Farmers Markets
The St. Albert Farmers' Market is a vibrant community event that takes place every Saturday from June to October. It offers a wide range of products from over 250 vendors, including locally grown produce, homemade goods, and artisan crafts. In addition to the typical market offerings, visitors can enjoy special event days with fun activities for the whole family such as face painting, live music, and food trucks.
I love the vibe of farmers’ market, lots of food trucks with many options for vegetarians , fresh vegetables and fruits are my favorite, freshly prepared bakery items and kimchis, kambuchas , raw and pasteurized honey I buy from here. Woodwork , craftwork, paintings and many more things. It opens only on Saturdays 10am to 3 pm. We have parked bit away from the market but it wasn’t difficult we got parking spot easily beside road.

Hands down best farmers market in Alberta. You got to have a lemonade, you got to have some smoothie bowls, can’t forget those delicious green onions cakes, POPCORN and oooo sourdough bread. It’s all so good. The vendors are amazing, go check it out! You won’t regret it!!!! Shoutout to Sunshine Bowls - they make the best smoothie bowls (: you got to try it!!! Linda Lega makes the best garlic dip!!!! YOU GOT TO TRY THE BEST GARLIC 🧄 DIP EVER!!!!! Highly recommend!!!

There is no better outdoor market in Canada. This is a place where you tolerate the crowds to enjoy the plethora of food and drink available. It’s sprawling and hosts a wide diversity of vendors. So lucky to have this in the Edmonton area!

little bit of everything at this market fresh bread , veggies, meats , food trucks entertainment and stunning flowers you name it .

Excellent place to visit during the summer hours when it's a lovely sunny day. So nice to wander and see what wares the vendors are selling. I love stocking up on my fruits and vegetables and meeting all kinds of lovely people. 100% a must try during the summer. Helps support local!

Great spot to take your family! Open 10am until 3pm, the market is only open from June until October. We like to go and park early and walk around 10-15 minutes early. The vendors can’t take your money until 10:00 sharp but it’s less busy and much cooler at this time. Closer to 3pm everybody is packing up whatever goods they have left. Also recommend the kids activity booth near the lions club. It’s off on the grass and they change the activity each week. Upon completion the children get a token to trade for food/goods at participating booths (usually half a dozen will take the token and give you pears/grapes/apples or whatever they’ve chosen as the token trade for that day).

The biggest farmers market in alberta. Literally lots of vendors on the street near the alberta place. It is a little hard to find parking spots to get there. Fresh vegetables and fruits as well as home made sausages, artifacts were there. You will see also street performers in the middle of the area

The St. Albert Grain Elevator Museum and the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator Museum are two examples of grain elevator museums in Alberta that showcase the province's rich agricultural history. These historic wooden structures, which were once prominent features of Alberta's landscape, offer valuable insights into the growth of vibrant communities around the grain elevator industry. The St.
Local landmark to which I and my family have a personal connection. I'd say it's incredible but some people might think I am biased. Oh . . . what the hay, it is incredible.

It was a really good visit with kids. Great, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. There's lots to see around, too. we didn't get to finish up. I recommend having at least 1 hour on hand or more. Especially with little ones.
Khalida K — Google review
I felt like a kid again! Have you any idea how hard it is to find a working grain elevator around here? I have lived in Alberta most of my life and had never toured this historical site in St. Albert. The maintenance manager showed me around even though they were not officially opened yet. They open to public THIS weekend. Do not miss getting a view of the hopper and seeing how the elevator system works these were built at turn of the century in the 1900s - bring the whole family. This part of Alberta Heritage is a Must-see! This is the equivalent of seeing the Lighthouse keepers quarters on the Great Lakes for the Prairies!! Don't miss the old rail load point outside the Grain Elevator doors. I can just imagine the noise and sound of the train pulling up out back. These Grain Elevators were once how we fed the nation and beyond! Look how far we have come...

