Wildlife and safari park
Nature & Parks
Located just 30 minutes from Dan Tel Aviv, the Ramat Gan Safari offers a unique safari and zoo experience in the heart of the city. Spanning over 250 acres, it provides ample space for animals to roam in a natural habitat. Visitors can drive through open-air exhibits or take a safari bus to see savanna animals up close. The park also features live shows, guided tours on open-air vehicles, and a zoo area with a diverse collection of furry and feathery friends.
Really nice place that we visit frequently. The wild animals part is really nice when it's not hot and the animals are active. The zoo part is also nice when it's not too crowded. Many exhibitions have been renovated in the last few years, and they are now more modern and let you watch the animals from closer range. Feeding times are always good to watch. Don't come on holidays since it's way too crowded.

Ramat Gan Safari is like a wild adventure where you can pretend you’re on a safari without needing to book a flight to Africa. Here, you’ll drive through a mini jungle, spotting giraffes, zebras, lions, and more—all while enjoying the air-conditioned comfort of your car. It’s like the animals know they’re on a "show" because they’ll casually stroll right by your window like they're in a fashion show. There’s also a zoo part where you can get up close with the animals, and they might even give you the “don’t bother me, I’m busy” look. Perfect for kids who want to be zookeepers for the day, or adults who still find giraffes the most majestic creatures ever.
Lilia S — Google review
They have discounts for Ramat Gan and Tel Aviv residents! Besides that, this place is full of emotions that cute animals can share with you. I love giraffes, zebras, orangutans, and night foxes. The 90 years old giant grandma-turtle is happy to blink you with an aye slowly. You can watch an orangutan TV show series live. Penguins are cooling down and eating fish. It's fascinating. And the animals are taken care of very well. Be aware that the lions’ site closes at 3 PM.
Nikita N — Google review
All in all was a good experience. We saw all the animals we expected to see. The place became very crowded during noon, so I recommend buying tickets a day or more in advance, but also coming as early as possible. English signs sometimes have mistakes in them, and generally the maps and signs could be better, but for Israel its good.
Yoel ( — Google review
The place is not maintained as one would of expected. The entire zoo is full of rats, even in the bears' cage!!! The ponds in the animals' cages are so filthy that it is difficult to see the bottom of the pond. Moreover, the crocodile's surrounding is very dirty, filled with trash and plastic bottles. Also, we hardly saw the lions because they were far away and their yard is surrounded by an electric wire that prevents them from approaching the cars. It was a fun experience for the kids, they enjoyed it. However, very disappointing...
Waad J — Google review
We came for a family outing during the holiday, and there was traffic worse then on Kvish Echad, and once you get there, there isn't much to see, and the animals seem tired and you barely see them. The end of it is that you spend three hours doing pretty much nothing. I think there needs to be a competition, and in the meantime it's not worth a visit. I added some pictures to show the ridiculously long lines just to see sleepy lions😂
Motty S — Google review
Entertaining. The Safari area is not very populated with animals, not much diversity but is fun to drive in the car through the park. We were lucky that a pair of rhinos crossed in front of us. The zoo area is ok but many animals were sleeping. It was impressive to see the enormous African elefant
Alejandro G — Google review
It's a really great place with a unique experience. The savanna area where families can drive and watch the animals around is a great experience. The petting area with the goats was a nice add-on to interact with the animals.

