part of the evening (I definitely recommend the Enchiladas). What a little gem of a place- we will all be returning! ✨❤️

We didn’t have high expectations but the food was delicious and tasted authentic. We ordered 3 starters (quesadilla, calamari, potato skins) plus 1 Fajita steak and chicken combination. Everything was great but my favourite was the Fajita. They are not serving alcohol but guests are free to bring their own drinks without corkage fee. They also have a separate Vegan and Gluten Free menu. Their staffs are very friendly and helpful. Our total dining experience was great. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing meal here last night for my birthday! The staff were so friendly, the food was quick and tasted incredible. They found out it was my birthday after we got chatting and, without us asking, brought out desert with candles, and had the whole restaurant singing! A very nice touch - nothing was too much trouble. A lovely atmosphere and even better food. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

The staff Ali was very friendly and helpful, we had a lovely little chat while waiting for our food, the portions were large and the food was pretty good tex mex. The menu had a large variety, we opted for chicken and sujuk fajita, nachos with beef and chicken quesadillas along with a soft drink for 60£ Also, it is halal

So we about 20 colleagues divided to visit this restaurant on Tuesday night. The menu is delicious and plenty options to choose from. I ordered Ravioli pasta. I loved the creamy garlic sauce and the stuffing in pasta.. I highly recommend it

Everything we tried was delicious, but the onion garlic bread was our standout favorite. The service was prompt, and the owner was exceptionally kind and attentive.

We organised a good family get to gather in the restaurant around 20 people. The food was amazing and staff were also friendly with a good service. I liked Ravioli most because I ordered it😁. It was to yum that all other guests specially seated near me approached my main. Tiramisu was too good as well. I specially recommended this restaurant to visit at least one time, go and eat.

Lovely food, excellent service, well worth the visit. The lamb was excellent, as well as the garlic fries and cheesecake. Because it was my good lady's birthday they even came out with a birthday cake and shots to help us celebrate, and, add to was was already a lovely atmosphere. A most pleasant dining experience. Went for a family birthday meal. Had a great evening, the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and we even had a small tiramisu birthday cake with candles which was not booked. Will definitely go back.

Really lovely restaurant and super tasty food at very reasonable prices… lovely people running the place who are very invested in its success. Would have 5* for atmosphere if more people in the place eating… I am not from round here but this is a lovely gem which from local testimonials has a great local following… I love local independent restaurants like this and Kettering is lucky to have Casa Di Roma… but, like the saying goes, use it or lose it…..

What a stunning restaurant. Food is absolutely amazing, great quality and full of flavour. The owners are so friendly and will do everything to make your meal special. I live in Huntingdon and will come here again and again - highly recommended!!

Sadly, this Thai restaurant, our favourite, is closing on 24 Feb. It’s a sad day as we have loved every meal we’ve had here. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We’ll miss it. If you plan to attend before it closes, have the chili fried fish (37a on the menu) for a treat.

Beautiful, bloody beautiful. We had some starters and a selection of mains and I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The flavours are lovely. The ribs are a starter are great too, while they looked slightly dry, dont be put off, theyre very juicy

Collected order (first time) and I was impressed! Good vegan options, loved the bean curd and mix vegetables. The veg Massaman curry was the star!!! Absolutely delicious plus better than the ones I have tried in London. Friendly service too.

Thought restaurant had gone down hill to previous visits. Service was rushed. Food was generally good but found hair in one dish. Got an apology but no offer of amends or free drink. Wasn't offered dessert or asked uf we wanted extra drinks after meal.

This is probably our favourite restaurant in kettering. Thai food here is very good, always fresh and extremely tasty. Plus we live just around the corner on Northampton Road which is a great perk.

Beautiful food. We turned up without a reservation. It was very busy but they were very helpful in accommodating us. Had the dim sum, Tom yam, massaman and jungle curry. All were superb, but please be aware the jungle curry is hot! Lovely homely place, can't wait to go back again

A great find from Google. I would not have found it walking around. Great service, friendly staff, excellent food and..... Coeliac safe. The owner really understood and I enjoyed my meal all the more for the confidence given. Different levels of heat offered, I chose hottest of course. Why do otherwise! Highly recommended.

