We were passing through town on a road trip from Florida to North Alabama. Unfortunately we pulled into this area at 7:00 p.m. and all the shops were closed. There was absolutely nothing we could do so we took this one picture and headed out of town to our hotel. But during the few minutes that we were there we met a gentleman who told us the story of how when he was in high school the students would take turns stealing The boll weevil off of the statue as a prank. 🤣 Kids!

This was a neat monument however, being in the middle of intersection made it a little difficult to enjoy closeup. Downtown Enterprise was very nifty! There's an eclectic mix of clothing, restaurants and specialty shops. Including a photography studio, Ballroom Dance class, Shopaholic, Simply South Boutique, You Nique Boutique, Daughter Dear Boutique pOpshelf, Corks & Cattle Restaurant, to man a few! They also have unique year round events!

A unique slice of American History! Whenever I visit someplace new, I always enjoy delving into it's civic history. It was a beautiful day to explore and to understand the Boll Weevil's significance to Enterprise, AL.

Always nice to see historical things. This is an old area of town and there are other nice to see things nearby. Good place to go for a nice walk. Good local coffee shop nearby as well.

Every city can be proud of something, and sometimes it may be unusual!

Very pretty little Campground. Only 20 or so sites. Lots of pine trees and nice hiking trails. Bathrooms and showers are well maintained. Sites are not too close together. Campfire pits are provided.

Well kept campsites, spaced out well and it is a relatively small campground. Bathrooms kept clean. Dump station easily accessed. Beautiful walk to the lake and then a boardwalk to the falls. No rain when we were there, so falls were trickling.

Probably the best camping spot I’ve ever stayed at! Stayed here with my Son and Grandson. Hiking swimming, kids areas, well kept camping area, facilities for large gatherings, and a great waterfall!

Love this park... 24 spacious sites ..rv. and tent..fire rings,water and electric ..separate place to dump tanks. Beautiful falls and lake. A nice hike Handicap accessible Large clean bathrooms. Nice hot showers and very clean. Staff is friendly

Spent one night. Enjoyed the hike to the waterfall. Part of the trails is closed off due to rotting wood on the board walk. There is another path you can take we just had to find it the hard way. My other gripe is that the trails to the bathroom are all linked to campsites, if you are staying at a campsite on the other side the road you have to walk through someone's site to get to the trail. Other than that the park was clean. I would stay again if traveling through the area.

Very lovely place to camp. There are hiking trails, a swimming lake, sand volleyball court, horseshoes and waterfalls to experience. There is a swing set at the campground and a bigger playground at the beginning of the hiking trail area. Bathrooms are nice and clean with several showers and a family shower area. There is electricity and water, a fire ring, and a picnic table but no cooking grill at any of the sites. Very shaded and cozy.

Ventured here before the Florida Caverns state park, and it was worth the stop. It's a smaller park, but the area is pretty, and the waterfall was flowing after overnight rains. The area is ADA accessible so it's a nice paved trail down to the waterfall. That area is actually in the central time zone, so we got an extra hour to check it out. It's a nice park to check out if you're in that area.

I’m still in absolute awe reflecting on my visit to Bear Creek Feline Center. The up-close interactions with their incredible cats—both big and small—were nothing short of magical. Bertie, Jim, and the entire team created an atmosphere that was not only surreal but also deeply educational and incredibly safe. Their passion and knowledge shone through in every moment, making the experience unforgettable. If you’re even remotely interested in wildlife or conservation, this is a must-see. I can’t recommend the tour highly enough—10/10—and I strongly encourage anyone to support this amazing sanctuary through donations. They’re truly doing remarkable work.

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!! It’s honestly such a great experience! it takes about 2-3 hours and the staff takes care of you at all times! Awesome people that love what they do! Seeing these big cats from so up close was a dream. If you are close or within this area check them out… you will not be disappointed. The tour of this sanctuary was AMAZING and very educational. Hearing about the different feline breeds, and learning each cats background was eye opening. My teen really loved the up close encounters and the staff made us feel secure in each enclosure. We will definitely be back.

This was hands down one of the best experiences ever. Bertie, Jim, and the rest of their wonderful staff are so welcoming and very informative on each cat and their backgrounds. Not only are the people nice but the cats are just as sweet, you can tell they have been treated exceptionally well here. These people genuinely care about all of their cats and if I get the opportunity again, I will definitely be back.

Had so much fun here. Took a group of 10yr old girls from a softball team. The owners were great. Birdie taught them a lot. Cats were beautiful up close and it was a rare experience.

The Bear Creek Feline Center truly is a one of a kind sanctuary. The dedication to providing a respectful environment for their incredible animals is truly commendable. The way they treat them is beyond amazing, with utmost respect and care. During our visit, we had the privilege of observing the wildcats and even interacting with some under controlled conditions. The staff's knowledge and passion were evident throughout the tour. I wholeheartedly recommend this sanctuary for an educational and heartwarming adventure.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Jim, Bertie and the staff were amazing to our group. Very informative and educational with the most majestic big cats ... I cannot wait to go back ! Thank you for all that you do for these beautiful creatures .

Definitely make reservations ahead of time online. We were there to check in for our tour and the families that didn't have tickets yet were being told there wasn't any availability for the next four hours. There definitely isn't enough to do in the town to kill that much time. The tour was awesome, we'd never been in a real cave before. We all thought it was so cool. They say it's strenuous, but it's not really. The footing is tricky because the food is slick and wet in spots. You will have to crouch down in numerous spots to walk through, but it's not claustrophobic at all. The rooms are all pretty big, it's just transitioning between them that you need to be careful. Our guide shut all the lights off at one point, which was unnerving, but a cool experience at the same time. Absolutely a must see in Florida. I had no idea we even had any caves here.

We had a great time visiting for 5 days. The caverns were fun and the campground was clean. Site 25 is super tight backing in and several of the others are as well. But, Ray, the volunteer camp host, Jack (aka Bob) cavern tour guide and the park staff were amazing. The early evening bat show was new, but also fun. Overall a great experience over the 5 days.

Beautiful cave, worth visiting. The tour guide was great, loved it when she showed us the "heart" of the cave, look closely for it in my pictures. There are some lower spots, but the guide will make sure you know about them and not hit your head. Go early though, the ranger told us the tickets to see the cave sell out by noon especially on busy days. They have a couple of trails that are also worth exploring! It's fun for adults and kids.

We came on a stormy day, and it was the perfect activity to get out of the rain. We started in the gift shop to purchase our cave tour tickets. We arrived five minutes before the last tour, and I do not recommend that. Tours sell out, but I was pleased to be able to make it onto the last tour. The gift shop closed after the last tour started, so I wasn’t able to check out much there. There were several people browsing and buying several souvenirs in the short time I was there. My party consisted of two adults and one child, and we all enjoyed the tour. I was amazing that such a cave existed in Florida. We were able to learn a lot and take lots of cool photos. We didn’t have much time after the tour, but we did check out part of a trail and decided that we needed to come back for the trails in the future. All staff encountered were friendly and attentive.

We took a quick day trip today and had the BEST time! Our tour guide of the caverns was Alec and he was absolutely incredible. Alec was kind, patient, funny and knowledgeable. He really made the tour so enjoyable! He’s such a gem! The walking trails around the park are well maintained. Hikes were definitely more challenging than I’m used to with all of the inclines, but manageable and fun. Be sure to get there early if you want to go on the cavern tour. The tickets sell out fast! I hope to come back soon and spend more time enjoying the rest of the park! Thankfully, the friendly woman at the entrance gate advised us to go straight to the gift shop to purchase our tickets, which was a great tip!

