Located in the beautiful countryside of Upper Bavaria. The area offered a gorgeous setting, where it was tranquil and peaceful. You can just sit back and enjoy the scenery by embarking on a ferry ride during the Summer.

This is a very relaxing spot. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the lake and dine in a nearby store when you are tired. Or taking a walk along the lake after a meal is a good choice. The only thing to note is to leave early to avoid traffic jams.

This is the most amazing place I have visited so far. Want to visit this mesmerizing deramy place again. I felt like, I was walking in a fairy tale movie set. Although camera can not do justice to the breathtaking beauty of this place, still tried to capture a bit.

Tegernsee is one of the most beautiful lakes and even places, I have ever seen and been to!! Small lake and town near to Munich, less than 2 hours by car and also you can get there with train very comfortably, during pandamic all the shops in a small town are close but there are many small local shops for dining and decorative stuffs. But we enjoy sightseeing, hiking, relaxing and we were lucky because it was sunny that day and it helped us to enjoy more. Definitely I will come back and stay there for couple of days in hotel, one fay was not enough for me !!

A beautiful lake with a mountain background is totally mesmerizing and peaceful. They offer a full round cruise ride which is 90 mins long , you can definitely spend half a day here

Beautiful place to plan a full day trip. Large parking with easy access for disabled and strollers. Very clean and well maintained environment. Great balance between pathways with sun and shade. You can take a horse to the castle which is 5 euros for adults and two for kids. The boat ti the island was round about 11€ per person. The toilets are also very clean

Absolutely wonderful! The island location makes this one of the best castles in Germany. Everything was was excellent, including our tour guide. Even though we had to wait for our tour time, this gave us ample time to walk the grounds and take lots of memories.

The castle was stunning when walking inside. But no photo allowed. Non-German speaking visitors should reserve English tour online, otherwise, you have to join German speaking group. The guide would hand you a 3-page brochure for you to read throughout 35-minute session. The guide did not give a good impression by adding “it was written on the brochure” after answering questions. If the information was provided, I wouldn’t have asked her the questions!

I visited here many years ago during May and it was a nice castle to see. I don’t recall the ferry to the island taking overly long and the walking was nice on the island. Overall a good place to visit

Really pretty place! A hidden gem most people do not know about! Worth the visit! Make sure to plan to be in Prien earlier to get a ticket for the ships and then count with 15 minute boat ride and 15 to 20 minute walk to the castle.

Wonderful Castle. The tour is fairly short and to the point which we liked. The gardens and fountains are so beautiful.

I was extremely skeptical about the castle, but I was enchanted. It's an incredibly beautiful and pleasant place, and its interior, reminiscent of Versailles, leaves you speechless. Nice boat ride then you need a 20-30 minute walk to the castle in the island. We attended in mid-March and almost none of the gardens were open. I would imagine this is due to the time of year. Still nice but I would imagine it will be spectacular in the summer. The palace itself was cool, and the hall was a beautiful place. I would have liked to have tried the Mozart dinner activity here so if that’s your thing, give it a try.

The palace and grounds are the highlight of Salzburg. We attended a Mozart concert in the palace and were delighted with the top notch performances of 4 Mozart chamber works. I'm a trained classical musician and I was surprized by the passion and skill of the performers.

There is something magical about listening to songs in the same place where Mozart used to perform > 250 years back, with the same ambience, lighting and no mikes, just acoustics and pure melody. The concert is held usually at 8pm and the on spot tickets are sold at 7pm onwards on the same day. There are a total of around 190 seats and prior reservations online are possible. However , if you are holding a salzburg card, you may opt a 10% discount on the price which you can availa only at the on spot booking. They ask you to arrive 30 mins early so that you can choose the best seats for your category.

I visited Mirabell Palace during my trip to Salzburg, and while I know it’s famous for being featured in The Sound of Music, I personally wasn’t as excited since I’ve never watched the movie. The palace and its gardens are nice, but I didn’t find them particularly impressive. The gardens are well-kept with sculptures and neat landscaping, but they didn’t stand out as much as some other European gardens I’ve seen. For someone like me, who isn’t familiar with the movie, there wasn’t that same magic or connection that others might feel. The palace itself is charming, but overall, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. If you’re in the area and have some time to spare, it’s worth a visit, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must-see unless you’re a fan of the film.

Beautiful garden! Visited in December, so there was not much of flowers and green. Still very pretty, def need to come back in spring time!

We loved our visit to the cathedral, especially at Christmas. It’s breathtaking and a must see in Salzburg (as all reviews say). The Christmas market is located in the same square which is great. The architecture is brilliant and intricate.

An amazingly built architecture!!! I always marvel at how much effort and dedication goes into constructing these kinda cathedrals. Everyone must visit this place and appreciate the work involved in making a masterpiece.

It's such a beautiful Catholic cathedral. The outside is already stunning, and the fact that the square where it sits held a Christmas market made the setting incredibly dreamy. The inside will blow you away in every sense. It is sensory overload. The crypt is the only thing I don't think is worth seeing, but you are already there, so you might as well see everything.

Beautiful city to visit. It's my favourite Austrian city. Mozart city. The buildings are historically and beautiful. A small city with beautiful site seens.

The part that stood out to me the most was the light and dark contrasts in the stone carvings on the walls and ceilings. Be sure to go down into the crypt that is on the southeast side of the church to see the layers of previous buildings. There is a 1200 organ concert. The organ has an interesting configuration, on the southwest side is one set of pipes and a stairway up to the keyboard and there are 3 other sets of pipes on each corner of the dome.

