British restaurant
The Artillery Tower is a unique restaurant located in a 15th-century military building with exposed stone walls and stunning sea views. This family-run establishment offers modern British cuisine made from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The menu features outstanding dishes, including crab starters and delicious fish mains. With its romantic setting overlooking Plymouth Sound, Drakes Island, and Mount Edgcumbe, this restaurant is perfect for a special date night or anniversary celebration.
One of the best restaurants we've ever been, in a quiet & almost like secret place. Food was great & served in perfection. The chef was brilliant, he came out & talked to all customers too before leaving, also Fabio (waiting staff) was brilliant. We enjoyed the ambience and will definitely dine with them again.

First time here and what a treat. Welcomed by the engaging Fabio and Peter the chef down a few steps and into one of the smallest, intimate restaurants I've ever been in. Fantastic view over to Drake's Island and I'm set. I'm not going to go on about what I had, suffice to say that everything put in front of me was well proportioned, fantastically presented and delicious. Everything had "something" which made it taste better than I expected. Thanks to you both for making our evening better than I thought it would be. I'll certainly be back again 👍

HIDDEN GEM - We were lucky enough to book a family celebration meal here. This is a small intimatre restaurant which cannot be bettered. It feels like you are being treated to a private dining experience, indeed the chef/ owner came to our table at the end of our meal to chat to us. The food is outstanding with everything cooked from scratch including their breads and ice cream. The duck was perfect as were the scallops and almond tart was very special. The building is also beautiful.

I booked a meal for my anniversary with my partner and the day before she had emergency dental work. I contacted the restaurant as soon as I could to say we’d like to reschedule and because it is within the 48 hour notice, they wouldn’t let us reschedule and took £60 from my account. The owner’s attitude was dreadful on the phone when I tried to explain so I won’t be rebooking.

My first visit here for my husband’s birthday and I was amazed by the quality of food, the atmosphere, the warmth of Debbie and the stunning views. Everything was exceptional and I am looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend Artilery Tower!

What a find! Brilliantly run, small, but 'high quality' (fine dining). All food was amazing 👏 Nice touch that the chef, comes to speak to you at the end of night too. Will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

This place was fantastic, a lovely atmosphere and very intimate, the food was incredible and the drinks were fab. The service was lovely as well, with the hostess helping in any way she could and the chef coming out after food was finished to make sure everything was okay.

Restaurant
The Dock Café is a modern British restaurant located at King Point Marina in Plymouth's Coastal Quarter. It offers stunning coastal views from its floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor balconies, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal or special celebration. The family-run café prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create an award-winning menu served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere.
Greta place to dine and great atmosphere The restaurant is on the first floor and overlooks the harbour and quay. Some quirky architecture makes this place fun and spacious, large glass windows give good views of the yachts docked in the harbour. Food was lovely, served quite quickly and of good portions. Had burgers, carbonara (with chicken) and Milanese chicken. All really tasty meals. Good selection of desserts too. Service was good and staff were attentive. Would recommend a visit and eat here. Has its own parking so no need to pay parking elsewhere. Though one part of the car park says 3 hours and the other says permit only. The one car park has both and you can stay for up to 3 hours for free when dining at the restaurant

Came here for a Sunday Roast and was very impressed! The venue is great, overlooking King Point Marina and the Sound, open contemporary decor and friendly welcoming staff - had a nice table overlooking the marina- the Beef Sunday Roast was excellent and well priced and portioned Would recommend and will be back
Simon S — Google review
We went here for breakfast it’s a great ambiance because of the huge windows and the indoor and outdoor seating areas giving great views of the marina and the boats. The granola was great as was the berry smoothie the peanut butter smoothie not so much.

Small but well planned restaurant with fish orientated menu. Sandwiches for lunch and main evening menu has steak and burger. Parking is allocated with your registration alloted. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced menu items.

We recently went to The Dock for a family meal. I have to say that after such outstanding service (and food) i felt compelled to write a review. Essentially, I was breastfeeding at the moment my food arrived so, naturally, I couldn’t eat right away. No harm done, I’m use to this after all (hot meals are a luxury at this stage!) and so I left it in front of me until my baby had finished. The staff at The Dock noted this and kindly offered a fresh meal once my baby had finished eating. I was so moved. You seldom experience service at this level nowadays! A tremendous thank you to Greg for making my day! We all enjoyed it very much and will be returning again.

Our first time sailing from Plymouth. We decided to to book a table at the Dock. Lovely welcome where we were advised that food would be served from 17.00. No problem we sat and enjoyed the view. Great food and superb service. We will be back.

Lovely place to eat. Been here a couple of times over the years. Good range on the menu for all needs.

Absolutely worthy of 5 stars. As a committed carnivore and based on comments of others, for a change went for the vegan coconut pancakes. What a revelation and well worth the visit (I live in Dubai!). Next trip will take the wife as the setting is spectacular and attentive staff. 100% recommended.

Pub
The Wilcove Inn, located in Torpoint, Cornwall, is a family-friendly pub known for its delicious Sunday lunch and generous portions. The inn offers a warm atmosphere and accommodating staff, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a meal. With options catering to gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets, as well as allowing dogs on the premises, The Wilcove Inn provides a welcoming experience for all guests.
Had a wonderful couple of days at this lovely little pub. All staff were so kind and friendly, and very considerate of my naughty dog. Had dinner in the pub on the first night, the lamb liver and it was delicious, I would absolutely recommend it. Everything was very fairly priced including breakfast. I had a large full English that was delicious and very generous. Room was very clean, warm and spacious. The view out the bedroom window was beautiful, it's a shame it was storming the whole time me and my partner were there. 10/10 fantastic little place. Would highly recommend.

