Nashik is an ancient holy city in Maharashtra, a state in western India. It’s known for its links to the “Ramayana” epic poem. On the Godavari River is Panchavati, a temple complex. Nearby, Lord Rama was thought to have bathed at Ram Kund water tank, today attended by Hindu devotees. Shri Kalaram Sansthan Mandir is an ancient shrine to Rama, while Rama and Sita are said to have worshipped at Sita Gufaa caves.

Wineries & Vineyards
Sula Vineyards, located in Nashik, about 180 kilometers northeast of Mumbai, is a renowned winery celebrated for its diverse grape wine varietals such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Zinfandel. What began as a modest 30-acre estate has now expanded to cover nearly 1800 acres across Nashik and Karnataka. This expansive estate welcomes visitors every day of the year to indulge in wine tasting and vineyard tours.
Located in Nashik, Sula Vineyards is an ideal spot for a day out with friends or family. The best time to visit is during the monsoon season, when the entire estate is surrounded by lush green hills, adding to its charm. You can take a guided tour to learn about the wine-making process and enjoy tasting various wines—though this experience does come at a cost. I visited on a weekend and paid an entry fee of ₹1500 per person. However, this amount is redeemable against purchases at their in-house restaurants or when buying wine. It’s a well-curated experience that blends nature, knowledge, and a little indulgence—definitely worth a visit!
Uditya S — Google review
An unforgettable experience at Sula Vineyards! The guided tour was both informative and engaging, offering insights into the winemaking process. The wine tasting session featured six distinct varieties, each with its unique flavor profile. The vineyard’s lush surroundings and serene ambiance added to the charm. Dining at their on-site restaurants, especially Little Italy, was a treat—delicious food paired perfectly with their wines. A must-visit for wine enthusiasts and those looking to unwind amidst nature.

5 stars for the scenic location. I personally love the rainy season and Maharashtra monsoon. The region just turns green during monsoon, and the same can be witnessed at Sula. There is greenery all around. The vineyard is beautiful , with restaurants overlooking the vineyard as well as" The Source" for overnight stay. I wish to come back to Sula during the grape season, i.e.. January- April. We visited Sula on a Sunday, and it was extremely crowded. The entry fee is fixed and is redeemable if you opt for food & drinks at any of the restaurants. The Winery experience has an additional charge. I did not explore the wine tasting experience as we were short on time. I personally did not like the security personnel at the entrance who were quite aggressive with the visitors. Some families need time to figure out the costs, etc, especially when they are traveling with kids. I literally saw the security personnel heckle a few families because they took some time to understand the cost for the group. This is very, very wrong. The same was during exit when Sula Umbrellas were literally snatched away from guests at the exit counter. Since it was incessantly raining the day we visited , some guests took the Umbrellas till the pick-up point, which is right in front of the ticket counter. I don't think any guests visiting Sula Vineyard will steal such large Umbrellas and get away in front of Security Personnel , so a little restraint is required from the security in dealing with guests. We had some wine , appetizers, and a pizza at Milestone Cellars. This restaurant is on the first floor and the only one which overlooks the vineyard. If you are a photography enthusiast, opt for the Milestone Cellars restaurant for the beautiful view. Being a Sunday , the restaurant was overly crowded, and there was some wait time. The service is slow, but the food and wine are pretty good. I will post a separate review on the restaurant Milestone Cellars. Overall , the vineyard is quite scenic, and there are a lot of photo props set up. One can explore on their own and enjoy the overall experience. Once again , the only negative about this place is the rowdy security personnel. Ample parking is available within the premises , right in front of entry point. The winery also has an outlet where one can shop for wines 🍷

Sula Vineyard is pure magic wrapped in sunshine and grapes! Yes you have to take entry tickets and on weekend it costs more that weekdays. Using that ticket u will get coupons and u can utilize it unside the vineyard to buy vine or eat something for there cafes. From the moment we arrived, the fresh, fruity breeze felt like a warm hug. The vineyard stretches like a dreamy green carpet under the sky. Every sip of their wine feels like a little celebration in your mouth. The staff treats you like an old friend, with big smiles and lots of stories. We loved wandering among the vines and catching golden sunset views. Their sparkling wine? Absolutely chef’s kiss! If happiness had a flavor, I’m pretty sure it would taste like Sula. Already counting days till we visit again!
The W — Google review
Visited Sula Vineyards recently and had a great time. The wine tour costs ₹600 per person and includes a detailed walk-through of the vineyard and wine-making process. The explanation is top-notch and the place is very well maintained. You also get to taste six different wines, and the portions are generous. There’s an in-house restaurant where you can enjoy some Italian cuisine along with your wine, and a small gift shop as well. At the entrance, there's a ₹400 cover charge per person which gets adjusted if you sign up for the tour. It’s a great spot to explore if you're driving between Mysore and Bangalore. Probably not ideal for a full-day outing, but definitely worth a short detour for the experience and the beautiful photos.
Gokul P — Google review
Sula Vineyards is a beautiful place to visit, but the pricing feels a bit steep. The entry fee is ₹600 on weekdays and ₹1,000 on weekends, which seems high. However, the good part is that this amount can be used as cash/coupons inside, whether at the gift shop, restaurant, wine shop, or for the tour and wine tasting. That said, the wine-making tour and tasting itself cost ₹700, which is quite expensive, leaving little balance from the entry fee for other expenses. The tour lasts about 20 minutes and ends with a tasting of six different wines. Inside, the place is well-maintained, with many great spots for clicking pictures. The parking area is spacious and well-managed. However, the Indian cuisine at their restaurant was not up to the mark—perhaps Italian would be a better choice. Overall, it’s a nice experience, but they could reconsider their pricing.

