After a 3 hours walk in the area we wanted a coffe. The little café is really nice and the cheesecake was great. The arts exhibition was an unexpected add on.

A very special place a beautiful setting with a lot of history and very informative and interesting stories. The Basilica is very beautiful. The cemetery is always maintained very tastefully. Anesthesia Chapel deserves special mention. The visit there is really memorable.

Great place to visit, away from the beaten tracks. This isn't known to many tourists despite being very close to Munich. The large property is filled with several nature themed paths to explore. Products if the green garden can be purchased here and of course the monastry is a joy to look at. I was surely disappointed by the monastry's restaurant though. It might be with exploring what the village has to offer instead There is alsoa hostel here to stay over with mostly cheap prices

Nice to look at monastery garden! Am always a bit ambivalent about church locations due to the fact that usually they’re spots with a gruesome history of human suffering and the exploitation and oppression of minors, women, weak members of archaic hierarchical structures, etc all based on the lies of nefarious, old, power-hungry men about a fictitious, non-existent higher divine entity...but the architecture and the artwork are indeed and indisputably pretty.

The place is amazing!! Beautiful and quiet. A big parking. Very good coffee shop with the authentic garden and delicious coffee and fresh yammy cakes.

A good place to bring kids. Kids would enjoy the outdoor play places of different themes. Get a nice view of the flight's landing and take off. The food and beverages at the restaurant are a bit expensive though.

Amazing place to visit and it’s so simple

If you’re into planes and have a couple of spare hours before or after your flight this place is totally worth it. It’s a stop with the S1 from the airport and a nice 15 minute walk. The playground for the kids is one of the coolest and the view at the top of the hill really gives you a close overview of the whole airport. Be aware of having 1€ coins in hand, that’s the entrance cost to the hill.

This park has a variety of things for the children to play on while here so that they will not get bored. Lots of space for the children to play without interfering with other children. Very spacious! There's also a small Cafe where you can get drinks and snacks. There is even little airplanes for the toddlers to peddle. And there is access to the toilets!

Excellent option for the kids! We didn't visit the inner museum, because it was a paid tour. The outside park was perfect, kids loved it. There are an airplane for kids, a control tower and a zip line. For 1 euro you can enter in two of the three airplanes in the exhibition. For 1 more euro you can go up to the observatory.

Nice park for children. And the view point is not that much attractive but for one time you can try. The restaurant near by is good for pomes and some desert’s. Old flights are there but due to corona they are closed. Overall it’s good 👍.

Perfect for kids/young adults. Wasn't really my thing as I'm more of an art museum person but the effort put into all the wings here is very impressive. Lots of information about all sorts of things. I liked the space section the most, and overall I like to think this museum has inspired all sorts of careers.

Make sure to look at the map carefully and know what you want to check out beforehand (if you have a limited time).. the museum is really huge and every floor has too many details.. It took us around 2-3 hours to see only Ground, Mezzanine and 1st floor.. Unfortunately due to lack of time we couldn’t visit the other floors but it only worths visiting if you are into technology, science, chemistry and are in love with airplanes!.. it also has camera, radio, music and astronomy section which is really cool :)

Fun few hours. The exhibit on nano technology and history of the discovery of light was excellent. Wish I had planned an extra day to spend at the museum to explore more. I purchased a ticket only a 2.5 hours before closing

Very nice! It is a great experience. Has so many things. I'd say that you need 4 to 5 hours minimum. To experience the whole thing. It has restaurants if you get hungry and few places to eat.

By far the best science - and technology! - museum in the world. Only NASA Johnson centre in Florida can be more exciting, but only for the actual rockets, not explanations.

One of the best museums I've ever been to - period. The part od the museum that has been fully renovated is crammed full of interactive displays for all ages, and the exhibits are beyond everything I've seen so far. Also plenty of areas to take a break and enjoy a coffee or something to eat.