I booked a room at the Wilcove Inn for a night. I wish I had stayed there a week. The pub is small but has magnificent views of Plymouth Harbour. It is tucked out of the way so hardly any noise. The bar was clean and well stocked. The rooms were spotless, spacious and had wonderful views and the beds were really comfortable. The only down side I had is that breakfast was not included in the price. But the food was excellent, both evening and breakfast meals. I plan on staying there again. 10 out of 10 from me.

Absolutely amazing stay!!! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were beautiful and incredibly dog friendly. Food was to die for and incredible for the price. Would highly recommend.

Lovely inn. Beautifully cleaned room, and great decor. Best made up bed ever...not a crease in sight! (A bit of constructive criticism would only be not to use mega cheap toiletries, as the room is so nice it warrants something nicer!)

First time here whilst visiting family and friends for Christmas 🎄 Situated within an amazing view. Food was fabulous along with the service. Can highly recommend the fish finger sandwich which was completely home made.

Lovely pub, great food, good beer, great location. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff.

Lovely little pub. Prices are what you would expect, more expensive than a spoons but not extortionate. On a sunny day it's great to sit outside and watch the world go by. Bonus, there is a car park across the road that's free.

Poped in for a meal ,sat by the window the view was stunning, so was the food and service. All at a reasonable price. Pity we found this place at the end of our holiday. Would highly recommend 👌

Restaurant
The Finnygook Inn, a traditional establishment with panoramic views of the valley, offers locally sourced food and a variety of beers. They also provide bed and breakfast accommodations. Recently, I had the pleasure of booking a birthday dinner at their restaurant. The inn is efficiently managed by an attentive and amiable staff. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant bustling with activity but were graciously directed to the bar while waiting for our table.
The Finnygook is a great place to go. The food is excellent;: large portions and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cosy and Erica and Neil are friendly and welcoming. I didn't try their room but I'm sure they would be of the same high standard .

Stayed here for work purposes, what an amazing place! The bar is really smart with a traditional vibe and a real log burner. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food.... oh my days.... the food is out of this world!! Cooked to perfection and very speedy service. The rooms are absolutely spotless, very modern and the bed is so comfy I didn't want to get out of it. I will definitely be coming back when I work down this beautiful end of the country.

What's not to like. Staff were great and I ordered sea bass it was beautiful husband had lamb it was good. Lovely atmosphere in pub nice place to sit and enjoy

The people were pleasant and the beer was tasty. What more do you need from a pub? (Other than free beer). Didn't stay in a room and the location is irrelevant. If I was in Scotland, it'd be very inconvenient but I wasn't in scotland, I was actually passing the pub so for me, the location was spot on. Anyway, its a very pleasant place and I liked it.

Myself and my friend arrived at 8 mins past 2 today having walked from Looe along coast path in the mist and wet. We were greeted by we are open but no food! Having walked past the kitchen and seen chefs still in kitchen. The 2 gents behind the bar didn’t even go and ask if they would do us a bowl of chips. We had walked up the hill on recommendation of 2 ladies. I ran a pub myself for several years and would alway try and accommodate customers.I realise there has to be a cut of time but felt that we could have at least been treated with a bit more consideration, especially as there is not even a shop nearby.

I went to The Carew Arms and had a delightful experience. I tried their steak and ale pie as well as their steak and kidney pie, both of which were the most delicious pies I've ever tasted. These homemade delights are served at this dog-friendly pub with friendly and helpful staff. If I find myself in the area again, I will definitely make a return visit to this hidden gem. On another occasion, I visited for lunch and enjoyed a bright atmosphere.
What a fabulous venue. Beautifully styled & presented; delicious food and a wonderful menu. Great atmosphere with friendly locals & and attentive host & team. A wood burner for chillier times days & nights too. Perfect!

How much ?!?! Had a meal here yesterday evening and was shocked by the bill !!! Fish platter was £39 !! and all I got was a fish goujon, 3 scallops, 4 king prawns, and a pot of mussels !!! The platter wasn't on the menu, but I heard it was good, so I ordered without knowing what I was getting or the price... silly me....😔

Looking for somewhere local to where we were staying for a family meal. We came across The Carew Arms whilst investigating places to go. This was a certainly good choice. A small selection on the menu but great food, atmosphere and service.
Shaun G — Google review
Amazing meal here again with friends for a birthday, Woogies @ the Carew is delicious. The food and seafood is so fresh the wine delicious, but what really makes it shine (even above the food) is the service. The atmosphere and the team working there are great a proper family run feel where they can’t do enough. I thoroughly recommend supper there. Steak and wine night is something else!

Quite possibly One of the worst meals I’ve ever had in my life - our starter was meant to be bbq ribs .. well they was microwaved chewy disgusting bits of slimy pork! The chicken burgers was just deep fat fried freezer food .. for £22 each burger I was expecting something better. Also asked for cheese in our burger and the chef said she doesn’t have time to prepare the cheese, what the hell does that mean 🤣 - only positive was the waitress she was lovely
Chels M — Google review
Initial impressions were that there wasn't much choice mid week on the lunch menu. However the burger I had was one of the best I've ever tasted and my wife really enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

This was a group lunch with 18 people. We had a function room. The lunchtime menu was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. They did a fantastic job of serving everyone in a timely fashion. Everyone commented on the good time they had.