Amusement park

Luna Park in Tel Aviv is a popular amusement park that offers a mix of thrilling rides, water slides, and classic skill games with prizes. It is particularly appealing to teenagers with its white-knuckle rides and attractions like dodgem cars, the Anaconda roller coaster, rifle range, and the iconic Ferris Wheel providing stunning city views. The park is family-friendly and located near Park HaYarkon.
Very nice for kids and parents too. Advice take food with you, it's a little bit expensive there. A lot of attractions. Rest rooms and cool water all over the place. Places to have dinner, tables or grass. Do not take the car, go by train it's a 5 minute walk from Tel-Aviv university.
Dmitry D — Google review
This place is amazing. It has a lot of attraction to have fun in. A really great selection and variety of rides for kids of all ages, and they are nicely arranged that larger families can all stay together as young and old go on the rides they want. Lots of fun for the kids, yet it is a bit overpriced - 135₪ per person. make sure your kids are above 120cm at the very least or they won't be able to enjoy a lot of the rides. This place consists of slow & calm facilities and some more extreme ones. So this place fits to anybody.🥰🥰

I know it's not Europe here, but I can't help but feel embarrassed to know that this place exists. The prices went up by at least 40 shekels in six years, which is just too much. There's nothing new there for years, it's not that big of an area, no theme, the food options are very limited and the lines are insanely long. Three roller coasters is just embarrassing. Efteling, for example, costs less than 200 shekels, it's almost 15 times the size of this place, with many food options and with a theme, an app to track the time of lines during the day itself and to navigate there. It's all dirty and 13 year olds are just too rude to care, not enough regulations and it's just lame. Very disappointed to see that nothing changed in seven years!! SEVEN!!
Shaked ( — Google review
It is a nice mid-size park with many attractions. Most of the are all about spinning you... There is a list of required heights and all attractions are divided into 3 main categories. To fully enjoy the place a kid should be at least 130cm high. But there are many attractions that 100-120cm can enjoy with an adult. Food is not so tasty and very expensive. You can bring in food with you... Eventually, kids and adults will have fun 🎢
Niv C — Google review
The park itself is cool, modern and there's a variety of attractions. All the same, I'd never go there again as the park isn't able to cope with crowds and crowds of people visiting it. To get to each attraction you have to wait around 30-40 mins in a queue. As a result, you wait 30 mins for the sake of a 3min ride. That's unbearable, kills any desire. At the same time, while you're waiting children and people constantly fill in the line, and just when it's you turn 3-5 people appear in front of you, claiming that there a person was standing who has been holding the line for them. As for the food - pricey and disgusting, especially burgers. In two hours we were absolutely drained and no more willing to continue the torture.
Yun — Google review
Needs to know that it is open only on Saturdays before kids holidays. We visit with 6/8/10 years kids and spend time from 10.20 A.M till 7 P.M. So it is really good place. For eating not take pizza for kids. It is frozen and pull to oven. Better take nuggets :) All informatiom not on english but workers speak english perfect :)
Greta S — Google review
A lot of activities, price of 145 which i would say is worth it if you take a ride on everything they have. The lines are very long on vacation days so it's not really possible to try everything. Would still recommend

Its a bit pricy but still one of the best places to visit with the family or with the friends.. we had lot of fun with our friends and the kids. I would give it a five star rating if it was a bit cheaper.. check before you go if they are open.. they are not open everyday .

Ramat Gan National Park is a sprawling green space surrounding an artificial lake, offering a picturesque setting with diverse flora and fauna. The park features a natural history museum, zoo with safari tours, and an amphitheater for various activities. Visitors can enjoy the scenic views of the park's ponds filled with water lilies while spotting gazelles roaming freely among palm trees. With playgrounds, outdoor library, hammocks, and large exercise equipment areas available, it's an ideal destination for families.
Such a remarkable park, completely isolated from the noisy city. If you haven't visited yet, you definitely should! Once you get there - you can, of course, enjoy a picnic, or dine in one of the great coffee places scattered around the pond. Ps- free parking for Ramat Gan residents

Ramat Gan National Park ... It is a beautiful city park with an artificial lake and surrounded by many trees, plants and flowers. The park has so much to offer. Green spaces, a lake with wildlife such as geese and ducks, several on site restaurants, ice cream shop, several playgrounds and an amazing new splash park, that turns into a audio-visual sensation, in a beautiful show of lights and water. It is surrounding an artificial lake scattered with trees and banchs to relax on. There is a ship-like building in the lake that stands empty for many years, they really should open a restaurant there.. There is a waterfall that works in the afternoon and evening that has lights on it to color the water.Highly recommended to visit once’s a month 🫰🏻🫰🏻