Lovely time at the museum - helpful staff and even got my lucky number 466 for my locker. Interesting exhibitions and plenty of interactive bits to enjoy. Nice apple juice in the cafe too. I'm told the oreo muffin was good however I didn't get to try that. Lots of benches to sit on. Planes were good but disappointed that the.model railway didn't have trains running at time.of our visit. Egg on my face for leaving what we had hoped would be best till last. Not all was lost thought. We walked over a bridge twice and it was a thrill. Utterly exhausted and entertained we left with a smile for schnitzel!! Go and visit it. It was good.

Real fairytale. Great fun park for kids 3-8 years old. Our two enjoyed it a lot. There are a lot of fun stuff to do here. You pay an entry ticket and then the kids can take on all rides. There are some that can not be used if raining so plan your visit according to the weather. Lots of trains, swings, cosmic ship and other stuffs. A couple of playgrounds. Lots of fairytales to start, watch and listen...like puppet theatre. If you are in Bavaria with kids then this is a must!

Spent all day long there. Fabulous space for the kids and the adults un-grown. A lot of funny stuff to discover and to have fun with. Space for lunch too with some choices of food with tables where eat relaxed.

You can get Pizza, Pommes, Schnitzel, cola, ice cream etc All attractions are for free. Parking is for free. Price is reasonable, but they charge more for adults than children being a children's freiziet park.

Amazing experience! It's full of fun activities for kids of any age. Eeally enjoyed our time there with kids. There's only an entry fees, that was 16€ per person and then all the rides and activities were free of cost. No extra charges for any of the rides. It was a nice family time and the place itself is quite relaxing and cool. :)

You would not expect how big or how many things there are to see based on the outside. Incredible place filled with a deep history. It was gorgeous, almost overwhelming. Very reasonably priced, especially for how long you're going to spend in there. Multiple language options for the self-guided tour.

Nice palace. It’s not too large inside but you can take a photo and need to be quiet. About the baby carriage, you have to use their carriage and leave your own in the space that they’ve prepared. I recommended you to buy a ticket in advance since the time that i arrived, i need to waiting in a line to buy a ticket.

It is a very beautiful and historical place to visit in the city centre of Munich. The administration is friendly, and they will always guide you regarding tickets and etc. Every room and every corner is full of Surprise because of the luxurious, Bavarian cultural antiques. If you love history then do visit this place. Though due to a huge area and lack of time, we should always visit this place as early as possible.

This was a great place to visit, so many rooms to explore and so much beautiful artwork to see. If I had one complaint it is their entry system. There isn’t one fluid way to purchase your ticket, get your audio tour guide and check your bags. It is very all over the place and the entrance can feel very chaotic. But once you get past that, the rest of the museum is amazing.

It’s a beautiful experience you wouldn’t expect from how the building looks from the outside. Great and friendly staff, helpful at any time and just a lot to see inside. Highly recommended and a must do for Munich.

We wanted to experience some german history and this place delivers. It just kept going and going. During the walking tour there are sections for you to leave the long tour and do a shortened version of it. If you wish to spend less than three hours walking, use this option. There are bathrooms throughout, seats in most rooms. Be sure to pick up your free audio guide when you arrive. There is a free coat check anything bigger than a purse must be checked, bottles under ,5l are allowed in as well. Enjoy~

The Munich Residenz is an absolute must-visit for history and architecture lovers. We loved our visit to Marienplatz. Such beautiful old architecture and being able to experience the glockenspill playing in the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). We returned later that night see it lit up for a more dramatic experience.

Marienplatz, the Old part of Munich, oozed a brilliant energy with crowds that seemed to swell every minute we were there. The Rathaus Glockenspiel - the large mechanical clock - enchanted the crowds with a traditional cooper dance orchestrated to bring people out of their homes at the end of the plague in 16th century. Today people still get to see that rich history and vibrancy in crowds that records the events on their mobiles !! We visited on a Sunday when nothing but coffee houses and eateries are open but even that does not affect the crowds.