Florida Caverns State Park is an absolute hidden gem! The guided cave tour was incredible — the rock formations are stunning, and the lighting really brings out the beauty of the caverns. We even saw a tiny bat hanging above us, which was such a cool surprise! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the entire tour was fun and informative for both kids and adults. Helpful tip: When you exit the cave, turn right and take the nature trail — it’s a peaceful walk filled with native plants, wildflowers, and beautiful forest scenery. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the experience. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re passing through the area. We’ll definitely be back!

Florida Caverns State Park was a great cave tour. Our guide, Steele, did a great job! I was a bit concerned because we had a person with us with some mobility and stamina issues but the cave was easily navigable for her and we had plenty of time to be careful in a place or two. The park also offers a short hike to a tunnel cave, (which we chose not to explore from the outside). The museum and CCC history at the visitor center was fun, too. Great little day trip!

Really cool and interesting state park. The location is extremely unique especially for the state of Florida. It’s up on a 150 foot bluff with a great view of the adjacent Apalachicola river. There’s an easily accessible hiking trail maybe two miles at most in length, that’s shady and a little bit wet in spots. You can get down close to the river and you can access it from the viewpoint behind the old Gregory home. That’s located at the very end of the park. So I would just drive straight back to there and start working your way towards the front. There is a loop trail around the outside of the park. I didn’t do that and the campsites I couldn’t check out because they were destroyed last year in one of the hurricanes. Hopefully they’ll be repaired soon and open, this looks like a great place for a long weekend. So I just made a day trip out of it lots of cool plants and views. I highly recommend it. I’ve read somewhere that it’s great to visit in the fall when the leaves change color, because of Its overall height and vantage point it’s more like being up north than anywhere else in Florida. So hopefully I can get back an update this in the coming fall later this year.

Such a beautiful state park. We just finished up a 3 day tent camping trip there. We were on site 16, which was perfect because there were neighbors only on one side and a big field leading out to the overlook on the other. Sites are really small. I made note of site 30 and 18 as the largest. There is no easy access to water for fishing. There are places to access the river by hiking but not easily as the trails are pretty advanced. There is a nice playground and horseshoe area a short walk from the campsites. The Gregory house does tours daily for $3 per person.

I've been wanting to go here for a long time. It was a 4 hr drive for me. What I like most is that it is a challenging terrain to hike (at least by the river). I'll be doing more hiking today; the Torreya Challenge trail. The Gregory House looks really historic, and offers tours. I would do a tour if I was staying there. BTW, they're doing construction at the campground. Be sure to call ahead.

Laid back and fun old Florida. Small dirt road campground with a CCC building in the middle - gave a vibe of 100 years ago. Seemed in the middle of the jungle! Peaceful and quiet camping. And we loved the 10 o’clock tour of the home the next morning. Fascinating to be able to be in a river plantation designed to be able to float during floods and to hear the history of the Florida frontier days. While the roads look a little iffy, we had no problems at all in the RV with a tow. We had to unhook as the site was back in, but with the flat dirt road unhooking and re-hooking the next morning was no problem. Some of the sites are narrow and some are quite roomy. The ranger was very helpful in finding the right spot for us (he was also very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the area and the park.) We chose a site with a very large side yard and enjoyed sitting outside once we thoroughly sprayed ourselves with bug spray. If you have children, I would inspect the site before allowing them to roam. Ours was lovely with thick foliage, but had a pretty steep and unexpected drop on a trail about 12 feet off of the side yard. It was a very peaceful and lovely place with several overlooks and picnic areas. We would camp here again. (They also offer yurts, and we noticed the yurt that was occupied seemed to have very happy campers!)

Beautiful park. I camped one night at Bluff Rock. Nice hike in and the scenery overlooking the river is great. You need a permit for primitive camping, but the staff is very helpful and friendly and it was easy to get the permit. I did not see a single piece of trash anywhere on the trails or campsites. Thank you to the park rangers as well as fellow park visitors for making this an enjoyable place to visit.

My family and I spent two nights here at the campground. The park is a great place to visit if you enjoy hiking and history. We hiked some of the trails including the Weeping Ridge to the waterfall- small by any standard but still really cool to see in Florida. Be careful, there are copperhead snakes; I nearly stepped on one. The trail to the Confederate earthworks was neat to see. If you are not into hiking or history, I would probably give this park a miss. Most of the trees were destroyed in the hurricane a few years ago, so it is lower brush still with some trees. There are tours given at the plantation house at 10AM on weekdays and other times on the weekend (sorry, I didn't catch those times). We really enjoyed it and it was a bargain at $3 a person.

Torreya is easily one of my favorite state parks in Florida. There's no swimming, but the hiking and the history more than make up for it. Visit the Gregory House if nothing else, it's gorgeous, and they give a tour every day (10 am Eastern), twice a day on weekends (10 & 2). The camping is top notch as well, with facilities and such if that's what you're into, and primitive camping if it's not.

Best field trip ever was all the kids had to say. Absolutely a hidden gem. Loved the guided tour and all the educational aspects as well as the uniqueness. The touch pools were so fun and even the look only pools were very cool to see. The dock and marsh were fantastic and the learning never stopped but neither did the fun. It was a shame we had to leave, but we definitely checked out the gift shope where we adopted Artemis and hopefully she'll be rehabbed and released soon. Thanks so much to all the staff for such a wonderful day!

Hidden gem in Northwest Florida! I have lived in the area for 3 years and was pleasantly surprised by the resources available to educators. They have the capacity to accommodate large school groups, also offering various professional development opportunities across grade levels.

This place is very quaint and very cute. We’ve been a few times and they always have something a little different each time we go. Our favorite is the sea turtle. She’s blind due to a boating accident, so she remains at this sanctuary for the rest of her life. The touch tanks are really neat too. I’ve attended to feeding of the sharks, which was really cool. They have their own story too! Definitely check this place out!

A very nice place, kind people, and I love how they rescue these sea life! Very kid friendly and touch tanks are amazing! My family and I go there every time we are here for vacation! Would recommend fun for all ages!

Definitely a fun place to visit. We were able to touch some aquatic life. Self guided tour was nice to go at your own pace. Really cool huge aquatic replicas throughout.

Very fun! So many touchable exhibits which let you hold urchins, snails, starfish and more! The staff are very educated, sweet and enthusiastic! A must see in Panacea! Everything is wheelchair accessible and there is plenty of parking. No food available, but there are 2 nice restaurants within walking distance!

We liked it as adults, kids will definitely like it. Lots to look at and touch, we even got to see them feed their sting ray Peaches! It was fun.

We really enjoyed our visit. The history displays were meaningful, informative, and local. The animals and metal sculptures were educational and fun. We didn't try the zip line, bit it seemed those who did enjoyed it. Please check on the deer, though. I understand all the animals there are rehab animals, but both deer we saw were lethargic and had diarrhea.

We enjoy coming for events and visits to see the animals. The 1880s working farm is really neat too. The ground is uneven, so be prepared for that. There is a ropes course and a zip line. There are a lot of other animals to see also.

I have been coming to this place since I was 9 and enjoy it everytime. This time my 82 year old Mom did the zip line, she is truly fearless and amazingly agile for her age. People were great setting up rigging and practice how the zip line works before your up high. Was a fun time to watch her and family complete the 1st part of all the zip lines available. Nephew went on to the harder challenge over the wooded area and could see animals. Love the walk over the water, cypress trees and viewing the eagles, white Squirrels, dear, and pathers.

It's a favorite place to go for everyone in the family! You learn so much about native animals, conservation, and history all in one place, plus it is gorgeous and full of trees. The animal enclosures are spacious, natural, and not man-made. Lots of interactive learning opportunities for little minds and big imaginations.

My kiddo loved it! It's definitely worth the trip. We'll be back.. He's so proud of himself. First time doing the tree to tree adventure! Ended with a zip line so much fun❤️

More wildlife preserve than museum. My kids loved it. The staff was very kind and patient with a large group of cub scouts who asked a million questions along the way!