The castle itself is pretty to look at from the outside, doesn’t have that many details but it sits ontop of a mountain which makes it look amazing from afar, though I would say that the view is the only good part about it. Entrance is 9 euros, doesn’t cost that much but there isn’t a lot to see on the inside, at the time of my visit the Arsenal exhibition was closed and any other small museum you’d be interested in seeing costs extra, so either pay a lot at the entrance or just pay to enter and make up your mind inside. Funnily enough there were less exhibitions open than restaurants which goes to show how much they want to make off tourists.

Iconic Salzburg landmark. The fortress is very well kept and it's entry is included in the Salzburg pass. The walk up to the fortress is very nice. There is a decent restaurant inside as well. There aren't too many archives or displays outside, but some rooms are accessible. The main attraction inside is the museum with the history of the fortress, some medival collections and some souvenirs to purchase. The best thing to do is climb one of the towers for an amazing view of the sunset. On your way down, you can stop at one of the cafes as well, and take the funicular.

So much to see So much to learn about the history! Glad it have different part of the exhibition that you could try different languages which fit your need! Also some area is interactive with ! I had a great 2 hours here! Last but not least, I’m glad to get a handmade chest just to support the traditional work!

I don’t know why people say there’s nothing to see in Salzburg. The fortress is a historical landmark with interesting stories and views are so scenic, city on one side and the distant Alps on the other. We chose to take the steep footpath and the total time for the entire trip was around 2 hours. Totally worth it for around 11€ per adult.

We decided to visit the castle as change of plans , since rain started today . We spent around 1.5 hours, we took the all inclusive ticket, most of the images I attached are from the "magical theatre" which is what you pay extra from the basic ticket, around 4-5 euros more. As you see from the images you decide whether its worth the extra money. The fonicular ride is very quick, less than 20 seconds probably, but saves you alot of effort climbing up. We had a car and we parked it at "Barmherzige Brüder garage" undeground , we paid about 11 euros for the activity time. About all the castle is nice , you definitely feel the vibe of the place. We had a kid with us and she got bored at middle of qctivity , im not sure its a good place for kids, since you hear mostly historic medieval stuff.. Over all nice activity to do. 18 Euros for an adult. All inclusive ticket. I don't think buying a ticket in advance is necessary.

Wonderful view from the fortress! We walked to the entrance, but there is also a possibility of to have a short drive in a funicular car. We did not buy tickets in advance, and there were no lines. Wonderful experience!

Fortress Hohensalzburg is an absolute must-visit when in Salzburg. Perched proudly atop Festungsberg hill, it offers breathtaking panoramic views over the city and surrounding Alps — easily one of the highlights of any trip to Austria. You can either hike up to the fortress (a steep but scenic walk) or take the funicular railway, which is quick and a fun experience on its own. I highly recommend taking your time to explore every part of the fortress — from the watchtowers to the armory and even the creepy medieval dungeons

Amazing views, but it can be very crowded. There is a cafe and several lookouts. If you are driving, get there before 9am, since the parking lot can fill quickly. I noticed people parked along the side of the road when spots ran out. The parking cost is 5 euros or $6. Take the bus to the top round trip for 32 euros or 25 euros one way. Once on top, there is a free elevator taking you further up. Alternatively, you can also hike up. There are several trails. Make sure to have good shoes and water. Watch out for the flies. They bite and will leave a mark.

Worth the bus price. Amazing view and very wheelchair friendly. Because of the volume of people the wait during lunch is long. But with the view, it was fine. Finding a seat is very easy. Definitely worth going at least once!

The view is breathtaking! The bus ride up is an adventure in itself. Had lunch on the terrace and it was the most beautiful view I've ever seen. The beer was cold and the service was excellent. Wear good shoes when you go there.

I wish the was more of the house to see but most of it is now the restaurant. No reservations needed. Just order and find a table. There are a couple of rooms and a terrace not being used to look at. Outside up the hill further there are some areas to check out. Heck out some of the side paths too. Keep going straight back. Awesome views.

It's definitely a lifetime must see, especially if you are a history buff. It's the only remaining WWII building from the Third Reich in Berchtesgaden. It also has amazing views of Berchtesgaden and the Konigsee. There is limited parking at the base. That's were you'll catch a specialized buss to the top. Be sure to make it at your specific time. Coming down we're able to catch a slightly earlier bus. You can walk to the top, but it's an 800m vertical rise, so not an easy chore. Make bookings online ahead of time. When we got there there was a three hours wait for same day bookings. You need to book your return also. 45 min is more than enough time unless you plan on eating a meal at the restaurant. It's amazing walking around knowing that this was such an important part of history. They have a pictorial wall showing some of the events related to the building including Ike visiting it.

Interesting history. The views vary from incredible when cloud free to at times, quite foggy. Upon arrival, there's about a 200m tunnel that leads you to an ornate gold trimmed elevator. Once you're at the top, there's food to be had, souvenirs of course to purchase, and magnificent views of the Bavarian Alps. It's an easy busy ride to get to from Salzburg Austria.

It is extremely difficult not to associate this location with its past. There is a lot of dark history surrounding this area that we should never forget. This is also a very beautiful place and area to visit. The beautiful views from the top are stunning and panoramic. Be sure and bring some snacks and water as the Cafe is not always open.

