Nature & Parks
Bondi Beach is a renowned Australian beach located just seven kilometers from Sydney's CBD in the Eastern Suburbs. It boasts a wide sandy shoreline, waterfront dining options, and a skate park. The crescent-shaped beach is adorned with golden white sand and surrounded by lush green headlands, creating a picturesque setting. Bondi Beach attracts visitors year-round and gained international fame through the popular TV show 'Bondi Rescue.'
The beach is beautiful and it's a Sydney icon. There's an area with lifeguards. It can be very busy so if you want to enjoy the peace of it, you might want to go early in the morning. There are walkways to have a more sightseeing perspective and you can start the coastal walk from there as well. Iceberg pools are just next to it. I definitely recommend it. Bunch of restaurants around.

Fantastic beach! In case you don’t want to bring your own chairs there are rentals available on the sand and off the sand in vans. You can grab food and drinks from the nearby shops as well!

Bondi Beach — one of Sydney’s most iconic spots! A beautiful stretch of golden sand with great vibes all around. Whether you’re into surfing, sunbathing, people-watching, or just relaxing, Bondi has something for everyone. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby, so you’ll never run out of options for food or a good coffee. The beach is clean, spacious, and perfect for a chill day — even when it’s busy, you can still find a spot to sit back and enjoy the sea breeze. If you’re up for a walk, the Bondi to Coogee coastal trail offers stunning ocean views and is a must-do. Perfect for families, solo travelers, or a fun day out with friends. Highly recommended!

Beautiful beach with white sands. The sounds of the waves are soothing. It’s nice to walk along the beach and there are plenty of shops & snack across from the beach!

Didn't go at the best time of year as it bucketed it down for a time while we were there. It was blowy and windy too and much smaller than I imagined it. Glad we went though it was beautiful.

This is another check-in point for people visiting Sydney. It is a lovely beach where people come to relax, sunbathe, and participate in both water sports and outdoor fitness. It is easier to travel. Take bus number 333 and you will arrive at your destination in only 30 minutes. There is a beach walkway about 10 kilometers long that you can walk to other beaches.
Prasittisak W — Google review
Perfect for surfers or couples who simply want to sit on the grass and enjoy the view. There’s a nice seafront promenade. The beach is clean and not crowded. Lovely surroundings with villas and green areas.

Bondi Beach was an incredible place to visit. What stood out the most was the outdoor swimming pool right by the ocean—waves crashing into the pool made it a unique and unforgettable sight. The surfers were amazing to watch, riding the waves with such skill and confidence. The area was full of surf shops, all brightly colored, adding to the vibrant and lively atmosphere. If you love the ocean, surfing, or just soaking in the beach vibes, Bondi Beach is definitely worth a visit!

Flea & Street Markets
Bondi Markets are a must-visit for anyone spending their Sunday in the eastern suburbs. Located on the grounds of Bondi Beach Primary School, these open-air markets offer a diverse range of products including clothing, jewelry, music, crafts, and furniture. Visitors can expect to find custom surfboards, locally-made skincare products, retro homeware, vintage couture, and organic breakfast bowls.
Three words for this one: variety, affordable, and ESSENTIAL! I had THE best time at this market. I was blown away by how many food options could be at one little market: Columbian, French, Spanish, Indian, Vietnamese, and then not to mention the classic market coffee and pastries. I didn't have enough hands to carry everything I wanted. I also got some beautiful jewelry here and some felt finger puppets for my nephew back home. They had art options too. If you're going to Bondi, you have to check out this market. I was even there on a rainy day, I can't imagine how much better it would be on a sunny day!

Love the Bondi Market! The food was delicious, the jewellery was amazing. I would totally recommend to anyone who is visiting bondi! (Especially the Sundays Market)

A vibrant, well-organised market with a great mix of fashion, art, food, and handmade goods. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, and the location near Bondi Beach makes it a perfect weekend destination. A must-visit for locals and tourists alike.

Located on Campbell Parade, (in grounds of the primary school), Bondi Beach, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. Definitely worth a visit, although I did think there would be more variety. There seemed to a lot of stores concentrating on jewellery. There was other things on offer though, overall, there was a pretty good selection of items to look at and the food on offer was very good also. I am glad I went as I had been wanting to go for quite some time. Dogs 🐶 are not allowed in the school where the markets are held so there’s a spot at the entrance where you can leave your dog. Water is provided i believe. The markets are just across from the beach and are pretty easy to get to by public transportation. I had a lovely time. Thumbs Up! 👍👍👍

First visit to the Bondi Markets. A beautiful day but it also meant parking was a nightmare. There were many stalls, esp. those selling jewelleries. The flower stall was fabulous and prices reasonable. Food stalls were ok. Vibes of the area was good.