Great fun for the whole family. My toddler loves to walk around and see all the sights and animals. The cafe is a perfect, simple lunch spot, too. Terrain is a little rough for a stroller, but there are also plenty of boardwalks.

FSU Baseball games are always a lot of fun. It is actually something I can take my wife and two teenage sons to and they all have a good time. Highly recommended. Always a good time.

I attended right out of high school, from 2012–2013. 90%+ of my college stories come from this time, all of them are crazy, and I wasn't even partying. FSU takes the term "party school" and dials it up way the heck past 11. All the drugs and alcohol coincided with a city that is very much not a safe place, especially where my dorm (DeGraffe) was. Gunshots and bloodcurdling screams were not at all out of the ordinary, and the casual nature with which people referred to certain landmarks (such as the, erm, Grape Tunnel and Trail (There was no G.)) is in retrospect quite concerning. The dining halls often gave us visibly dirty plates when parents weren't around, students got shot every semester (sometimes on campus), the school put out little propaganda placards on dining tables to show off its students' morality, except it was stuff like "9/10 FSU men believe a woman has the right to say no" which is, uhh. UHH. And to top it all off, it was virtually always 90%+ humidity. Don't go here. Like, to give perspective: I once stayed in an AirBnB next to Methadone Mile in Boston. The other people in that AirBnB also happened to have attended FSU. We were UNANIMOUS that the worst part of Boston was LEAGUES safer than student housing on FSU. Let that sink in. I hope it's gotten better since 2012, but I'm not holding my breath.

They campus is absolutely gorgeous and we had a great tour here. The area is really nice as well. I can't complain about the weather either since I was born and raised in Florida and it beats the freezing cold. They have good academics and are well recognized, at least in my perspective and I can't see a valid reason I personally wouldn't want to go here - meaning I think it would be a great school to attend. It's also in the states capital, which for my major is a huge perk.

THIS CAMPUS IS VERY BEAUTIFUL. ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS GRADUATED IN 2024 WITH HER 2ND DEGREE, AND SHE LOVED IT. MY YOUNGER DAUGHTER WANTED TO COME HERE, BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PROGRAM SHE WANTS, OR SHE WOULD ATTEND THIS 2025 SCHOOL YEAR.

In town for a cheer clinic. Campus was closed, but the outdoor areas are nice, spacious walking. Really enjoyed learning about the history.

This was a great campus to go to. I went here on a field trip and it was the most beautiful campus. The scenery was nice and the buildings were clean and spacious. I highly recommend taking time to go see this university.

Wonderful institution with highly renowned and quality professors. Most beautiful campus in the state scattered with aged live-oaks, historic buildings, and an incredible landscape design. Unmatched access to the Florida State Capitol. Tours available through the FSU Visitors Center at the stadium.

Took the boat tour here and it was so good we did it again in the afternoon. Knowledgeable rangers talking about the wildlife and fauna that you see along the way including manatees, alligators, turtles and many different birds. Great way to spend an hour!

Beautiful springs with lots of history. You can come to play in the water and/or take the boat tour. The boat tour lasts about 30 minutes and was excellent. Lots of birds and alligators. There is a cafe and restaurant inside the lodge. Good food and ice cream. The bathrooms inside are clean as well.

Another great tour on the water seeing manatee and alligators and jumping mullets and all species of birds and plants! Captain Paul did a great job driving the boat and was a wealth of knowledge!! Fun trip with friends!!

We will return. Wakulla Springs is one of the world’s largest and deepest freshwater springs, pumping out millions of gallons of crystal-clear water daily. Nestled within Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, it’s known for its lush surroundings, diverse wildlife like manatees and alligators, and historical significance. Did you know, it was a filming location for classic movies like Tarzan and Creature from the Black Lagoon - Shirts available in the gift shop. The springs offer swimming, boat tours, and a glimpse into Florida’s pristine ecosystems.

Beautiful. The boat ride is a must do activity. Ranger James was a great guide on the boat ride. It was fun to see so many different birds, fish and alligators.

We had a lovely time on a boat tour here at the park! Our tour guide, Ranger Carson, was friendly, informative, and funny. We appreciated him sharing his knowledge and making it a one-of-a-kind experience. I will be calling moorhen chicks “swamp chicken nuggets” from now on. The passion that the staff have for this place shines through in all they do. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us!

Grew up visiting Wakulla Springs and now bring my kids to enjoy it! Great swimming area that is sometimes staffed by Lifeguards. Enjoy the boat ride and exploring the lodge. If you’re lucky you might spot a manatee!

Came for a field trip, and it was stunning, the snapdragons were amazing. The grounds we spacious and grand so bring good hiking shoes. We will be coming back.

A stunning place, and a must visit whether you are a history enthusiast or nature lover. Unfortunately, we arrived around 4:00 pm and learned that the last house tour was at 3:30 pm. However, Don from the Visitor’s Center kindly helped us make the most of the remaining time. We were able to explore the garden area and were mesmerized by its beauty. Great place for weddings and cocktail parties as well.

The museum and tour are really more about the houses history as a guest house and hunting lodge for wealthy Ohioans and Yankes than it's history as a plantation. However, the house tour was amazing and very well guided. How can you  not like a kitchen that has 5 rooms (to include a pastry room and (2) 1934 GE refrigerators) The dog collar exhibit on the 2nd floor was actually pretty interesting (apparently the spiked collars were to save dogs guarding the flocks from wolf neck bites). But the highlight for me was wandering the gardens and grounds and admiring the moss draped trees. Slavery is very briefly mentioned although you could miss it if you blink.

What a beautiful piece of history. The grounds are gorgeous. We loved the gardens and beautiful architecture. We even found a picnic table and had lunch by the lake.

Give yourself 4 to 6 hours to really enjoy this place. The tour was good and the house was beautiful. Children under 5are not able to go into the house so plan accordingly. The master bedrooms were turned into an Native American artifact gallery and a display for time piece setting furniture. I think it would have been better if we could have had a glimpse at what it would have looked like during Pansie's residence. The upstairs is now an Art Gallery. So even though I loved the Native American artifacts it makes more sense to locate it upstairs. Our Guide was good but there were quite a few questions he could not answer from our group. I really appreciated being able to wonder at our own pace through the grounds, stables and milking quarters. They were as impressive as the interior of the house. I would highly recommend going!

After house tour spend some time walking around. Beautiful place.

Over the years, we have hosted the weddings of both of our daughters at the beautiful Pebble Hill Plantation. Our family's love of the place actually started about 27 years prior when my wife's employer hosted their Christmas office party there. We enjoyed a splendid dinner followed by a tour of the beautifully decorated grounds via a carriage ride -complete with hot chocolate and the entertaining stories of the staff. As a life-long 'southerner', I actually learned that it was there, on their plantation, that the 'hushpuppy' got it's name. By their account, the women cooking the meals for the other residents, would fry up the small scraps of breading and toss em to the dogs gathered around to keep them quiet. As for the weddings, our first in 2017 was an awesome experience - due in part to the beauty of the surroundings and the personalized assistance of the former event coordinator Cara Dollinger. The most recent, in February of this year, was equally as spectacular - despite the torrential downpour which lasted over 24 hours during the event weekend. Just like Cara, the current event coordinator Elizabeth Pulley, swooped in and she and her staff helped to implement Plan B, then Plan C as the rain continued to flood the tent setup as a back-up to the planned outdoor ceremony. In the end, it all went off without a hitch, to include the PH staff security helping with getting the guests and their cars navigate a couple of 'slippery' areas in the parking area. It was at the Sugar Hill Barn which was relatively unaffected despite the 24+ hours of rain. One of the same staff members was back bright and early giving us access as we retrieved our property and cleaned up the mess. From end to end, and over our past 27 years of enjoying it, Pebble Hill Plantation has been a beautiful place to visit and an Awesome place for a wedding!