Well, I think experiencing this train is a must if you are around Salzburg or Hallstatt. We bought a combo ticket for boat and train together. The boat port was Strobl and the sailing was fun. During the sailing we enjoyed the sceneries around and then the train was fun as well. It took us to the top of the SchafbergBahn where we were able to see all the beautiful lakes and mountains around.

Book in advance! Many of the trains were selling out. It gets super warm inside but the views are really amazing. If you are a steam train enthusiast, I think there are only one or two steam trains that run, the others are regular diesel engines.

We spent two weeks around Salzburg, saw amazing sights, but the winner for views? It is this one. Pricey (around 100 euros for two), but absolutely worth it. Historic train climbs a steep mountainside, and the views from the top? Breathtaking! Beat everything else we saw. Totally worth the splurge😅. If you want the best view just leave the train behind you and continue straight up. You will see the lakes from one point. Absolutely breathtaking view.

Nice hour long round trip train ride with beautiful views. The views are even better at the top! The ride itself for two adults is just over 100 euros(ouch). Had we not been crammed in the rail car it wouldn’t have been as bad. Seats are 5 people wide and then 5 people across from you all knee to knee. This makes it difficult to see all the views as you cannot move and most people have their phones in the air taking pictures. After we learned this lesson going up, we took an earlier, less crowded train down. To get the best views on the way up you want to sit on the left side of the rail car. On the way down, you want to sit on the right side. All in all this was a neat experience.

Great experience but only when you get to the top! We got the train up and down, which is quite expensive, as it is too slow, too crowded and not airconditioned (I mean with so much daily income, a kind of airconditioning could be installed), but the view from above really deserves all the suffering😂 be prepared and get the snack and water in advance! The parking lot offers you a big discount if you scan your ticket! you may need 1,5 to 2 hours up in the mountain to explore around, take photos and chill on the hills! get a ticket online in advance in order not to wait in queues! it doesn't really matter where you sit because you will have views either way!

One of best ice caves experiences in the world. I have visited the caves twice, 7 years apart and can truly say the sculptures inside are changing. The elephant sculpture from 7 years ago now almost looks like a wooly mammoth. There is ample parking around which is not chargeable. It is best to book your slot online before visiting to avoid the rush for entry. Also, please carry good jackets as it is very cold inside the caves. It is best to choose a morning slot so that you have ample time to enjoy. It's a good trek upto the cable car after the entry check point and again from the cable car drop point to the cave, so having good treeking shoes really helps. There is a washroom located near the cave entry and the 1st checkpoint. Before entering the cave they give you a lamp which works on oil to carry inside. The guides are all very amazing. There is a fair steep climb inside the cave which raises your heart rate and helps keep you warm. The fire looking out of the cave to the mountains is just mindblowing.

This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. The hike up isn't for the weak (even with the funicular ride it is still two separate holes up some pretty steep grades). Once in the cave you still continue to hike up even more but it is so worth it! Bring a good jacket because it's cold in the cave!

I visited many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide’s burning of magnesium strips to illuminate the cave was quite good too. I highly recommend it (though they didn’t let us take photos inside during my visit - so my photos are from outside the cave)

Beautiful and unique ice cave. Be sure to have a warm coat and pants. You may have a hat and gloves if you're easily cold. The walk up to the cave is 90 minutes long but worth the panoramic. Otherwise you can pay for the trip by cable car, then you have to walk 20 more minutes to the cave entrance.

There is no doubt that the hike and the cave are really beautiful. But the instructions and time schedules for bus do not make sense. Last ride of cable car was 5:10pm and the last shuttle bus wass 5:30pm. I ran and caught the bus. Unfortunately one person was left behind and the bus had to return back. 20 minutes walk is kind of misleading because it takes long to reach the cave after getting down from cable car.

Amazing experience! Whole cave is covered with ice. There is about 1500 steps inside the cave. So watch your steps and be careful. And do not forget to take of your gasoline lamp and not to burn your neighbour. Definitely worth to visit! It is better to buy the tickets in advance in the early morning entrance , because later it becomes really crowded🙂

A beautiful though cold cave. The guide was kind and seemed enthusiastic which brought a good mood. To get there you purchase or scan a ticket then you have to walk 20 minutes, take a cable car and walk another twenty minutes. Most of the walking is possible to do in the shade and warm clothing is recommended.

It was Sunday the 13th of Oct. 10am when we went there. It was already busy even at an early time. We had rain showers at start but luckily it stopped as we were starting to descend the spiral stairs. Couple of times we see inconsiderate persons on different areas smoking. It is very irritating for us non smokers (plus we have a small child) to smell the smoke. It would be good if the whole gorge will be a smoking banned area. I hope the management will notice. Anyway it is of course a beautiful place. We were with our 5yr old son and I was less worried here due to better pathways compared to the other gorges we visited. I suggest visit on weekdays, less busy.

The recent prices have been reduced to €10 either due to season or some storm damage. A truly powerful experience with a great walking path. Beware, there are plenty of stairs.

TrailThis is an ideal spot for an enjoyable family nature walk. The trail is safe and well-maintained, mostly composed of wooden pathways secured alongside the rock formations. Part of the trail even passes through tunnels carved into the large rocks.Suitable for the whole family, the trail is about 1.5 kilometers each way and is not circular. The walk is generally comfortable. There are quite a few steps, but as long as you take it slow, you can fully enjoy the wonders of nature. Highly recommended. Free with the Salzburg Land Card.

a great place for a family walk. the view of the waterfalls is mesmerizing. It is better to wear old shoes or something not white. In many places the water is mixed with mud my white sneakers were killed by the edge. take tea, water and food with you. there are tables near the waterfall where you can sit and relax and have a snack.