I went to the market at Sunday. They had a lot of variety of products, from jewellery, sunglasses, food, second hand shop, etc. I bought kangaroo jerky here in one of the stall 🤣 Nice market!
Anita D — Google review
Operates Saturday and Sunday in Bondi school. Saturday is more food oriented with both fast food and fresh produce and flowers. Sunday has stalls with food but is more souvenirs. Not trashy like other markets can be. A really enjoyable experience, only operates until 1pm, so go early.

Swim club
Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club, established in 1929, is a historic winter swimming club located at the southern end of Australia's famous Bondi Beach. The facility features an Olympic-sized pool and a shallow pool for children. It is home to several amateur swimming clubs, including the renowned Bondi Icebergs. Full membership to this exclusive club requires regular Sunday swims from May to September for five years. Additionally, visitors can explore a small museum on site.
Best place in Sydney if you want to swim/use the gym/ morning espresso. Loved the views this place offers with my morning espresso. We were staying at the Ravesis Hotel so this place is just a 5 min walk and our favourite place to hangout all day to swim and chill by the famous icebergs pool.

Beautiful restaurant! The location over Bondi Beach and the ocean is incomparable. We got the grilled pink snapper and the fish & chips (bream) and both were delicious. The Balter Hazy PA is a great local beer. Staff were welcoming and attentive, and one of the chefs was happy to talk about their fish. Very happy we found this one!

Had a great private dinner here for an event. Food was great. Service was excellent. Only thing letting it down is that it just feels a bit cramped. Packed in. Even the toilets are small.

I was surprised how many tourists don’t realise that the pool is open to the general public and at $10 is one of the best value activities to do. The pool has long opening hours and offers spectacular views of Bondi Beach. The water is not heated and saltwater, with waves splashing against the pool adding to the character of the places. The sauna is included in the entry price but lockers are an additional $5. Staff were friendly. A must-do when visiting Bondi.

Lovely venue - absolutely iconic. There for a function. Staff were lovely and so helpful and the food and beverage offerings were amazing. Parking is sketchy around here... Get a bus or an Uber - much better.

Fantastic views, iconic pool, had a great day. Change rooms are nice, maybe a little small for the amount of people. Good food at the cafe and people don't stay long so got a table fairly quickly. We also saw Jason Donovan going for a dip 🤣♥️! What could be better: I think the black floored area could be changed as it's impossible to sit on- way to hot!

The water is from the sea very cold but in this temperature, it felt nice to get cool. We really enjoyed it. If we come back to bondi beach we will go again.

Icebergs Dining Room and Bar is a trendy Italian restaurant located in a prime spot overlooking Bondi Beach. It's a favorite among celebrities and fashion-forward individuals who enjoy the stunning view of the beach while indulging in exquisite Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant offers a sophisticated menu featuring fresh seafood, artisanal produce, and classic Italian fare.
A beautiful dinner location. The dishes we ordered were all very tasty, my highlight was the cuttlefish starter. Service here was also very friendly when required but they also give you plenty of space to enjoy your meal in private. It is a restaurant that is definitely worth visiting, at least once.

The place as a venue is amazing. Service was great. Food was average. Set menu for $130 , 2 courses . I had the reef fish . Pretty average for what must be $80 of the $130 approximately for the main . Wines we’re priced at 4 times what they paid for them which is also at the top of pricing .

A truly iconic Sydney dining experience Dining at Icebergs was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, attentive service and seated at a table with panoramic views of Bondi Beach and the crashing waves below. The setting alone is worth a visit—elegant, modern, and infused with that effortlessly chic coastal vibe that defines Sydney. The menu was refined and seasonal, with a strong focus on high-quality produce and beautifully prepared seafood. Every dish felt thoughtfully composed, with standout flavours and artistic presentation. The oysters were some of the freshest we’ve had, and the pasta with spanner crab was a perfect balance of richness and brightness. Their wine list was extensive, featuring a fantastic range of Australian and international selections, and the sommelier’s pairing recommendations elevated the meal even further. The atmosphere struck a rare balance—it was upscale without being stuffy, sophisticated but still relaxed. The staff were professional yet personable, striking that ideal tone of hospitality that makes you feel both looked after and comfortable. We stayed long after dessert, sipping cocktails and watching the evening light fade over Bondi. It’s one of those experiences that leaves a lasting impression—not just a meal, but a moment. I’d recommend Icebergs to anyone looking for a special night out in Sydney, whether you’re a visitor or a local celebrating something memorable.