Probably the best park in the Central District. This is a huge park with a lathe pond at the middle that hosts a very large amount of different animals (mostly birds). The park is extremely grooms, with it's own private crew that keeps this charming place. You can do lots here, there's a big space for children play equipment, vast lawns for picnic, the biggest outdoor gym if you fancy some exercise and even an amazing eucalyptus trees interactive boulevard that tell the story of Israel best known composer “Nehomi Shemer” please keep this amazing place clean and don't feed the animals.

Ramat Gan National Park is a truly lovely place to spend quality time with the whole family. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely outing. What's particularly impressive is the recent "facelift" the park has undergone in recent years. These improvements have added some fantastic new areas that cater to different interests. We especially enjoyed: * The beach volleyball courts, which looked like a lot of fun. * The peaceful reading nook, a perfect spot to unwind with a book. * The well-equipped public fitness area, great for getting some exercise outdoors. * The charming Naomi Shemer grove trail, a lovely walk through nature. * The woodland path with its interesting explanations (currently only in Hebrew, but easily translatable with Google). Adding to the park's appeal, especially during the warmer months, is the fantastic water fountain complex. This area is a huge hit with children, providing a fun and refreshing place to run around and cool off on hot days. It also offers a captivating sound and light show that takes place at night, creating a magical experience for visitors of all ages. Overall, Ramat Gan National Park offers a delightful experience for everyone. The recent additions have only enhanced its appeal, making it a must-visit destination in the area. Highly recommended!

Museums
Tel Aviv Museum of Art is a renowned museum featuring an international collection of modern and contemporary art, along with a captivating sculpture garden. Situated on the eastern edge of Tel Aviv, it is part of the new central business district in Sarona Market. The museum was established in 1932 and has grown to become one of Israel's largest and most significant art institutions. Visitors can explore various departments showcasing Israeli art, modern art, photography, design, architecture, and more.
Tel Aviv Museum art was great, it has many of the modern impressionists and European (Artist) Jew's in the collection which was wonderful to see. There was plenty on offer to see and I would recommend a visit here if you enjoy the visual arts.

Beautiful modern art! Went to see a couple of Jacques Lipschitz works here. Had only ever seen 1 work in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY (“Between Heaven and Earth”) which is perhaps his finest piece and makes one reflect each and every time on its meaning.

Incredible building. Amazing activities for children and great cafe. However not accessible at all, super complex to navigate with stroller. Also even though many kids activities it's a shame there's no smaller sink and toilet.

Normally I am not very affine to arts but this museum caught me. Due to the hot weather we were looking for a place to go. We had our children (age of 8 and 10) with us and we really had fun. It's amazing what children are able to see in paintings. I was really impressed by the artists which are shown there: Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Picasso.... But also the contemporary part was great. I can really recommend it (also with children).

It was incredible, Probably the best gallery the best museum I have ever visited. There were paintings by Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte and other talented artists and creators. The woman (I’m so sorry, i forgot the name😣) who painted a picture dedicated to October 7, 2023. Oh my god, I cried. EVERYONE should visit here!

I visited this museum with my child during what we thought was off-hours. To our pleasant surprise, the museum had several free activities for children on that day. A delightful and unexpected experience that made our visit extra special. We certainly appreciate the efforts the museum is making to engage young audiences. Highly recommend for families with children!