Pretty historic, but needs more to do. Staff were abrupt and unfriendly. Went here for my sister's wedding pictures and didn't feel welcome.

Really well done and highly recommended if you are a local or visiting. We enjoyed a tour of the buildings and elevator and were really impressed with the site and it's upkeep. The guide did an incredible job sharing loads of history and context in an entertaining for kids and informative for adults manner. Kudos to the young people working there and everyone that has passionately preserved a bit of history for us to enjoy today.

The guides are very friendly, and knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely like to share the history of this place with visitors. The objects and machinery are super cool, interesting, and very well preserved and taken care of. We loved it there. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

I went for free for a wedding. It was great that I could borrow their umbrellas from the train station. The sun was really beating down on us and there wasn't any shelter. The facilities and properties were nice, lots of interesting stuff. The grass wasn't mowed recently, so we had to bring our own lawn mower and give it and the dandelions a good cut. There wasn't signage for the washroom but I asked a nice lady and she told me to go in the basement of the train station, a bit of a walk.

I love this little Gem of St.Albert. Several times a year they change their featured story. It is always educational and thought provoking. This is for all ages, young and old. Check it out and learn some valuable history. Time spent here ranges from 30mins- to as long as you want. It is a small, quiet treasure, full of life. It is free but please consider making a donation, any amount. It is run by incredible volunteers with so much knowledge to share. Always check their open times. Make a day of it, walk along the river, explore the museum, relax in the tropical sitting area, see a show at the Arden or Tak an adventure through the books of the library. All in the same location.

Small museum with lots of information about the area. Free admission though they take donations by the door. Some different exhibits where you can smell some different dried plants and feel different furs of wolves, otter, beaver, polar bear etc.

As an explorer, here's my spin... the collection on display was very diverse, it jumps from aboriginal to early music instruments then to old time period clothing. Would on of liked a more cohesive collection. Still worth a browse and no admission charges.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature at St. Albert Botanic Park, a charming five-acre botanical garden located in St. Albert. This picturesque park showcases an array of meticulously cultivated trees, shrubs, perennials, and vegetables across themed gardens such as flowering trees, evergreens, xeriscape, shade, and cottage-style perennials.
A beautiful garden in a small city. Clean and well maintained. A nice place to spend an hour or even the whole afternoon. I visited during the week and it was pretty empty which gave me a lot of time to take photos. Definitely a must visit when in St Albert.

Tranquil setting with seasonal flowers in full bloom and pathways seeped with tributes and memories of loved ones. These gardens are maintained 100% by volunteers who take pride in showcasing the best.

This garden is so well maintained and beautiful. Staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Just wish there was a café or some type of food options besides ice cream, so plan accordingly to eat before or after elsewhere.
Cal D — Google review
Although small, this botanical garden is fantastic. It's well-maintained and laid out in a charming way with bowers and fountains and benches for sitting. I especially appreciate that these are all plants that the average person can actually grow in Alberta/Edmonton. You don't have to be a botanist to recreate these flower beds. We had a lot of fun taking pictures and making a list of plants we'd like to have at our own house!
Cheyanne W — Google review
The gardens, though small carry a distinct level of beauty and romance. They are an incredibly romantic spot for a quite picnic with their many tucked away picnic tables. The charm of their tranquil seclusion is especially prevalent in the evenings right before closing or in the early morning mist. What a gem to be treasured by all. May we remember each bulb is hand planted by many volunteers each year and thank them for such a lovely addition to the city.

A delightful little gem in St. Albert! The variety of plants they have and care they put into maintaining the garden is surprising for a place that does not charge admission. A lot of the plants are carefully labeled, which is great if you want to find a plant to add to your garden. My favourite is the English Garden, but all areas are beautiful. We visited on the last weekend in May. A few peonies started opening up, but the main attraction for me were all the blooming lilacs! The smell was heavenly! As the summer progresses, there will be something new to admire in this garden and I will come back for more visits.
Katherina H — Google review
Beautiful atmosphere. Could be visited at different times in flowering season to get the best of all the blooms. Would love to go when the lilac section is in bloom. The rose garden smelled luscious! It was a hot day with a surprising amount of mosquitoes. Suggested that they sell mosquito repellent at the gift shop, which was full of beautiful items, though a bit pricey for me.