Had lunch at Icebergs Bondi and while the views were amazing, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. Service was very good and the staff handled things well, especially when we mentioned the steak was overcooked - they took it off the bill without fuss, which we appreciated. The wine selection was solid, but overall the food was underwhelming and a bit bland, especially for the price.

The Sydney Opera House is an iconic arts center located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, offering breathtaking views of the harbor, bridge, and city skyline. With over 1,600 performances annually, it hosts a diverse range of events including opera, theatre, music, dance, and comedy shows. This architectural marvel is a must-see attraction that draws millions of visitors each year. Its unique design and cultural significance make it a standout feature of the picturesque Sydney Harbour.
Beautiful view from the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Opera House all in one. Convenient parking with many restaurants to sit relax and enjoy a drink. Ice Cream shops all around and a winner on a hot day. Remember your sunblock. Many planned events for entertainment from big to small... just check the website.

This iconic building is as beautiful as you can see it in pictures and videos. The beauty of the place can easily be enjoyed from very close - you can go around the Opera. Which I totally recommend because there are so many tourists and people on once side of the building and almost no one on the other. We also did a walking tour inside the Opera House. It’s pricey but worth it - you will get inside the halls and hear stories about the history of the place. The guides are great and also entertaining.

The Sydney Opera House is an iconic symbol of Australia, renowned for its sail-like design and stunning presence from every angle—land, sea, or air. During festivals, its exterior transforms with vibrant lights and projections, making it a highlight of Sydney’s skyline. As a premier performing arts venue, it also offers a rich cultural experience. Located by the harbor, it’s perfect for walking, photography, and sightseeing. Viewing it from a boat offers an especially impressive perspective of this architectural masterpiece.

Beautiful, wonderful, very pretty, a wonderful experience. Especially if you're a fan of classical orchestral music. The building's acoustics are very good, you can hear clearly and loudly even from the seats at the back. All seats have a very good view of the stage, and the sound can be heard perfectly from anywhere. Obviously, it was designed for that purpose. The main orchestra hall, especially where the church organ is located, is a must. Prices are not expensive to assist to a concert. We paid around 30 USD for the Braham's Violin Concert. Interesting info: look at the solista violinist Ehnes, He owned a Stradivarius named 'Marsick' that costs around 8 million USD. ;-) The view is incredible, a beautiful view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Beautiful. Enjoy these photos and videos.

This building is often shown in stunning pictures, with its harbor view and famous New Year's Eve celebrations. But up close, it’s not as impressive. The white roofs you see in photos actually look more like a dull yellow, which takes away from its beauty. I’m glad I’ve seen it, but it didn’t leave much of an impression. Time to explore more exciting places!

Who wouldn't go and see the famous Sydney Opera House when they're visiting Sydney as a tourist? The day was glorious and we worked up a bit of a sweat walking around, but there were drinking stations. If that's not enough to cool you down, go visit the small souvenir shop inside - it's air-conditioned.

