For just 10 dirhams, the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization offers a fascinating look into Islamic history and culture. Highlights include a 13th-century Qur’an, displays on early medical treatments, and even the world’s smallest Qur’an, truly remarkable artifacts that bring history to life. While the collection is impressive and well curated, the staff weren’t very helpful in explaining the exhibits, which could be a letdown for first time visitors. Still, the museum is worth a visit for anyone interested in the rich legacy of Islamic civilization.

Free entry during Ramadan. Free parking. Ask security to lift the gate to the parking if it’s not open. Nice building with several galleries dedicated to different themes from the mosque to science and discoveries. Some beautiful potteries and many models making the 2 hours tour it takes to explore quite interesting and fun. A small shop sells few books and postcards. They do not accept credit card under 20AED.

Very well kept and nicely presented Museum. To know about the UAE's history is very limited since on their culture it was very much insisted to focus on the present day than recording the history . More than 70% of the artifacts were from other countries apart from UAE . The basic survival before the oil age was a very challenging one on this land , though inspite of all this , they had presented the available artifacts in a very sophisticated and modern way . It is a must see for all other countries government appropriate authorities to LEARN how to present the invaluable jwells which their countries have in their country museum. From this kind of museum. (Even a small kingdom of Hydrabad Nizams family collection in Telangana State in INDIA seems to be very very much more than this countries best museum but the way in which they had presented is absolutely awesome)

We had a wonderful visit to Sharjah Aquarium! The tour took about an hour, and we came in the morning, so there was no waiting. The entrance fee is AED 25 for adults. The aquarium is well-maintained, and the sharks and fish were absolutely amazing to see. It's a great spot for a quick visit. They have a small restaurant with outdoor seating, perfect for unwinding after the tour. The souvenir shop is a nice touch as well. The staff were incredibly helpful making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend it

..This is a fantastic place for kids, offering a wide variety of fish and marine life, including impressive sharks. It's a great spot to spend an evening. Our visit inside the aquarium, complete with photo opportunities, took approximately one hour
Rohith N — Google review
I visited Sharjah aquarium on a weekend and it was not crowded, with decent amout of people. The entrance is 25 AED + 5 AED tax. First you'll be greeted with photographer who will capture 3D pictures with various backdrops which can be purchased later (optional). Then the journey will begin. It's takes like 1.5 to 2hrs if you're reading the etymology/anatomy. This is such an interesting place for the kids as well, there were sharks, stingray, and starfish (you can touch it) which I found very interesting. There's also a screen where you can play games related to the anatomy of fish and sharks. To top it of, a cafe is located near the exit where you can grab a quick snack or drink. Overall I would rate this place a 5/5 for it's atmosphere, customer service, and ambience. Must visit if you're in Sharjah.
Lakshmipriya G — Google review
My kids loved the Aquarium so much. We paid 90 dirhams for 2 adults and 2 kids under 7. Which was a pretty good price. There are several types of sea creatures here in various parts of the aquarium. My favourite was the part where you are allowed to pet some of the small fishes like star fishes etc. The place also has a Caffè at the very top that serves snacks and drinks. There's also a gift shop where you can buy some souvenirs.

Its a nice place to go outing with your kid on a fine sunday! You can see different species fishes, other sea animals.its neat and clean and also you can watch a beautiful sunset at the cafe later in the evening! It was a great experience. If your kid is also crazy for sea animals, its a great place to visit with family!

This aquarium is a decent place to visit, offering a peaceful atmosphere and an opportunity to explore various aquatic species. The ambiance is pleasant, making it a good spot to spend time surrounded by nature. One interesting feature is their photography service, where they take pictures with visitors’ permission and create decorative 3D models, such as a ship with your photo inside, along with other unique designs. Though I’m not familiar with the exact names of these models, they add a creative touch to the experience. The entry fee is 25 AED per person, which is reasonable for a small yet well-maintained aquarium. It houses a variety of fish and marine creatures, making it a nice place to explore and enjoy some quality time. I was able to explore everything within an hour, so it's not a very large place, but it's still a good experience.

With over 100 species, including sharks, rays, and moray eels, the aquarium beautifully showcases the rich marine life of the Arabian Gulf. The exhibits are well-organized, with clear information about each species, making it an engaging experience for kids and adults alike. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, ready to answer any questions. A mosque is conveniently located beside the aquarium, making it easy for visitors to pray on time. It’s a wonderful spot to explore the underwater world while keeping prayer obligations in mind.