We just stayed here this past weekend and can't wait to go back again! We love this place! We had an issue with our A/C in our cabin and Maintenance came right away, his name was Tim and he fixed the issue immediately. He was super personable and friendly. In the office we met Teresa C. and she was amazing, so friendly and made you feel at home! Thank you to Tim and Teresa C. for making our stay so awesome!!

Very nice campground with SO many amenities for the kids. They were never bored, and that is saying something. With multiple playgrounds, full basketball court, mini golf, disc golf course, jump pads, and plenty of room to ride scooters and bicycles, they were never without entertainment. We visited in the winter, so did not get to enjoy the waterpark and pool, but plan to return in warmer months to try them out. Office staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable trip!

The campground is clean and spacious. There is tons of activities for the kids to do, everybody’s very friendly very safe place for the children to roam and have fun. The side-by-side and four wheeler trails are lots of fun. Our children love the pool with the waterslide and the trampolines. This is a place that we go to every Fourth of July and Halloween. It has become a tradition. Definitely recommended.

My wife and I had very high expectations, after reading all the amenities that the website offered. We were excited to take our youngest daughter and our 3 young grandchildren on this fabulous camping adventure, along with our friends and their children. However, just minutes after arriving, we were met with disappointment and ATTITUDE!! The water park park was closed (though we were told it was open during a phone call to confirm, prior to making reservations, and driving over 3 hours to get there). along with the water park being closed, the gem mining was also closed, however, we were told that we could purchase a bag of dirt for 20.00 and there MIGHT be a gem in the bag... there were a few staff members that were NOT professional at all, having no customer service skills at all. VERY RUDE, VERY UNFRIENDLY. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. with big beautiful trees and decent playgrounds ( NO SHADE at the newest playground though, so bring sunscreen and an umbrella for shade. The lakes were beautiful as well. Our stay lasted from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. We spent the entire day Saturday with NO WATER. The staff had no empathy for its guests during this inconvenience either. The pool is small, with NO SHADE either. Bring LOTS of bug spray, because you will be eaten alive by the gnats, no see'ems, bumble bees, and mosquitoes!! ( part of camping in the wilderness). And they will tell you to have your garbage out by the road between 8-10am.. trust that it will not be picked up before 2pm and by the time they get to it, the squirrels have already rummaged through it SEVERAL TIMES. ( they should put garbage cans in the budget). They currently have a "now hiring sign" out front, so I really do hope that they plan to hire a more professional property /general manager that has experience in customer service , and just being kind. I didn't catch the short chubby lady's name that was so negative and hateful, but they really need to put her on garbage duty, and bring in some less argumentative and a lot better positiveness. (There were two young ladies working the office/store that were very pleasant and sweet).. PROMOTE THEM!! I truly wish I could give a 5 star rating, but that negative Nancy done us in... I really hope they take these reviews seriously, because that place really does have amazing potential... with the right staff!!

Disappointed to say the least. Guess it is my fault for not doing more research. It’s been 4 years since we’ve been here. Had another baby and it’s a 4 hour drive. We were SO excited to come back. Their New Year’s Eve use to be AMAZING. So much to do. This year all they have is their basic activities they do every Friday-Sunday. Tie dye and a craft. They said it was too wet (morning dew) to do their “warrior obstacle course”. Staff is friendly even tho I was clearly annoyed. I can’t blame them. The place is completely dead. I love the old school nature vibe that you don’t get at many new resorts. But to go from what I posted on the second photo to absolutely nothing, really sucks. Oh. But they got a new playground (which I will add is really nice). We won’t travel this far again, makes sense why the park is dead. Owners really drove this place down. It’s sad.

We took our children here when they were little and thought it would be the perfect place to escape Hurricane Milton. The staff excelled from booking to check-in. Unfortunately, the area was hit by Hurricane Helene the week prior and they had a lot of recovery still left. THANKFUL they had availability for my entire group! We were safe, the playground was perfect for the kids and we will definitely visit again during the season.

My entire life I have driven past this blue water slide, and I finally was able to come and have the experience at your campground this past weekend. You definitely lived up to the dream! Our party of 15, ranging from grandparents, teens,pre-k, and pups had a blast! The kids loved checking the activity board in the evening to get excited for the upcoming day… tie-dye, the train ride, and BINGO were amazing! I already had to promise to come back for rock painting. Our teens enjoyed the wilderness scavenger hunt…. Since they could take a phone lol, and well us parents enjoyed watching them try the ninja warrior. Lol The staff was INCREDIBLE. They were all friendly, engaging, and made the environment feel safe and still fun. The younger staff at the water park monitoring the lazy river and slide really were wonderful with my kids and got to know our families (and thanks for holding my phone to go down the slide🙌) The, well I’ll call them camp directors, were so personable yet professional. You can tell the people that work there are there because they enjoy what they do. Creating a wonderful family experience for everyone. Overall, we will be back! IF YOURE LOOKING TO TAKE SOME TIME, SLOOOOW DOWN, and make some amazing memories for everyone… BOOK A TRIP! Nice place to warch concerts. Make sure to check the schedule before you head for a concert. Winter schedule is way dofferent than Summer and Spring. Great place to hang out with your family.

The seating & the quality of the sound equipment were awesome!! It was very crowded, but with this arena being as organized as it is, the large crowd was not a problem at all!!

We hiked from the state park, thru the biking trails out to the lookout then back up using the Florida trail. There is good elevation change thrughout with 220 ft of elevation change over the 7.3 miles I walked with plenty more miles to be had, however this section of the Florida trail is skinny with parts over-grown and ended up picking up a few ticks with the tall grasses. I definitely wouldn'tbring my dog here. Over-all this is a pretty walk but the ticks and over-grown trails lose some big points. $2 for a bike. $4 for a single person car. $5 for a multi-person car but at the very front of the park is a parking lot that takes you directly onto the Florida Trail.

My wife and I camped here for one evening on August 19, 2024 on our way back from Georgia to Florida. We were towing our 18 travel trailer with my Dodge Ram 1500. I had booked the camp site online about a month prior to our stay, and chose which site I wanted based solely on its proximity the restroom/shower house. When we arrived in the early afternoon, the lady who checked us in at the gift shop / camp store was polite and gave us some tippers on what to see within the park's boundaries. As we drove through the campground on the way to site, we noticed it was almost empty. Only about 4 or 5 other campers were staying there, and no one was camping in tents. That was probably because it was super hot and humid outside, and the mosquitos were out in legions. Our camp site was hard grass, with some gravel underneath it, but it had rained a lot prior to arrival, so the grass was a bit spongy and soggy. It was plenty deep, but not very wide, however it was secluded and had lots of privacy with trees and thick shrubs on either side. The mosquitos were VERY thick, so we had to soak our selves down in lots of insect repellent just to be able to get the trailer unhitched and hooked up to the power and water hookups. The bathrooms/showers looked almost brand new (recently constructed) and were very clean. The state park (with embedded cultural center) is quite large and has three separate campground loops. We walked through the onsite Stephen Foster Museum, which was interesting, but just not something I would drive more than 30 minutes to visit. We only stopped here at this state park for a peaceful, one night sleep since it's 5 miles east of I-75, just south of the FL-GA state line, and the reviews correctly stated that it was VERY QUIET. The small one street community of White Springs, just south of the park's entrance, was almost a ghost town when we drove up and down its central avenue. There are only two restaurants in the town and one was closed. As a result, we decided to go check out the nearby town of Live Oak (about 15 miles west of the park) and stopped for a a neat bar and grill called The Brown Lantern, which had some cool pictures and Florida cracker decor on its wall. After that we drove back east and south to Lake City (about 12 miles drive SSE of the park) for dinner. That made the stopover somewhat worth it, since we'd never been to this small old Florida towns, even though we both grew up in the state. The next morning, we had a hearty, fresh made breakfast at Fat Belly's in White Springs, just south of the park's entrance, and the food and service was good. Overall, I would NOT go back here to camp at this state park because my wife and I are "glampers" (not super "outdoorsy") and we like to see as much of neighboring small towns (and their eateries and museums) as we can whenever we're on the road camping. White Springs is just a one street town, and with only two places to dine, it's just not exciting enough for us.