They got the big glasshouse with lots of plants, a very nice cafe with awesome drinks, and a nice restaurant too! There's a shop selling flavoured olive oil and vinegar. There's also bakery with very good cookies and bread. Can definitely spend hours here! Recommend to come here for a relaxing afternoon.

Never experienced racism until I came to the Enjoy Center today. Not only was the staff disrespectful, they also decided to look down upon my wife. The cafe staff choose to serve several people before me and didn’t get my order right even though i had to remind them after waiting for 30mins. The restaurant also was disrespectful when we were asking questions about orders. I would have spoken to the manager but she also had an aggressive attitude towards us. I hope the owners will have a deeper conversation with staff about hospitality and manners.

Beautiful place for a wedding venue but don't forget your fan! Friends of ours got married this past weekend here, and it was a gorgeous setting. What you don't see is the 30-degree heat with very little air flow. The venue provided big fans, but they didn't help much as it was such a big space, so dress lightly in the summer months!
Natalie A — Google review
PLEASE put up signs explaining where to park for the Glasshouse Kitchen + Bar. Or at least keep a couple doors open so people can walk through the building to where they parked. We had to walk all the way around the building in -25 to get back to our car because we couldnt find the right door. For those who have never been here and want to go to the restaurant, park in the lot facing the apartment complex!

Very cute place to dine! We went on a casual date night, it was a great experience. Great Food! I would definitely say the salmon was on the saltier side. However both the fish and chicken dishes were juicy and tender. Definitely on the pricier side and you will have to wait for a bit as the meals took a while to come out.

Always a phenomenal dining experience at Riverbank Bistro. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak, micro green salad was so fresh and the garlic truffle parmesan fries were so crispy and delicious. Highly recommend dining here
Ann B — Google review
Okay, the food here is soo good but it also took over an hour from ordering to when it came to the table. I will say, once we got it, it is totally worth the wait. The crispy pork belly was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. Their hollandaise is balanced and creamy. I asked for my potatoes on the side so they didn’t get soggy and it was so delicious!

Went there for a nice dinner, the location is beautiful and the interior is gorgeous, its a really nice building. I had the caesar salad which was really good. I also order the salmon and the chocolate cake (both very good). The servers were friendly and professional and it was a very nice meal.
Avery A — Google review
Service was great. I gave the food 4 stars because the duck breast portion was pretty small for $38. Other than that, the food was delicious. We shared the yorkshire pudding and I had the riverbank carbonara, key lime pie for dessert - All excellent choices! We chose the place for our anniversary dinner because we admired the building everytime we drove by. It's beautiful! However, I was distracted by another patron who was sitting a few tables way, she was talking extremely loud and dropping curse words throughout the course of our dinner. I could even hear her voice when I was in the washroom. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Other than that, we'd definitely go back and highly recommend.

I brought my wife to Tryst for her birthday, and what an amazing meal! The menu selections were fantastic and the portions were a perfect size to share. Our server was great, and we left comfortably filled. Oh, and the Blackberry basil Old fashioned.. three thumbs up
Nathan S — Google review
I hate giving low ratings to local businesses but the food here is very sub-par with service being average at best. The short-rib ravioli was quite bland and the meat inside was very dry. The KFC had a sour taste and was greasy as well. I liked the garlic butter fries and the bread with butter though. I’m not sure if I came on an off day since Tryst clearly has very good reviews. The dishes sound creative but the execution unfortunately missed the target completely.
Ivy H — Google review
Tryst is such a great restaurant in St. Albert!! Every dish had such great detail towards all the dishes they make! I loved the fries and KFC was so delicious! Flavourful, tender and crispy! But the highlight for me was the brussel sprouts! So welcoming, packing lots of flavours !!
Herbert C — Google review
Food was fantastic. Lovely idea for dates or to catch up. Little share items/tapas. We had a great time. Recommend the KFC and the Gnocchi! Bussels were delicious, perfectly cooked with a tinge of bacon in every bite. The old fashion and cranberry orange martini were fantastic and delicious. The ginger pear is more suited for sweet tastes, just the right amount of sour mixed in. The New york sour appears very sophisticated with a very deep, mellow taste - great to telieve an edge after business hours. Cheers to the bar tender! Erika was sociable and fantastic. She went beyond her job of a waitress. She talked to us like friends who haven't met for a while. She took great care of us.