I'm still under big impression. complimenting the whole building "Cas Cade" is pleasing to the eye huge construction that fit on the TLV museum so perfectly, and it unfolds differently on different floors. Yashka Shawarma is an iconic Israeli street food that features well-seasoned marinated meat slices slow-roasted on a flame and served with Israeli salad, tahini sauce, and pickles. Located at the corner of Frishman and Dizengoff Streets, this casual joint offers two varieties of shawarma: turkey and veal. Customers can choose from pita bread, baguette, or laffa to enjoy their flavorful shawarma.
Do you review the Mona Lisa? Hamlet? A sunrise? No so you don’t review Yashka. You go, you shout your order at them. They give you more than you ordered. Then you eat it and you smile that your life has not been wasted. A visit to Israel without getting food here is an affront to all that is holy. Come at night to people watch. Best dinner and a show this side of the Atlantic Ocean.

I eat here a few time before, last time was very disappointing. The meat was burnt and dry. although I asked for a fresh cut, the worker insisted that the meat is fresh
Michael — Google review
To be honest, I couldn’t say that it was the best shawarma or falafel (I tasted both of them), but all toppings were fresh, service was quick and welcomed. The location is cool, as for me. The corner of Dizengoff street, when always busy and rowdy so you can eat and watch everyone is in a hurry ))
Sofia M — Google review
Waited 15-20 minutes for them to make 1 sandwich. Didn’t mind that part, what I did mind was watching the entire time as the worker ate with his hands/licked his fingers while simultaneously handling people’s food
My Y — Google review
This is likely the best shawarma in Tel Aviv. You order first and pay then give your receipt to the guys behind the counter to make your meal. All seating is outside and make sure to ask for utensils because they often forget to put them in if you get something to go. Food quality is fantastic. Pro tip. Get drinks elsewhere such as the grocery a block away and then get food here and sit outside.
Jeremy B — Google review
OMG! I've really missed a good shawarma! After 2 years abroad this is the first place in Tel Aviv I've walked into. It was pretty busy with a mix of locals and tourists. Was quite difficult to find a clean table, and had to wait for about 7 minutes before I could order. But guys, it was so worth it. The pita bread was divine. It was filled with a huge amount of shawarma. At one point I thought I wouldn't be able to eat the whole thing, but I ended up licking my fingers after the last bite. The staff was friendly. Prices are not cheap, but for the prime location on Dizingoff Street it may be understandable. Thanks guys for a great meal!

How I didn’t know about this spot before?! I went there today for lunch around 2pm, me and my friend enjoyed a lot! The service there is great, the food is delicious and atmosphere is pretty amazing chill and quiet (lunch time) with all the flowers around! Love the decoration, fun sitting there! Btw 12-5pm they have 15% off! Which is nice because the prices are kinda pricy, and between 5-7pm they have even 20% ! Definitely will be back! Would love to check this place at night!
Gal Z — Google review
The place has nice ambience and good vibes. Food was good but overpriced in my opinion - it is a cafe/bar/restaurant that does a lot of things (burgers, pizza, pasta, fish) so you can’t really expect it to be exceptional. That said, everything was ok or better. If prices were 15-20% lower value to price would have been better.

Been there a few times, it’s such a charm. The food is amazing, everything made with high quality and attention to details, great cold sangrias for a summer noon or eve, the yard is cute and perfect for sunny days. Too bad everything served in disposables so compared to that and self service the prices are a bit high.

Bodega American Kitchen, also known as בודגה מטבח אמריקאי, is a family-run kosher restaurant in Tel Aviv that offers a variety of classic American dishes. The menu features delicious smash burgers, signature hot dogs, crispy cornflake chicken, truffle fries, and freshly baked chocolate chip & sea salt cookies. One of their standout items is the kosher bacon double cheeseburger which has gained popularity in Israel.
Absolutely what we have all been waiting for, Kosher American style burgers! We tried a bit of everything from bacon cheese burgers, chilli cheese fries, onion rings and a kimchi hot dog. They have rootbeer to top everything off. Really recommend to all Americans who need a taste of home. Thanks Bodegas, Lots of success!