Sharjah Aquarium offers a captivating journey into the underwater world, making it a must-visit destination for marine life enthusiasts. Spread over two floors, the aquarium features more than 20 large tanks, each housing a diverse collection of marine species. Visitors can marvel at the vibrant coral reefs, playful clownfish, majestic rays, and even small sharks. The environment is family-friendly and educational, with detailed information provided about the marine ecosystems and their importance to our planet. The design of the aquarium creates an immersive experience, with dim lighting and clear glass tanks that allow you to feel as though you’re part of the ocean. There's also a strong emphasis on marine conservation and awareness. In addition to its marine displays, the aquarium is located near Al Khan Lagoon, providing picturesque views and a chance to explore the nearby Sharjah Maritime Museum. Loved this place. In the hustle bustle of sharjah lies this beautiful island. So serene and gives in much positive vibes and calmness. I spent like 3-4 hours there and i don’t know how time just passed. Ticket is priced at AED 35 each. If you’re a nature lover this is the place for you. It is not a big island but definitely worth visiting.

I recently visited a hidden gem in the heart of Sharjah, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location offers a perfect blend of nature and leisure. It’s a serene, magical place where you can watch vibrant butterflies flutter around in a beautiful, tranquil environment. It’s a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The café inside and outside the garden offers a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. Whether you’re enjoying a coffee while overlooking the lush greenery or sitting outside with a view of the stunning beach, it’s an experience that truly complements the peaceful atmosphere. Speaking of the beach, it was magnificent. The clear waters, soft sand, and peaceful ambiance made it the perfect place to spend some time. If you’re in Sharjah, this is a must-visit spot. It’s the ideal place to relax, enjoy nature, and indulge in some local charm. I can’t recommend it enough—definitely a place to visit if you want to escape and enjoy some peace and beauty! ♥️🤍

A small beautiful Island in Sharjah. Very well maintained with all amenities. A green Beauty with small butterfly park, exercise area Trampoline etc. Park is having many segments of environment preservance. Cactus park & waterfront etc picturesque. A small cafeteria serves your need...
Arun D — Google review
It is an awesome place for someone who loves nature. Butterfly Garden is kind of waste because it is a very small area. If you are visiting a butterfly garden for the first time, then you will enjoy it. Aed15 extra for it will be worthy. But if you have already visited the Dubai butterfly garden , then it will be a waste visit this one. From the moment you enter this place, till you exit you can hear birds sound which I felt relaxing. I just loved the swing area inside. It looks awesome during sunset. Few beach side areas are closed right now for maintenance. That was a main area with trampoline and beach/city side view. If you love greenery and birds song then this is it.

Ticket price is 35 dirhams for adults and 20 dirhams for children. It’s a small, man-made island, but it’s a beautiful spot. The island is filled with a variety of trees, which is pretty rare for this part of the world. The breeze here is cool, and it’s a peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature. Families, in particular, love coming here for picnics and quality time together. People of all ages kids and adults alike can find something to enjoy. Overall, it’s a lovely, tranquil place to visit.

This museum celebrates Arabic artists and the incredible talent across the Arab world. The Barjeel section at the Sharjah Art Museum features a fascinating variety of paintings from different artists, each telling unique stories from important moments in history. The collection changes every six months, so there’s always something new to see. You can even request a curator to guide you if you want to dive deeper. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s located in a heritage-rich, old area of Sharjah, perfect for a stroll and exploration after your visit. Best of all, it’s completely free. Highly recommended! Note: I purposely made my videos and pictures with a wide, zoomed-out angle and dimmed exposure so I wouldn’t spoil the gallery for you. Just wanted to give you a glimpse of the vibe and atmosphere!

Fen Café & Restaurant - Al Mureijah is a popular spot with a serene setting near the Sharjah Art Foundation, attracting both art enthusiasts and food lovers. The menu offers a variety of dishes, from chia pots and kale salads to ube lattes, giving it a trendy vibe. The entrees are particularly noteworthy, featuring locally sourced seafood and parmesan-truffle fries.
Place has an old world charm, looks rustic but modern decor. They have their own take on food preparation. It may appeal to many but some would be left dissatisfied. Place is worth visiting. I would definitely return again though our friend would not want to.