Camped, self-contained unit. Looked in on bath house; seemed clean and had everything one needed. Laundry facilities just outside bath house. Museum in grounds very interesting and educational. Learned things about Stephen Foster I did not know. Unfortunately, lots of damage to buildings and trees from last year’s October hurricanes; it is still being cleaned up. Lots of trails to hike. An enjoyable park.

We arrived for a one night stay in the campground about 3:30. We had a very hard time finding the “store” where we were to check in. The actual check in process was very easy and quick. We had just enough time to visit the Stephen Foster museum and while there were able to direct another lost camper to the check in building. Our campsite #44, is a pull through spot. Very secluded. The campground seems quiet, but we are here on a Monday for only 1 night. The restrooms are clean. Very clean!! The water pressure is good, more powerful than at home. There are 2 louvered screened openings for ventilation. I was afraid the room would be too cold but it was not. The outdoor temperature was 53°. There was a light and heat lamp in the shower area that warmed the bathroom well. Along with the hot water I was actually hot at the end of my shower. I wish we were staying longer on this trip. I definitely want to come back.

I was here just a few weeks after Hurricane Debby passed near this area, so that changes the experience. I tried to bike several of the trails but came up against downed trees and brush blocking the path or areas that were too wet and muddy to get thru. With so many of the attractions not functioning, it seemed like the upkeep of the park has been neglected. The campground was in good shape with all the sites I saw were usable and level. The campground is being well used. It was never full, but there were folks going and coming daily.

Yeah there's some trails, a playground and a place to launch kayaks. The river is a bit high and fast to kayak with children. There are a lot of things that are damaged and blocked off or taped off. The area to launch kayaks was not great, it's a pretty long way down stairs to get to the water, and the launch itself is concrete stairs going into the river. There are Christmas light displays left up around the park, apparently year round. The campground is clean, and the camp staff are friendly. There are volunteers who help kids do crafts. We saw dear, and apparently there are lots of gopher tortoises around to see. At a visitor center there are bags of things for kids to check out, including binoculars, a book of nature identification for Florida, and net to catch bugs and a little magnified container to put a bug in. The visitors center had one of those Elkay water bottle fillers, which are great. I just really wish the restroom buildings had them as well. There were decent restrooms with men's and women's and each also had two single / family occupancy, which are great if you need to bathe your small children. The park is pretty dog friendly, although you can't take your dog (pets) inside buildings. There are lots of great picnic areas even outside the campground area. There are beautiful pink flowers all over the place in the spring. The camp sites are spacious. There is only one 30 amp plug in for campers and two standard outlets like in your home that you could plug a coffee maker into with an extension cord for example, if you've ever had trouble with your camper pulling too much power from the 30 amp and tripping the breaker or blowing a fuse.

One of my favorite springs in Florida! Ichetucknee feels like a trip to old Florida! We rented tubes and bought tram tickets inside the park. Pretty affordable but if you can bring your own tubes, I would recommend that. We saw tons of turtles, fish and even a beaver! It’s a great family friendly, nature focused activity! It’s relaxing and also fun! The water is crystal clear, refreshing and cool. 10/10 recommend! We went on a Monday and it was so peaceful!

What an amazing and enchanting place... great way to spend the day wether as a couple or with friends and family. Line for entry was a little slow moving but worth it. Park was clean and you can purchase your tubes or have the option or bringing your own. Water was super clear and refreshing

My family loves to find new state parks, especially cold springs, to explore and visit. Ichetucknee Springs might be our top rated spring so far! About 2.5 hours from the Orlando area, it's an amazing day or weekend trip. The water is clean, refreshing, and always 72 degrees. We rented tubes and floated down the river. Then swam and had a picnic lunch at the North Entrance. Beautiful water and elevated walking trails. Tips for keeping the trip frugal bring your own floats and food and drinks.

Clearest water to swim in. Water is crystal clear and a constant 72 degrees. It’s cold when you first get in, but you are fine within 10 seconds. Take you something to float on or a noodle. It will help when trying to look in the Blue Hole. Goggles also for the Best experience to explore and see underwater. There is a spring near the picnic tables. The Blue Hole is about a 8-10 minute walk. There was a food truck which we ate at. The food was good.

Went kayaking down the Ichetucknee river ,on the 3 mile run. The river was beautiful. The water was clear,full of fish and turtles. I would have given it 5 stars,except the kayak i rented sucked. Other than that,everything was great. The shuttle service was very good. The people working there were very pleasant. Took an early morning paddle,had the river all to myself.

Natural and clear water with plenty of space for crews and large families. The place has a food trailer, trail for hiking and rent of canoes and kayaks. Super fresh weather. The water was OK for a chill day. This place isn't good for fishing. The park doesn't allow it and makes sense. Would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful spring cristal waters not so crowded perfect for relaxing. The kayak rentals have a great price for the whole day and and the landscape from the river is very nice. The diving in the blue whole is definitely one of my bests totally recommended. Also lots of trailing from one place to another

My wife and I drove three hours to visit this campground because my friends spoke highly of it. When we arrived, the staff were amazing, and the place was beautiful. However, I do have some major complaints about my experience. I understand that part of the issue is due to the time of year I chose to visit, but I also believe the staff could have handled the situation better. I drove three hours to escape the city, the noise, and the crowds—to relax and decompress—but my experience was the complete opposite. There were between 20 and 25 college kids, all drunk, screaming, and driving their trucks up and down the roads while yelling. Despite my campsite being deep in the woods, on the opposite side from the waterfront where the group was, I could still clearly hear their loud music and shouting. It was completely unacceptable. I paid $80 for my wife and me to enjoy a peaceful getaway, but instead, we were surrounded by noise and chaos. If people want to party, they should go to a bar—not a campground meant for relaxation. Although the staff frequently drove around the grounds, they did nothing to address the disturbance. And it wasn’t just me who was upset—at the bathhouse the next morning, several other campers were complaining about the same issue. I understand that you can’t please everyone, but at some point, you have to choose whether to prioritize a peaceful environment or allow disruptive behavior. Unfortunately, this experience didn’t live up to the relaxing getaway we had hoped for.

I stayed at Ginnie Springs campground on April 14, 2025, hoping for a peaceful nature retreat, but was deeply disappointed. Around 7 PM, a group 300 feet away played music so loud we couldn’t hold a conversation. I reported this to the front desk, who advised me to find staff patrolling on carts or move to another site. Despite searching for hours, I couldn’t locate any staff, and the music continued until 9:30 PM. Ironically, I then saw a staff cart pass by—playing their own music. After a brief period of quiet, another group on the opposite side of the park started blasting music and shouting from 11 PM to 1:30 AM, despite the park’s midnight quiet hours. No staff intervened, and no patrols were seen during this time. For $80 per night for two, this experience was far from worth it—nearby cabins or homes offer similar prices without the hassle. The springs themselves are stunning, with clear water and visible fish, especially magical at night. However, if you’re seeking a quiet camping experience away from city noise, Ginnie Springs falls short. Staff do not enforce park rules, making it impossible to enjoy the natural serenity. I recommend choosing another location for a true escape.

Such a beautiful place! I've been here twice now and still highly recommend to friends and family if they are wanting to add more memorable moments. I camped both times and talk about them all the time.! This place is definitely fun, beautiful, relaxing, and breath taking all in one! Last time I was there we saw a manatee!!!!