Tryst Wine and Small Plates is a quaint restaurant in the heart of St. Albert by the Arden. The service on this night was wonderful. Our server was extremely positive and helpful. We enjoyed our cocktails immensely. The space is great. It's difficult to manage the temperature in the winter when the doors opens however as it's one singular space. You can get a cool breeze now and again. Now to the food. There is so much potential here. I can see where Tryst is trying to go and what they're doing. But the food tries too hard. I think the establishment would benefit from simplifying some of their dishes. There are often some competing flavors in the dishes and there seems to be too much happening in some cases. I still gave it a four stars for food but in this case I feel less is more. This is a super dining experience in St. Albert before a show at the Arden. We will definitely be coming back again. 4 x 🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️
Wes I — Google review
Food started off really strong. I highly recommend the sourdough bread and butter, as well as the brussel sprouts which were amazing. I wish I had ordered two bowls. The garlic butter fries were good on their own, but the dip they came with did not fit the description of the fries. Wish overall this dish was more garlicky. The gnocchi was just alright. Flavor wasn't quite there and it needed more sauce with it. The fried butter chicken was good, not exactly what I was expecting but good. Forgot to take a good photo before we dived in. The rhubarb crumbled cocktail was more sweet and on the butterscotch side than rhubarby. I wanted there to be some tartness but didn't get anything. Overall the atmosphere was great, service was super fast and on it, and food came out at a good pace. If some tweaks and improvements to the food are made, this place can be a 10/10.
Brittany — Google review
The food was really good! I definitely recommend this place. The only thing was for spending 500+. It would have been nice if the waitress had checked on us just a bit more. There is no real dress code here.
Melissa M — Google review
I would say my first dining experience at Tryst was fairly good. We were a table of three and ordered seven plates to share (one of which I forgot to take a photo of!) We were full at the end of meal and even had a couple pieces of fried butter chicken to take home. I would give four stars for the food. My favorites were the house-made sourdough bread with whipped brown butter and the ling cod. The one thing that struck me as odd was that I wouldn't call Tryst a "casual" restaurant, and yet the hostess and waitresses were dressed very casually. For example, the hostess wore a pair of high-waisted pink pants with a cropped t-shirt and a Lululemon crossbody bag while our server wore a white tank top with thick straps and a white mini skirt. There is nothing wrong with dressing comfortably; I just didn't think it went with the vibe of the restaurant. The service was inconsistent. The first few dishes came out quickly and then the last two dishes appeared to have been forgotten. A server (not the one we had the entire night) asked if we were still waiting for more dishes. When we said there were still two remaining, she followed up with the kitchen. Our waitress was still around, but did not serve us for the remainder of the evening. There wasn't any communication about the servers switching, so it left us kind of confused.

La Crema is a high quality cafe that offers great coffee and delicious food. The staff are friendly and polite, and the washroom facilities are always clean. It's currently not possible to dine in, but that will change in the near future. The atmosphere of La Crema is great, with a warm and cozy feel.
This place is the heart and soul of downtown St. Albert. Such a lovely place to sit and enjoy their PHENOMENAL coffee as well as amazing assortments of snacks. We would recommend the caramel macchiato or the caramel latte with oat milk, both were absolutely wonderful. The ham croissant was also amazing. Every song they played slapped so hard and the decor is so cozy and homely. Their little treat selection looked so sublime, we were too full after our sandwiches but can’t wait to come back to try them! Would recommend!