Sydney Opera House on Australia Day – A Night of Lights, Music & Pure Magic If there’s one place to be on Australia Day, it’s the Sydney Opera House — and trust me, it’s next level. As the sun goes down, the whole harbour transforms into a stage, and the Opera House becomes the star of the show. The lighting and projections on the sails are absolutely breathtaking. They’re not just pretty lights — they tell stories. Stories of country, culture, unity, and celebration. The colors shift and dance with the music, and the way it reflects off the water? Pure magic. Then there’s the live performances — a mix of traditional and contemporary acts that bring the energy way up. You’ll hear everything from First Nations music and dance to big, bold Aussie anthems that have the whole crowd singing along. The sound system is amazing too — it fills the whole space without drowning out the cheers, claps, and laughter. And just when you think it can’t get better… the fireworks begin. With the Opera House on one side and the Harbour Bridge on the other, you’re right in the middle of the action. It’s exciting, emotional, and honestly, a little overwhelming (in the best way). Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a proud local, watching the Opera House light up on Australia Day is an experience that gives you chills — unforgettable, unmissable, and truly iconic.
Double V — Google review
The Sydney Opera House is an absolute icon—not just of Sydney, but of modern architecture worldwide. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong Sydneysider, the moment you catch a glimpse of its sweeping white sails against the harbour, it’s nothing short of breathtaking. From the outside, the Opera House is stunning. Its location on Bennelong Point offers panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, the Harbour Bridge, and Circular Quay. I highly recommend walking around the perimeter—especially during sunset—to soak in the beauty from every angle. Inside, the experience is just as impressive. The concert halls and theatres are world-class, with acoustics that elevate every performance. Whether you’re catching a symphony, a ballet, a theatre production, or a contemporary music gig, the atmosphere is electric. The guided tours are very informative, offering insight into the building’s complex construction and its fascinating history. The surrounding precinct has been thoughtfully designed. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax, enjoy a meal, or grab a drink. The Opera Bar is one of the best places in the city for a casual drink with a view—great food, a lively vibe, and an unbeatable backdrop. Accessibility is also well-considered, with ramps, elevators, and guided assistance available for those who need it. Staff are always helpful and professional, contributing to a seamless experience. In short, the Sydney Opera House isn’t just a tourist attraction—it’s a cultural treasure that lives up to its reputation in every way. A must-visit when in Sydney!

North Bondi Fish is a renowned seafood restaurant located at the top corner of Bondi Beach. The open space with lanterns and beachfront views creates a fancy yet relaxed atmosphere. Co-owned by Matt Moran, this eatery offers some of the best seafood dishes, including beer battered flathead, rock oysters, soft shell crab sliders, and whole baby Hiramasa kingfish.
Great menu recommendations and execution of the food. It looked and tasted great! Portion sizes were manageable and mains really quality good and did justice for the wait. Downside was to expect a huge crowd on the weekend lunch hours resulting in delays on food service

Came for their famous beer battered fish tacos, but today was the first day of a new menu with a GF fish taco. I ordered it with no jalapeño and it came with it, so they had to re-maje it. Also, no non-alcoholic drinks (like juices & sodas) in their menu, so I ordered a passionfruit mocktail. It came in a tiny martini glass and definitely not worth the $14 it cost.

In addition to exquisite, delicious food, the staff service is really very good, because of the sea breeze Champagne cup of drinks were flying up the menu blew over, the waiter immediately said sorry for that help me collect and lift the clean table; did not think that 5 minutes later the clerk re-up a new drink to me!

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. Views were spectacular as the restaurant is right on the beach. It’s inside the RSL building so can be a bit confusing but it’s on the street level and all seating are indoors. Food was lovely - lots of fish dishes as expected from the name of the restaurant. The tuna crudo and fish pie were excellent but the grilled fish of the day was a bit dry and bland. Desserts were both favourites. Service pretty slow giving how many staff were walking around but they appeared to have set sections even though one of them was cleaning up an empty table whilst we waited almost 10mins to give our orders.

Bondi Trattoria is a charming restaurant that offers Italian cuisine with a modern Australian twist. Situated in a warm and inviting space, it provides outdoor seating with stunning views of the beach. Under new ownership since 2017, the restaurant is now run by experienced individuals who have brought their expertise from around the world to create an extensive and mouth-watering Italian menu.
We went for lunch to this place. The restaurant location is extremely convenient if you are visiting Bondi beach. We were seated promptly. Server was quick and we did not notice any delay during our lunch. Food was flavorful. Loved their Turkish garlic bread. Other food including gnocchi dishes were very good. Many vegetarians options if you have any restrictions. Staff was friendly. The prices were a little high but considering location it was expected. Flavorful food along with friendly and quick service makes up for steep price. My kids enjoyed eating here and it was worth it. We will come again here when we come back to this area.

The squid ink angel hair was one of the best squid ink pastas I’ve ever had, so hopefully it’ll come back to the special menu again. I went back to have it last month, but they didn’t have it anymore but they said it’ll come back again. Their tiramisu was also great! Everything was perfect including their service until we said ‘not today’ when they asked if we’d add tips on the credit card machine during the payment process. This middle aged male waiter just completed the payment process bluntly as soon as we said ‘not today’ and left the table without even saying ‘thank you’ or ‘see ya’. My friend and I are such foodies and we were so happy to spontaneously discover this restaurant, but the impression went down the hill dramatically at the very end, which was disappointing, but we gave another chance and that waiter wasn’t there that day, so we had better dining experience this month.