I had a wonderful experience with the tour of the stadium. Our tour guide, Udo, explained everything very thoroughly, and we visited all the key areas of the venue. It was definitely worth the €25. After that, you could explore the museum, which is also partially interactive, as well as the club shop alone at your own pace. The food was also really delicious, considering the fact that you're eating at a stadium. It was also very well-priced. The one thing that amazed me was that one of the workers didn't speak any German, but I guess that it isn't necessary in order to work there. I advise buying tickets in advance since the queues are pretty long, and by the time your turn comes, there might not be any tours left.

The Allianz Arena tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide was extremely professional, answering every question with great knowledge while also keeping the tour fun with some lighthearted banter. It is a bit pricier than other stadium tours across Europe at €25, but it’s definitely the best one we’ve done so far—well worth the money. The tour lasts around an hour, covering all the key areas, and afterward, you’re free to explore the museum at your own pace. A must-do for any football fan visiting Munich!

Big stadium in the middle of nowhere, which is a fair walk from the nearest U Bahn station. There's a lot of construction going on as it's getting ready for the Champions League final and had to walk around the other side to start the tour. The museum is brilliant though, packed with loads of exhibitions, trophies and nods to former players. A must for football fans

A wonderful place to visit if you are a FC Bayern Fan. You will feel this place as a home. Too much walk from the tram station to the stadium, later museum and Arena tour therefore wear comfortable shoes. If you miss your tour appointment, then you must wait at least 3 to 4 hours.

Nice little upgrade on the old Olympic Stadium. Whilst I prefer my footie stadia on the city (Arsenal or even Spurs!) it’s definitely great to watch a game. This game was amongst the away fans of VfL Bochum who beat Bayern handsomely. Great atmosphere. Top singing. Shame Harry didn’t score. 🤥

We went to bayern-dortmund match which ended with a 2-2 draw. It was an amazing experience. There are lots of optiona for beer food and snacks. Supporters were amazing. Most Interesting thing was opponent supporters sang the same chants at some point

This is a great museum and absolute must for any car and motorcycle enthusiasts. The museum is very well organised and takes you on a very interesting tour, you will find about the history of bmw, the design vision and the drive for innovation. You get to see the old and the newest cars and motorcycles in impeccable conditions.

Great museum, modern architecture, plenty of historical information, plenty of engines/cars/motorcycles. We came here on Shrove Tuesday since everything else in town was closed and we were not disappointed. I also recommend going to the BMW Welt just across the street to see the current lineup of vehicles.

Well, I must say, I am deeply disappointed. Let me start with what museum had that can be considered as "good" since it will be short. Museum was well designed, you can just start walking from start and numbers will show you where to go next. Motorcycle sections were not great but was good. You can complete the tour within 2 hours (that is good because you won't waste your precious time in here). 5er timeline part of the museum was good to see. Also there is a photoshoot with M1 that was a good idea from BMW. And for the "bad" part: There is so much for BMW to display and amaze visitors yet there were so few for anyone to be amazed within the museum. I have seen some collectors put more effort into their museums/displays for BMW cars then BMW did for their own museum. Even the visitors garage of the museum had better cars to see in terms of models and condition of the cars. There were rust in some cars that are in display. History and legacy of BMW was shown with couple of arrows pointing badges. There were no E39 M5 in the museum nor a CSL nor M1000RR etc. They only put M1, E30 M3 and a couple of DTM vehicles within around 70 m² and BMW thought that was enough for glorious M Division. Other then motorcycle section and some historical cars, museum was about being futuristic and e-mobility. There were Elvis's car if you are a fan but I don't think you are going to BMW museum for Elvis's car. Last but not least museum shop was the worst. There is almost nothing special for BMW Museum. You have to walk across the road into the BMW Welt and then maybe you can buy some BMW tshirt for insane prices. Overall I would say you can even pass here on your tour in Munich but if you are a fan then keep your expectations low and you might enjoy.

Great collection of cars and motorcycles showcasing the brand’s history. Everything was perfect until, unexpectedly, they started rushing people out an hour before closing. Many visitors, including myself, didn’t get to see the entire museum, even though most of it was covered. €14 entry fee

Amazing amount of BMW history preserved. Just the museum alone can be visited in 2 hours, the accompanying areas around (the entrance building, the shops, etc) can take about an hour. Visit before 16:00 if you'd like to experience additional attractions such as the driving sim. And avoid touching the exposition unless noted otherwise - almost all the items on display had signs NOT to touch them (albeit they could have been more attention caching like brightly colored or with some sort of a light), that being said, there are items on display that can be touched.