Ordered a cappuccino and a vanilla pumpkin spiced latte. The cashier was very nice and friendly, but the overall service wasn't good, especially for the price. It wasn't busy at all, but we waited over 20 minutes for our order that came out in to go cups instead of mugs and we really didn't feel like they cared at all because they just said; "my co-worker messed up and put them in to go cups, but the coffees will be ready in a couple minutes" the pumpkin spiced latte was terrible compared to the previous time I was there, and the cappuccino was way over-steamed/too hot. 2 stars because the cashier was kind and the atmosphere was great aside from needing cleaning. I would not recommend this shop, I'd recommend going to whisk and get a way better coffee with better service and a cleaner place.
Lowell S — Google review
Very cute and quiet place for a coffee. The decor is genuine and locally made, which gives it an inviting old-time feeling. The mugs are a nice touch. The neighbourhood is welcoming and the perfect place for a stroll if you were to take your coffee to go. I ordered the breakfast wrap which was mediocre, nothing to write home about. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t give it a full 5 starts. Next time I’d like to try the breakfast bagel which seems to be the most popular. The coffee itself tasted great. Bold and well made. Prices are comparable to any other cafe. An extra shot of espresso $1, which is reasonable. I would definitely order again if I’m in the area.

So bad. Ack I am so sorry but we came here because of the reviews. I don't know if people who come here don't know what real coffee tastes like or what. Wow. The worst coffee I have had in decades. So disappointed. Ditto for my husband and my son didn't even finish his smoothie after he was so excited to get one. I was so disappointed for him. And us! I was so looking forward to a good coffee. Don't go. Servers were super attentive though!

I ordered a Large Latte on April 12/25. Many patrons ordering food and beverages. A good problem to have. The problem is staffing!!! There is only 2 people working. 1 person is overwhelmed making smoothies and breakfast food items. The other person is basically working the till! Meanwhile there is no one actually making the coffee beverages...the orders are backing up! This business needs to either consider having 3 workers on busy days such as Saturdays or having the till person taking a break from the till in intervals to actually make the lattes! They can't just keep taking people's money at the till and expecting the patron to wait until there is a small windows of time to actually make the lattes! I was waiting 20nmimutes for a coffee when I asked for my money back and sadly I noticed that my order slip was still 4 orders from being completed! More priority needs to be placed on the customer experience! Back to Starbucks and Second Cup for me!

Came here for my birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. Everything from the appetizers to the mocktail, to the entrees and dessert were excellent. The service was incredible. The only downside was that it was very loud. We came for a romantic date night and almost had to yell at each other to be heard. There was a large party of women celebrating a birthday though and was of no fault of the establishment. Excellent food, excellent service.

Came here for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and very friendly host. We made a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. I came with my girlfriend and ordered the risotto and mussels to start with and they were delicious. Risotto was rich and not starchy whatsoever, the beef short rib was very tender and was a great temperature when it arrived to our table. It stayed hot while we ate between the mussels and the risotto. The mussels were also just as good, but I would prefer 3-4 pieces of bread to soak up the sauce the mussels were in. The fries that came along with the mussels were also solid. They weren’t greasy nor starchy and very enjoyable to snack on as we waited for our mains. I had ordered the aged 10oz picanha and she ordered the balsamic chicken and we received both around the 40 minute mark. Presentation was nice, steak was very tender and a perfectly cooked rare. The crispy artichokes weren’t my thing but my girlfriend loved them although everything else on the plate was delightful. The potato purée was as smooth as I had expected and the flavor was even better than I had anticipated. The balsamic chicken was cooked to a perfect temperature and was very juicy. The skin was a great crisp and even with the balsamic glaze it did not become soggy whatsoever even til the end of the meal. The crispy brussel sprouts were a favorite and their was a blanket all across the plate which we loved. The atmosphere was very pleasing and the lighting certainly made the food more appealing. It was very loud inside the restaurant and found that we had to really raise our voices to hear each other and ended up sitting closer to one another. Overall, it was an amazing dinner and a great experience. I will definitely be coming back soon!