Awesome experience. Views are breathtaking. Its bit difficult to reach there using public transport. My 3.5 year old son could take all the stairs. Can be crowded at times.

5 stars, must visit. The unique stair design added elements to the nature. Better to go early morning, by time we finish, crowded. Must prepare to walk the stairs, quite manageable for me

The parking is free of charge. The car park is around 600 meters from the entrance. It is a great destination if you are in the area. I can recommend this place for a family trip. Beware the floor is slippery some proper shoes or boots are recommended.

Center(market square) of the marvelously beautiful town Hallstatt. There were lots of tourists and some were really annoying, please be respectful, some people live there. The natural beauty is unmatched. Also there are nice cafes and restaurants too, but most of the things are expensive.

Hallstatt is one of the best places I’ve ever gone on earth. It’s like a heaven and I can not believe how beautiful it was. You have to experience it by yourself

This is such a beautiful township to visit. It’s part of the Hallstatt attractions. As we walking through the town, we stopped by various markets, bake shops, salt shop, ice cream stands, gift shops, while admiring the unique architectures, colorful and floral residential houses, and gorgeous water and mountain views. Yes, there were a lot of tourists here, the roads are crowded, and we were told of the stories that most of the locals don’t real care for the tourists to be here so we need to be extra polite when not communicating with businesses owners. This is a must to visit when you are in Hallstatt!

One of the most scenic places ever. Heard it was one of the inspirations for the townhall in the animated movie 'Frozen'. Ideal for fresh fish meals as well as the visit to the Salt Mine. The latter is a MUST GO!

If you wanna go inside of the shop you should scan your credit card as a key. You can buy something with credit cards contactless card option inside. Shop owners are very kind. But items prices are expensive. Souvenirs are expensive. For example famous Hallstatt Salz, I did not bought it from souvenir shop I bought it from Gschäft Markt. If you wanna advert your famous place you should sell souvenirs cheaper when you do that you are actually selling that tourists journeys story. That means tourist who will share souvenir as a gift also share how amazing this area and you are gonna get more customer, tourist. This will be the free marketing for you and your country. Anyway I love Hallstatt and of course Austria. I recommend visit this lovely country. 🇦🇹

Some truly amazing views in the old town Hallstatt, the beautiful buildings, the water fountain in the middle, the cobblestones. Very touristy part of the city, worth visiting.

In my opinion, this place is the must when you go to Hallstatt. Because in Hallstatt, it doesn't have anything yo do that much. This place give you a good view and experience about walking in the cave. 40+ euros is acceptable.

Honestly we were just trying to go with the funcilur for the views but apparently we purchased the salt mine tour too which was a pleasantly fun 90 min tour, and a great experience! They give you salt to try on the tour! And take pictures of you going down the slide. Also give you special suits to wear to go on the tour.

One of the key highlights in my Austria trip. The organization of the tour is highly professional. The experience was informative as well as joyful. I love the fact that there are a lot of interactive activities (like the slides to the mine) and learn the history of the salt mine, how salt are being mined through time. The Hallstatt Salt Mine is the oldest salt mine in the world so that makes it a bit more special. FYI, there are free toilets/rest rooms where you'll start the tour so if it's not too urgent, skip the paid toilets at the souvenir shop (only 50 cents tho) 😅

Everything about the salt mine tour was perfect overall. Although the size was noticeably smaller compared to the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland, the trip was made enjoyable thanks to the variety of activities included. The package entrance fee of €40 might seem a bit expensive, but considering all that was included, it was worth the price. You can ride the funicular up the hill comfortably, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. There are fantastic viewpoints where you can take memorable photos. Inside the mine, you can experience walking through paths once used by miners, sliding down the slides, riding the mine train, and learning a lot about the history and current use of the salt mine. However, there were a few points that I found disappointing: 1.Guide timing and language Despite 95% of the 50 people in our tour group being foreigners, the guide explained everything in German first and then in English, making it difficult to follow and stay engaged. I wonder why separate German and English tours aren’t scheduled at different times. 2.Racism I am a Korean who speaks English fluently, but there were Chinese tourists in my group who struggled with the language. Because they didn’t fully understand the guide's instructions, the sensor on the slide didn’t work correctly. Unfortunately, the young, short female guide made remarks implying that they were slow and unintelligent, which was extremely uncomfortable to witness. 3.Souvenir At the end of the tour, receiving a small salt souvenir was a lovely touch. However, the guide didn’t properly explain that it was complimentary, and instead, placed a tip basket next to it. All of my friends, except for me, thought they had to purchase the souvenir and just left it behind. I really wish more consideration was given to tourists who might have language barriers. **A little more kindness would elevate this already wonderful experience and improve the overall quality of the tour.**

The salt mine exploration was one of my best experiences ever. It is totally amazing ,the salt mine tour is incredible and give you useful information about its history. They used new technologies and they are also give you clothes to protect yours. The price is totally worth it and I highly recommend this place . If you have enough time in Hallstatt don’t miss this place.