It's a very big museum, so it's well worth the money. The tour is interesting and, above all, easy to follow, with lots of models on display. The building is very beautiful, very clean and very modern, making it a must-see in Munich. However, there were far too many people.

As someone that has been driving BMW for the last 20 years and only driven BMW’s to say that I was excited to see this museum would be an understatement. It’s located in beautiful Munich at the BMW headquarters. There is also the BMW Welt but you need tickets prior to arriving for that because that is mainly new vehicles and technology based where at the museum you can get your tickets at the door. We wanted to do the Welt but the ticket times were sold out so we just did the museum. It is very large and it’s spread out over multiple floors with about 30 different exhibits. I saw each car that I have driven in there and learned a lot more than I did prior to entering. Pricing is fair and the exhibits are really well done. There used to be a Michelin star restaurant in there as well but that is no longer there but they do have a really nice gift shop when you enter. It’s hard to name my favorite exhibit because they were just so many. I would highly recommend to any BMW fan or to anyone visiting Munich.

It’s just opposite to the BMW Museum. The entry here is free. We visited welt after finishing our guided tour of museum. This place was also fun to be and was good enough for visiting for free. They had good cars and bikes were there on the first floor. Cafe’s is there too inside. Overall good.

BMW Welt is an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in cars, design, or innovative architecture. The building itself is stunning — futuristic, sleek, and full of energy. Inside, the experience is just as impressive. You can get up close with the latest BMW models, including MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles, and there are interactive exhibits that explain the brand’s technology and vision for the future.

Cool experience! 🤩 Our visit took an hour or so. We checked out the vehicles displayed- both cars & motorcycles, had a coffee served by a robot, played arcade games at the Mini Cooper section, and admired the stunning architecture of the building. For BMW Welt you don’t need tickets - it is free to visit. For the BMW Museum however you need tickets which I think it’s best to buy in advance.

BMW Welt (world) is your free entry to the stunning world of the Great car makers, with its fine silver, glass and metallic sheen, modern structure, creating such peace and harmony with the adjacent Olympia park and its vast green hues. There are multiple entrances, floors and you are welcomed by the majorly steel palette of the center however with added colours mainly from display vehicles! Smart planning! There is a shop on ground floor, where BMW enthusiasts can purchase goods ranging from fridge magnets to clothing, toilets, baby change at basement, motor bikes on floor 1, cars on floor 0, with cafes across all floors. There are multiple lifts available, and if you have pre-booked a guided tour, it is sign posted. There is a connection that takes you from BMW Welt to Museum. Go ahead and do yourself a favor, visit and you will remember it.

Went after a visit to the museum, this is free in comparison to the museum but has all of the modern cars In there. Definitely worth a look if you’re in the area. Some beautiful cars and a good shop.

It’s definitely worth a visit, especially for those who enjoy nature and history in a tranquil setting.

This is vast park and has historical significance too. There is ample parking space and the stadium gives an amazing view from the top of the cliff. There are small water bodies where you can see swans and ducks. Its a beautiful place for kids to play and enjoy sports activities.

Went there with the family, and we all loved the park. The kids enjoyed their time by running, playing with the ducks, and feeding them. It's the time of the blossom cherry trees, which was amazing. It's one of the best family spots in Munich, which I always visit once I am in Munich.

I had an amazing time at Olympiapark München, which I visited lately. The park features a blend of prominent buildings from the 1972 Olympic Games, historic architecture, and stunning scenery. With a superb overview of Munich, the views from the top of the hill overlooking the stadium were just stunning. With its distinctive tent-like roof form, the Olympiastadion is a striking building in and of itself. Sitting in the stands and seeing the stadium's immense size, which has hosted numerous major athletic events, was incredible. There are lots of green areas and beautiful walkways throughout the large park, which is ideal for bicycling and walking. Anyone who appreciates architecture, sports history, or just being outside would love this place. Strongly advised!