Great setting, though January 2025 a building is being demolished next door so it’s noisy & dusty, and maybe that’s why it was so empty. Think I chose the wrong dish-the tuna didn’t at all feel fresh-it was tough & inedible-even the cats weren’t keen on it 🙃

Absolutely stunning interiors, amazing staff and delicious organic food. What is not there to love? I visited this cute cafe last Friday and I was completely mind blown by the summer specials. What I absolutely love most about this place is the range of veg dishes. Being a vegetarian I was ecstatic to find spicy spaghetti (my new found favorite) and truffle fries. I opted for their fresh juices and also ‘Halo Halo’ for dessert. Definitely coming back again to try more items from the menu. A must try when in Sharjah

The enchanting views of the Arabian Gulf complement the exotic seafood cuisines, creating an ideal ambiance for a special evening. With its focus on cooked to perfection seafood and a range of appetizers, Casa Samak is a top choice for those seeking a fancy yet relaxing dining experience.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Casa Samak yesterday afternoon with my Husband. The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, full of rich flavors that truly impressed us. The service was exceptional as well as friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The beautiful atmosphere added to the experience, making it the best spot for seafood lovers. Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again!

The seafood here is absolutely delightful. Having dined at numerous places across several continents, I can confidently say this beach restaurant surpasses all others I’ve visited. From selecting fresh fish at the counter from an impressive variety, to the impeccable service, every detail of the experience was flawless. The expertly prepared dishes were simply delicious, and the cherry on top was savoring it all while watching the sun dip below the horizon. An unforgettable experience!

The fish and prawns were good. Fatoush salad was bad and comes with a lot of bell peppers. Overall the food was good and the facilities were nice.
Bernardo S — Google review
We had high hopes for this seafood restaurant, but it was a complete letdown. We ordered the seafood platter with extra crispy calamari, only to be served rubbery, hard-to-chew pieces. The prawns were overwhelmed with cumin, making them inedible, and the mussels had an off-putting taste. The fish was raw in the middle while somehow crispy on the sides—a clear sign of poor cooking. The chowder looked nothing like the menu photo and tasted like straight-up cream. Honestly, everything was bad, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Staff are very friendly. Service is great. BUT, food is less than alright, AND it is EXPENSIVE. I wasn’t happy with the fries that my friend and I ordered. I have asked the waiter if they were snap frozen and he said yes, which made the fries very soggy and moist to eat, however the spices and sauces were great. We also ordered Dynamite Chicken sliders, the chicken patty is so thin, you can barely taste any chicken in it, very poor quality. Presentations are great, but taste is missing. I have complained face to face to many of the staff in a very nice way without being mean because I am not like that, hoping for some action to be taken or at least for an apology for the horrendous food quality, but did not get any. Not worth the money you spend on food. But drinks are great :) I don’t recommend you wasting money on their food.

Impressed by the place as a whole. I'm a fan of the interior. I tried 2 burgers and they were enough to make me curious to try their other dishes as well. The black gold burger would be perfect in my books if it weren't for the small size. I understand its wagyu beef, but I would've made it bigger than the other burgers to persuade customers to go for the more expensive option. It was really good. I haven't described a food as "powerful" before but this one was. I tried another burger because I didn't feel full and didn't want to pay 38 dhs for fries, so I paid 47 for their tornado burger, which was also great but naturally not as delicious as the black gold. I wanted to give the restaurant 4 stars because I wanted them to consider either lowering the price of the black gold burger or making it larger, but I liked the fact the restaurant gave options at different prices (there's a 3rd burger priced at around 37 dhs). I do hope they consider modifying this burger though, without changing the taste or ingredients. I'll probably try steak another time or perhaps some other best-selling dish here. Staff are nice, too. Wagyu eggs Benedict was alright 🤷‍♂️ not too good, not too bad... Didn't really taste the beef that well, and it was relatively small in size. Tried their fried chicken burger. It was surprisingly good, thought I'd like it a bit less oily. Tried their ribeye steak, didn't like it that much. It's acceptable but definitely not worth 135 dhs. Didn't like the chimichurri sauce it came with either. If you decide to get a ribeye steak, make sure to ask for it without this sauce. Instagram: @HouseoFlavour (House o' Flavour)