Very pricey for what it is. But I guess the excuse is, it’s along Bondi beach. Only marked down for the prices. In saying that, the gnocchi was delicious and perfectly made with a balanced tomato sauce. Option of sitting outside looking over to Bondi beach and the ocean. (You are right next to the road). Plenty of indoor seating. Friendly staff.

Bondi Tratt is my wife's favourite Sydney restaurant and we've been coming here for years - the food, the views, the service...all great. I just needed to say that this recent Valentine's day lunch was no exception EXCEPT, for the first time I ordered their version of fish and chips. Delishimo 😋👍🏻🥳! I would say, probably the best fish and chips I've had. Simple but stylish and high quality fish, chips, tartare etc. If you haven't been to Bondi Trattoria, give it a try. You won't be disappointed!!

A great Italian restaurant located near Bondi Beach. We arrived during their lunch hours, and despite our group of five, the waiter accommodated us at an outdoor table. Late review - went last summer. Large Italian restaurant - Bondi edition. Hits - bread, pastas, ricotta, riot spritzer, tomatoes (surprisingly sweet). Meh - burrata, octopus (sauce was great though). Outdoor seating recommended. Service was friendly if a little infrequent. Pricy for what it was.

Really great service, lovely outdoor area and some really high quality ingredients used. The tomatoes have to be some of the best I've ever had, and I'll be thinking about them regularly

Macelleria Bondi, located in the heart of Bondi Beach, offers a unique dining experience that combines a butcher shop and restaurant. The bustling eatery is known for its premium cuts of steak, house-made sausages, and delicious burgers. With a BYO policy that makes it popular with locals, diners can pick out their preferred cut of meat and pair it with a bottle of red wine or opt for one of the tasty burgers.
Came in about 40min before closing, it was quite busy but we still got our food + finished it all within 30min! 1. The rump steak was really tender!! If you prefer a bit more flavour on your steak just salt and pepper it a bit more yourselves using the shakers on the table 2. Lamb skewers were okay 3. Prawn topper was quite cheesy 4. Side salad (parmesan walnut pear) was pretty good value ~$15 Overall good value, good service, good came quickly. I'm excited to try the Merrylands location next.

We had the Fungo Burger! Overall well balanced burger with all ingredients, however, the patty was tasteless/bland, chef probs forgot salt n pepper. On the other side, Crunchy chips were not crunchy at all! Will come back to try other food :)

We all had burgers and the taste was good, feel fresh, and delicious. The service was not bad but the lady who got our order was not in the mood I think.

The butcher that can cook for you...please stop cooking! Overpriced food, very low quality. We somehow expected overpriced food at Bondi Beach, but not that! The Chicken Parma, dry, burnt on the edges, no ham, small, 23 chips (yes you could count them), salad without any dressing. The burger (Mafioso)...small size, taste avarage, price top range.

Probably one of the worst steaks I have had the burden of eating (can’t waste protein!). I had the Rib Eye Cutlet. My friend had the scotch filler and shared the same disappointment. The meat was cooked to the correct temperature and the potato wedges were good, but those are the only positives I can think of. It was bland and the lovely cut was done no justice. It was as if the steak was slapped straight onto a grill with no seasoning or anything done to it. The woman at the counter was rather aggressive at any questions (reasonable ones, i.e. “Does this come with sides?”) and slammed the water on the table when providing it. Overall, an overpriced (expected from Bondi) experience that made me question if my taste buds stopped working. Many pub steaks would have done a better job, and would have come with a side or two :)

Sweet potato chips were served cold. Angus Steak arrived at table without mushroom sauce that was ordered originally and had to wait for almost 15 minutes after steak was served for the mushroom sauce. Steak was cold then. Not worth the price tag. Wouldn’t go back.

I love the food there as it is fresh and delicious! The staff there is so nice, I realized I lost I lost my partner’s sunglasses there after a few days later and I called them. They still kept it for me, thank you!

Very good service and the meat is excellent 10/10, if you are near Bondi Beach it is a very good place to have lunch