1972 Munich Olympic Village, highly recommend you to visit it when you have enough time to spend and energy to walk, The main arena is open only for concerts but there are few other arenas where you can visit buying individual tickets like the swimming arena. The tower was closed the day I visited. Overall, a good visit!

The cherry blossom time in Olympia Park. We visited it on Saturday and it was a total nightmare, the crowds were out of control, everywhere full garbage scattered around the garbage bins, so many people making videos and photos. People were cooking national dishes on stoves and the nice area was smelling confusing, a group of women and children had a watermelon on their picnic cover which slides down the hill and exploded into pieces when it reached the road, none of them went there to pick up the pieces and clean that area…the wonderful blossomed branches were completely under invasion of children who were climbing and torturing them and the parents were taking photos, the area has become overrated. This place should be visited on working days at early hours. The beauty of nature has turned into a crazy crowded spot where people are concerned only about selfies for insta. The paid parking areas weee all full.

Booking tickets in advance is advisable to avoid long waits, as entry into the palace is limited to a certain number of visitors at a time. This restriction enhances the experience by ensuring the venue isn't overcrowded. Additionally, there is plenty of parking available, making the entire visit quite enjoyable.

My advice: skip the €20 "tour" the offer online. We paid €20 for two people for a very fancy art exhibit. The only good thing about our entry into the inside of the palace was our ability to walk through the gift shop and the main room you enter into. It was beautiful which you can see in my pictures and we spent some time admiring it. Other than that, skip it and enjoy the gardens/park which is free to enter. The gardens span out quite a ways and you could easily spend a good amount of time and steps walking around. There is a cafe to find something to eat or drink, but expect it to be busy.

Huge Palace and with open access to public gardens. An amazing place in Munich that has a lot of history behind it. Didn’t get the chance to see it from inside as the Palace closes at 6:00 pm after taking- but we were able to at least walk the path taken by nobles and rulers of yesteryears in the Bavaria region !

A beautiful escape away from the busy city center. This palace provides a park where you can walk endlessly and enjoy the quietness and nature that Munich has to offer. There is no fee entrance to be outdoors.

It’s like going back in time 😍 It’s so beautiful, I didn’t want to leave. In front you have the Castle in all its beauty and behind it is how we know it in movies (extremely green Garden but is used as a park. I can only recommend 👍

Lake Starnberg is a large, beautiful lake with clear, crystal-clear water. You can swim there or simply enjoy a walk. Unfortunately, there's no continuous path around the entire lake, as it's surrounded by several private areas.

Big lake very near München, reachable by S Bahn. Perfect to stroll around, swim, eat ice cream and paddle around on a boat.

My visit to Lake Starnberg in the evening was a magical experience. I hopped on the RE from Munich, and in under 20 minutes, I was there, right before sunset. The lake's vastness and depth left me in awe, and it's my go-to place for a relaxing run. The tranquility of the evenings by the lake is something I look forward to escaping the city's chaos.

It feels more like an exhibition than a museum—quite disappointing, to be honest. It should convey the horror of what took place there, but it doesn't. The fact that there are regular houses just behind the fence, where people live, blew my mind. What goes through people's heads to make it okay for them to have a view of a death camp from their window?

Was easy to get here from the Central Station Hbf in Munich. Take the S2 train to Bahnhof, Dachau, then take a transfer to 726 bus. Will take you there and back. The visitation center has your free toilette, Cafe with food, drinks, and warm coffee and hot chocolate which was well needed for this cold day. The people at the visitor center was nice and spoke English well. Rental an audio tour guide that was useful, but honestly I enjoyed reading all the materials and posters there. The camp was amazing, and everyone was respectful there. Everyone was speaking low for respect, similar to 911 Memorial Museum in NY.