I visited Sula vineyards along with my family for one day. Thoroughly enjoyed tasting different wines and had cheese along with it. Loved the atmosphere and the beautiful view of the lawns ahead. A little cramped with the number of people but still a must visit. The experience was good. We luckily got a place to sit and indulge in some food.
Nyesha S — Google review
Sula Vineyards is an absolute delight for wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike! From the moment I entered the beautifully landscaped property, I was welcomed by lush green vineyards and a serene atmosphere. The iconic "#SULA" sign made for a perfect photo opportunity, and the entire place had a refreshing vibe. The wine-tasting session was an informative and enjoyable experience. The staff was knowledgeable and guided us through different wines, explaining the flavors and pairing suggestions. The ambiance inside the tasting room was warm and inviting, with a well-designed bar and friendly service. Although I don’t usually drink, visiting Sula Vineyards was still a fantastic experience. Whether you're a wine lover or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is worth a visit!

Nestled on the Trirashmi Hills, about 8 km from Nashik in Maharashtra, Pandav Leni Caves, also known as Trirashmi Caves, are a group of 24 ancient rock-cut caves dating back to the 3rd century BC and the 2nd century AD. Despite their name, they have no connection to the Pandavas of Mahabharata fame.
Pandav Leni Caves is a wonderful place to explore! The architecture is stunning, showcasing the beauty of ancient Buddhist caves. There are more than 15 caves, each with intricate carvings and a peaceful vibe. The atmosphere is cool and perfect for a relaxed visit. Reaching the caves takes around 30 minutes of trekking, with 300–500 steps to climb, so wear comfortable shoes. The ticket price is ₹25 per person, and you can conveniently book your tickets on the ASI website to save time. They also provide free parking and clean washroom facilities, making it a hassle-free experience. The surroundings are clean, well-maintained, and offer amazing views from the top. It's a great spot for history lovers and those who enjoy a little physical activity. Highly recommended for a weekend outing or a quiet escape!
Aniket A — Google review
It was incredible experience to visit Pandav Leni Caves. It’s almost 4000 years old caves and carved from Mountains and rock. One will amaze after seeing the beautiful carved rooms from whole mountains. Caution: the Caves is located above the top of mountain so you have to go by stairs and there might be 200+ steps. But it was really fun to have a stairs you will get the feeling of trekking.

A best place for health enthusiasts. Good for those who want to explore our history and culture. Not as marvellous as Ellora, Ajanta caves. But must visit. Do plan early morning visits.
Babasaheb S — Google review
The Pandav Leni Caves in Nashik are a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The trek to the caves takes about 1 hour, making it an easy-level trek that even elders can enjoy without much difficulty. The site offers an excellent view of the city from the top, making the effort worthwhile. The atmosphere during the early morning is particularly refreshing, with cool breezes and serene surroundings enhancing the experience. The caves, carved between the 1st century BCE and the 3rd century CE, showcase beautiful Buddhist architecture and offer a glimpse into the ancient past. The location is enjoyable in every season, whether it's the lush greenery of the monsoons, the clear skies of winter, or the warm but manageable summer mornings. Overall, Pandav Leni is an ideal spot for trekking, sightseeing, and a peaceful morning escape from the city's hustle.

Here’s the corrected version: There are a total of 24 caves, out of which 8-10 are truly mesmerizing. If you admire art, you will be awestruck by the grandeur and intricate craftsmanship of some of the idols. The best time to visit is either early in the morning or between 4-6 PM in the evening. The entry fee for adults is ₹25. At the base, there is the Dadasaheb Phalke Museum. Sufficient parking space is available for four-wheelers, free of charge.
Kedar M — Google review
It is a very nice place. Buddhist caves, nothing to do with Pandavas. It has 250 steps. Ticket counter is on the top before entering the premises. Toilets are there too at the ground level before steps start. Please note it takes 30 min or so to climb up. Ticket is 25 for Indians. UPI is accepted, but network is low. No food or water is available upstairs. Please carry a bottle of water.
D R — Google review
It was a very scenic view from the top. Would suggest one to go in the early morning for the view. The place was very calm and clean. Entry fees were Rs. 25 per person. But there were more than 200 steps to climb up to reach the caves. But it was worth it.