I have been coming here for five years now. The place was great at first but since last year it is not fun anymore, constantly suggesting to lower music that was already low enough, we dont blast music just around our area, constantly telling us to keep it quiet while other groups are the same and nothing was said to them, some of personnel were cool but others were really rude. No fun allowed only come here to look at the trees and for the springs. For the price, not worth it.

What a beautiful experience and even more beautiful day. Lots of activities for the family from camping to swimming to just plain doing nothing. Each spring offer views for all to enjoy with plenty of picnic table seating. The most visited springs are Ginnie and devil’s eye. You can stay all day if you plan properly and prepare we spent about four hours here and they went by pretty fast, just exploring nature. Love to see places like this still exist in its natural habitat and I would recommend for families couples or just a quick getaway trip in nature.

Nice, easy location to get in and out of. They offer pull through lanes if you need the accommodation due to size of your rig. Only stayed for the night but was worth the stay. They do have a pool and facilities and showers as well as laundry

My first visit to Ginnie Springs was in 2012, and the area felt like a pristine, untouched resort. Camping overnight was the best part—quiet, peaceful, and not overly crowded. My second visit, I think 2013 or 2014, was a day trip, but it was still a great experience, even without staying overnight. For my third (2015) and fourth (2019) visits, the experience was mostly the same, though the crowds were noticeably larger. My most recent visit was a few days ago for a two-night camping trip, and it was disappointing. The place has gotten worse. Music was blasting from every direction, and it was overcrowded, even inside the springs. The toilets and bath facilities are the same as they were over 10 years ago—no upgrades. The porta-potties at the campground were fine on the first day but became almost unusable by the second due to no cleaning or toilet paper refills. At $40 per night, it’s not worth the stay anymore.

We absolutely love this place! This area is absolutely beautiful. Be prepared for some stairs (132 stair steps broken up by small landings one way!) It is well worth the workout! There were several small waterfalls since it had rained the day before. Take advantage of the lovely benches at the top of the trail and enjoy!

Nice little park for a quick stop, or bring a meal and stay longer at picnic area. Lush vegetation and trail is easy. 1st video turn volume up for owls chattering.🦉 I only gave 4 stars as I wish there we more trails. Great park to enjoy some nature!

Love seeing a different type of Florida lanscape. We went the day after some heavy rain so we got to see some "Florida waterfalls". The stairs down were manageable for everyone in our group (ages 6 to 59). And the trail around the top was very nice.

Devil’s Millhopper State Park is a truly unique destination—where else can you descend into a prehistoric sinkhole in the middle of Florida? The 132-step wooden staircase takes you from the rim down to the lush, fern-covered bottom, and while the climb back up can be a bit of a workout, there are plenty of landings to rest and take in the view. The short trail circling the sinkhole adds a peaceful, scenic walk through the surrounding forest. My only disappointment was discovering they no longer carry staff medallions, which would’ve made a great keepsake. Still, it’s a memorable spot well worth the visit!

Awesome Place to Explore for a couple hours. A long staircase takes you to the bottom of the sinkhole for an Incredible View. Nice and Easy to Walk Trail that goes around the Top of the Sinkhole. Such a Beautiful Place. I definitely recommend a visit.

The visit to this park was a gift from my son on my birthday! We enjoyed the leisure walk around this awesome sink hole, the birds and the scenery were just perfect for me. But, I skipped the steps, this trip... But, anyone is welcome to step all the way down. Enjoy!

Wonderfully peaceful experience. We went in the winter while temperatures and bugs were ideal although sites and scenery were as expected for the season. Our tour guide and boat driver was excellent and knowledgeable. Lots of gators, a few birds but beautiful scenery in this precious place. We will return

Loved visiting this state park it's a huge expanse of wetland with great trails and old homestead site and even a trail with an observation tower it was a lovely visit

This was an awesome experience. We went in February during an unusually warm day (80 degrees). It was nice, not too humid or buggy. If you're not used to southern humidity and bugs, I'd plan to visit here during winter or late fall months. The visitor's center was great. The staff were helpful and shared so much information. It's such a neat experience. The boat tour is an additional cost, and it is totally worthwhile. There is a federal park fee cash or card are accepted.

Absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend renting a canoe. It allows you to go deeper into the swamp and explore side trails. You can get much closer to the wildlife as the noise does not scare away the animals like a boat would. If canoeing is not your speed, do the boat tour, the guides are very knowledgeable and can tell you a lot about the local flora and fauna.

Such an amazing place to visit! Everyone should learn about this magical space with such a unique habitat. I recommend doing the boat tour directly with them, which you can schedule through their website. You can have lunch at their cafe, learn from knowledgeable guides from the region, and spend some time at the visitor center. There is a whole tour path you can do in your own car for free. Get the map in the office after paying your $5 fee for entering the park. Everyone is so friendly and helpful!

Great place to visit. Full of wildlife. We saw deer, rabbits, turtles, all different types of birds and of course alligators. The trails are nice and easy to navigate. Didn’t do a boat tour but will definitely be back to do one.

Had a great tour today - despite the rain that decide to rain down on us a bit earlier than forecasted! Our tour guide was amazing and she was so knowledgeable about all the animals around the property. Barry was very much involved, always right in front or behind us, ready to jump in and start feeding all the big cats or hyenas and have them display their sheer massive size and power, yet gentle and affectionate side too. You can really tell they all take a lot of pride and love in what they do here. Barry was even kind enough to run back and grab me a jacket because he could see that with the unexpected rainstorm (all the kiddos were prepared, of course, just not mom and dad) - that I was a bit chilly with my short sleeve shirt! Just the little details that add up to make an experience that much more wonderful. 5⭐️.

An amazing place for people of all ages!! Our tour guide, Mia, was great to have on our Valentine’s Day tour! You can tell they genuinely care for the animals there. Along with the conservation of these magnificent creatures. I would recommend everyone to tour here at least one, and maybe consider sponsoring some animals or donating!

this place was very educational for those who love animals. we were able to view a variety of their different animals up close and watch feedings of the big cats which was very cool. i definitely plan on returning with my family to share this place. you can tell that all of the animals are happy and share a bond with the owner, which is a wonderful sight to see and i’m happy to support this place.

Amazing experience! Our guide Mia was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with our group of about 100. I was impressed and seeing how the animals really love the zookeepers was great.

A great place to visit if you love animals. They have only endangered species from all over the world. They provide a great care and you can tell they love their animals. When you see how some of the animals kiss and cuddle with the owner, you can tell, they are loved. Scarlett who is a hyena was my favorite. Her purr is unforgettable.

An amazing and very educational conservatory where you can get very up close with the animals. The staff and owners are amazing and very friendly and will answer any questions you may have.

This museum is a nice little gem. It was easy to find and parking is just across the street. The highlight of my visit was the garden. The azaleas were blooming, which gave the garden such nice color and promise of Spring. The museum was nice with unusual art displays. The children's section of the museum was impressive with hands on displays. I can't wait to bring grandkids here.

Nice collection and beautiful gardens. The gardens are closed when it rains, and I wish I had known that. I probably wouldn’t have gone since I was mainly interested in seeing the gardens. Overall, the museum is neat. There is a large kids' area with plenty of activities.

We shared a wonderful visit to the gallery and gardens yesterday. It was peaceful and relaxing, as well as entertaining. The garden overlooking the river, with the magnificent live oak, made me want to sit awhile with a good book. We finished off our visit with lunch outside from the cafe. It was delicious! Thanks to the staff for making our day such a pleasure.

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is visiting local art museums—and this one did not disappoint! 🎨✨ The exhibitions were impressive, and best of all, no crowds—just a peaceful atmosphere perfect for appreciating art in silence. But the real hidden gem? The garden out back. 🌿💐 Sitting there with a book, soaking in the river views, felt like the ultimate way to spend a relaxing afternoon. Art, nature, and tranquility—all in one place. 🏞️📖💕

This is a lovely mid-size art museum. It's large enough to have multiple exhibits to see but not so large that you can't get to them all. Even better, they have a beautiful garden with views of the ocean. Definitely worth the visit.