It's heavy but worth it. I'm a history buff, and there were things on this visit I didn't even know. People say you need 2-3 hours, and it was my second time there and finally got through the entire thing (not enough time the first time). You need way more than 3 hours if you want to see everything, read everything, and do the walk of remembrance.

We went with a guided tour with Radius Tours. From Munich, we traveled by train and bus to get to the memorial site. We were with 'German Mark' ...not to be confused with the other Mark 😉 and he provided a lot of insight to the history and development of this memorial site. We came to Munich for Oktoberfest and spent the following morning here. It was sobering, though provoking, impactful, and necessary. You could easily spend the majority of the day here. They do provide self guided audio tours. Someone that we met at our hotel did the audio tour and enjoyed the content. You get a lot of content in the various areas and it's great to see that they are utilizing the space to remember what happened there. It was a very powerful experience.

I don't know how to be descriptive , sensitive and informative at the same time. This was quite frankly the most eye opening experience of my life. The horrors which I was sheltered from came over like an avalanche . This is definitely something that everyone ought to see with their own eyes. The tours were really good and recommended . My tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable (highly recommended) .Even though the level of horrors you see in this tour were frankly out of this world I left it being a better person, someone who's more aware of what can become of mere rumors and what they can snowball into.

Everyone over the age of 13 should visit here. Read the excellent displays - every word. Allow plenty of time to really understand what happened here and why. It must not be allowed to happen again anywhere in the world to anyone. Only by understanding how and why something happened can you learn how to stop it from ever happening again. This could have been hidden from public view or diminished in scope. Instead, this memorial over the years has become better, more complete, and more accurate to the reality and horrors occurring here. Spend the time necessary to learn from these events at this historic location. Plan on 4+ hours.

Absolutely incredibly powerful place to visit. It’s very well presented and managed - combination of extensive museum exhibits with text (multiple languages), artifacts, real life stories, videos, and pictures. Be sure to read as much as possible as you tour. There are memorials and public art throughout the site that represent many different backgrounds of the victims impacted. Careful reconstruction has been done on a few buildings, some original buildings remain, and much of the open ground is there from where original buildings once stood. We spent nearly 4.5 hours there and could have easily spent longer as learned lots. Audio guides in different languages are available.

Wow what a treasure! On a quick trip to Munich we dropped in here to view the monastery and to grab a light dinner snack. The grounds are very well maintained and the views are spectacular. I believe the food is all locally if not internally produced and the prices were actually very fair. They have some really delicious local (Bavarian) dishes and everything was delicious. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful place.

Amazing baroque church. One of the most ornate in the Munich area. Just far enough outside of Munich it does not see throngs of tourist but it's well worth the trip. About a 15 minute walk from the S-Bahn stop.

A perfect getaway for summer using regional S Bahn from Munich! Just 50 minutes away from Munich and at a walkable distance from the train station. The views are mesmerising and the lake is beautiful.

An absolutely serene experience especially during the dusk. The sunset view was exceptional and would be able to capture some excellent pictures. There is a good walkway through which you can stroll through the whole stretch of the lake. It is kid friendly and also very calm and peaceful. For those who would like to spend a beautiful evening walk with their friends or family, this would be a highly recommended place.

Recommended by friends and it was fantastic and strongly recommend. It took round about 30 minutes from the city center which is not far away. Parking lot was spacious and it was easy to find a parking spot. Although there were quite many people it was ok to look around.

Very nice Christmas market in a medieval atmosphere. There are really a lot of different things to eat, drink, try, and see. The entry is 12.50€, but at least once worth paying and seeing.

We visited the Christmas Market here, and it was an amazing experience. All the characters of the Grimms´Tales were there all around, walking in the crowd and playing with the kids. Very unique pieces of stuff could be bought, and we also found our favourite ones, so as delicious drinks and foods. Give it a try when you get a chance in the upcoming year.