This burger spot, a notch above McDonald's, lures with its high Google rating. You order via a screen, collect your meal, and enjoy it at outdoor tables across from the window. While the fries shine as the star, the burger disappoints—dry and devoid of flavor, the meat too finely chopped to savor. Mayo and ketchup come in frustrating envelopes. For a true burger experience, keep searching; the fries are worth it, but the burger is not.

Delivery review: One of the best burgers we had! Only thing is that the food portions are small and therefore makes it quite pricy..take that into consideration when ordering. Also, not for the really really hungry people. Other than that, everything arrived fresh and tasted delicious:) We had one burger with gluten free bun and the chicken sandwich.

Good. But value for money wise, not so good. 98 Shekls its wayyy too much for what you see in the picture. (Including the sparkling water that is not in the picture). ***Need to mention that the service was great! Nice people are working there.

As a returning customer, we ordered from Bodega in Tel Aviv for four people: four burger meals with fries, plus extra nuggets. A small fry costs 17 shekels, but cheddar fries are 35 shekels – an extra 18 shekels for a tiny pot of cheddar. We ordered 5 nuggets for 55 shekels, but each was so small, like half a McDonald’s nugget. We spent 400 shekels on delivery, and the portions were disappointing. Even customer support confirmed the prices and portions. Overall, a very disappointing experience; Bodega is off my list.

The Whiskey Bar & Museum, situated in the historic Sarona district, is a unique establishment with a rich history. Housed in a former 19th-century wine cellar that was once utilized by the Mossad, this venue offers an intriguing blend of museum, bar, and restaurant. Boasting an extensive collection of over 1000 whiskeys from 13 different countries, it stands as one of the largest whiskey bars globally.
I was here with my team for our last supper in Israel as after this we all were going back to our destination. We were greeted well as a team and our server was very smart and quick. She took everyone's drink order and made sure everyone gets what they ordered. Since it's a whiskey bar we ordered whiskey and a glass of red wine. There were appetizers that were served in all different kinds, tuna, beef, vegetables and so on. Our main course was chicken and Salmon. I ordered salmon and it was delicious, thereafter dessert was served and to those who needed coffee that was served too. The food was delicious, the service was great and the ambience is unique as it is an old independence war shelter and planes factory with majestic whiskey bar with a huge collection of blends and bottles, it's also a great restaurant since it serves Kosher food. The ambiance is amazing. Highly recommended!! They have three stories but we were on the second floor. The restroom is a little small but neat and clean. Overall, I will highly recommend visiting this place as there's a lot more to explore at this bar.

We were a walk-in, a group of 4 people. They didn't have room, we didn't make an appointment in advance, but they recommended we try their cigar bar around the way called Walter's. Same menu, just with cigars. Was great. Service is a bit slow but the place is huge, whisky selection was great and I felt that the prices were decent for what we got to eat which was great. Highly recommended, I've gone 4 times in the past 3 months.

Great experience, the service was good but there is room for improvement, we ordered a few glasses of wine and instead of coming to the table with a bottle and empty glasses the waiter went back and forth to the bartender to fill glasses. This is just an example and the service was great besides those small points. The food and alcohol is amazing and fresh. The atmosphere is the perfect combination between ancient and new. Overall experience: 8.7/10

😃 Except it is an amazing shelter bar with a huge whisky collection it is also one of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv. All of the dishes we ordered were so delicious and satisfying, the wine was great as well. However, in terms of service, we waited too long in the beginning even though we had a reservation and it took around 15 minutes for someone came to take the order, but the service turns to be great after so it was all good 😉