We were excited to go on this tour, but neither my friend nor I expected it to be one of the highlights of our trip! A lot of thought and care was put into designing the tour. One thing we noticed is that the multimedia portions, which are each only a few minutes long, were created to express the history of the mine without much spoken language, so that they could be better understood by tourists who may not speak much German or English. I was impressed by the broadness of topics, including science, history, and archaeology, as well as the in-depth knowledge of the tour guide. Despite being inside a mountain, the trek through it remained visually interesting, which kept me excited to see the next area. Of course, the most fun part was the wooden slides, and, since there are two, you get a bit of a practice run on the first before they take your picture going down the second. Oh, and I thought it was great fun to wear the canvas coveralls, which felt like I was being invited to take on a miner's role. A fair warning that there is an uphill walk from the top of the funicular to get to the start of the tour, so be ready for that. If you need to stop for a break on the way up, there are benches and resting spots. During the tour itself, there are stairs at the beginning and end, but inside it is mostly flat.

Big ski area, ski slopes for everyone, good connection between the slopes and lifts/cable cars, high enough for spring skiing. Unfortunately a lot of people even in working days and too many beginners on red slopes in northern part of resort. Too few restaurants, especially smaller and cozy places are missing.

A wonderful place full of snow throughout the season, even now when the snow is dwindling throughout the Alps, Obertauern is opened all the way up to late spring. So fun 🍀

A very famous ski resort in Europe, thus expect lots of tourists during weekends and vacation. It's very pricy for accommodation and food in the restaurants just due to its name. Quality of course doesn't keep up with either name or price. The slopes are all well prepared and broad. The length is short though, on average it's a beginner's resort in terms of slope difficulty. Only about 3 pistes are a bit more demanding (7er). Nevertheless recommendable. Keep in mind this is an artificial tourist village only built for skiing during winter. In summer 90% of the village are usually closed.

Easily accessible. The connection of skilifts is a little chaotic, or at least I wasn't always able to read the map properly. We got a free buff with each ticket which was nice :)

It's a lovely large ski area with lots of varied slopes 🟦🟥⬛. The view is very nice and the small ski resort is also very clean and great.

Must try experience. First timer. Didn't have time to look around during the fly. To exciting, adrenaline high,tiers in my eyes ( glasses recommended). Would go second time for sure. More relaxed now. My equipment was put by the instructor the wrong way . Noticed just before my fly. Double check as only one instructor did the job for 20 people. Staff is nice and polite with adults and children.

The whole experience is good fun and is a must do..the entire things is arranged well , with the bus and the instructors at both the stations. if you are not taking the combo offer then you will have to walk around 800 mts in a bit steep downhill with the bag in the back.. it can be a bit too much for people who are not physically fit.

Breathtaking experience and was full of excitement. the Zipline has 2 stages and at the end you can either use flying coaster with extra charges and arrive faster or continue walking around 10 mins. The reason for giving 3 stars and not full stars is because : 1- The attitude of female receptionist was not professional and not friendly. We were told many times to rush or else the bus will leave us behind !! 2- The bus ride uphill was scary. The road is narrow and fit only ONE car. During our ride many opposite cars came and the bus had to get closer and closer to Mountie edge. Better arrangement can be done here !! 3- The attitude of the lady uphill at 1st stage was not friendly and you can notice her boredom. 4-The instruction to put on your harness were not great and lady didnt bother to extend support to people facing struggles putting on harness. 5- Thank you Slovie (The guy on 2nd stage) and the Africans guy ( Unfortunately i didnt get his name) at flying coaster . They were friendly and supportive . To summarize, you will enjoy the Zipline. As for flying coaster, you will be instructed to apply force all time and flex your hand (make it straight during the ride) which I found inconvenient. I rather walk down 10 mins than using flying coaster again.

The zipline itself is a great attraction! Watch for the weather, if it rains the zipline continue running and with the rain it is not a fun ride. The sky coaster is too fast for an 8 year old for our liking.

This is amazing experince. I love it. Good fast zipline😄 second ride is even faster and had a feeling of free fall the first few seconds. . Awesome. . Also amazing view from top of mountains.

The colors around this lake were magical in October! I definitely recommend visiting it also in autumn!

Lovely place to chill and relax. The car parking to the lakes for the day cost €5 .. you can take your dogs and picnics with you. They have done nice benches to seat and enjoy the scenery. If you need toilets they have some public portaloo toilets otherwise you can use the ones at the private places like restaurants. The lakes are walking distance. You can drive or arrive by bus but not sure how often is the bus to this place. They have a mini market inside where you can buy local cheese, salami, bread honey etc

Beautiful lakes. You pay entrance fee 5e per car. Large parking at lake Superiore, several food options. Espresso for 1,5e.

Here are 2 of the best trails around: 1. Wörthersee Rundwanderweg • Distance: 55 kilometers • Difficulty: Moderate • Duration: 12-14 hours (can be split over multiple days) This is the most famous trail around Wörthersee, circling the entire lake. The trail offers breathtaking views of the lake from various vantage points and passes through charming villages such as Velden, Pörtschach, and Maria Wörth. You can explore forests, hills, and lakeside paths. The trail is well-marked and can be done in stages, making it accessible for all levels. 2. Pyramidenkogel Trail • Distance: 10 km • Difficulty: Moderate • Duration: 3-4 hours This trail leads to the Pyramidenkogel, a 100-meter-high wooden observation tower that offers 360-degree views of Wörthersee and the surrounding region. The hike starts in Reifnitz and takes you through scenic forests before reaching the summit. The ascent is a bit challenging, but the panoramic views from the top make it worth the effort. You can also take an elevator down after exploring the tower.

A turquoise blue lake, mountain views and lush green nature. Wörthersee is a place which makes you to feel relaxed from the beginning. I think the only problem is that all the lakesides are surrounded by private beaches and hotels. However, there are lakeside locations that you can access for free. Especially Velden is an ideal town for having a walk and having a nice meal.