The Cummer has very nicely kept riverfront formal gardens featuring a gigantic monster of an oak tree that sprawls way beyond its propping. That and the painting of John Stewart Curry's "Parade to War" makes the price of admission worth the fifteen bucks. The interior galleries house objects of a variety of styles, cultures, and centuries. The kids work/play studio space is also intriguing and fun.

The gardens were in full Bloom and gorgeous, the weather was nice. The water was sparkling the museum was wonderful.

You need to order tickets in advance. Totally something you can do in the car. It is easily one of my favorite zoos. The animals were happy and active. The gardens were lush and beautiful. It was a wonderful way to spend a day.

I visited the zoo a lot when I was younger. I remember an experience here where I recorded tedious notes while walking around. It was so fun! I took some of my best observatory notes in this location. I was always either on a school trip, with family, or just dreaming of future visits! Either way, coming back as an adult has been such a refreshing experience. I have really slowed down, observed, and appreciated the animals, especially the beautiful big cats and a very photogenic lemur that seems ready for a close-up. The zoo is peaceful, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Whether you’re going for education, fun, or both, it is definitely worth the visit.

If you’re anyway local buy the yearly pass, after 2 visits you break even. Plenty to see and keep the kids entertained, I highly recommend paying the extra $10 per person for the train ride and the animal feedings. We got the train to the back of the park and worked our way forward for the day. Just before we left we did one last loop around the park on the train to say bye to all the animals. Make sure you bring a good amount of water, snacks and a packed lunch if you can.

Wonderful zoo. Lots of walking but lots of rest areas. The Trout Grille was great food. As with any zoo, food, drinks and souvenirs are pretty pricy but worth it. The only thing my family felt was a waste of time was the train ride, all you really see is the back of the concrete sleeping quarters of the animals and staff storage. It's a quicker way to get from back of the zoo to the front but you have to stand in line for 30+ to even get on the train. We could have walked it and been there faster. It was clean and family friendly minus the substantial amount of people smoking weed to the point you would suddenly get hit with a huge odor of Marijuana at any given time. The animals all were healthy weight and, beautiful coats. I wish there was a better map that lists every animal and how to get there instead of their generalized map. But would do it again as it really takes 2 days to take in everything.

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens offers a diverse and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. We bought the all inclusive tickets. The zoo boasts a wide variety of animals, with well-maintained and thoughtfully designed habitats. We loved the sloths and reptiles! The zoo's landscaping and vegetation create a beautiful and immersive atmosphere. The train ride is a must! The abundance of greenery provides shade and a pleasant walking environment. The food and drinks are extremely pricey but that's to be expected.

Had a great time with three kids here. Lots of fun activities and a train to ride with the full experience tickets. Large zoo with lots of animals to see. Enjoyed feeding giraffes and birds. Clean and friendly staff throughout. Would recommend.

We finally decided to visit the Jacksonville Zoo this past week, and it did not disappoint. We chose a weekday, and experienced no issues with traffic (the Zoo is right off I-95) or parking. Parking was free, but the Zoo does encourage visitors to purchase tickets in advance via their website to avoid delays. We did the e-tickets (very reasonable cost) and breezed in with no wait. We were able to view many of the exotic animals in their habitats. Our favorites were the elephants and the giraffes. We were able to feed one of the giraffes a flower! I was impressed by how helpful the staff was, especially with questions about the animals. We ate lunch in one of the cafes at the Zoo. The food was ok, and the prices were a bit high. I would suggest eating before your visit to save money. I would turn to this Zoo. We had an enjoyable time!

I really enjoyed my visit to this sanctuary. The enclosures are beautifully equipped nice size and the staff really know their stuff. There was an older woman just walking around with a volunteer t-shirt on giving us all kinds of information about the animals It was a wonderful time. I was able to capture some great videos I hope you're able to take the time to watch and go visit. All the money from visitors goes to helping the sanctuary continue to run and supply for the animals that are there. I will be returning with my husband next time. I'd also like to add it as absolutely wheelchair friendly I went by myself an electric wheelchair and all was well. Lots of good vibes and kids enjoying animals they would never otherwise be able to see. Thank you thank you thank you for providing such a wonderful place for these animals that came from such horrible conditions. This is definitely a heartfelt mission for these folks and I would support them 100%.

Great time with my daughter. The guides are fun and the owner is entertaining as well. Cats look happy, as well as the other animals. There is a house cat that came around and he was super friendly as well. A random excursion ended up being a great time with my daughter. Please donate and visit as that helps keep the animals fed and cared for!

On my trip to Jacksonville last week this was easily one of the most enjoyable activities. Nice to see these immense but still Lil' Kitties. It is a self guided tour but there were several volunteers around who were more than happy to inform us about the cats an their histories. Glad to see such a nice place for these amazing creatures.

A wonderful experience! Highly recommended. Our family was very impressed with how well the animals are taken care of here. The staff has an incredible bond with the animals and you can easily tell that they live for these animals. Our family took our time and interacted with the staff and volunteers to learn more of the backstory on each animal. It took us about 1.5 hrs to go through everything. This is not the "zoo" or "theme park attraction". These animals are being animals, relaxing and enjoying life. The property is well maintained and clean. We will be back for sure!

Went to the night feeding and it was a little pricey, but I know it goes to a good cause. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone living in Jacksonville or visiting. Never seen so many tigers. From a production experience not as good of an experience as the Jacksonville Zoo, but all the volunteers are passionate about their work and the facilities exceeded my expectations.

Our 3-year-old was thrilled to see tigers, lions, leopards, bobcats, and even a bear up close. I don't typically like seeing wild animals being held in captivity, but this place is different. It's obvious these animals are well cared for. Considering many of these animals have been rescued and donated from places that couldn't properly care for them, they are in good hands. I highly recommend visiting and donating to this place. I also recommend not whistling at these beasts, as they don't appreciate the cat-calls.

I had an amazing stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Amelia Island! The hotel was super easy to find, and was located in a very quiet part of town. The hotel was located by the harbor- so it was very cool to see all the various boats along the water front. The staff was so friendly- they really went above and beyond to make sure my stay was great! The hotel rooms were very spacious, clean and quiet. The internet in the room was super fast- which was perfect for late night Netflix binging. Great location- very easy walk to various restaurants and the beach. Can't wait to stay again!

We came in for our son’s wedding. I booked a block of 15 rooms and booked 3 personally. Positives: The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and the suites were nice Negatives: There is a train just outside of the hotel that goes by all day and night. It’s horn goes off for what seems like an eternity each time. During the three days were there they came by multiple times between 5 AM and 7 AM. On Saturday, despite the fact the hotel knew there were three weddings, they turned the water off for an hour without notice. My guests (15 rooms of guests) could not shower before the wedding. When we asked if they could delay the shutoff, they told us there was not a manager on duty and they were not willing to interrupt a manager during the weekend. They shared that this was planned maintenance and they were not going to do anything about it. Worst customer service of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

I have stayed at this Hampton Inn 3 times now and will definitely be back! You can’t beat the free parking, free breakfast with lots of options, and accessibility to Centre Street for the price. The hotel is very safe and quiet. Every room I have stayed in has had a great view and the second story saltwater pool is fantastic as well! I love staying here because you can actually walk out of this hotel and immediately be within short walking distances of so many good shops, restaurants, and bars. Highly recommended by my husband and I!