XIX Nineteen is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance sets the stage for an exceptional culinary experience. The steak was simply phenomenal. Perfectly cooked to your liking, each bite melts in your mouth with rich, savory flavors that are expertly balanced. The quality of the meat is evident, and the attention to detail in its preparation takes it to the next level. And then there’s the wagyu gnocchi—a true showstopper for me. The delicate, pillowy gnocchi paired with the decadently rich wagyu creates a sensational harmony of textures and tastes. It’s a dish that leaves a lasting impression and is worth returning for. The service was impeccable, and the staff’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the menu brings all the expectations I am thinking and also the experience. XIX Nineteen is a must-visit for food lovers seeking refined yet approachable dining. Highly recommend! Honestly me and my husband can’t move on from the steak😭❤️

Tried the Beef short rib risotto (4/5) and creme brulee (5/5), they were so yummy, the service was good but a bit slow, overall, enjoyed the meal!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at XIX in St. Albert, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was awesome—our server was attentive without being intrusive! She had great knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings, and we felt well taken care of throughout the meal. Every dish we tried really highlighted the talent and teamwork of the entire kitchen staff. The goat cheese-crusted tenderloin and tuna twists were exceptionally good! We can’t wait to return and try more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience in St. Albert!

One of our favourite restaurants. The menu is extraordinary. My husband had the brazillian beef and I had the miso black cod. Both were done to perfection, included vegis and were served hot. I bit on the pricey side, but so worth it.

Prepare yourself for a flavorful addition to your Mother's Day brunch by visiting Cerdo Tacos + Tequila in St. Albert! This establishment offers a Mexican-inspired menu that is sure to spice up your taste buds, featuring dishes such as Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles. Don't forget to indulge in their renowned brunch cocktails like the Margarita Flight and Bloody Maria, which perfectly complement your meal.
I got nachos. I added chicken. The toppings were fresh (crisp jalapeño peppers), and there were no lonely chips missing toppings. When the server told me how big the plate was, I figured it wouldn't be enough, but the plate was piled high, and I was full before the halfway mark. I got a premium margarita with anejo tequila, so I paid the premium ($16). It was worth it. I would have had more, but the location near Costco parking is limited, so I couldn't leave the car. As for the atmosphere, maybe they have more decor coming. The pictures are too high and sparse, maybe so they don't get dirty. The TV was playing a streaming service, but no one attended to it, so it powered off. The chairs are a choice between plastic table height or backless metal bar stools. Not designed to relax. I'll definitely go again, but I liked the old location better.

First time at the restaurant, had the Queso Fundido as pictured and a couple Superior Margaritas. Was disappointed with the taco chips as they are just store bought , one would think they would be homemade in a restaurant like this. Queso sauce was very bland and flavourless, same with the salsa. Drinks were good but at $ 17 bucks a pop they should be. Also had Chick al pastor and the Carnitas tacos , both not pictured . They were actually pretty good. The young man serving , also made the drinks, his service was excellent .Over all at around $ 100 bucks for lunch, not somewhere I would go back anytime soon.

Its a taco restaurant but taco sauces have extra charges? Since when did a taco sauce have up charge?? Also only 1 SMALL sliced of lime per 3 Tacos 🤦‍♂️ And the food was bland. Staff were great tho.

I met a friend for supper at Cerdo and it was great! The menu didn’t seem like much to begin with. We had a couple of margaritas, split some fresh tortilla chips, 2 salsas and guacamole - they were delicious! I had 3 pork carnale tacos, which were small, and I thought they’d never be enough but they were so filling! The space is pretty small and every time the door opened we got a cold air blast, but it’s great food and a solid, casual Mexican place in St Albert!