Beautiful place where you can enjoy a clean lake view with a walking track at one side. Lots of water sports activities and boat cruises are also available but only during summer. In winter everything stands still except 2-3 restaurants. We visited in winter so we witnessed Very few tourists and an ample amount of locals walking on the track and too many senior citizens (old to very old) were there.

You can go around the lake by car, bicycle, rollerblades or on foot. Or you can decide to visit the various towns and villages on the lake with the help of a tourist boat, which runs often enough to see quite a few towns in one day.

Nice trail for families and groups with great views on the water. Can be very crowded. We were a couple with our 2,5 year old daughter on a hiking backpack 🎒 What bothered me is that there were literally no indications on how long the trail would take, how long it would take back and neither about the bus schedule to return to the parking lot. So better inform yourself better before you end up in a hurry to take the last bus because nobody will look for you.

The Vintgar Gorge is great. A really nice gem of Mother Nature. We parked the car at P1 (central parking lot) where nice people were telling you where to park. A shuttle bus takes you to the entrance of the gorge. You can only enter the gorge 5min prior to your time stated on the ticket. If you come too early (because shuttle buses are only driving on a 30 minute schedule) you need to wait. The 3 star rating is because once you leave the place, no one takes care of you to return to your car. The signs are a catastrophe - even when you know if you are parking your car in P1 or P3. So a little help that would have been a time saver: Once you exit the gorge make sure you walk over the bridge, turn right and keep going straight and head up the steep hill to the left hand side. On the top take a left and there is a nice little place, where you can get something to drink and eat - this is also the place that offers a (pricy) shuttle service back to P1. The ride is 15 minutes - but finding it was not easy. We just had one person taking the shuttle and bringing the car to pick the rest of our family up. All in all - great experience - but returning to your car is difficult and not at all organized by the gorge but by a private person.

Gorge? Gorgeous (haha)! The overall experience? Not so great. We parked in the L1 lot 30 min after the park opened, and in the off season (April) there was already lots of people there. We bought tickets at the trailer in the lot for 15€ each, where there was a big sign that said this was the ONLY place to buy tickets (this is correct). At the desk, the lady asked if we would like seats on the shuttle, as the alternative was to walk an hour into the park. We opted for the shuttle, which would be a 20 minute wait. We took the shuttle into the park to the top of the gorge, where we then needed to scan our tickets. What we were not told at the ticket counter was that we purchased a timed entry slot, and we would need to wait an hour before we could begin the boardwalk. After waiting an hour, we walked the gorge, which is very well maintained and well constructed, and had great views. The boardwalk is a ONE WAY trail. We thought we could take the same shuttle back to the parking lot, and we were sorely mistaken. There is NO bus stop at the end of the gorge. There are signs that say it is an additional hour walk (hike) back to the parking lot. There were lots of stairs (people with mobility issues beware), and lots of ups and downs to continue along the trail. After about 20 min of walking, we made it to a small town, where there was another sign that said we were still an hour from the parking lot, but we could call a private shuttle. The shuttle (you can pay at the nearby bar/cafe) is 7€ each. We did not see any information about the shuttle to the gorge only being one way anywhere online, anywhere in the park, anywhere by the tickets. We only speak English, so maybe there were signs in Slovenian that we didn't understand, but be prepared for what may seem like an hour and half activity to take closer to 3 hours, if you're lucky (from the time we parked to the time we left was 5 hours). I would recommend anyone going to Slovenia to avoid this and find a cheaper gorge with a better system.

Really wonderful place. ** at the end you have to walk like hell and that to with elevation, there is no information available regarding it.** Its worth and take tickets in advance would help. For evening slots park your car at the entrance of Vintger and not at their free parting and use bus.

positive: wonderful natural formation negative: difficult to find your way around on site, communication between the parking attendant and the person who gives access is unqualified. Important information: you can buy offline tickets in the P1 parking lot, or I recommend buying tickets online. From the parking lot, buses will take you to the entry point. You can only enter at the time indicated on your ticket, not before. The gorge can be completed in a maximum of one hour. Then a more serious hike to the bus stop, which will take you back to the parking lot.

I've been to a few gorges already and this one was by far the most impressive. There is a Shuttle from Bled Central Bus Station that drives 15min to the gorge. Important: Book tickets in advance! Online tickets are sold out fast but ticktes can also be purchased at Bled Bus station.

The castle itself is perched atop the hill overlooking the stunning Lake Bled and surrounds, there are several picturesque viewing points from within the walls. The audio guide skipped several numbered areas and wasn't always easy to self navigate (particularly in the museum part). We ended the self guided tour at the tower by the entrance and were a bit confused by the current Rikli feature, we thought that space ought to be dedicated to an actual Slovenian. Bit steep (both climb and price wise) but otherwise a valuable historic experience.

It does have magnificent view and small things to do and see but €18 seems not worth, because it’s similar as any other castles in Europe. But informative as it is, giving you some Slovenian / lake Bled history. And tea time with the view was very nice.

Almost 13 years ago, my husband and I got married in this castle. Now we’ve returned to show it to our daughter. It’s one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia and is definitely worth a visit. Inside, there is also a museum, a restaurant, and a winery. The castle offers a stunning viewpoint over Lake Bled. You can reach the top on foot, by tourist shuttle, or by car. There is a paid parking lot at the foot of the castle.