Probably the best whiskey bar & museum in the world. Huge veriety of whisky from all kinds, great cocktails, and amazing kitchen - smoked meats from the Josper! The steaks are from the best in Israel, and don't miss the desserts by pastry chef Noa Einat which are all perfect. Very recommended as a bar, and as a restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and beautiful interior design! But the restaurant is overpriced. You can find better food in Tel Aviv for better price. We ordered fish and beef carpaccio, duck liver and 500gr steak. Yemeni restaurant
Restaurant
Saluf & Sons is a lively and cozy eatery in Tel Aviv, paying homage to the Yemeni immigrant community in the Kerem Hateimanim neighborhood. The restaurant offers a taste of authentic Yemenite cuisine, with dishes like Yemeni meat soup and mallawach, a savory pastry filled with tomato puree, tahini, and a hard-boiled egg. Guests can also enjoy spicy dips and may even receive complimentary shots of arak from the friendly staff.
The highlight of our Tel Aviv trip has been consistently good food, every single meal, and Saluf and Sons is no exception. It’s been a stand-out experience and we will go back at least one more time before we leave! Excellent food. Highly recommend. Edit: We did indeed go back to Saluf & Sons a second time before we left Israel and it was exceptional, as expected. The best food in Tel Aviv! The chef in the picture was the most welcoming and friendly person even though he was serving non-stop for more customers at the same time. The food was fresh and tremendously delicious! I would come back again and again!

Overall a good experience. We had a late lunch here after 2pm. We were served fairly quickly. Both of us had the classic and meat Shaksukas. They turned out very nice, the sauce was spicy but not overly hot the accompanied chillies sauce was handy to give it more of a kick. The salads were complimentary and nice. For two of us the bill came to about 120 NIS.

The food feels homemade and delicious. I'm so glad to have encountered this amazing restaurant. I have received the best service at a restaurant in this place. The waitresses were absolutely wonderful. Kind, helpful and attentive. This is the first restaurant in Israel that has provided such a great food, quality and service experience. Absolutely recommend and would definitely come back.

Asked for a recommendation from a local off the street on my first day in Tel Aviv. He recommended this place. It is easy to see why they're so well rated. This Yemeni place has awesome food and equally excellent service. The waiter was kind and friendly and explained the menu. When he found out I was visiting Israel for the first time, he came by to serve aome shots of arak on the house. A must visit.

Had the small triple plate which allows choice between a small portion of a main dish, a couple of salad options and a small hummus. I ordered the beans with meat and it was delicious - melt in your mouth and falling apart in well spiced sauce. The salad was very fresh and hummus was above average. The price was reasonable at 64 shekels including a soda water.

Saluf & Sons – A Must-Visit for Authentic Yemenite Cuisine in Tel Aviv During my recent visit to Israel, I was on the hunt for some good Persian food, given my Iranian heritage. Unfortunately, I found that many Persian restaurants in the area didn’t offer the best selection of authentic dishes. That led me to explore other options, and I couldn’t have been happier to end up at Saluf & Sons. I’ve always believed that Yemenite cuisine is one of the most wholesome and flavorful traditional meals you can have in Israel, given its deep integration into Israeli food culture. Personally, I lean more towards Sephardic and Mizrahi flavors rather than Ashkenazi cuisine, and Saluf & Sons did not disappoint. In fact, I’d go as far as to say it was even better than Shimon King of Soups, which is another well-known spot in the area. Walking into Saluf & Sons, I immediately noticed the inviting ambiance. The restaurant is housed in an old building, but everything is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The experience was made even better by the exceptional service, something that can be hit or miss in Israel. I want to emphasize this: the hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made a huge difference. If you’re an English speaker who doesn’t know Hebrew, this is a great place to dine because the staff was accommodating and friendly. As for the food, my mother and I ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was fantastic. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and despite ordering generously, the final bill was quite reasonable. Without a doubt, I’d highly recommend this restaurant and fully intend to return on my next trip. If you visit, I also suggest checking out the Persian restaurant directly across the street. Though I didn’t get a chance to eat there, it was completely packed, and when I peeked into the kitchen, I saw an elderly couple preparing the food—a telltale sign of authentic, home-cooked flavors. That spot is definitely on my list for next time. Final verdict: If you’re looking for a place that offers delicious, traditional Yemenite food with great service, Saluf & Sons is an excellent choice. Just don’t eat too much—you’ll want to save room for more culinary adventures nearby!