I'd actually give them 3.5 stars. Visited with friends a few weeks ago. Warm welcome and social distancing in place. It took quite a while until our food arrived. Food was good to be fair. The potato skins, tikka, rice and chhole were excellent. The chicken curry and naan was average. They didn't have dessert options. In the end, when we wanted to split the bill amongst us 6 we were asked if we could split it among 3 since otherwise the restaurant would have to pay for the transaction. I have never had this issue before. P.S we did the calculations and calculated to the nearest decimal only to be rudely reminded we paid 10 pence less!!! It wasn't our job to sort the bill in the first place. So I'd say 3.5 stars for food, 1.5 stars for service

Myself, friends and family have actually been to this place multiple times but kept forgetting to review it. Cannot rate it higher, a must go to. We went on a Saturday evening. Massive choice in dishes well presented, freshly made and full of flavours, not at all oily like some places. New dishes on the menu which were very tasty. There are very reasonably priced choices, from inexpensive up to banquets. Gluten free and vegan options available. wheelchair access.

Lovely meal tonight and particularly good to see a vegan section on the menu too. I think it could have been a little hotter (spicy) for my taste but still really enjoyed it. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Pricing not too bad and especially good value with the current eat out to help out campaign. Great place. Will be back again 😊

My second restaurant I visited whilst on business in Kettering. My honest review is that this Chef and their team enjoy what they cook for the diner and this is seen in the quality of the food produced. I had and would recommend the Chana Masala with green chilli, Tandoori Mix (exceptional), Tandoori Roti and Pilau rice. The Chana was flavoursome. The Mix Grill was amazing with the authentic charcoal taste. It was that good I had to bring some of it home for my sister to taste.

Totally brilliant. Good service and a very extensive menu that is well laid out if you need special diets. Food arrived for everyone at the same time which is good for our large party. The meals were all fantastic and actually caused all conversation to stop. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their chosen and very tasty dish. The portions were spot on.

The food was delicious, very flavoursome. The service was good, very friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was the temperature in the restaurant. We were a party of 5 and we all commented on how cold it was to the point that everyone kept their coats on. It was such a shame as everything else was great.

Found this place on Google I wanted to try as looked different to anything else my teenage daughter wasn't keen. We got here greated by very friendly staff who checked if been before then explained how they worked and where the loos where. They are dressed in uniform to match the theme done very well. The decision is wonderful rather relaxing and comfy seats. Was very good deals on we got my daughter meals for £1 with my adult main which helps in these hard times. The food is beautiful my burger was massive but cooked perfectly very tasty good quality ingredients. Pudding was also the same perfect. Now the people who work here do so much more than just a bar job they have fantastic knowledge and facts about Dinosaurs I won't say too much more it's very interactive so if you have any fans they will be in heaven and kept busy there's even fossil display in sand so bring your digging tools! This is completely different to any place I've ever eaten its been done so well. Callum was a total star today they also have interactive props which come round the tables. Personally I think this place is a total gem great for family's very interactive. Friendly staff who made sure everything was OK and clearly all well trained with the amount of facts and information they had

The food was really good - I had the light meal chicken burger and chips, which were crispy and tasty. The deep fried comets for dessert were amazing, highly recommend these!! What we didn't expect was some fossils to be brought out and for them to be explained to us - amazing interactivity with customers even though we are adults with no children, it was brilliant! Very fun and friendly atmosphere, thank you to Nicki and Tom (? Can't remember if that was your name haha) for the experience :))

This is such a quaint place and has a great atmosphere, Place looks amazing on the inside with the place looking like a jungle and there are Dinosaurs around the place, has a small little gift shop where you can buy souvenirs, t-shirts, Hoodies and Dinosaur related merchandise. The general manager is a wholesome Lady who had time to speak and show my son fossils and interact with him throughout our meal, same as the rest of The staff. ( we reserved a table with a highchair included and was setup before we even got there) great customer service 👍 Food was amazing, came to us in a timely manner and the presentation was brilliant. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be going back soon

Really good experience for a first visit. The food was spot on and the staff were brilliant in looking after us especially with 3 over excited young lads. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back for more. The meatorite burger is something special for sure.

What an absolutely wonderful place, fantastic for the kids, great food and great service. Staff are exceptional and really deliver the experience. Our daughter could talk of nothing else on the journey back. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend.

There was 12 of us that came yesterday for my daughters third Birthday and I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was lovely and the staff were absolutely amazing and sooo friendly. There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us. They made the whole experience really enjoyable and my daughter absolutely loved it.