The castle is not a big one, however it's location is superb. If you fit enough then use the steps, they are secure with a wooden fence. Unfortunately, you can't enter the courtyard without a ticket, but it is worth it. There is a nice view of the surroundings and various exhibitions inside.

Magnificent view. Nice place to have a beer.. or a cacao. You really have to hant to the Slovenian tourist places that they manage to present what they have to the maximum. Everything is presented. You have a museum, chapel, restaurant, bar, printing museum, wine tasting, lot of high sightseeing places, souvenir shops.. And so much great places to walk. The views from the castle of the lake are breathtaking.. the castle mainly houses a few museums.. not much to see inside.. there are some interesting souvenir stores and a gallery. There is a live printing less where you can print custom souvenirs

We had to stop by here for a piece of Bled Cake at their cafe. The view was amazing. As for the cost of entry - a little steep for not really having a lot to look at - mostly shops, restaurant and Cafe. There are a few small areas offering some history, but in no way is worth the entry. Point about parking - you can use debit/CC, but you may run into connection problems - leave your card in contact a little longer than normal. Cost is 3 euro an hour. By the way, there is some construction going on leading to the castle. One of the ways into the castle is closed. Bled Castle Bottom line - you are paying for the view, the cake, and a splash of history. Thanks.

A very beautiful and cute lake but during summer is very crowded. The atmosphere especially on the “boat” kind of thing that took us from the mainland I would say to the island was pretty great and we enjoyed our time there!

Definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended to walk around the lake which is around 6 km to enioy the beautiful scenery. The boats can also take you to the small little island in the middle of the lake for 16 euro per person.

Very calm and peaceful part of the world. Clean and quiet, if only you can avoid group tourists. Strongly recommend to take the boat for the island and visit the church - apparently one and only island in Slovenia! There are lots of resorts around for hot springs, which I would do it one day.

This is one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia and Europe also. Every part of it has a special meaning. If you come by car, you can use a parking near Petrol gas station. Price is 1,5€/hour. Other parking places near lake Bled, prices are 3€/hour.

Beautiful lake! The path that goes around it makes for a very pleasant walk. A lot of activities to choose from. P.S. Be aware, some of the ‘boat taxi’ drivers are scammers, check with other people how much they paid before you agree to any price. The island in the middle is tiny.

A must see if you visit Gorizia. It was very damaged during the war but they made amazing job. Inside is very good museum, I recomend you get a tablet at the ticket office for virtual guidance. The mideval kitchen is very well preserved. Unfortunatelly the second floor is under reconstruction so we left it for next time.

We were on a bike tour and did a quick stop. Really cool castle with great exhibits. Especially loved the musical instruments. An audio tour was included which was helpful.

Nice place to visit, you can appreciate practically the entire city from the top of the castle as it has viewpoints in any direction, there are some bars inside also to have a drink with a view

Great little experience. Some of the castle was closed for restoration works so I can't comment on all if it but nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable experience. The interactive and film elements are very good.

Interesting location, nice museum, but not a single info in slovene language! Only in Italian and a few in explanations in German. A lot of Slovene tourist- border is few metres away - but NOT A SINGLE TOURIST INFO IN SLOVENE LANGUAGE! Shame on you! Same situation is in town in restaurants, churches... Completely devastated park-wood on "slovene-side" of castle hill (in the east part of hill). Main building and buildings on hill top are nice.

We came here walking from the railway station in Nova Gorica, where to we arrived from the lake Bled in Slovenia. The castle is currently closed, but the space around it is very tidy, and there is a big playground in the beginning of the walkind path near the big parking lot.

A large and regular square. Especially the impressive architecture of the buildings fascinates. There are sculptures and engraving details in numerous buildings. This city square offers a wonderful visual perspective with its night lighting. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the area for fun.

Unity of Italy Square is a nice open square, one of the most beautiful areas in Trieste. Surrounded by historic buildings. The combination of architecture and open space makes it a perfect place for a relaxing stroll or to simply admire the beauty of the city.

Piazza Unità d’Italia in Trieste is simply breathtaking! It’s one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, opening directly onto the sea and surrounded by elegant historic buildings. The atmosphere is magical, whether you visit during the day or at night when the lights make it even more stunning. Sitting at a café here, enjoying a coffee with a view, is an experience not to be missed. If you’re in Trieste, this square is an absolute must-see!

What a beautiful square. Do not miss it if you're coming to Trieste. To us, it was a starting point of every tour and every search for a good coffee or a cake. A big plus is definitely the view on the sea on the other side. A must-see place.

The buildings on the square are so beautiful, and during the holiday season you can enjoy the festive music and Christmas decorations. The most wonderful experience!

One of the stunning places to visit at night. The Italians really know how to light up the night. This place is absolutely majestic, it beautiful during the day but absolutely gorgeous at night. It has lovely statues, water fountains and the buildings architecture is amazing. This place is one of my favourite evening places I’ve ever visited. It’s very lively, with lots to do in and around this area. How could you not check this place out.

I was here in August 2024, late afternoon and evening on a Friday. Very nice clean quiet place. There was a big band concert nearby. Lots of restaurants nearby, sure everyone can find their favourite within 10 minutes walk. :)

Beautiful, interesting, intriguing, mysterious, and cold at the same time. If you're passing by, it's definitely recommended to visit. It's easy to reach the castle, and there is well-marked parking available.