Had a wonderfulexperience. What a greatly supported show of medieval costume and life. Could follow the show story because I have a bit of German language but suggest you read up on it. You don't need to go to the show but the horse riders were so cool and the turnier stunts were bloody awesome. If you have the energy and the interest do yourself a favour and visit. We also took our own rain ponchos and cushions. Priceless. Getting there with a car was easy but they did run some buses very late to the station at geltendorf. Use your Google maps. 💕💕👍💋🥰🥳

Interesting to learn about the life of Sisi. The grounds had walking paths

An unadorned castle situated in a remote location, that’s to say, it seems more likely a regular resident house. Because of fame of Sisi that attracts visitors come over here constantly, but some could be end up disappointedly. But that’s not the case for us, hiking is the real issue here. There’re some interesting hiking routes between Unterwittelsbach and Oberwittelsbach, this is my alternative tip for other people who might looking for different recreation.

First of hopefully many pictures of German castles (and occasional other stuff). Pictured here is Wasserschloss Unterwittelsbach, also known as Sisi Schloss. Not nearly as spectacular as Neuschwanstein it is still worth a visit if you are in Bavaria. Placed right next to city of Aichach (also close to Augsburg and Munich), this could be the perfect detour for a few hours. With entry price of just 4€ for adults it is a bargain, and after you finish looking inside (which will not take too long), there is a nice trail around the moat surrounding the castle. You can also sit on numerous benches and enjoy clean air and bird song :)

Another nice place to visit and to walk around a little park & sea right near the castle of princess Sissi. You can expect to have a nice time there and see the past glamour of forgotten times. Also you can, if you want, get a cold beer. Big point, there's a lot of free space to park your car.

Nice setting. Beer garden and restaurants in the season. Nice signposted walk. Exhibitions in the castle. A must for Sisi fans, but nothing compared to Ludwig's castles. Very quiet during the week.

I highly recommend visiting this place! It’s a beautiful spot for a walk, with plenty of space to explore and enjoy. I visited during the winter, so it was quite cold, and we didn’t get to see many animals like giraffes, elephants, and a few others. However, the experience was still lovely, and I’m sure it would be even better in warmer seasons when more animals are out. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice Zoo and really big, big variety of animals and places for kids to eat and play

It's' a Wonderful zoo, had most of the animals, There were giraffes, elephants, penguins, seals and many more ✨ great for families, come early to be able to witness the feeding times of the animals.

We first went there on a Public holiday and it was impossible. There was no parking, the cue was very very long. I guess one could wait upto two hours. We decided to go back home and reschedule. We went back on a Thursday and it was worth it. Entrance fee was 14 euros for adults. We parked close to the entrance and there was no cue at all. We arrived one at 16:00 and the zoo closes at 17:00 thus we had to rush. It was around feeding time and it was interesting. We enjoyed the walk around the zoo and the animals were looking healthy and well taken care of. Some few walk ways were closed and the restaurant too. We could not see some animals. The play ground is huge and for all age groups though we could not use it due to time. Some animals were already indoor due to the changing weather example giraffe,zebra and Elephant Overall it was a good experience and we shall go back in summer.

Augsburg zoo is fun but its not that big and compared to other city zoos its a bit small as well. We were not aboe to looknon Girffe,Elephants or lions but overall it was okay. My kids had fun in kids playing area. You can visit with kids to look animals.

It's essential to prioritize the well-being and comfort of all the animals, and I trust that the zoo is taking appropriate measures to address any issues. The zoo's amenities were also worth mentioning. There were well-placed seating areas and picnic spots throughout the park, providing ample opportunities for families to take a break and enjoy their surroundings. Additionally, the availability of refreshments and snacks made it convenient for visitors to stay energized during their visit. Overall, Augsburg Zoo is a fantastic place to spend a day with the family. The well-maintained facilities, happy and healthy animals, and the educational experiences it offers make it a great choice for both young and old. While there were a few animals that appeared agitated, I believe the zoo is committed to their welfare. I wholeheartedly recommend Augsburg Zoo for a memorable and enriching outing for the whole family.

Anyone interested in pupeting will love this place. Take the tour with the tour guide to really learn the ins and outs. Our guide was superb and very knowledgeable. The puppets that have been used in many shows were on display. Definitely a worthwhile visit. don't forget the show it was also very enjoyable

Wanted to see one of the most famous sights in Augsburg. It was really fun.