Lebanese restaurant
Shababeek Restaurant, which means "window" in Lebanese Arabic, is a luxurious dining spot located next to the Al Qasba Canal. The restaurant's ambiance and layout exude an artistic touch, creating a serene atmosphere for diners. The menu features modern Lebanese dishes with traditional roots, curated by celebrity chef Maroun Chedid from Top Chef Middle East. From delectable hummus to succulent meats, the culinary journey is exceptional.
My husband and I were looking to enjoy a light lunch. This restaurant is quite near to our flat, conveniently located in the Al Qasba. We were immediately greeted by staff and given a table. Soon after, we were given a nice little glass of lemonade and some snack with dip. As we only wanted a light meal, we ordered the Hummus with tenderloin and the meat sambousek. Both were delicious and satisfying. Service was fast and the staff was attentive. In all it was an enjoyable afternoon meal.

Shababeek Restaurant, Sharjah is a haven for lovers of authentic Lebanese cuisine. Nestled in the charming Al Qasba area, this restaurant offers stunning views of the canal and an ambiance that blends traditional Lebanese aesthetics with modern elegance. During my visit, I was impressed by their commitment to quality and detail. The menu highlights include the creamy Hummus Beiruti, crispy Falafel, and flavorful Tabbouleh salad. I also tried the popular Fatayer Spinach, which was fresh and delicious. The main courses are equally impressive. The Mixed Grill Platter is a must-have, featuring perfectly grilled Shish Tawook, Kafta, and tender Lamb Chops. The Sayadieh (spiced rice with fish) was another standout dish, showcasing a delicate balance of flavors. For dessert, the Kunafa stole the show with its gooey cheese and crispy topping, paired beautifully with a cup of Arabic Coffee. Shababeek Sharjah is not just about food; it’s an experience. The place has nice ambience and the food is good. The kids loves the chicken fingers from the kids menu. I gave 4 only because I didn’t like their desserts. The staff is very polite!

Great Labanese restaurant. I enjoyed the chicken grill and kunafa. The server was really friendly and patient in answering all of our questions. We were surprised when one of the staff members offered us complementary coffee. The food tasted wonderful. We had a nice time and would definitely revisit.

Went here for brunch. This is probably the outlet with the best view while you are dining. There is indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas available. The food was amazing - we ordered the Brisket Eggs Benedict, Fish and Chips, American Breakfast, and the Banana Foster for dessert. Service was quick with servers being accommodating - asking us to reheat our coffee or bring additional ice cream when it melted on the banana foster. My only comment would be that they need to change their cutlery as the one they are using now is scratched up. Don't forget to use your Fazaa discount when you visit.

I do visit this place often - sometimes my experience is good, sometimes is not. It depends on how good we have been served. They serve really tasty desserts and burgers - these are you have to try for sure. About the interior - it is just perfect - one of my favorites so far. Unfortunately, the toilet is usually dirty - that is something you have to take care about. Overall, this place is nice. However, certain improvements have to be done.

Place is very nice, but service was very slow even though coffee shop was almost empty. With the restrictions in place drink was served in plastic cups. Very dirty outside seating area. Drinks were very tasty but I won’t go there again.

We enjoyed the food. It was really tasty. However, prices are considerably high against the low quality service (though staff were professional, but the number of staff was very limited). Glass all over the place was dirty (see photos), ceiling has fungus in various places (I don't know how the Municipality did not close that place till date), cleaning tools kept in FOH area. Pros: - Nice decoration and seating area. - Friendly staff. - High quality food. - Wide variety of food. - They have 50% discount on certain items for Shakespeare loyal Customers. Cons: - Fungus are around the A/C outlets (see photos). This is a serious hygiene issue in a restaurant. - Although staff are professional, but their number is very limited and service was quite slow. - Toilets were not clean. - Glass windows were very dirty (see photos). - The menu is designed in a way that makes it a difficult task to link the photo with the dish description.

💟This is a Romantic branch for Shakespeare and Co.🌷 It is opposite to the lake fountain which is nice at night.⛲ This branch has an elevator and outside seating area. The food is delicious. The food is delicious. You can order main course, coffee, tea and dessert. But to you need to enter to Al Majaz paid parkings to reach to it.