Super cool castle, lots of rooms and levels creatively built into the cave on the side of the hill. Loved the armor and weapons displays and period staging. We were there out of summer hours so the lower caves were inaccessible because of the hibernating bats. Check on that before purchasing tickets. There was no wait for us to get tickets or get in the castle. Will be back to explore the associated cave system!

We booked the castle on an excursion joining it with the caves. Its well worth a visit though i can imagine it gets super busy, we were lucky at the end of the season. Its a beautiful castle outside and interesting inside. Make sure you pair it with a booked cave visit nearby, definitely worth coming.

I completed the castle within 20 mins with the audio guide. I travelled alone so it was tedious to come by with public transport. I had to pay 40 euros for a taxi from Postojna cave to here, it was super inconvenient. I would recommend to visit only if you’re nearby / have a car.

The world largest cave castle! A must visit if you are in Ljubljana or Slovenia 🇸🇮 The castle is not far from the capital, close almost a 45 minutes drive to an hour. You can wander on the castle for an hour or two, we didn’t take the audio guide, but it looks like a good option. Make sure to visit Postojna Cave first, the cave comes earlier on the road and there is a ticket office for both attractions.

Castle is a must see if in the area. Fun for kids, but hold their hand! Suggest buying tickets in advance online. You can buy up to four experiences, including the cave tour. Cave tour sells out during busy times of the year.

The stalactites and stalagmites were absolutely breathtaking, and the lighting throughout the cave added a magical touch without taking away from its raw, natural charm. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating facts about the cave’s history, geology, and the creatures that call it home. The temperature inside was cool and refreshing—a perfect escape from the heat outside. Whether you’re a nature lover, adventurer, or just looking for something unique to do, this cave is a must-see. It felt like stepping into another world. Highly recommended!

We had to visit this place twice! Tickets are sold at specific times. We arrived at 3:15 PM, and the ticket office closed at 3:00 PM! Tours are given every hour, starting from 10 AM until 3 PM. We had to go another day, and we almost missed it. We arrived at 9:56 and ran to get tickets. We managed to buy them, and the tour started at 10:02. If you couldn't go into the cave, you can walk through the park above and see beautiful rocks! To go down, you need to join a tour. The tour is worth it! You need to see it with your own eyes! The size is huge! You can't take photos inside. It's cool inside. The tour lasts one and a half hours. After the tour ends, you need to make your way back to the parking lot, which will take some time!

All tours are guided. Guide is knowledgeable and really good at cracking us up with her humour! Learnt a lot about the caves and the formation of speleothems. I would recommend this place as the tour feels a lot less hectic/touristy than the Postojna cave. Parking is free at this site. Phototaking is strictly forbidden until you have reached the surface.

The most breathtaking experience. If you're not afraid of caves or heights then definitely make a stop at this place. The cave is the biggest underground canyon in europe. It was extremely massive. It felt otherwordly walking on the guarded pathways. Just be aware of the fact that it's so big that there is about 50m space between you and the ground.

Incredible, best caves and tour I’ve ever been on and probably will ever be on. Do this if you’re in the area. Keep in mind the other attractions close at 3/3.30 so go early to get it all in

I loved this cave system. It felt more educational than Postagena plus the car park is free. The guide (Tina?) was excellent and very knowledgeable answering all our questions. The visit was awesome and not to be missed on a visit to Slovenia.

Very friendly staff. Everything you might need (shop, food, toilets, etc.). Great tour gides with interesting stories. Everything is very well maintained and presented. Great experience!

Great central location, great service. The staff were very responsive to help us with any issues. The room is compact and comfortable. The kitchen is a bit of a tight squeeze but is well equipped.

Great location and great price. Everything you'd need. The bedroom is separate to the main room and it has a kitchenette, it is centrally located too with a large choice of bars and restaurants close by. Even though they are close we never had any noise problems. I don't think I would go back to Ljubljana again as I think I have experienced everything it has to offer but if I did go back I would stay here again.

U will not find a better location for a city tour. Great starting place for exploring the city, especially old town. Yet, noise levels at night are very low. No problem getting sleep here. We had Appartment 2 - it had everything we hoped for.

Nice bronze statues, whether the bridge is not the best from an architectural point of view. By the way, it is located in the long river area where there is the best concentration of buildings to have a look.

Lovely Bridge. It has a dragon ornaments on it. Apparently, the dragon is the symbol of the city of Ljubljana. After my tour guide told me that, I started seeing dragons all around the city.

Built 1900 to 1901 happens to me one of the largest concrete bridges in Europe at the time. The dragons have become a symbol of Ljubljana. Really cool dragons guarding this bridge and some smaller dragons defending the lamps! Stop by if you’re in Ljubljana!

Nice walk to the city square. Lot of bars and pubs around . The bridge is very small but apparently very popular among the tourist.

Easy to get to and over the river. Good restaurants around it. There’s also the morning market with lots of local food to explore.

Awesome. Amazing journey. Don't let the "talk" of it being "Disneyland like" deture you from going. The cave "rooms" are HUGE. Incredible complex and a highlight of our trip while in Slovenia. ( €25.80 p/p )

Caves are stunning as well as Predjamski castle. Shuttle bus to the castle start at 10am although castle is open from 9am. Timetable isn't on the web site.

A beautiful natural place, everything very well organized, on time, and although it is a little expensive it was totally worth it.

TICKET OFFICE FOR THE POSTOJNA CAVE. YOU CAN PAY FOR YOUR PARKING AHEAD WHEN YOU BUY YOUR TICKETS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT WHEN YOU EXIT.

Very efficient, especially if you book ahead online (highly recommended to save time).