Very beautifully made puppets . These were used to make the old cartoons and story books. The exhibition is small . There was a wall projected some introduction thing at the begining . When I pressed it to see , a guide who was explaining to a group came over and turned if off. I found is offensive and overall didn't find the place that worthy to spend 5 eur . One can probably check out the photos at Google maps for this place .

Went to explore the puppet museum, which was very impressive, due to the details of each single puppet. Finally enjoyed the "Der Ring der Nibelungen", which was the first performance after Covid lockdown. By the way, it was an excellent show.

Simply magic place to be, both as a kid or adult. This puppet theater is a cultural visit card of Augsburg. It has a huge history and yet every season surprises with the new program. Must see in Augsburg! Puppet theater art mostly vanished in the modern Europe, so this theater is a unique preserve of century old fairy tales traditions. a residential complex from 16th century for the catholic people in Augsburg in need. now also is a museum to visit with church and a bunker. interesting to see how they founded the place and the historical phases which passed.

The world's oldest social housing complex and it's full of history! Well kept and maintained, and very impressive to see how well it was done considering how old it is. But very picturesque in the autumn too

Unbelievable experience. A more than 500 year-old project that is still ongoing, probably the longest running social housing project in the world. Go in and get to see the houses the residents have, learn about the history, and also see a WWII bunker shelter. This place is linked forever to Augsburg's history and vice-versa. Free toilets inside, tickets are bought at the entrance ( accessible for disabled people as well). Inside, you might find a small van with water, juices, and beer. Feel free to chat up the residents of the place like we did, talking with some 90 year-olds.

built in the 1600's by Elias Holl with the late renaissance architecture. it is the icon of the city with Eagle painting on the front and the pine coat of arm on the Top. impressive architecture and the entrance is free on the Groundfloor where you can visit the war memorials and ancient relics and modules from the City.

Quite a sight to behold from the outside, more so on the inside. Only a €2.50 entry fee for adults to enter the Goldener Saal (Golden Hall), which is very impressive. You can also visit a couple of informative exhibitions for free on the ground floor, including a brief history of Augsburg.

Wow. The golden room is definitely worth visiting. Reasonable €2.5 per person to visit. This beautiful building has a hidden golden nugget inside. Literally. The golden room has over 2.7kg (5Lbs) of gold coating all over the moldings and statues. The history of this over 450 years old building is fascinating, and how it survived and was rebuilt after WW2. The staff dis knowledgeable and super helpful with any questions when visiting. They even offer a folder in English or Spanish for international visitors.

Beautiful town hall and the heart of the city

The city hall of Augsburg might be the most famous landmark of the city. A city that was lead by wealth and power until the 30years war. The square is a popular gathering place. It is worth a stroll.

Unfortunately, I didn't had the chance to enter this beautiful piece of history, just outside the views...

The "golden saal" or the golden hall inside is beautiful and amazing. The entrance fee is cheap especially if you are student, anyway to enter the rathaus is free. You will also have a good view of the square down below from the hall.

That's the atmosphere I like. It's worth checking out at least for the amazingly old stained glasses. Free admission is very appreciated

Worth visiting. They closed at 18 but we managed to have a quick tour around the church.

It is impossible to express the atmosphere with words. Everyone must feel it for themselves. It's very old and massive cathedral not very far from city hall. It is home to oldest surviving stained glass. The paintings with some dating back to 11th century are authentic. Be aware that it closes at 6.

A very beautiful The Cathedral of Augsburg, founded in the 11th century. Very detailed art works with original stained glass. You can easily spend 45 minutes walking around inside and out. We went on Sunday and did not pay to get in, not sure if there is s fee at all. It is worth the visit.

Remarkable place for a small town like Spalt. Well organized and curated. Great museum store and beer tasting station. Good place to spend an hour or two to explore the museum and then hang outside enjoying some of their beers.

Fascinating museum dedicated to the history of hop growing and processing. It is a community effort, staffed by friendly and enthusiastic people. The town is charming as well.