Nestled in the heart of Nashik, Sita Gufa is a captivating small cave that holds significant religious importance for devotees and tourists alike. This sacred site is intricately linked to the Hindu epic Ramayana and is believed to be where Goddess Sita worshipped Lord Shiva during her exile. Located just 2.7 km from the Nashik Central Bus Station, it lies near the revered Kalaram Temple in the Panchavati area, making it an essential stop on any pilgrimage journey.
Simply loved this place. It has a very mysterious kind of atmosphere. We wonder as we enter and are told about a drop in oxygen level as to how mother Sita spent so many hours of her exile here ..we have to literally sit and come down the steps and can stand erect before sita's shrine and then go up slightly bent. It is not so hard as it is made out to be.

It is a beautiful and serene cave believed to be the place where Sita, during her exile, sought refuge. The cave offers a peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and spiritual significance, making it a great spot for nature lovers and pilgrims. Inside there is a Shiva linga which Sita used to workship !
Sathvik B — Google review
Sita Gufa isn't an ornate or overly decorated tourist attraction. It's a simple, natural cave, which adds to its authenticity and charm. The idols of Lord Rama, Sita Devi, and Lakshmana are beautifully placed within the cave, and the natural rock formations themselves contribute to the spiritual ambiance. This is the ancient cave which is the place where Lord Rām spent his vanvās. The cave is very ancient and nicely maintained. The cave is very very cramped out and it may take time for darshan. There are idols of Lord Ram, Sitaji and Lakshmanji which are made of black stone. Inside the cave one experiences divinity and fells calm. A very spiritual experience indeed.

A great temple to visit if you're planning a trip to Nashik. According to history, Lord Ram built this cave (gufa) to hide Sita Mata during the war with Ravan's army after cutting off Shurpanakha’s nose.
Pravat B — Google review
Sita Gufa, located in the Panchavati area of Nashik, is a place of profound historical and religious significance. This cave is believed to be the spot where Sita, the wife of Lord Rama, was abducted by the demon king Ravana, making it an essential part of the Ramayana epic. I visited this place on Tuesday Evening and this place was very crowded. In case your are claustrophobic or fat I do not recommend it's because it's a slightly long cave and due to lot of people it's slightly tough to be inside.

Divtya Budhlya Wada is a bustling eatery in Nashik, known for its delectable Maharashtrian cuisine and spicy biryani. Has a waiting time of 20 mins minimum on weekends. But still well managed .

Amazing Food and mouth watering mutton plates!!! The curries are spicier but that is how it is expected from Maharashtrian cuisine, but the meat is so tender and succelent. I tasted the bajra roti for the first time and it was of excellent taste when combined with the mutton curry. In short, I have become a fan of Maharashtrian cuisine.

Chicken thali taste was not good curry taste is like you are drinking water with chicken. Also chicken khima was with added water in it. If u want some curry they charges rs 50 extra for every bowl of curry. We came here by hearing name of hotel. But it's over rated not worth there are many good hotels nearby which u can explore. Rates are also to high

Rustic ambience with old-school flavours. Egg, chicken, and mutton dishes are the specials. Hardly any vegetarian options. - Tasty and hygienic food - Flavours that remind you of the the traditional Maharashtrian rural meals - Thalis are the centre of attraction * Security-assisted parking available on the roadside private porch * Not-too-dirty washrooms * Not too crowded

Main Food Quality is very bad, we saw this restaurant in youtube but reality is very different. Chicken thali is very bad gravey is like water no taste, alao we order shev bhaji it also very tasteless Not recommended

For starters there are very few options for non veg and no starters for veg. It is best for thalis. We ordered Chicken lollypop, it tasted delicious 😋. Chicken fry masala was good but it was expensive compared to its quality as well as its quantity. Veg thalis and non veg thalis were best. If you love to eat spicy food then this is one of the best places for it. Overall good service and atmosphere was quite okay.

It’s terrible. I am giving one star as I don’t have option to give zero star here. It’s not worth to give 1 star also. Food quality is not good. We have bought 6 chicken fry thali, 1 mutton fry thali and 1 mutton kheema, all are not good in taste. They have given us third class chicken quality. Chicken pieces are not good enough to eat. Looks like they have served thrown pieces. We have given feedback to restaurant management at that time but they are not in a position to listen us. Please see images for chicken quality. Pieces shown in images are the pieces those we got exactly we hadn’t eat single bite out of them. Very bad experience. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone rather you please eat at some local place at least there you get good quality chicken to eat. Overall atmosphere is ok.