If you’re staying in Amelia Island, head to the Hampton Inn! It has it all. The location could not be more ideal — situated right in the heart of Amelia Island, it’s within easy walking distance to charming shops, excellent restaurants, and the water. Each morning, the complimentary breakfast offered an impressive variety of options. Another standout feature was their evening happy hour, which included complimentary snacks and half-off drinks. It was a wonderful (and unexpected) touch that made winding down after a day of sightseeing even more enjoyable. Parking was effortless as well. The property offers ample parking, and I never had an issue finding a convenient spot — a small detail, but one that made a big difference. Overall, the Hampton Inn Amelia Island combines an unbeatable location with excellent amenities and genuine hospitality. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This Hilton property is all about location, super close to the historic downtown area with great shops and restaurants. The hotel is old, and it shows! We had 2 rooms in our group and sinks drains were very slow draining...practically clogged, one was cracked. All the bathroom corners looked like they haven't been cleaned for years. Also, one of the bathroom outlets pulled out of the wall and actually sparked, kinda scary! Next trip to the area I'll be looking for an AirBNB.

We always enjoy the Hampton Inn in Fernendina. The rooms are clean. The staff is welcoming, and the free breakfast is a plus. All rooms are dog friendly as well.

Good job to the park rangers! Very friendly and watchful. They drive around and keep the park safe. Delightful bike ride with my husband and older teen. Camp sights, bike trails, walking trails, bird watching, beach access, and the historic Fort Clinch make this a good day for families. I would not recommend riding bikes here with smaller children. Motorists are mostly looking out for you, but it works both ways, we pull over a quick second to allow them to pass. As with the other reviews, this is a gem for anyone who loves nature, the beach, and history. Check out Fort Clinch. It's a few dolars to get in. Pack some water. 🇺🇸

Beautiful State Park. I absolutely love the live oak trees hanging with moss. We only camped 1 night but would definitely camp here again. Most sites are pretty large and have some privacy. The usual picnic table and fire ring and clothes line. Easy walk out to the beach. Bath house was newer and clean. There is also a washer/dryer available. It was really quiet the night we were there. We did have a couple armadillo’s visit us when sitting out by our fire. We did drive up and check out the fort. It was cool to see and visit. The store is by the fort and has souvenirs, ice and wood. This would be a great park to have a bike.

I finically made it out here this past fall and it is a gorgeous place to drive around and walk around. We learned so much checking out the fort which was beautifully preserved. I had no idea the spaces would be so impressive. The walk around and through the fort was well maintained and I recommend this as a family group trip for families that are interested in the natural landscape and are history buffs. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely amazing! We were so impressed with how well they have kept up the property. It’s absolutely worth a visit. We also went around the beach and looked for sharks teeth. We found some awesome stuff, including a possible piece of a Meg’s tooth! Very cool!

Beautiful state park. We're on the river side. Plenty of privacy and shade on this side. Easy walk to the river and fort. Seen deer all over the place. Campsites have firepit and picnic tables. Has a clothesline for wet clothing and towels. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Has washer and dryers. Haven't checked out the beach yet. But we still have 12 more days here. And yes. We will book this campground again.

We visited on a cold and windy Christmas Day. The state park entry fee is $6 per car, and there's an additional charge of $2.50 per person to visit the fort's interior. I thought the additional fee was worth it. Part of the enjoyment was an interaction with 'true-to-form' re-enactor! Outside of the fort, there are a few areas for non-campers to park to bike or hike. The fort parking lot allows access to the beach on the St. Mary's inlet.

Great history lesson for the whole family! Truly a must see. Afterward head to the beach to find sharks teeth!

Absolutely loved the tour! It is heart warming to know that these animals are rescued and well taken care of at the reserve. Lots of information on the animals as well as how they ended up in St Augustine. The close up view really gives you a perspective of how large they are! If you’re an animal lover I definitely recommend going on this tour. I also absolutely love that they send emails with pictures of the animals and how they’re doing. Wonderful organization!

Our visit to St. Augustine Wild Reserve was absolutely fantastic! We went with two families, including kids (8 and 9 years old), and it was an unforgettable experience. The variety of animals—big cats, bears, hyenas, wolves, and more—was incredible, and we were able to get remarkably close to them. The enclosures were impressively well-maintained, and it’s clear the animals are well cared for. One of the highlights was watching the big cats getting scratched and acting just like playful kittens, it was amazing to see! And hearing the lions roar up close was an experience we won’t forget. Highly recommend this for families and animal lovers. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

This is an experience to remember. Up close with guides giving excellent information about each individual animal. The animals look very well cared about and the guides help show the love between them. I consider it an honor to be able to witness such compassionate care of God’s creations. Highly recommend this tour, couldn’t think of a better use of my money!

An absolutely amazing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The animals are so beautiful and the reserve clearly takes great care of them. 5 stars will highly recommend to everyone. The pics are from their website and emails. They don’t let you take pics of your own but don’t let that stop you from going. Just enjoy the moment.

So fascinating with all the different Lions, bears, tigers, and other wild animals there. our guide is personable and the other staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely enjoyed every minute of the guided tour and the information about the animals. Would definitely recommend to anyone and looking forward to visiting next time I am in St Augustine.

My family and I have been to the Wild Reserve, St. Augustine Alligator Farm, and Jacksonville Zoo in the past few years, and the Wild Reserve is by far our favourite. Getting so close to the animals is amazing, and the tour guides are super knowledgeable, providing information about the specific animals and the species more generally. Add in that visit fees support a good cause and it's an easy five-star attraction.

Fantastic place to view the history of the game. With the opportunity to use clubs from the 1800's, see some great exhibits of past greats. Not to miss is the chance to play the challenge hole. 132 yard par 3 across the lake. Well worth the trip.

A great place to stop and visit. It's much bigger than I anticipated. It has all kinds of stuff. Anybody would enjoy it. There's also a little gift shop and an eatery.. and for anyone who may not want to go in, there's an IMAX right beside it.

As a lifelong golfer and enthusiast it was a great experience to visit the World Golf Hall of Fame . The wonderfully pristine grounds and the exquisitely layed out exhibits , made my visit here an all-around pleasure.

Loved it! I'm 67 yrs old, so all my golf heroes are featured here. The exhibits are well done and you can spend hours. Some of the narrative cards are too small for aging eyes but overall, a great experience. So cool to have an island green golf challenge to test your skill as well as a golf simulator were you can "play" some of the worlds famous golf holes. If you're a golfer/golf fan, you'll enjoy your visit.

I loved hanging out here. However, it was a ghost town and it’s sad to see that they’ll be closing up shop in St Augustine and moving to Pinehurst in the next couple of years. The golf target challenge was fun.

Nice walk through the history of golf. From the first balls and clubs to todays equipment. Several interactive activities from 2 putting area's, one with the old style clubs and early greens conditions and one with modern day fast greens and equipment. Also a simulator where you can play a hole with modern (Ping) equipment. Outside there is a 138 yard shot over water to an island green to test your skills. A good time indeed, allow 2-4 hours.

I've scene commercials, I've read about it and today I finally came here to the World Golf Hall of Fame. Absolute blast . I was here for 4 hours . Read a lot of interesting facts of golfers from around the world. Never imagined how this experience could make me love the game that much more . Friendly staff great food and awesome opportunity to play island par 3 hole.

It gets no better than Hanna Park. With amazing beaches and add in the best pavilions for any family get together. Love that we can take our pets with us to enjoy the beach.

We drove in from Mobile, Alabama. Stayed over the new years weekend! We love it! The park was crowded with kids and families. Would highly recommend! All sites have running water, electrical outlets and fire pits!

The beach is always great, the splash pad is so much fun too! There is a great playground, paddle boats, and camping grounds. There is lots to do here!

It's always a great time here, low tide leaves some perfect tide pools for Littles to explore and some pretty awesome sea life. If you have the chance, go. Best spot for tide pools is number 1 and 2 right next to Mayport.

If you want to see real alligators in the wild, you should go here. There are picnic areas, beautiful views for photos. My best recommendation.