By far the best non veg food that I have had in Nashik. The first floor seating is great as it provides a view towards the road with fresh breeze blowing. I tried the Kashmiri tandoori chicken and keema roll for starters which was very delicious especially the Kashmiri chicken tandoori. For main course the mutton rogan Josh and mutton biryani were just amazing ! Overall a great experience.

This particular food joint is close to 15 years old & it's still one of the nicest spots to visit for a selective non vegetarian menu which is predominantly about Shawarma & different appetizers accompanied by biryani dishes. The place is located adjacent to college road & peak hours there will be waiting. Overall cleanliness & hygiene is well maintained & it's fairly quick service. There is two wheeler parking in front of the establishment but finding four wheeler parking during peak hours will be a task.

Highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience!

We went here reading a lot of reviews n they didn't disappoint us. The food is absolutely delicious here. It's mainly famous for the non-veg dishes but you can also try hummus ones in veg n they are also good. Changezi tandoori and Anagara tikka were spot on and not too spicy too. Changezi tandoori comes with 3 Naan pieces, so keep that in mind. We also tried Pahadi tikka Shawarma and Chicken dum biryani and we loved it. To end the food journey, try their Arabian delight, it just melts in your mouth. Absolutely recommended...

Don't let the name fool you; while they may not specialize in Arabian cuisine, this food hub still offers a delightful culinary experience. Their attempt to encompass Arabian cuisine might fall short, but they certainly excel in crafting fantastic shawarma. However, their biryani might disappoint enthusiasts as it leans more towards masala chawal than authentic biryani. Despite this, the shawarma stands out as a shining star on their menu, boasting delicious flavors and impeccable execution. So, if you're craving a satisfying shawarma fix, this place is worth a visit, but perhaps manage your expectations when it comes to their other offerings.

*Disappointing Experience at Barbeque Nation, Nashik* Rating: 1/5 On Monday, November 4, 2024, my group of 8 visited Barbeque Nation at City Center Mall, Nashik, to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was the worst we've ever had in dining. *Issues:* 1. *Rotten Starters*: Veg tikka was rotten, and even after replacing it, the new one was also rotten. 2. *Cold Food*: Starters, live counter food, and buffet items were served cold and looked unfresh. 3. *Unhygienic Conditions*: Spills were found at buffet, ice cream counter, and dessert areas. 4. *Poor Quality Food*: Rajasthani festival dishes were unauthentic and tasted bad (Dal Baati, Malpua, Kadhi). 5. *Hair in Dessert*: Found hair in Churma, making it inedible. 6. *Slow and Ignorant Service*: Staff ignored instructions and were unresponsive. 7. *Unresponsive Manager*: Seemed unresponsive to our concerns and displayed poor communication skills. He was also rude. *Conclusion:* Our birthday celebration was ruined due to the unhygienic and poor-quality food, coupled with terrible service. With many other restaurants offering better barbecue options in a clean environment, we see no reason to return to Barbeque Nation.

Very bad experience! The chicken was raw and undercooked, which is completely unacceptable. For ₹690, no complimentary drink was provided, and the quantity of food was much less compared to other offers. On top of that, the staff was not helpful at all. Definitely not worth the price. The live grilling experience at Barbeque Nation continues to be a standout feature, with an array of marinated meats and seafood brought directly to your table. Where the experience falls a bit short is the value proposition. At Rs. 1100 per person for the non-vegetarian buffet, it's definitely on the pricier side.

Food quality was disappointing, the chicken was hard and chewey, the veg starters were served cold and were probably made hours before, marination was only on the top and felt that they didn't do it long enough. The place believes in quantity and not quality. Maybe one off day for them, you can try your luck.

Was in Nashik and decided to give this a try, they seemed quite similar to the other competitors but I feel unlike the others they have a changing menu everyday. The exterior of the place is okayish not so pleasing, the security helped us park opposite and was very helpful. The staff in the restaurant was way above polite and helpful they treat you like family and not customers which is something that makes dining out memorable. They kept asking if we would need more things kept asking about the taste of the salt and spice level was fine. My dad was stuffedenjoying the starters that he skipped to desserts the staff asked if there was an issue and he said the starters were so good now I have no space for mains, the staff smiled like they know the feeling. The food was really nice and enjoyable, had them pack a persons to take back all the way back to mumbai, wish they would open up nearby I would definitely be a regular. Thank you for the great service and polite warm welcoming atmosphere by your staff. Needs 10 star for service and food

Heaven for nonvegfood lovers but very limited menue for veg. From starters to desserts all items are superb. Chaat cart is quite fulfilling. They also celebrate birthdays with special cake cutting ceremony. Nice ambience and quick service. Food quality is good. Value for money.
